India Everett: Though a decorated actress and model, India Everett was most well known as a journalist and news anchor from the Midwest until she started appearing in film and TV projects in Los Angeles, California. She was born in St. Paul, MN, before her family moved with her to a small island off the coast of Seattle, WA, a few years later. Growing up on Vashon Island she was heavily involved in athletic, academic and artistic pursuits and was recognized for her achievements in all three. She went on to graduate from the then-top-ranked journalism school in the country, the University of Missouri, with a degree in TV & Radio Broadcast Journalism with Honors. She had spent several years as a reporter, anchor, and sports anchor at KOMU 8 News in Missouri before she was hired on to the greater task of starting a new morning show for a Midwest FOX affiliate in Minnesota. (She won the Missouri Professional Communicator of the Year award in 2012 for her accomplishments at KOMU). India built Fox in the Morning from the ground up as the lead anchor and producer of the brand new show. She also briefly appeared on their network on the popular Cooking With India segments, but both were canceled in under a year. Upon leaving FOX, she would return to the entertainment industry first primarily in modeling, securing consistent photoshoot work with Zulily, a major ecommerce retailer headquartered in Seattle, and then quickly finding success in southern California. In 2017 she signed with BMG Models LA for modeling, commercials, and theatrical acting and has appeared in a number of commercials, TV shows, and films with more that have yet to be released. She played the female lead, Kat, in indie short film Behind Closed Hearts, created from an award winning screenplay that premiered in select theaters March and April of 2018. In October of the same year, she appeared in a cut-for-time scene in the season finale of Modern Family - and was hand selected for a non-speaking role in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), alongside Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, and the rest of the star-studded cast. She would follow this blockbuster with another, earning a non-speaking role in Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise. She starred in a number of music videos, commercials, and won leading roles in several film projects portraying poignant female characters. Her portrayal of the sex trafficking victim, Greta, in I Am Not For Sale: The Fight To End Human Trafficking, played alongside Judi Evans and other top caliber talent, won her the Hero Award at the 2018 Lucky Strike Film Festival. As a model, she was featured in the June 2018 edition of Swimsuit Illustrated Magazine, and in December 2018 she was named Female Model of The Year at the UP(st)ART Creative Awards in Los Angeles for her published accomplishments throughout the year. In July of 2019, Everett graced the cover of Steppin' Out magazine with a four page internal spread on her work in the acting field and her evolution from small town journalist to the silver screen. She was featured as Maxim Magazines "What A Beautiful Woman Wants" article in July, 2019, and graced the cover and main feature in the Celebrity pages of Millennium Magazine in the August / September 2019 issue. NBC's classic soap "Days of Our Lives" hit the airwaves in November 1965, and forty-five years later, the show is still cooking with gas, and to help mark the soap's landmark anniversary, a quartet of the series' stars --- JAMES REYNOLDS (Salem's top cop Abe Carver), ARIANNE ZUCKER (scheming bad girl Nicole Walker), JUDI EVANS (family gal Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis), and SUZANNE ROGERS (heart-of-gold grandmother Maggie Horton) --- are stopping by the Buzz to reminisce about the show's glorious past, and to offer a sneak peek at the next forty-five years in the life of Salem, U.S.A.!

Maulik Pancholy, stars as "Jonathan," Jack's (Alec Baldwin's) affable but trustworthy assistant. Second guest will be Judi Evans, who stars as "Adrienne" on Days of Our Lives.

Though Judi Evans was born in Montebello, CA and grew up in Monterey Park, it would be accurate to add that the actress grew up professionally on daytime. Evans made her television debut on the CBS drama “Guiding Light” in 1983 as the troubled Beth Raines. Her performance won her the 1984 Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actress. In 1986 Evans joined NBC's “Days of our Lives,” where she portrayed the popular Adrienne Kiriakis opposite Wally Kurth's (ex-Ned, “General Hospital”) Justin. From 1991 to 1999 Evans played Paulina Carlino on “Another World,” a character that she described as "sweet and devilish." The role won her the “Soap Opera Digest” Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 1998. Evans was nominated for two additional “Soap Opera Digest” awards — Hottest Female Star in 1993 and Favorite Daytime Supercouple on a Daytime Serial — shared with Vincent Irizarry (ex-Lujack, “Guiding Light”) in 1986. After the cancellation of “Another World,” Evans took time off to focus on her family and moved back to California following her husband, an L.A.-based cameraman for CNBC. She returned briefly to acting in 2000 when she played Patsy Ramsey in the made-for-TV movie “Getting Away with Murder: The JonBenet Ramsey Mystery.” To the delight of her fans she came back to daytime in 2003 to play Mimi's trashy mother Bonnie Lockhart on ”Days of our Lives.” Bonnie left Salem in early 2007, but Adrienne soon returned to town. In 2008 she was again nominated for an Emmy, but this time for the dual roles of Adrienne Kiriakis and Bonnie Lockhart. This was a first for daytime since the characters were not on the air at the same time. She appeared briefly on “As the World Turns” in 2009, before returning once again to “Days of our Lives” as Adrienne Kiriakis. At the 2010 Daytime Emmys in Las Vegas, Evans was voted by TV Guide as the “Best Dressed All Around” for the 4-day celebration of the Daytime Emmys with its Pre-Emmy parties and after-parties.

Our Guiding Light tribute show is getting underway as we have slated some guest stars to make an appearance for the show. Hosted by NaVell J. Lee with special guest co-host Elvera Roussel, fans will be able to tune and hear some of GL's former and current cast members share wonderful experiences of the show, as well as voice their own. Among those that are slated/confirmed to attend are: Judi Evans (ex-Beth Raines 1983-1986), Denise Pence (ex-Katie Parker 1977-1985), and Krista Tesreau (Mindy Lewis). Also, Mimi Torchin will be making a special GL commentary on our live broadcast, and more names will be added to the roster very shortly.

Judi Evans, who is playing the role of Maeve on CBS Daytime's As the World Turns, will be making her very first appearance on BuzzWorthy Radio! She was the original Beth Raines (1983-1986), won an Emmy for her role in 1984. Was on Days of our Lives from 1986-1991 as Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis and again 2003-2008 as both Adrienne Kiriakis and Bonnie Lockhart. From 1991-1999 she was on NBC's "Another World" as Paulina Carlino.

Elvera Roussel, formerly Hope Bauer Spaulding from CBS Daytime's Guiding Light, will be making her first out of two appearances on BuzzWorthy Radio! Roussel will be joining us to talk about her time on the show during the golden years, and also what she has been up to since she left the show in 1984. Her 2nd appearance, Roussel will be posing as guest co-host for our GL tribute show, to air on BWR August 18, 2009 at 1 PM EST! Guests who are slated to attend are Krista Tesreau (Mindy Lewis), Denise Pence (ex-Katie Parker 1977-1985), and Judi Evans (ex-Beth Raines 1983-1986).
