On September 15, 2007, investigators responded to a call reporting a body had been found in a secluded area on Hoitt Avenue near Boone Street. When they arrived, they found 24-year-old Jennifer Leeann Law’s body partially burned in an alley. Jennifer was also known as Leeann and Pocahontas on the streets in Knoxville, TN. In this episode of Zone 7, Crime Scene Investigator, Sheryl McCollum, talks with Ciera Law, the daughter of Jennifer ‘Leenne’ Law aka  Pocahontas, whose tragic and unresolved murder has left lingering questions for 18 years. How do we know so much about supernovae, when all we see is this little point of light getting brighter and then dimmer over time? Given this minimal data, we can often say what type of star exploded, and even some details about how the explosion took place. Supernova astronomers are a lot like forensic scientists dusting for fingerprints and getting DNA samples at the scene of a crime. But instead of a typical crime scene, they are investigating the death of an entire solar system. Dr. Lindsey Kwok is a CIERA fellow at Northwestern University and an expert at using JWST to perform state-of-the-art forensic supernova science.

Hope misses the funeral but arrives later with news that there is no more change in Bo. Hope is suspious of this new grandson of Doug's and tells Jennifer to keep an eye on him. We learn that Doug III took the necklace and that he was recently released from prison. Paulina Lani and Chanel discuss Johnny. EJ tells Johnny he paid Joy to leave town. Johnny tells him Alex knows that he cheated. Joy tells Alex what EJ did and he goes to confront Johnny and Chanel walks in. Kat, Chad, Gabi and JJ get rooms and wait to confront Clyde. Today I speak with Dr. Ciera Kirkpatrick. She is an assistant professor of advertising and public relations at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Ciera studies how messages in the media — like social media, advertising, and news coverage — influence individuals' health by affecting their health-related knowledge, attitudes, and behavior intentions. After becoming a mom in 2020, Ciera became especially interested in the media's effects on new mothers. She noticed that social media was influencing her postpartum experience and her expectations of motherhood. Combining her personal experience with her expertise in media effects, Ciera began studying how social media comparisons to motherhood portrayals can be harmful to the mental health of new moms. Jill and Tom are in-studio this week for a far-reaching number of topics. Tom quickly updated everyone on the CDk Global/dealership-hacking crisis, which will reportedly be resolved later this week. The hosts briefly discussed Tesla's second quarter of disappointing sales, this while overall EV sales are projected to rise. Still in the first segment, Jill and Tom chatted about the Rivian/Volkswagen deal, which sees Rivian infused with a quick $1 billion—with the promise of additional funding at later dates—and VW gaining access to Rivian's EV software architecture. In the second segment, Jill and Tom are joined by Sam Fiorani of AutoForecast Solutions. Sam updated the hosts on several of the most-prominent—and most threatening to Western automakers—Chinese carmakers. Sam's tutorial included makers BYD, Chery, Geely, and Great Wall.
