Originally aired Dec. 6, 2022. Frank Santopadre is a veteran comedy writer and the longtime co-host of “Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast,” with the late, great Gilbert Gottfried. Prior to working with Gilbert, Frank helped to write jokes and supporting material for numerous awards shows (including the Daytime Emmys, the TV Land Awards, and the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize). He has also written comics for Bazooka Joe bubble gum, and mock ad copy, concepts, and character profiles for the Topps Company's popular Wacky Packs and Garbage Pail Kids trading cards series. Oh, and did we mention he also wrote for Mad and Cracked magazines? And the somewhat less zany The New York Times, The Washington Post, People, US Weekly, and Politico? Along the way, he has created comedy material for an eclectic line-up of celebrated personalities, including Bill Murray, Howard Stern, Sarah Silverman, Meryl Streep, Martin Short, and Ben Stiller, and briefly served as a staff writer on what he proudly calls “the worst sitcom in television history”—a forgettable show from the late ‘90s called “Lost on Earth,” hailed by The Los Angeles Times during its mercifully-brief run as “mirthless.” Join us for a somewhat more mirth-filled hour, as we talk about what it was like to help give voice to one of the most singular voices in the annals of American comedy—a joyful burden Frank kinda, sorta shared with podcast host Daniel Paisner, who collaborated with Gilbert Gottfried on his 2011 memoir Rubber Balls and Liquor. In this week's special episode of “Undressed,” hosts Pol' Atteu and Patrik Simpson take you through a comprehensive and entertaining critique of the fashion hits and misses from the 2024 Daytime Emmys. The episode begins with Pol welcoming the audience with a brand-new theme song, setting an upbeat tone for “Runway Rundown” and our mission to dissect and evaluate the red carpet looks, promising an unfiltered take on celebrity fashion. Our fashion microscope begins with Star Jones AKA: “hot mess” because the gown fails to fit properly and the overly high slit that runs up to her thigh. Jennifer Hudson is stunning in a full-length gown and beautiful hair styled in a bun in vibrant colors. Victoria Recaño wearing a gown inspired by “Crazy Rich Asians" feels dated and the tea-length gown does not suit her height. Heather Tom's ensemble sparks a harsher reaction and she misses the mark. Ashley Jones earns more favorable reviews with her chiffon full-length gown but, a clutch could have added a touch of sophistication. The critique continues with Lauren Staller, whose green crushed velvet dress is deemed a nightmare and it's out its season. Sheryl Lee Ralph is celebrated for her fashion sense in an all-black full-length dress. Lisa Guerrero's outfit, however, receives less favorable comments and she looks like she's dressed for a barbecue. Emily O'Brien is next, wearing an earth-tone wrap dress hugs her waistline with matching accessories that match her shoes. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood's outfit, unfortunately, does not fare well as it's probably a costume from Dancing with the Stars. The review moves on to Terri Seymour, who wears a full-length mesh fabric dress and tiny belt and both agree that the dress is a standout, showcasing Teri's fashion-forward choices. Luchina Fisher, on the other hand, makes a significant fashion misstep by wearing flats and an ill-fitting dress. Graziella Prunella's bridesmaid dress is noted for lacking accessories and Audrey Ly's all-white two-piece outfit is a hit for pairing it with a crystallized belt and a stylish jacket. Kiara Ortega's pageant-inspired look is discussed next. Tanner Novlan stands out among the male celebrities with his well-fitted look and his loafers, despite being unconventional, do not detract from his overall appearance. Gemma Bird Matheson's short black outfit pairedwith thigh-high boots from Amazon is deemed inappropriate but, Elia Cantu's high-low gown is praised for her beauty, though it resembles a prom dress. Jamila Norman's all-purple gown is a stunner and she hits it out of the ball park that “slays” with this look. Kelly Clarkson's hot pink dress is critiqued for not being resized after weight loss and the dress wasn't steamed properly and lacks the right undergarments, making it look matronly and Tamron Hall's daring all-black dress receives mixed reviews that the dress fails to flatter her. The episode wraps with our best and worst dressed. Who made the cut? Who dazzled and who fizzled?Whether you're looking for fashion tips, celebrity insights, or just a good laugh, this episode of “Undressed with Pol' and Patrik” delivers it all in style with this Runway Rundown recap! After a six-month delay because of the strike, the Daytime Emmys are being broadcast on CBS. And guess what? I'm being honored. I am so excited. I'm being inducted into the Emmys Gold Circle. It's a new honor for folks who've had a long, exciting, and impactful career. I guess that would be me. Anyway, as a refresher, "General Hospital" pulled in the most nominations with an impressive 19 nods and classic soaps, "The Bold and the Beautiful," "The Young and the Restless," and "Days of Our Lives," racked up 14, 13, and 11 nominations, respectively. In the talk show arena, Kelly Clarkson's show earned a whopping 11 nominations, and my favorite, Sherri Shepherd's "Sherri," was also nominated. I can't wait to see Sherri and give her a big hug. Yes, I am so excited, and I will be posting lots of photos on AURN's Instagram (@aurnonline). Check it out. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

This week Mea Culpa welcomes the legendary actor, comedian, director, and producer Henry Winkler. Best known for his iconic turn as “The Fonze” on Happy Days and more recently for his Emmy-nominated role on the hit comedy “Barry”, playing beloved acting teacher Gene Cousineau. And before that, he was a staple on “Arrested Development”, “Hank Zipzer” and Winkler even appeared as himself on “Bojack Horseman”. All told, Winkler's accolades include a Primetime Emmy, two Daytime Emmys, two Golden Globes, and a Critics Choice Award. Not bad. He's a Yale “School of Drama” Grad and his acting career spans 6 decades. He has performed in both dramatic and comedic roles, in film television, and on stage. Though one might say he is the quintessential character actor. He's done several pictures with his buddy Adam Sandler including, “Little Nicky” and “Don't Mess with the Zohan” and has continued to collaborate with his “Happy Day”s cohort, Ron Howard. Journalist Michael Schneider said recently, that "the rumors are true," Winkler is "one of the nicest, most genuine men in all of Hollywood.” Michael and Henry Winkler talk about their family life, their careers, and of course politics.
