Zdaniem ambasadora w region mogą zostać wciągnięci kolejni gracze, a to znacząco zwiększa ryzyko dłuższej i znacznie bardziej niebezpiecznej wojny.Khalifa podkreślał, że w regionie znajduje się już wystarczająco dużo uzbrojenia, by skutki dalszej eskalacji były bardzo poważne. Jego zdaniem dziś nikt nie jest w stanie wiarygodnie przewidzieć, jak długo potrwa ta wojna.Zbliżamy się do wielkiej wojny. I broń Boże, żeby do tego doszło– zaznaczył.
