The Alliance of Nations or A O N, the New Republics and Trinity. While small border skirmishes were common, no group wished to start an all out war. Partially because they could lose, but mostly because it wouldn't be profitable. The current year is 2097 and you are aboard the Underwater Expanse Ship or U.E.S. Note: the recording for today's episode features a bit of static interference, especially during the second idea. We sincerely apologize about this - it was an unavoidable technical problem due to recording remotely - and hope to have this matter resolved for all future episodes. Taking Initiative mastermind Josh Perrault returns to No Bad Ideas for two more tales of walks in the woods, creatures of the night, and glaring typos! In the first of our bad ideas today, Sarah brings us the tale of a man who goes on a harrowing - yet somehow wholesome - walk in the woods. The team turns it into a story of a man who discovers a wide network of monsters and other beings who go bump in the night. Then, Gabriel brings us the story of a man who tried to fake his own death but was brought down by his own typographical errors. The team tries to figure out how to turn this into the tale of a man looking for a way to cheat a very specific death, no matter the cost. All of that, plus: press conferences, vampires, selkies, car crashes, and a gigantic cargo of fish. Today’s Bad Ideas™: Idea #1 Idea #2 If you’d like to hear more of Josh, you should listen to Taking Initiative and visit their Patreon and Twitter! You can also find Josh on Instagram. We are down one NBI host today, but never fear! We recruited one of our most favorite people in podcasting to step into the breach: a veteran of both the dungeons and the dragons, Taking Initiative’s Josh Perault is back for more! And boy, do we have more. We begin the episode with an idea that has it all: rookie detectives, poisoning plots, witchcraft, heartbreak, and… trees? The boys take this bizarre piece of Austin, TX lore and turn it into an affirming fable about learning to love the cycles of life. Then, Zach brings us a foreboding tale of automation meets childcare, and the guys concoct a sinister thriller that phases out parenthood. Plus: the root of feeling, the knowledge of love and evil, a Sarah Connor situation, a low-key action sequence, and the Whomping Willow Gone Wild. A rag-tag team of heroes face off against Jarlaxle and his Bregan D'aerthe followers as he rushes to escape Waterdeep after securing the three keys. Staring Celeste Conowitch, Holly Conrad, Matthew Lillard, Josh Perault, Lauren Urban and DM Aram Vartian. Here's a brief recap of what's happened so far: A huge hoard of gold dragon coins was hidden in a vault somewhere in the city and every powerful figure in Waterdeep is trying to get it first. The Vault was discovered under Baubles and Such, a storefront by the Moonsphere near the Dancing Court, but before adventurers representing The Open Lord of Waterdeep, Laeral Silverhand could open it, Jarlaxle and Bregan D'aerthe with the help of Madame Benedicta, stop the adventurers and steal the keys. If Jarlaxle is able to escape Waterdeep with the keys, there is no knowing what he could accomplish with them and the massive amount of gold to which they provide access. To find out more about Podcasts of Waterdeep & the Waterdeep: Dragon Heist adventure book available in game stores now & everywhere September 18, head to dnd.wizards.com/powd.Support Godsfall and get access to behind-the-scenes videos and bonus content by subscribing to our Patreon.Listen & Subscribe: RSS FeediTunesGoogle PlaySpotifyYouTubeTwitch

Friend of the show Josh Perault from Taking Initiative joins the boys as they finally wriggle free of Double-O August with this episode's topic: "Hooks." You won't have to go fishing for good content in this one! Giovanni casts off the show by addressing his puzzle game addiction. Josh follows that line and pulls in a prize-winning discussion on exploration in games. Greg recounts how one game baited him into nearly ruining his life. Colin bobs into the conversation with some crooked game practices. Dave explains how if you give your dad a ball, he fills the sky with one star; if you teach your dad to roll balls, he messes it up anyway. We're little fish in a big pond right now. You can really help us grow up to be plump and tasty by writing us a review on Apple Podcasts. Shake out those pellets into our waiting mouths by liking us on Facebook. Help us return home to spawn by following us on Twitter. We might die being eaten by a bear, but that's all the more reason for you to subscribe to our YouTube Channel. Games discussed include Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure, The Witness, Fallout 3, Ridiculous Fishing, and Katamari Damacy.
