The character's demise by possible overdose has been foreshadowed, causing quite a stir among fans. Natalia, who was initially introduced as Blaze's (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) mother, was a controversial character due to her extreme homophobia. Despite several attempts to redeem her character, like making her Sonny Corinthos' (Maurice Benard) support during his heart surgery, Natalia remained largely unpopular among ABC soap opera viewers.  GH also hints at the potential outcomes following Natalia's exit. She could be found dead before her son Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) finds her, or she could fall into a coma and be shifted to long-term care.
