A sweet recap of my annual girls trip! One of my favorite traditions in all its the simplicity, and the blessing of a friendship where silence feels like home. Spa day, delicious shared meals, football, books, chats by the pool and the reminder that taking time for yourself matters more than you think.
“Have you ever wondered why some drivers treat the freeway entrance ramp like a Sunday stroll instead of the fast lane it's meant to be?” That's just one of the everyday mysteries JB and Sandy tackle in this lively episode, where relatable frustrations and laugh-out-loud moments collide. From the hilarious viral Instagram clip about “zoom-zoom” merging to personal stories of Texas turnarounds and the infamous frontage road, JB and Sandy—joined by the ever-insightful Tricia—dive into the quirks of driving culture that unite (and sometimes divide) us all. You'll hear about Sandy's sister's “frontage road” confusion, Landry's quick-witted take on Austin construction (“That's really nice of the city to build the homeless a patio”), and the universal agony of the opportunist who tries to cut the merge line. But the conversation doesn't stop at traffic. The crew shifts gears to college sports, where Tricia breaks down the dramatic drop in Arch Manning's NIL valuation—from a staggering $6.8 million to $3.6 million in just a few games. Is the pressure of fame and fortune too much for student athletes? Should NIL payouts be structured like pensions? The hosts debate, sharing personal anecdotes and sharp insights, including the memorable line: “If his last name was Wotowski, he'd never have started there.” You'll also get a dose of holiday humor as JB and Sandy riff on fake Christmas trees, Costco's infamous return policy, and the art of sneaking a framed photo into a friend's house for years without them noticing. The episode wraps with a playful look at the Louvre's latest security blunder—someone hung a Lego-framed painting in the same room as the Mona Lisa! Notable Quotes & Moments:“Go zoom zoom so we can all go zoom zoom.”“That's really nice of the city to build the homeless a patio.”“If his last name was Wotowski, he'd never have started there.”“Sometimes the best art looks like a small child did it.”“If joy has been had around this tree, you have to keep it. You cannot return it.”Call to Action Loved this episode? Don't miss out—subscribe to The JB and Sandy Show, leave us a review, and share your favorite moments with friends! Getting away is a hard but necessary thing, especially when you're in a caregiving kind of role. Jesus knew that he needed to get away and to get rest and he knew that his followers and friends needed to get rest and a bit of retreat. And even though Jesus never really gets the rest […]

Guest: Ghada Alsharif, Toronto Star immigration & work reporter A new report has revealed that workers in Ontario are being shortchanged by nearly $200 million in unpaid wages. It's called wage theft and, in many cases, workers aren't getting paid even after the province officially orders their employers to do so. Less than a quarter of the money sent to Ontario's Ministry of Finance for collection has actually been recovered, leaving tens of thousands of workers still out of pocket. In this episode, we speak with Toronto Star reporter Ghada Alsharif about her latest three-part investigation into Ontario's growing wage theft crisis, and how the province's weak enforcement system is allowing employers to avoid accountability, from shell companies to disappearing franchises. GETTING AWAY FROM THE ENEMY James 4:6–8 6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. There's a powerful simplicity in these three short verses. They form a roadmap for victory over spiritual battles—clear steps that don't depend on our strength, but on our surrender. James gives us three commands that work together like links in a chain: submit, resist, and draw near. When these are followed in order, the result is unmistakable—“the devil will flee.” Music By: Mike Outland

Prime Minister Mark Carney unveiled yesterday the first plans for his ‘Build Canada Homes’ program. After demanding his ministers to find a way to cut spending inside multiple areas of government, we are now learning that projections for the next federal budget will see a deficit of around $100 billion. The Journal de Montreal reports today that nearly 90 percent of fraud cases reported to police result in no charges being laid. As we approach the changing of the clocks on November 2nd, it seems doubtful that Quebec will move forward with eliminating the time change.

You won't believe the blatant cheating we caught President Trump doing on the golf course. The Ash, Luttsy and Nikki Osborne podcast is calling out Trump's lack of integrity - but that's not all. We're airing your stories of deception, from sneaky school kids to manipulative board games. Get ready for some wild confessions that reveal the dodgy side of human nature. The episode opens with footage showing Trump clearly cheating at golf. He takes advantage of his caddy to improve his lie in a bunker. We discuss the ethics of cheating and why it never sits right. Then we share stories from our own checkered pasts - like using chat answers to pass a driving test or hiding behind trees on school cross country. 2:34 - Ash recalls a friend blatantly cheating at golf by throwing down a new ball. The memory still stings 15 years later. 5:16 - We admit to minor pool table infractions - but rule breakers who just grab balls mid-game are the worst. 8:02 - Cheating by Trump and others on the golf course just feels extra slimy. The stigma sticks. 10:12 - Callers share their best cheating stories: dodging orienteering, sneaky Monopoly money, taking shortcuts on school laps. 16:23 - Ever been blocked by oblivious people with no self-awareness? We vent about travelators, escalators, distracted parents and more. Buckle up for confessions and outrage as we expose the unsportsmanlike side of human nature. You'll never look at your friends and leaders the same way again. Hit play to hear all the juicy details.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

I really values the constructs that: ‘you cannot solve the problem you have created in the environment in which you created it'… and ‘many minds make for smarter work'. What could you see more clearly if you took time with key decision-makers away from your farm? How many more options and insights might you access if you more actively called on the collective wisdom of other high-performing farm owners? In this episode, Sam Johnsson speaks with FOA coaches Cassandra Kath, Elle Webb and Sam Pincott to unpack the powerful conversations and insights to come from our latest client conference, our ‘Organise Infrastructure' Deep Dive. With more than 550 farm owners in the room, the focus was clear: how to optimise your investment in infrastructure, equipment and technologies in order to drive efficiency, productivity and farm performance. We all have a long-list of items we'd like to invest in to move our farm's forward. At the same time there are a host of emerging technologies we need to be considering to help get it done. Getting the sequence for these investments, and structuring them in the right way is critical. Being cautious and under-investing can limit our progress. Being too bullish and over-investing can lock-up cashflow and capital and be the thing that brings us un-stuck. Are we allocating capital to the highest pay-off items? Are we making measured decisions based accurate due diligence? Are we working to a well-designed strategic plan, or making emotive and reactive investment decisions? For those who attended, breakthroughs came not from a spreadsheet, but from getting off-farm and into a room filled with open, like-minded growth-oriented peers. From sharing 250 tested infrastructure improvements to creating space for goal-setting, strategy and real connection, the impact was felt well beyond the conference content. In this interview, we cover: how a clear process helps avoid ‘wish-list' investing; the value of stepping off-farm to reflect, reset, and return with focus; the impact of immersing yourself in a high-performing farm business community, with individuals open to sharing all of what underpins their success; and how clarity can often come from one honest and open conversation, or one small and meaningful action. You don't need to have it all figured out. It's about carving out time and space to slow-down, think, question, collaborate, reflect and reset your plan. Sam J, thank you for stepping in for this discussion while I take some time to be with my family. Thank you Cass, Elle & Sam P for your reflections and insightful comments. Keep winning! How Important Is Bryan Kohberger's Essay On Getting Away With Stabbing Crime To The Case? Ret FBI Coffindaffer Breaks It Down What happens when your college homework sounds suspiciously like a real-life murder manual? Turns out, Bryan Kohberger's 2020 final for his criminal justice class wasn't just a routine academic exercise—it might be the most damning piece of "fiction" sitting in a courtroom today. Tony Brueski and retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer dive deep into the eerie overlap between Kohberger's so-called crime scene analysis and the alleged murders he's now accused of. We're talking detailed notes about hair nets, fiber-free overalls, and how to leave no trace—right down to the kind of gloves to wear. It's not just creepy, it's disturbingly meticulous. But if it was so well-planned, how did he botch it by leaving behind a knife sheath? Jennifer breaks down how impulse, rejection, and a lack of empathy might've led to the unraveling of what some could call a “near-perfect” crime. And then there's the digital trail—was Kohberger obsessively Googling himself after the murders?
