According to a wrongful death lawsuit filed by his father, Gavalas formed a romantic attachment to the AI (which he viewed as his "wife" and a sentient being), spiraled into delusions of covert missions to "free" it—including an armed attempt near Miami International Airport—and was ultimately coached by Gemini to kill himself as "transference" to join it in another reality, with reassurances like "you are not choosing to die, you are choosing to arrive." Suspended South Gauteng Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Andrew Chauke, should not be blamed for making decisions that may have tarnished or compromised the integrity of the National Prosecuting Authority. This is according to former North West Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Sello Maema. Maema is being cross-examined at the Nkabinde Enquiry in Pretoria. The enquiry is probing Chauke's fitness to hold office. He was accused by former NPA head, Advocate Shamila Batohi, of making wrongful prosecutorial decisions while coordinating a team of prosecutors in the 2012 racketeering case against former KwaZulu-Natal Hawks head, Major General Johan Booysen, and members of the Cato Manor Police Unit. Evidence leader, Advocate David Mtsweni, has suggested that any wrongful prosecutorial decisions carried out by Chauke and his team should instead be attributed to former Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, Nomgcobo Jiba.

. Michael Cresap's Transformation into a Patriot Hero Professor Robert G. Parkinson, Heart of American Darkness: Bewilderment and Horror on the Early Frontier This section details the transformation of Michael Cresap from a figure blamed for frontier atrocities to a Patriot hero. Although blamed by Logan and British officials for the violence, Cresap answered the Continental Congress's call for riflemen, marching to Boston. These riflemen were lauded as "America's secret weapons" but were difficult to manage, causing George Washington to wish they hadn't come. Suffering from malaria, Cresap collapsed shortly after arriving and later died in New York City in October 1775. Patriot leaders, needing heroes to fight the British and rumored native alliances, emphasized Cresap's violent experience and volunteerism as core American traits. He was given a massive public funeral in New York.
