Le court-métrage d'animation « SNORRI 4D - Catch Me If You Candy » vient d'être récompensé au Giffoni Film Festival, consacré à la jeunesse. Cette création met en scène les aventures de la pieuvre Snorri, mascotte du parc aquatique Rulantica. Ce court-métrage en 4D est à découvrir au Magic Cinéma d'Europa Park. A noter, le parc d'attractions sera ouvert jusqu'à minuit le samedi 22 août prochain. D'autres nocturnes sont aussi proposées à Rulantica ce vendredi et samedi. Un sondage pour renforcer les mobilités douces. L'association Poupipou, basée à Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, souhaite recueillir des avis dans le cadre de son futur projet adapté aux trajets en côtes. By Doug Green “It was an ecosystem experience that I hadn't seen in a while.” CloudFest Americas is returning to Miami with a broader mission: bring together the cloud, hosting, domain, MSP and corporate IT communities in one place—and make the experience feel less like a conventional trade show and more like a working industry festival. In this Technology Reseller News podcast, recorded at GTIA ChannelCon 2026, Anthony Pombal of CloudFest and Mark Crall of MSP Global preview CloudFest Americas, scheduled for November 11–12 at Ice Palace Studios in Miami. The event is expected to attract approximately 2,000 attendees from North America and Latin America. CloudFest Americas is derived from the long-running CloudFest event held at Europa-Park in Germany. Its audience includes cloud service providers, web agencies, hosting companies, MSPs, MSSPs, software and hardware vendors, corporate IT teams and other organizations looking for alternatives to the largest hyperscale platforms. Pombal says the event is particularly relevant for companies seeking new products, services, partners and routes to market. Exhibitors can reach what he describes as the alternative cloud service provider market, along with web developers, hosting providers, managed service providers and businesses evaluating new infrastructure and software options. The event is also co-located with NamesCon, creating a point of convergence between the cloud, hosting and domain-name communities. That overlap reflects a broader shift in the market as MSPs, hosting companies and cloud providers increasingly compete, partner and build services across what were once separate technology categories. Crall says his experience at MSP Global in Barcelona demonstrated the value of bringing those communities together in a vendor-agnostic setting. Rather than focusing only on product pitches, the event combined technology education, thought leadership, lessons from industry practitioners and informal community building. “To see that happen in an agnostic environment and actually learn something at the same time while having fun is kind of cool,” Crall says. CloudFest Americas is designed around that same model. In addition to its exhibit floor and conference content, the Miami event will include a server-throwing competition, a domain auction, giveaways and locally inspired activities in the Wynwood arts district, including a live mural created by a graffiti artist. The program will also feature forward-looking content and smaller community discussions. A new area called the Florida Room is planned as a birds-of-a-feather-style forum where groups can exchange ideas, discuss operating challenges and share practical lessons without turning every session into a sales presentation. For technology resellers and MSPs, the event offers an opportunity to look beyond familiar vendor ecosystems. The convergence of cloud infrastructure, managed services, cybersecurity, software, hosting and domain technologies is creating new partnership and recurring-revenue possibilities for channel companies willing to explore adjacent markets. L'Alsace touchée par la canicule. Les fortes chaleurs des derniers jours ont conduit à de nombreux chamboulements. Premier événement concerné : la fête de la musique. Entre horaires aménagés et annulations, la manifestation s'est déroulée avec un goût amer cette année. Dans le Bas-Rhin, l'interdiction de la consommation d'alcool sur la voie publique et dans les terrasses, puis l'annulation de ce même arrêté uniquement au sujet des terrasses hier à partir de 19h, a aussi suscité de nombreuses réactions. Autre interdiction dans le Bas-Rhin, la tenue d'événements sportifs. Il en était de même pour deux manifestations de la sorte dans le Haut-Rhin. Pour faire face à cette canicule qui va encore durer, de nombreux établissements scolaires de la région ont fait le choix d'adapter leurs horaires. Les horaires de la base nautique Colmar-Houssen ont eux été exceptionnellement élargis. Aujourd'hui et demain, le site restera accessible jusqu'à 22h. De leur côté, les services d'urgence se trouvent saturés, notamment pour des malaises et des douleurs thoraciques. Les sapeurs-pompiers ont aussi été sollicités à de nombreuses reprises à la suite d'ouvertures volontaires de bornes à incendie. Les sapeurs-pompiers ont aussi dû intervenir ce week-end à la suite d'un incendie à l'hôtel-spa Le Velleda, situé à Grandfontaine. D'importants dégâts ont été causés, alors que l'établissement 3 étoiles affichait complet. 70 pompiers ont été mobilisés et aucun blessé n'est à déplorer. Pour une raison encore inconnue, l'incendie serait parti d'un bloc de climatisation fixé à un mur extérieur. Le lancement des travaux du futur parking en ouvrage à proximité de la gare de Sélestat approche ! Le chantier débutera lundi prochain sur l'actuel parking du Heyden, situé côté Ouest. Des perturbations sont donc à prévoir. Pour limiter la gêne occasionnée, la Ville mettra à disposition le parking sur le site SNCF Fret. A l'issue des travaux qui devraient s'achever en avril 2027, 609 places de stationnement seront proposées au public. Le coût total du chantier est de 5 millions d'euros. A Rust en Allemagne, devant le parc d'attractions Europa Park, la cité western “Silver lake City” s'agrandit en lançant son nouvel hôtel “Riverside Western Lodge”. D'une capacité de 119 chambres et 532 lits, les vacanciers pourront s'y reposer, en profitant de cette ville dépaysante. Roland Mack, membre fondateur d'Europa Park, apporte plus de précisions. A Strasbourg, la vente et la consommation de protoxyde d'azote détournées à des fins récréatives sont désormais interdites. L'arrêté municipal est entré en vigueur hier. La ville justifie cette mesure par l'augmentation de la consommation du gaz hilarant et ses conséquences sur la santé. Plus de 13 000 bonbonnes ont été ramassées dans l'espace public en 2025, pour un coût estimé à près de 100 000€ par an. Une campagne de prévention doit également être lancée auprès du grand public et des jeunes. Selon Santé publique France, 14 % des 18-24 ans ont déjà expérimenté l'inhalation de protoxyde d'azote. Dans la Vallée de la Bruche, le festival Jazz'n Bruche doit composer avec une mauvaise surprise. A quelques semaines de son ouverture, prévue du 7 au 18 juillet, les organisateurs ont appris la suppression de la subvention de l'Etat accordée jusqu'ici via la DRAC. Une perte de 8000€, soit environ 10% du budget du festival. Malgré cela, l'association Indigo Moonshine a choisi de maintenir l'intégralité de sa programmation. Pour équilibrer ses comptes, elle compte sur le soutien accru des collectivités locales et sur la billetterie. Dans le Haut-Rhin, deux jeunes entrepreneurs s'engagent pour la planète. Marylin Ajoure-Apourou, créatrice de la marque Atelier Coeur Tisse, et Léo Guilbert, producteur et DJ, lancent une collection de 200 t-shirts numérotés en édition limitée. Fabriqués en coton bio et matériaux recyclés, ces vêtements mêlent mode et musique électronique autour d'un message en faveur des forêts. For Frederic Pastuszak it was a small interaction with Roland Mack that has lead to, some years later, to a huge attraction: Arthur and the Minimoys. As an architect Frederic can fulfill his own creative ideas and bring them to life.

Anfang Juli 2025 wird im Klagenfurter Europapark die Leiche eines neugeborenen Buben entdeckt – eingewickelt in ein Handtuch, versteckt in einer Tasche im Gebüsch. Die Gerichtsmedizin kann weder die Todesursache zweifelsfrei klären noch feststellen, ob das Kind lebend zur Welt kam. Trotz umfangreicher Ermittlungen, Zeugenaufrufen, Phantombildern und dem Einsatz eines forensischen Entomologen bleiben die Eltern bis heute unbekannt. Die am Handtuch gefundene DNA der mutmaßlichen Mutter ergab keinen Treffer in der Datenbank. Die Episode beleuchtet auch den breiteren Kontext solcher Fälle: Kindstötungen oder das Aussetzen von Neugeborenen geschehen häufig in extremen psychischen Ausnahmesituationen – begleitet von Angst, Scham, Überforderung oder sozialer Not. Dabei gibt es in Österreich konkrete Hilfsangebote: von der anonymen Geburt im Krankenhaus bis zur Babyklappe. Diese Möglichkeiten sollen Frauen in verzweifelten Situationen einen sicheren und legalen Ausweg bieten – ohne dass ihre Identität bekannt wird. Manuela Kalser hat den Fall für die Kleine Zeitung recherchiert und spricht in dieser Ausgabe von delikt mit Host David Knes über die Hintergründe, ähnliche Fälle, die psychischen Ausnahmesituationen hinter solchen Taten und über bestehende Hilfsangebote. Hilfsangebote für Mütter und Familien:  Seit 2001 gibt es in Österreich die Möglichkeit der anonymen Geburt. Die Frauen werden im Krankenhaus medizinisch und psychologisch betreut, müssen aber keine Namen und Daten angeben. In Kärnten ist die anonyme Geburt in allen Krankenhäusern möglich. Der diesbezügliche Kontakt zum Klinikum Klagenfurt ist hier möglich: anonymegeburt@kabeg.at. Nach der Geburt übernimmt vorerst der Kinder- und Jugendhilfeträger die Obsorge für das Kind. Die Mutter hat nach der Geburt sechs Monate Zeit, sich zu melden, falls sie die Freigabe zur Adoption rückgängig machen möchte. Bleibt die Mutter anonym, wird die Adoption rechtskräftig. Die Babyklappe (Babynest) ermöglicht Müttern in Ausnahmesituationen, ihr Baby straffrei abzugeben. Eine Übersicht, wo sich Babyklappen befinden, findet man unter www.gesundheit.gv.at. Schon früh entwickelte Julia eine Leidenschaft für die Hotellerie, denn wurde ins Elztalhotel im Südschwarzwald hineingeboren. Das Familienhotel entwickelte sich stets weiter und Julia wollte dem nicht nachstehen. Sie absolvierte eine Ausbildung zur Restaurantfachfrau mit Zusatzqualifikation Küchen- und Servicemanagement im legendären Hotel Bareiss. Nur vier Kilometer weiter fand ihre Karriere mit einer Ausbildung zur Köchin eine Erweiterung im Hotel Engel Obertal. 2017 wurde Julia Baden-Württembergische DEHOGA-Jugendmeisterin der Köche, dem sich die deutsche Meisterschaft sowie das Mannschafts-Gold für Baden-Württemberg anschloss. Zudem durfte die Südschwarzländerin eine von zweien Genussbotschafter ihres Bundeslandes sein. Nach Hotelstationen im Europa-Park sowie dem Parkhotel Jordanbad kehrte Julia Tischer zurück ins heimische Elztalhotel und hat dort nun ihre familiäre Berufung gefunden. Als Gastgeberin zeichnet sie sich durch ihr Engagement und Detailverliebtheit aus. Sie setzt zusammen mit ihren ca. 170 Mitarbeitern alles daran, den Gästen einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt zu bieten.
