What are we supposed to do for the next 12 hours before the Knicks/Sixers game? Boomer loves the intensity the Knicks have played with all season. Gio predicts the Knicks 111-95. Boomer said he just touched the money. Gio is not worried at all. Gio is writing down predictions for tonight's game. Jerry Cahill from the Boomer Esiason Foundation calls in to talk about the Five Borough Bike Tour. Boomer is disappointed that his daughter Sidney is a little light on donations. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Knicks/Sixers tonight. Boomer said he wouldn't even be nervous if it went to a game 7. Gio said, ‘Mr. Mo Mentum just changed his address'. Jerry went around the NBA last night. Charles Barkley told other media members to do their job and critique the players, not just the coaches. The Mets game ended with a controversial call at the plate as Pete Alonso was thrown out. It looked like the Cubs catcher was blocking the plate, which is no longer allowed. The Moment of The Day involves inseminating horses. In the final segment of the show, Pete Hoffman supposedly broke up a fight at Citi Field last night. Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney had a boxing match a few weeks ago and Garcia won. Yesterday it was revealed he was doing PEDs. Pete Hoffman comes into the studio to tell us about breaking up the fight. Fans were clapping and chanting his name after it all went down.
Hour 1 The Sixers organization is doing ‘loser things' according to Gio. They bought up over 2,000 tickets for tonight's game to hand out to fans as they don't want Knicks fans taking over the building. Gio is still very confident in the Knicks tonight. He expects huge things from Jalen Brunson and said it will be a ‘Josh Hart game'. The NBA admitted they missed a travel call on Tyrese Maxey during his 4-point play. Gio wonders why the NBA does this. Boomer is feeling this is going to a game 7. Evan & Tiki are headed down to Philly to go to the game. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Chris Russo having a hard time saying ‘hubalu'. Stephon Marbury was on Instagram talking up the Knicks. Jerry went around the NBA playoffs. Charles Barkley said the Lakers and Suns suck because of the players, not the coaches. The Mets game ended with a controversial out at home plate call. Alonso was out, but the catcher did block the plate. Carlos Mendoza was pissed. The Yankees beat the Orioles thanks to a HR by Oswaldo Cabrera. In the final segment of the hour, we should get news on the start date for Rangers/Hurricanes as soon as the Knicks series ends. Hour 2 Tonight the Knicks are in Philly and Gio is feeling this is going to be a big game for Josh Hart. He was ‘atrocious' in games 4 and 5, but Gio thinks he gets his groove back tonight. Jerry returns for an update and starts with audio of Evan & Tiki going to the game tonight in Philadelphia. We spent a lot of time talking about where they are sitting and how they are getting to and from. In the final segment of the hour, word is that Pete Hoffman broke up a fight at Citi Field last night. A caller said the last train out of Philly back to NY is just after midnight. Hour 3 Shaun Morash called in to talk about the Evan and Tiki Show going to the Knicks game tonight in Philadelphia. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from Gio being pumped to have the Vikings beat the Giants. He was wrong. He seems equally confident the Knicks are going to win tonight, so take that with a grain of salt as they say. Jerry went around the NBA playoffs last night. The Mets game ended on a controversial call at the plate last night. Pete Alonso was thrown out but there seemed to be catcher interference. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco talked about players spending everything they earn. Sharpe also talked about having to pay quarterly taxes. Jason Kelce said his wife said he has a ‘chicken ass'. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer wonders if both teams will score over 100 tonight. Booms is thinking maybe a defensive battle. We looked at some of the player props for Knicks/Sixers. A caller really needs our Kentucky Derby longshot today. He can't wait until tomorrow. We also talked about inseminating horses. Hour 4 What are we supposed to do for the next 12 hours before the Knicks/Sixers game? Boomer loves the intensity the Knicks have played with all season. Gio predicts the Knicks 111-95. Even though he deals with a number of other illnesses on top of CF, Brayden does not allow any of that to limit him. He plays sports, hikes, hunts, fishes, and loves being physically active in any way that is safe for his health. Tune in to learn more about Brayden. Jerry Cahill spoke with Dr. Kelsey Finn about her book, “Having Cystic Fibrosis is a lot like being a Super Hero,” which relays information about CF so that kids and parents have a launching pad for more serious conversations. Dr. Finn’s goal is to support parents and give them the resources that they need to empower and educate their kids. She believes that parents can empower kids to become responsible adults by talking to them about CF and educating them about why their CF care is important, fostering independence and responsibility, while keeping the line of communication open. The oldest of four kids, she had a sister pass away at the age of 29 due to unexpected complications of CF and is still close with the other two. While she lived a relatively normal life until she was 13, Lindsay faced her first double lung transplant when she was in her early 20s. To both of her donor families, Lindsay says, “Besides an immense thank you… Losing my sister, I know how they felt losing someone they loved. “I think that’s important for people in life – to help you move forward and be successful – is to be passionate.” Jerry Cahill was diagnosed at 10-years-old at a time when doctors told his parents that he most likely wouldn’t see his teenage years. Instead of treating him like he would break, his parents sent him out to play with his sibling – 4 brothers and a sister – as much as he could. From baseball to basketball to football, Jerry tried it all until he found his place in the cross country and pole vaulting worlds. As he got older, Jerry discovered that having passion for something and being comfortable with reinventing himself would lead to personal and professional success – with his health, his career, and his time as a pole vault athlete and coach. Tune in to learn more about Jerry and why he attributes his health and age to his ability to keep moving forward.
