The main reason the pod was out there was to ride some of the best rollercoasters around at Busch Gardens, shout out to @boomcoasters. Sam and Bert aren't the biggest fans of roller-coasters so what better way to kick off the day than riding the main attraction the Iron Gwazi. It was definitely a ride to remember. Have y'all overcame caring about others opinions of you? or working on it? never had to? We were feeling real Piggly Wiggly this episode. Y'all know the drill Roll up, Po' up, and Tune Into Where's My Lighter Podcast.
Loved every ride we went on. These were my favorites in order: 1. Gwazi 2. Shiekra 3. Falcons fury 4. Cobras Curse 5. Montu 6. Kumba 7. Cheetah hunt 8. Carousel 9. Congo River First time on a sibling trip First time using a fast past First time going to a beach resort First time watching the sunset and sunrise from the beach It was a spectacular moment when I was watching the sunset and other people were too and it was just beautiful to see so many people around me breath taken by the sun. Us all just admiring it together in silent reverence gave me a glimpse of what heaven will look like

Ohio – particularly Cleveland – is central to the story of rock music. Blues-rock, folk-rock, heavy metal thunder, whacked-out experimental stuff made by idiosyncratic creators following wild whims: Ohio musical history has all of it. It’s a home of the uncooperative, the rebellious, the irrepressibly energetic, and the torchbearers of rock’s tradition of recalcitrance and marvelous mischief. John “Charlie” Templeman of Jib Machine Records knows all about that tradition because he’s a part of it. He’s become one of the most recognizable faces in the Cleveland underground – a label owner who cares deeply about the musicians on his roster and the future of music, both live and recorded, in Ohio and beyond. He’s a champion of the underdog and a friend to dreamers and rockers of all kinds, a guardian of a safe harbor for misfits. Through Jib Machine, he’s raising an entire region’s profile, calling attention to a corner of the country loaded with talent, but, too often, overlooked by the tastemakers on the coasts. Since its inception in 2004, Jib Machine has released more than sixty records, many of which were made by unforgettable Cleveland characters. Templeman and Jib Machine have kept their ears to the clubs and done their best to boost contemporary Ohio rock’s signal. But they’ve never forgotten their roots or the roots of the local sound, and they’ve reissued music by area legends and assisted the re-formation of beloved, fondly remembered groups. Slammin’ Gladys, for instance, brought their distinctive amalgam of hard rock, funk, blues, and glam-metal out of a decades-long hibernation to cut a new album for Jib Machine. It’s doubtful that anybody but Templeman could have turned that trick. Hostile Omish, one of the longest-running and most respected bands in Cleveland punk, have made Jib Machine their home for fifteen years. And whether solo, with his guitar army or the Blindside Blues Band, electrifying guitarist Michael Onesko delivers his style of protean blues to the label. These artists possess a quality that Templeman loves: audacity. It’s a common thread that runs straight through the Jib Machine roster, present in the forthright songs of local legend Eli “Guitarman” Fletcher, the outspoken political punk and molten metal of Gwazi, the bedrock gospel of Philomena Gales, the adventurous, hallucinatory psychedelia of Sweden’s Mouth Of Clay (Jib’s first European artist), the relentless, funky, thoroughly unclassifiable Hot Ham & Cheese, and many other artists who proudly fly the Jib Machine banner. None of this music is shy – it’s bold sounds made for bold listeners – Ohioans and the many millions of rockers worldwide who are Ohioans at heart. As Templeman continues to expand Jib Machine’s reach, he has shaken hands with like-minded independent ventures: Jib Machine distributes records by Akarma, Shroom Angel, DSI and other imprints. He’s also the founder of 13 Recordings, a production operation that specializes in sonic ferocity. Some of the Jib Machine catalog’s best-known titles were cut by 13 Recordings, but others availed themselves of the local resource, too. And that’s Templeman, and Jib Machine: always ready to help boost area music, always on the lookout for ways to amplify the voices of his artists, steadily supplying the world with some genuine heartland electricity. A historic roster is listed below… Active Roster Hot Ham & Cheese (on label since 2005) Hostile Omish (on label since 2006) Eli “Guitarman” Fletcher (on label since 2012) Gwazi (on label since 2015) Brad Demiter (on label since 2015) Dennis Baker (on label since 2016) 9E$V$ (on label since 2016) Philomena Gales (on label since 2016) Mike Onesko (BLU-K, The Kwik, Blindside Blues Band, Guitar Army…on label since 2017) Dave Brooks (on label since 2018) Slammin’ Gladys (on label since 2018) Dizzy Dizzy MK II (on label since 2019) David Curtis Band (on label since 2019) Mouth of Clay (on label since 2020) Darkening Skies (on label since 2020) Jib Alumni Johnny Mohawk and the Assassins (signed in 2005 but now defunct) “Slowhand” Jack Labgold (signed 2010; passed away in 2015) 7th Day Creeps (signed 2010 but now defunct) Pat Zelenka (long-time friend of Jib… he’s currently signed to Red Ridge Entertainment out of Nashville) Side projects that have releases The Drug Fux Poor Ass Leon J TEMP 13 Pontius Pilot Alcoholic Spok

Ride This One is back bitches! After a long holiday season where Slater decided he was going to participate in the Wall-E Lifestyle we are back. The theme park community is in shock when they found out Kings Dominion's 20 year old Volcano the blast coaster was getting put to an early grave. What's going in its place? No idea, but slater thinks it's a 500' coaster that goes down into a ravine and has a splashdown effect. Slater looks like a genius when he shows off his knowledge of Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s 315’ star flyer. Along with more I told you so’s where he talks about Busch Gardens Tampa’s Gwazi being currently under construction. Is it possible that Gwazi will be taller than Cedar Point’s Steel Vengeance? The first beyond vertical drop on a RMC Hybrid Coaster? It’s quite possible we shall see. We also discuss how Disney’s new Star Wars Rise of the Resistance might be able to take the place of Ellen’s Energy Adventure for a place to take a nap, since the ride will be 40 minutes long, 40 minutes to get busy in a galaxy long long ago and far far away. We learn that Six Flags Magic Mountain’s West Coast Racer is delayed to a bunch of bitchy home owners who are worried about noise. Why would you build a house next to a theme park when you are worried about it being too noisy? Silver Dollar City is rumored to have a new plan in place to fully remove fire in the hole, and possibly being moved to firefighter’s landing. These are just a few things that you will here on this week’s episode of Ride This One Podcast. _________________________ Website - www.RideThisOne.com Call or Text the show! 26-RIDE-THIS (267) 433-8447 Follow The Show! Tim Wilson FINALLY gets his ride on Ride This One. As the Co-Host of The Civil Gore Podcast, Tim is usually drooling over horror films and bad movie franchises rather than roller coasters. We just had to bring him on the show to emasculate him about his tiny coaster count. We also felt pretty guilty, since The Wilson Brothers have been producing sketches for us ever since we locked them down in the basement. Its only fair that Tim get his turn since Kevin has been on the show like a million times. Come get your Crab Fries ladies and gentlemen, this is going to be one crazy dulcet toned filled adventure.
