If you had to pick one for your home, would it be a dry “finnish” sauna or an infrared sauna based on the health benefits? I know the dry saunas have been around forever and there are hundreds of studies on their benefits where as there doesn't seem to be as many on the infrared saunas. Thanks!                                                                                                                                                                                          Elsa: Hi Dr. Cabral.Just finished my first ever 7 day detox and getting ready to do some tests. I'm 58 years old, work out regularly and eat a relatively healthy diet. Was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism many years ago and taking Np Thyroid at the present time. Three and a half years ago was surprised by a heart attack which lead to the placement of several stents on my LAD. This made me focus on my health and trying to find out what the underlying causes were although all explanations I got was that it was all genetics. Of course cardiologist wants me to take statins, aspirin and blood thinners for life which I'm not willing to do if I can help it. My question is about blood thinners and aspirin.Could something like proteolytic enzymes combined with omega-3 supplements work in a similar way?            Morgan: Hi Dr. Cabral,I've beenLoving your podcast for quite some time now. I'm wondering where you recommend to start when diagnosed with candida potentially due to mold. My doctor also thought I had a parasite and SIBO at this time and started me on albendazole and xifaxan. When taking Zyon, my fungal symptoms, significantly worsened. I started having severe dandruff, bloating, gas, fatigue. She now wants me to take prescription itraconazole for up to six months, along with atrantil PRO (which contains probiotics), magnesium, IGY, and DAO. What are your thoughts on these recommendations? Six months seems like a long period of time to me. Is this normally how long it takes, even if going the natural route? Would it be worthwhile to start the CBO protocol instead? I had a conversation with a friend recently about raising children. The person I was talking to didn't think it was possible to raise a child as nonbinary. In fact, they believed that it was impossible to raise a child without gender norms. Well, allow this interview to be an example for anyone out there who shares that belief. The NCAA transfer portal is alive and well, and the state of California has a pair of players for Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs to pursue - UC-Riverside guard Zyon Pullin and San Jose State center Ibrahima Diallo. Pullin is a grad transfer who averaged over 18 points per game last year, and at 6'4 he'd be a perfect replacement should Malachi Smith decide to pursue a professional basketball career rather than return to Spokane. Diallo is a rim protector who could fill a valuable role as a defensive big, although finding consistent playing time might be tough if Anton Watson returns to a frontcourt that already features Graham Ike and Ben Gregg. Before he would become arguably one of the most popular members of hip-hop's newest collective known as “41” -- the rapper TaTa was born Zaire Tasean Rivera on February 17th, 2005 in the Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Born to his mother, Joniqua Alvarez and his father, Zaire Rivera, Zaire Jr. was raised in a Puerto Rican and Panamanian family alongside three brothers, Zyon, King, and Prince, as well as one sister, Laila. Together, these four spent the vast majority of their youth growing up on the streets of Brownsville in Brooklyn. As a kid, Zaire's early life was pretty rudimentary. He used to fill his hours by playing basketball in the park and then picking up a controller and gaming well into the night. He also had a deep-seated passion for music, looking up to a number of hip-hop icons including Drake, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, and Lil Wayne. His infatuation with these rappers' skill sets would lead to Zaire trying his hand at writing rap lyrics of his own from a young age -- but he didn't concentrate on music as much as he might have liked to at first because he also had to focus on his education.
