anyone under the age of 16 and introducing new regulations around A.I. chatbots including a responsibility to direct people with suicidal ideation to places they can get help. With Australia's own ban struggling to take hold, and Canada's history of chickening out when tech companies push back, is this the answer people have been waiting for? No Big Deal. Nearly four months after promising the war would only take two weeks, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that one of his birthday presents was a deal to end the "skirmish" he started. With still 24 hours left to screw it up before the Friday self-induced deadline, we will talk about what we know about this still unknown (at press time) deal, and whether or not it means peace in our time or peace for short time. The Responsibility Sandwich. It was a busy week last week at city council with a divisive debate about securing more of the Niska property, a new charitable hub project with some big unknown unknowns and the long awaited renoviction bylaw and vacant home tax. To help us talk about how it all went down, and what comes next, is Ward 1 Councillor Erin Caton, who will also join us to talk about the "responsibility sandwich" when it comes to filling gaps in local shelter programs. Open Sources is live on CFRU 93.3 fm and cfru.ca at 5 pm on Thursday.

+ info - https://linktr.ee/b90podcast Espacio patrocinado por: Dani Go - Fran Cordero Cañas - Jose Manuel Valera - Barullo - Unai Elordui - JulMorGon - David Salamanca Sanz - Jaime Marchica Band - Sr.Jota - Theinvisibleband - jorge - Llorx Miller - Yago Llopis - boldano - estebansantosjuanesbosch - Vicent Martin - Matias Ruiz Molina - Próxima Estación Okinawa - Rosa Rivas - jvcliment - Jaume Solivelles - Javier Alcalde - jmgomez - Ana Isabel Miguélez Domínguez - Iñigo Albizu - Rachael - Naïa - Jaime Cruz Flórez - DOMINGO SANTABÁRBARA - faeminoandtired - Javi Portas - Belén Vaca - Ana FM - tueresgeorge - Eduardo Mayordomo Muñoz - Barrax de Pump - pdr_rmn - fernando - QUIROGEA Integrative Osteopath - J. What happens when constitutional rights exist on paper, but the government refuses to enforce them? In this episode of Advocacy Bites, hosts Renee Sekel and Susan Book take a deep dive into the growing tension between constitutional rights, separation of powers, and public education funding in North Carolina. Using the ongoing Leandro school funding case as a backdrop, they explore what it means when courts issue rulings that are ignored, delayed, or weakened by political actors—and what that means for students, families, and everyday citizens. Renee examines the constitutional questions at the heart of the Leandro litigation, including the role of the judiciary in protecting rights when legislatures fail to act. Susan connects those issues to the realities facing North Carolina's public schools, from teacher shortages and special education challenges to the broader consequences of chronic underfunding. Together, they discuss why elections, judicial races, and local advocacy matter more than ever in shaping the future of public education and civil rights. The conversation also touches on federal education policy, the importance of protecting vulnerable students, the impact of language and public discourse, and how advocates can continue pushing for meaningful change even in difficult political moments. If you care about public education, constitutional rights, school funding, education policy, civic engagement, advocacy, North Carolina politics, special education, judicial accountability, and democracy, this is an episode you won't want to miss. Topics Covered: The Leandro school funding case Constitutional rights and public education Separation of powers and judicial authority North Carolina Supreme Court decisions Teacher shortages and school funding Special education advocacy Civic engagement and voting State and federal education policy Protecting students' rights Everyday advocacy in action (1:29) - How NC Amendments Work (3:15) - Distraction and Turnout Tactics (6:06) - Locking Power in the Constitution (12:59) - Tax and Voter ID Changes (17:46) - Legislative Chaos and Burnout (19:12) - Andor Manifesto Inspiration (21:04) - Call to Action About Advocacy Bites: Hosted by Renee Sekel and Susan Book, Advocacy Bites explores what it means to be an everyday advocate and provides practical ways for listeners to get involved in issues affecting their communities, public education, and public policy.
The most expensive moments in your practice rarely feel expensive while they are happening.A missed confirmation call. An unscheduled treatment plan. A small patient concern brushed off as “no big deal.” But those ordinary moments are where patients disappear, production leaks, and trust gets won or lost.In Day 10 of The Flow Protocol, Dr. Dave breaks down high consequences and why emergencies sharpen attention while a normal Tuesday can drain patients, production, and profit. In this episode:Why your team locks in during an emergency but drifts through ordinary work. Why small misses rarely feel urgent until they become expensive. How making the stakes visible helps your team protect trust, retention, and momentum before the damage shows up.Press play on Day 10 and learn why one overlooked profit trigger is helping your team feel what is actually riding on normal day.

1062 - No Big Deal / No Biggie - English Tips in a Minute | Happy EnglishHey there! It's Michael here - and welcome back to English Tips in a Minute from Happy English. Today, let's look at two really common conversational responses - “no big deal” and “no biggie.”We use no big deal or no biggie to mean “it's not a problem” or “don't worry about it.” They're casual, friendly ways to respond when someone apologizes or thanks you.For example, imagine your friend says: “Sorry I'm a little late.” You could reply: “No big deal.”Or maybe a coworker says: “Thanks for helping me with that report.” You can say: “No biggie!”We also use these phrases when something small goes wrong: “Oops, I spilled a little coffee.” “Oh, no big deal.”No biggie sounds a little more casual and playful, while no big deal is a bit more common for everyday situations.Lemme know in the comments which one you'd use, and remember to follow or subscribe so you don't miss the next Happy English Podcast and next week's English Tips in a Minute.Hey, thanks for listening — and until next time, keep learning and keep it cool. The Happy English PodcastHelping people speak English better since 2014Over 1,000 episodes • 8 million downloads

Mankind has been chipping away at the commandments from the very day God Himself carved them onto stone tablets and presented them to Moses. And the results are obvious. Among a growing number of professed-Christians they're often regarded as antiquated relics of the past. It's tempting to look at them as no big deal. But Jesus reminds us that they are a big deal. And that's what makes what our Savior has done for us in love such a very big deal, indeed!

In today's solocast, I explore one of my favorite mental training mantras: “No big deal.”We look at how quickly we label experiences as good or bad, and how those judgments (often made without the full story) can quietly hijack our nervous system, emotions, and performance. Using a classic Zen parable alongside examples from sport, I unpack how unexamined thoughts start to feel like reality, and what happens when we learn to loosen our grip on them.We also examine how “no big deal” isn't about dismissing your experience, but about creating space to feel what you feel, unhook from unproductive thinking, and re-orient toward your values and intentions so you can stay present and perform what's actually in front of you.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Learn more about The Mental Training LabConnect with Pete on Instagram | LinkedIn | WebsiteSubscribe to the podcast on Apple | Spotify This show is produced and edited by the team at Palm Tree Pod Co.
