Hologram technology is becoming more popular as pop star fans can now see their favorite deceased celebrities appear on stage as if they were really there. However, is this technology being used for darker purposes? During a thunderstorm, a reported “Hologram Man” appeared in the clouds. Is this real? Is it evidence of Project Blue Beam? Was it created using AI? There have also been reports of St. Elmo's fire sightings, along with unusual plasma activity in our skies. In other news, a mysterious, golden egg was found on the seafloor of Alaska, and a former Navy pilot claimed that an alien nicknamed J-Rod worked at Area 51. Vigilante “blade runners” have been secretly destroying security cameras in Europe that are allegedly targeting the middle and lower classes that can't afford electric cars. In tech news, new policies are being put in place for AI-generated art. Join Ben and Rob from Edge of Wonder on this Friday Night Live as they dive deeper into these topics, plus the weekly Mandela Effect and the Metaphysical Minute. Don't miss the Rise.TV-exclusive segments, the Live Q&A and the Top 10 Weirder News of the Week featuring a bizarre dish that should be impossible to grill, a man calling the police on himself, and orbs flying over Washington D.C.

Enjoy a selection of extra content from last month covering the full range of human experience, such as fireman butts, RRR, Star Trek, and retroplating. A SMALL DESCRIPTION OF EPISODES PULLED FROM: (Ep. 239) Post-show. Tim shares a few more english composition notes for our reviewer. Jaffe clarifies a joke Tim made about True Detective season 4. Tim and Brandon discuss Persona in light of the Demonschool trailer. Somewhere out there is a guy who would strongly prefer Alex Kidd Party over Mario Party. Special Guest Allegra Frank saw a firefighter's butt once. (Ep. 242) Post-show (warning: Brandon's audio is a little choppy in parts, but still listenable). Hardware | Hologram Man - Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! I choose the movies this week, and we take a look at a couple lesser-known science fiction flicks from the 1990's. In this episode, we roast through Hardware and Hologram Man. You'll hear us choose obscure weapons for our personal killbots, we talk
In this episode, we talk about rebranding overtime shifts as a "megacycle," a billionaire who is stepping down (but not really), and the 1995 movie "Hologram Man."
A criminal mind in an indestructible body... This week, we travel to the wacky future promised to us by direct-to-video sci-fi movies. The year, we guess, is probably around 2015 and Los Angeles is now under a dome and the control of the evil Cal Corp and there's only one man that can stop them: Slash Gallagher, who is actually the villain in this movie. Join us as we discuss Hologram Man, the movie that pulls all the best parts from far-better sci-fi films of the era to give us an undeniably silly, cheesy, but ultimately fun time. So if you like Demolition Man, Viruosity, The Lawnmower Man, The Net, or any other mid-90s movie about hacking or cyberspace, then maybe you'll like this movie. We discuss everything from our two leads' hair, the wasted performances of John Amos and Tiny Lister, and of course, we discuss what it's like to make love to a hologram. T-Force (1994) is a delightfully silly low budget action film from the masterminds at PM Entertainment, makers of Hologram Man. RoboCops are decommissioned but that goes against their survival protocol, so they rebel. Also, they learn to love… physically. Lots of other things (besides their robopassion) explode all over the screen. In the second half […]

So instead Sam and Justin discuss drinking children, seagulls, #goatpocalypse, Neil Breen's Twister Pair trailer, a new Great Superpower Debate, reviews of Transformations, Hologram Man, WuTang vs Ninja, and Sam invents a drunk game called "Who is THE GUY?"
American Cyborg Steel Warrior (1993) is a silly title for this very late stage Cannon Films effort that features a lady, a cyborg, the star of Hologram Man and a fetus in a jar. They’re all going from one side of Charleston, SC to the other, for varying reasons. Along the way bullets fly and […]

Hologram Man (1995) is the tale of a criminal mastermind who is converted into a hologram, locked up in hologram prison, who then escapes. The only man who can track him down is the man who put him there: a cop named Decoda. This PM Entertainment joint is willing to sacrifice the lives of many […]

Longtime Failure to Launch listeners will be familiar with the work of Joe Lara, either as Tarzan in Tarzan in Manhattan or DJ Matt in Danger Island. You’ll also be aware of our undying affection for the man, and his superb list of b-movie credits on IMDB: STEEL FRONTIER. HOLOGRAM MAN. FINAL EQUINOX. VERY MEAN MEN. Despite the fact that these are films, not TV pilots, we at Failure to Launch could not leave these glorious titles unexamined. So, over this Australian summer, we’re submersing ourselves in the waters of Joe Lara’s oeuvre (which, turns out, is full of cyborgs.) First cab off the rank is American Cyborg: Steel Warrior, a post-apocalyptic tale in which Joe, The Man With No Name Who’s Name Is Austin, must save a young woman and her very-dead-looking-fetus-in-a-tube from a killer cyborg with a killer moustache. It’s everything you’d hope it to be; cheap, ambitious, produced by the guys who did Superman IV and Over The Top (the Stallone film about arm wrestling), and it has Joe Lara! Get listening.
