Well, change is potentially on its way. Many of the world's biggest central banks are thinking about creating a way of bypassing commercial banks and enabling companies to do their banking directly with the central banks. How Benchly is Setting the Bar Howdy, Ags! Today, we have the director for business development at Benchly, Haydn Jones ‘17! In this episode, he shares how they leverage technology in the legal industry. We are thrilled to have Haydn on the show! Law Industry Technology Documents flood law offices, and without an organization system intact would mean trouble. Luckily, with technology, law firms can have that extra sense of organization for litigation documents. There is a lot of documentation going back and forth between the client and the opposing counsel's attorney. All kinds of briefs and motions filed to court pile up. With the tools they have at Benchly, Haydn says they can streamline that process for everyone involved. Through that, it would be beneficial for attorneys, their secretaries, and even paralegals, and the overall bottom line is that they positively impact that. What drew Haydn to the legal industry was back in his business class days. Taking law was at the back of Haydn's mind, but he eventually chose business over it. Seeing the intersection of his passions became a great career move for Haydn, who now enjoys his job at Benchly. About Haydn Jones: Sparked by a Business Law course during the pursuit of his Bachelor's degree at Texas A&M University, Haydn Jones' interest in the legal landscape found a diverse and demanding arena in which the talent pool possesses unique characteristics and practice areas. As Haydn was suddenly at the crossroads to either attend law school or continue on his planned track of diving into the entrepreneurial deep end, the logical next step was to find the intersection of the law and business. Through this search, he stumbled on the bustling vertical that is legal technology and has yet to look back since earning an early position with Benchly, Inc. As one of the few U.S. companies with a comprehensive case law database, Benchly possesses unique capabilities that other legal technology vendors rely on integrations or APIs to accomplish. This distinction has enabled the company to expand to reach all corners and coasts of the United States with further outreach on the horizon. Of course, the journey with Benchly has proved to be a formidable one that has allowed Haydn the opportunity to be immersed in both the legal and business worlds that he once dreamed of in Mosher Hall at Texas A&M. Welcome to this week's Digital Bytes where we cover the following articles: Are we to see two versions of digital intellectual property - an NFT and a DDC? - as the Year of the Tiger roars in, it could be a big year for blockchain and Digital Assets in China. With China launching its digital Yuan (CBDC) and announcing that it is to officially back a new breed of NFT-style digital assets (called DDCs) using a blockchain-powered platform, will we see two versions of non- fungible Digital Assets being created? After two years of the COVID-19 pandemic and two decades of economic, political and social crisis, is crypto the ‘shot in the arm' the West needs? - in part one of this essay we discuss how increasing digitality has coincided with a relative decline in US and Western hegemony, and how the tools that made democracies successful in the 20th Century appear to be undermining them in the 21st Century as the authoritarian regimes they compete with appear on the ascendancy. Digital wallets for Digital Assets are on their way - whilst digital wallets from the likes of PayPal and Apple have been around for years, we are seeing a growing demand and, indeed, need for digital wallets to enable one to transact with Digital Assets. The Chinese currently have over 260 million people holding a digital wallet that enables them to use the Chinese digital Yuan, and this number is set to grow as the Chinese CBDC is positioned to be officially launched at the 2022 winter Olympics. Where is crypto going? - crypto has been around for over ten years but is it still just Bitcoin, or is there a bigger strategic opportunity here and what's missing in terms of making that happen? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jtylee/message

Your support allows me to continue to do the work that supports you, and the dreams of your child, or even your own dreams. Thank you! Some of my favorite quotes from our conversation: “A commercial agent is always trying to piece together someone else’s vision board.” “This industry grows a youth actor to be ready for many, many aspects and challenges of life.” “Even when you start kids really young, it’s still a great experience.” “Acting is behavioral training, it’s a cognitive training, it’s a self-esteem builder.” “A commercial audition is the biggest room of play. You get to be yourself in front of other people.” “Auditions are our Olympics.” “My age categories, and what I’m looking for, changes daily.” “There’s never a bad time for me to look for potential new clients. Commercials are year-round.” “Commercial is the stepping-stone into the Theatrical world.” “Be open to the commercials, because that can begin everything for an actor’s career.” “Being an actor is a job. It takes a certain discipline. It’s not for everyone, and that’s OK.” On the COVID-19 shutdown: “Keep up with your special skills. You should still be practicing every skill in your arsenal.” “Staying creative is what’s important. It doesn’t have to be memorizing a Shakespearean monologue every day.” “If you want to write and create your own story, now is the time!” “Show off your dance moves, recite your poems, and tell your stories.” “Get really, really good at self-taping. If this is the new normal, then a lot of the auditions will be remote.” Follow Haydn Jones HERE: Instagram: @TRIFIREFLY25
