The most expensive House primary race in American history just delivered a massive victory for President Trump. In Kentucky's 4th Congressional District, Trump-backed Navy SEAL and combat veteran Ed Gallrein has defeated longtime Republican incumbent Thomas Massie after a brutal, record-shattering primary battle that saw over $32 million poured into attack ads and campaign spending. This race became a referendum on loyalty to President Trump and America First priorities. The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Nutrition recently hosted a refresher training focused on Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARCs), aimed at strengthening reproductive health services and expanding access to modern family planning options across the island. Held from April 20 to 23, 2026, the training brought together healthcare providers from various health facilities to build capacity and enhance service delivery. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that clients receive high-quality, rights-based reproductive healthcare. The refresher training was conducted in partnership with the Government of Saint Lucia, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), UN Women, and the Government of Canada.

Muscular dystrophy (MD) is a group of genetic diseases that affect about 16 to 25 per 100,000 people in the US, with the most common childhood form being Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and the most common adult form being myotonic dystrophy. The prevalence of DMD is estimated at around 1 in 3,500 live male births. Prenatal carrier screening for this is part of the ACMG Tier 3 expanded carrier panel. This is different from spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).
