(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Nigerian Muslims killed 13 Christians including three pregnant mothers Morning Star News reports that Muslim Fulani herdsmen killed 13 Christians in central Nigeria on May 8. Unbelievably, the gunmen killed three pregnant women. They also injured dozens of Christians and displaced hundreds more. Such attacks are common in Nigeria's Plateau State. A leader at Evangelical Church Winning All commented on the recent killings of Christians. He said, “They were martyrs whose lives were claimed by the ongoing genocide against Christians in Nigeria. They died exactly where they chose to stand in the line of duty, lamps burning, voices lifted, refusing to abandon the post God had given them.” In Revelation 2:10-11, Jesus said, “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. … He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” Top ISIS leader killed in northeast Nigeria U.S. and Nigerian forces killed a top ISIS leader in northeastern Nigeria over the weekend. Abu-Bilal al-Minuki was the second-in-command of the Islamic State. The terrorist planned many attacks and hostage events, especially attacks on Christians. On Truth Social, U.S. President Donald Trump wrote, “He will no longer terrorize the people of Africa, or help plan operations to target Americans. With his removal, ISIS's global operation is greatly diminished.” Texas Children's Hospital ended transgender surgeries last week In the United States, Texas Children's Hospital agreed to end its transgender operations on minors last week. The Department of Justice, in coordination with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, secured the historic settlement. The hospital agreed to pay $10 million in damages for performing mutilating procedures on children. Five doctors at the hospital lost their jobs as part of the settlement. Texas Children's Hospital will now establish the first-ever de-transition clinic. The clinic will provide care for the victims of transgender drugs and surgeries. Trump created $1.7 billion Anti-Weaponization Fund The Trump administration created a $1.7 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund” this week. The fund would compensate Americans who faced unjust investigations and prosecutions by the Biden Justice Department. Listen to comments from President Donald Trump. TRUMP: “This is reimbursing people that were horribly treated, horribly treated. It's anti-weaponization. They've been weaponized,. They've been, in some cases, imprisoned wrongly. They paid legal fees that they didn't have. They've gone bankrupt. Their lives have been destroyed, and they turn out to be right. I mean, it was a terrible period of time in the history of our country.” 37% of U.S. adults say religion is gaining influence in American life A new survey from Pew Research asked Americans what they think about religion in government and public life. The survey found that 37 percent of U.S. adults say religion is gaining influence in American life. That's up 19 percentage points over the last two years. And just over half of Americans have a positive view of religion's influence. Also, 17 percent of respondents say the federal government should declare Christianity the official religion of the U.S. That's up from 13 percent in 2024. Council of Nicaea affirmed doctrine of Trinity 1,700 years ago And finally, this month marks the anniversary of the First Council of Nicaea, over 1,700 years ago. In late May A.D. 325, 300 Christian leaders convened in the city of Nicaea, located in modern-day Turkey. The council dealt with the doctrine of the Trinity. In particular, the church at the time had to refute the heresy of Arianism. The heretical teaching denied that Jesus is fully and eternally divine. The council went on to affirm the divinity of Christ in the Nicene Creed. It is recited by churches around the world to this day. The creed says there is “one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by Whom all things were made.” John 1:1 and 4 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ... In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, May 20th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Wednesday April 22, 2026III Week After EasterToday's episode draws our attention to the holiness of God, the supremacy of Christ, and the affirmation of His mission. And a brief explanation of the difference between the Catholic and the Protestant Bible. In **Exodus 19:16–25**, God descends on Mount Sinai in thunder, lightning, fire, and smoke. The mountain trembles, boundaries are set, and the people are warned not to approach casually. It's a powerful reminder that God is not only near—He is holy, and His presence demands reverence and awe.In **Colossians 1:15–23**, Paul lifts our eyes to the greatness of Jesus. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, and the One through whom and for whom all things were made. He holds everything together and stands as the head of the church. Through His death, He reconciles us to God, making peace and presenting us holy and blameless. Finally, in **Matthew 3:13–17**, Jesus Christ is baptized, and heaven responds. The Spirit descends like a dove, and the Father's voice declares, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” It is a moment of divine affirmation, launching Jesus into His public ministry.Together, these passages remind us: God is holy and worthy of reverence, Jesus is supreme over all creation and our Savior, and in Him we see the fullness of God's plan revealed and affirmed.

In Genesis 17, when Abraham was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to him to reaffirm His covenant with Abraham. This reaffirmation concerned both the promise of a land, and the promise of an heir from the union of Abraham and Sarah. Additionally, the sign of circumcision was given to Abraham at this time, a ritual that every Jewish male had to have performed in order to be part of God's covenant people.

(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Russian-Ukrainian war in its fifth year The war between Russia and Ukraine entered its fifth year this week. International Christian Concern reports religious communities in the Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine continue to face harassment and violence. Protestant churches are especially targeted with intimidation, raids, and closures. The European Evangelical Alliance is calling on Christians to pray for their brothers and sisters caught in the conflict. The organization noted, “Churches continue to serve courageously. Acts of compassion and solidarity are widespread. Stories of protection, provision, and spiritual awakening remind believers that God remains present and active even in the darkest times.” Romans 8:28 reminds us, “We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” 1.8 million casualties in Russian-Ukrainian war After four years of fighting, Russia and Ukraine have experienced an estimated 1.8 million casualties. That includes people killed, wounded, and missing. U.S. President Donald Trump continues to broker peace talks between the two countries even as the war drags on. Ukrainian representatives plan to meet with U.S. envoys in Geneva, Switzerland today. This is ahead of a potential trilateral meeting between the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine next week. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently wrote on X, “President Trump wants a solution that ends the bloodshed once and for all.” European Commission fines X $140 million Speaking of X, the company is challenging a $140 million fine imposed by the European Commission. The commission is using the European Union's Digital Services Act to impose censorship on American tech companies. Jeremy Tedesco with Alliance Defending Freedom stated, “The platforms the Digital Services Act targets … are the modern public square. They are where Americans debate politics, share their faith, and hold the powerful accountable. … The EU Commission is targeting X for a simple reason: X is committed to free speech, and the Commission demands censorship.” El Mencho's Mexican cartel extorted and harassed pastors As The Worldview reported on Tuesday, Mexico's military forces killed the drug cartel leader, Nemesio Cervantes, known as “El Mencho” on Sunday. He was the most wanted person in Mexico and one of the most wanted people in the United States. The cartel he led was known for terrorizing not only businesses but also church leaders in Mexico. Pastors faced intimidation, extortion, harassment, and threats at the hands of the cartel. Trump affirmed “one nation under God” In the United States, President Donald Trump delivered his 2026 State of the Union Address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday. The speech lasted for an hour and 48 minutes, the longest State of the Union Address in modern tracking. At one point, he asked a question. TRUMP: “One of the great things about the State of the Union is how it gives Americans the chance to see clearly what their representatives really believe. So tonight, I'm inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle. “If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support. ‘The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.'” (Republicans applauded) Not surprisingly, all the Republicans stood and all the Democrats remained seated, revealing the stark contrast between the two major parties. Throughout his speech, the president mentioned the upcoming 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. He acknowledged the hand of Providence in our country's destiny and celebrated recent renewal in religious interest among young people. Listen. TRUMP: “I'm very proud to say that during my time in office, both the first four years, and in particular this last year, there has been a tremendous renewal in religion, faith, Christianity and belief in God. “This is especially true among young people, and a big part of that had to do with my great friend, Charlie Kirk, a great guy, a great man.” (You can watch the State of the Union here.) Singer Johnny Cash remembered for faith in Christ And finally, today marks the birthday of Johnny Cash. The iconic American singer was born on February 26, 1932. He rose to fame in the music scene in the 1950s before coming to Christ later in the 1970s. He became known as the “Man in Black” for his all-black stage suits. After his conversion, Cash would use his music to share the Gospel, often performing at Billy Graham Crusades. Cash remains one the best-selling music artists of all time. He was inducted into the Country Music, Rock and Roll, and Gospel Music Halls of Fame. One of his last recorded songs was called “I Came to Believe.” Listen to the chorus. “I came to believe in a Power much higher than I. I came to believe that I needed help to get by. In childlike faith, I gave in and gave Him a try. And I came to believe in a Power much higher than I.” Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Pick up a copy of Greg Laurie's biography entitled, Johnny Cash: The Redemption of an American Icon. The USS Gerald R. Ford and Gunboat Diplomacy in the Caribbean Guest: Rebecca Grant Rebecca Grant affirmed that the arrival of the USS Gerald R. Why was Jesus baptized, even though He had no sin to repent of? First, it marked the beginning of His public ministry and vividly foreshadowed how it would end—with His death, burial, and resurrection. Second, it was God's public affirmation that Jesus is “the Son of God,” a title reserved for the promised Messiah. This […]

We celebrate moms and spiritual mothers, acknowledging the joy and the aches holidays can bring (loss, struggle, longing). Jesus meets each of you in your unique story. He knows what you need. Jesus deeply loved His own mother and all women, treating them with radical dignity, respect, and compassion—truly countercultural for His time.Key Points:Jesus' Radical View of Women:Spoke respectfully to them (Samaritan woman, John 4; woman caught in adultery, John 8).Healed them publicly (Peter's mother-in-law, Mark 1; woman with issue of blood, Mark 5; bent-over woman, Luke 13).Affirmed their faith & worth. Many women followed & financially supported His ministry (Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Susanna - Luke 8). Mary of Bethany learned at His feet (Luke 10).Entrusted women as first witnesses of His resurrection (Matt 28, John 20).These women, freed from shame, became deeply devoted, bold partners in His mission.Celebrating Women in Our Church Family – Echoes of Biblical Strength:Mary of Bethany (Matt 26): Extravagant worshippers, pouring out your most valuable for Jesus. Like her, Radiant women, you've done beautiful things for Him.Miriam (Exodus 15): Leading in worship, singing songs of deliverance, reminding us God brings us to dry land.Esther (Esther 4:16): Courageous, sticking your necks out for others' freedom and safety, saying "If I perish, I perish."Ruth (Ruth 1:16-17): Faithful, loyal, obedient, choosing right relationship over comfort, loving for the long haul: "Where you go, I will go."Widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17): Hospitality in scarcity, giving generously from little, trusting God's miraculous provision.Lydia (Acts 16): Businesswomen and those with abundance, leveraging success and resources for God's Kingdom.Hannah (1 Sam 1:27-28): Prayer warriors, contending earnestly, prevailing on God, and lending your answered prayers back to Him.Mary at Lazarus' Tomb (John 11:28-35): Raw faith in grief, falling at Jesus' feet, finding Him as the God who weeps with us & brings comfort.Deborah (Judges 4-5): Strong leaders with prophetic wisdom, inspiring victory ("Up! For this is the day..."), and partnering beautifully, calling men and women higher in God.Conclusion: Radiant women, for 20 years (and all women of faith), you've chosen the better thing. You've poured out love in extravagant worship, not counting the cost. You've taken courageous steps, chosen faithfulness, given generously, contended in prayer, wept honest tears at Jesus' feet while believing Him even in the dark, and led with wisdom. Because of this, we've seen Him. Thank you for being lovers of God and spiritual mothers. Proverbs 31: not competition, but a celebration of a woman's lifelong fruit. God counts & celebrates all you do.Call to Action: Let's continue this journey of faith: loving God and living for Him. Men, actively honor and celebrate the women in your lives. Women, keep arising, using your God-given gifts to call us higher. Let's embrace the future, partnering for the Gospel. God is worthy of it all! Your words shape your world. In this episode, Daron unpacks how affirmation—of both yourself and others—is a foundational act of love, leadership, and transformation. Key Takeaways: – Affirmation means declaring truth—what is factual, faithful, and future-focused. – If you can't affirm yourself, it's nearly impossible to affirm others well. – The words you speak create life or death—choose them with purpose. – Self-affirmation starts with compassion: you don't need to be perfect to be progressing. – A 10–15 second affirmation can imprint more powerfully than a quick compliment. – Love languages are more than words—affirm through action too. Quotes: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” — Proverbs 18 “Better than a thousand hollow words is one word that brings peace.” — Buddha “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.” — Mother Teresa “Feelings are great companions, but terrible leaders.” “Think baseball stats, not basketball—progress over perfection.”

It's Tuesday, March 11th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Supreme Court takes case of Christian counselor vs. transgenderism The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a Colorado case of a counselor who has been cited for counseling clients under 18 about a Biblically sound position on homosexuality and transgenderism. Alliance Defending Freedom will argue that the Colorado law violates counselor Kaley Chiles' freedom of speech. Colorado law currently allows counseling conversations that aim to steer young people towards transgenderism, but prohibits conversations that aim to help them to remain content with their God-given gender. Thus far, 26 out of 50 U.S. states have endorsed body-mutilating surgeries for children between the ages of 13 and 17. Thousand citizens and militants killed by Syrian government France 24 reports as many as a thousand citizens and militants have been killed by supporters of the new Syrian government over the last few days. Execution style murders are being conducted in the Alawite State of Northwest Syria, and some of the victims are Christians. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa denounced the violence. Al-SHARAA (through a translator): “Anyone who commits violence against civilians will be held accountable. It is our duty to protect our compatriots.” Menacing warships from Russia, China, and Iran Eastern nations are forming closer military and political alliances as warships from Russia, China, and Iran initiated joint exercises on Monday in the Gulf of Oman. This is the fifth such drill since 2019. Dutch reject one true God, turning to false Muslim god Religious faith is declining in the Netherlands. A recent survey found only 13% of the Dutch consider themselves Protestant, and only 4% attend Protestant churches. That compares to 6% of the Dutch aligned with the Muslim religion. The study discovered that Protestants are losing adherents by a rate of 3% every decade, while the Muslims are increasing by a rate of 1% every ten years. Swiss Evangelicals drop from 34% to 3% Another survey conducted in Switzerland found only 3% of the population attend an Evangelical church. And the Evangelical population has dropped off to 19.5% of the population, down from 34% in the year 2000. Over the same period of time, the Muslim population increased from 3.6% to 6.0%. The rate of Protestants leaving the Swiss churches has topped 1.6% per year. Catholics are leaving the church at the rate of 1.2% per year. The warning from Romans 11:20 to be humble is appropriate for the Gentile nations: “Because of unbelief [the branches] were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.” Wyoming Gov. cuts property tax 25% and bans transgender nonsense Wyoming Republican Governor Mark Gordon signed several bills mirroring the Trump agenda over the last week. He signed a bill cutting property tax by 25%, and another bill banning government programs which favor or disfavor people on the basis of religion, race, or sex. John MacArthur: “I'm on my last lap.” Pastor John MacArthur appeared on video at his Shepherd's Conference last week. The 85-year-old pastor of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California and the voice of the Grace to You radio ministry has undergone three heart surgeries and lung surgery over the last several months. He noted that he's slowly recovering strength after the ordeal. He closed his address with these words. MacARTHUR: “I realize I'm on the last lap. That takes on a new meaning when you know you're on the short end of the candle. But I am all thanks and praise to God for everything He's allowed me to be a part of and everything He's accomplished by His Word in these years of ministry. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord, Jesus Christ.” MovieGuide affirmed best pro-family movies and actors The 2025 pro-family MovieGuide annual awards were announced last week. The most inspiring movie award went to the Catholic story of “Cabrini.” The film “Reagan” on the life of the U.S. president, received the Faith and Freedom award. The most inspiring performance of an actress went to Candace Cameron Bure, for her role in “A Christmas Less Travelled” on the Great American Family Network. And the most inspiring performance for an actor was awarded to Jesse Hutch for his role in “Christmas Under the Northern Lights.” Bitcoin down, Gold up Bitcoin has lost 22% of its value in the last month. Gold is up 4%, now hovering around $2,900 and change per ounce. The U.S. trade deficit has spiked 100% year-over-year in January, hitting a record $155 billion — which would amount to almost a $2 trillion annual deficit. Exercise helps sleep And finally, it turns out that exercise is helpful for sleeping. That's the conclusion arrived at by researchers studying a group of 2,170 people ages 60 and older. Muscle training such as lifting weights and doing pushups improved sleep scores by 5.75 points and aerobic exercise improved sleep scores by 3.76 points. 1 Timothy 4:8 reminds us that “while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, March 11th, in the year of our Lord 2025. The Federal Circuit’s first Chief Judge, the Honorable Howard T. Markey, announced, “In our Court there will be an opinion explaining enough to tell you what the law is in every case.” He added, “We do not just render a one-worded decision and go away.” In recent years, however, the Federal Circuit has routinely issued one-word “judgment[s] of affirmance without opinion” under Federal Circuit Rule 36(a), saying only “AFFIRMED” rather than issuing an opinion. Is this practice lawful? Do the benefits of Rule 36’s benefits outweigh its costs? Join this FedSoc Forum for a lively debate on these questions.
