This is message 28 in the Isaiah series. Isaiah 28:1-29 God's people had grown weary of clear, simple preaching. They mocked Isaiah for repeating God's Word line upon line, but their rejection of plain truth would bring devastating judgment. God would scatter them among foreign nations where they could no longer hear or understand His voice. Yet through it all, God remained faithful—plowing, planting, and threshing with purpose—calling His people back to truth, if only they would humble themselves and listen. 1/19/25 - God, as one would teach a child, has revealed His judgement to come, and instructed us in the way of escape. If we do not respond to His word, we will be swept away in judgement.

This week we hear how people hearing the truth chooses not to read between the lines but outside the lines. Jesus tells the truth but the focus of the hearer of the word is to hear what they want to hear...which can prove to be fatal.
In our society today, there are so many voices bearing witness to who we are, some are true but there are quite a few that aren't. The world is suffering from an identity crisis and it's mainly because we are listening to voices that choose to not bear witness to the truth. The scriptures mentions that there should be two or three witnesses that confirms what is legit. I don't believe this means everyone who is in agreement with you but as Jesus explains in Matthew 5:31-39 we can discover that witnesses can come from many ways but ultimately the deciding witness that bears with us is God and His truth. There's 'Self' witness, 'Man's' witness, 'Works' witness, 'Word/Scripture' witness and more importantly 'God' witness. As humans we can think, say, or do something that word seem to bear witness of who we are but ultimately, if it doesn't line-up to who God says we are then we are giving birth to a lie. So, who or what are WE allowing to bear witness of ourselves and do they or does it line up with the One who has CREATED us and DEFINED us?Scripture Ref.Deuteronomy 19:15; "...mouth of two....three witness..."Matthew 5:14; "...you are the light of the world..." Matthew 5:31-39; The bearing witnessesMark 9:7; "...a voice came out of the clouds..." John 3:8; "...everyone...born of the Spirit..."John 6:42; Knowing who He was in the natural and not the spiritualJohn 14:6; "...the way, truth, and life..."
None of us are or were exempt from sin. Like the woman in this chapter, we were condemned and deserving of death, but someone who could have sealed our fate decided to pause and remind our accuser that he too was condemned and he had to drop his stones. We have been given great grace! What are we going to do with it - continue in our sin or will we go and sin no more? Scripture Ref.Leviticus 20:101 John 1:6 John 12:46Matthew 7:1-2Luke 12:48Romans 5:20Luke 4:10-11, 13Ephesians 6:12John 3:17Acts 9
We should expect to have conflict with the world, but sometimes, being a bearer of God's truth, our unlikely oppositions can often be those we should least expect. Those who are wrapped in the religion of God and not the relationship with God.But no matter who it is, we must speak the truth, stay in the truth no who or what opposes the truth!Remember a lie will always need a crutch to stand, but the truth can stand all by itself. Scripture Ref.
A Preacher trying to kill the truth, and then lie about it...crazy right? Not living up to the truth that they are suppose represent.See why it's important for us to know the truth for ourselves and why it's necessary for us to allow the Spirit to open our eyes to see the spiritual with the natural.Search the scriptures and allow the Spirit to teach you all things and guide you into all truth. John 14:26, 16:13Scripture Ref:
Should we judge or shouldn't we judge? If so, what should we judge? Judging has become a no-no, and in some ways, it has made some Christians uncomfortable about telling the truth because they will be labeled as being judgmental. How do we help each other if we can't say anything about the sin in our lives?Learn what Jesus says about judging righteously. Scripture Ref.
How do we know if someone is telling the truth? First, if you know the truth then you will know if they are telling the truth. Also, in vs 17 Jesus explains what to look for when someone is proclaiming the truth.~ A lie will always need crutches to stand upon, but the truth will always stand on its own.~ Scripture Ref. John 7:17-24a
How valuable are the souls of people to God? If God desires that none should perish, that He would send His only begotten Son, dressed in flesh, to save our swimming in darkness souls, surely, souls are very valuable to Him. But souls are also valuable to Satan! That's why Jesus came to save! To snatch us from the power of darkness so that we may experience His marvelous Light! The book of John shows us how much God and Christ loves us by how He goes to the extreme for us. But He also gives us an example a blueprint of how extreme we should be for the souls He deeply loves... no matter who they are or how much they reject Him.Our success depends on how much we see ourselves and keep ourselves abiding in Him...At All Cost! Scripture Ref. Heavenly Minded; Col 3:2 Vengeance is God; Rom 12:19 While we were yet sinners; Rom 5:8 Love covers sins; 1 Peter 4:8Overcome evil with good; Rom 12:21 We shall have persecution; 2 Tim 3:12 Light comes and darkness rejects, John 3:19Called to be unmovable; 1 Cor 15:58 Persecution because of Truth; Luke 4:29Message is from God; John 14:10Called from dark to light; 1 Peter 2:9 Study to be approved; 2 Tim 2:15
Have you ever had family members who didn't believe in you or maybe they wanted you to do things that you didn't want to do? How would you respond to finding out that people were planning to do harm to you? What about people hating you just because you tell the truth? Do you think you are strong enough to carry such a weight? To say yes to Christ means more than just receiving salvation. There is a price to follow Him, a weight of bearing Truth. In these opening verses in John 7, we will see what it takes to be a Truth Bearer. Scripture Ref. Be Holy For He is Holy; Eph 1:4, 1 Peter 1:15-16, 2 Peter 3:11 and 1 Thess 14:7-8 Heavenly Minded; Col 3:1-2Time to be silent and a time to speak; Eccl 3:7Only Him will we serve; Matt 4:10Speaking Truth in Love; Eph4:15
What are we seeking Christ for, is it for what He can do for us in the natural or is it for what He has done for us in the Spirit? What are you seeking? A closer walk with creation or a closer walk with the Creator? Our choice will decide what we shall reap and what is festering deeply in the belly of our hearts.Scripture Ref.Mark 1:37 , " ...all men seek for you"John 4:34, meat to do the will of the SenderMatt 12:34, "...out of the abundance of the heart"1 Cor 13:2-3, "Nothing and profit isn't anything without LoveLuke 2:49 , "...about my Father's business"Col 3:23, do unto the LordPsalms 139:23-24, "...try me and know my thoughts..."
Believing in Jesus can go a long way quicker. But we must be willing to get to the place where we can release our fears into the faith of Jesus. Scripture Ref.I Jn 4:18 , "perfect love cast out fear2 Tim 1:7, Spirit of power, love and a sound mindMatt 28"...never leave us..."James 4:7, "Submit to God...."Matt 19:26, "...all things are possible"
As deep cries out to deep; the prophet Isaiah describes understanding the mysteries of God by going “line upon line, precept upon precept”.To understand God's Word and to draw closer to the Him, we need to learn how to ask questions and follow the answers through the entire Bible. This changes our relationship with the Father and leads us to the deeper truth that He is God Almighty, along with Jesus - our friend, brother and Savior. In this episode, Zach gives an example of a principle followed through from beginning to end and how to apply it.
Feeding the 5000+ was pretty amazing. Jesus, with an insufficient supply fed the great demand, sufficiently. We learn that when we give what we have, with a thankful heart, to the one whose supplies are endless, we discover that even the fragmented leftovers can go a long way in meeting His Kingdom purpose. Scripture Ref.James 1:17, every good and perfect giftPsalms 34:1, His praise will continually be in my mouthJohn 6:39, I should lose nothingActs 17:28, in Him we live, and move, and have our beingIsaiah 26:3, mind is stayed on thee
Sometimes what we see, or think isn't what we get. And though His thoughts and ways are above our thoughts and ways, we are often tested to see if our thoughts and ways have been transformed to reflect what we have seen our Jesus do and what we have heard our Jesus say. Scripture Ref.John 6:1-11, Loaves and fishesProverbs 3:5-6, lean not on own understandingHebrews 4:3, works finished from the foundation of the world1 Thessalonian 5:18, Thanksgiving is WILL of God
As a believer we are witnesses by the change in our lives, (as well as others who knew us-as an old creation) coming out of darkness and into the marvelous light of Christ. The witness of the change in our lives should always point to the witness of Jesus for their lives also. And even though we can be a witness for Him, and even though people may not believe our witness of Him, rejecting Him only keeps those who do, from receiving His gift of Abundant Life. Believing in Him or not doesn't change who He is or what he's done. As 2 Timothy 2:13 notes, "If we are faithless, He remains faithful. He can't deny Himself."Jesus has a greater Witness than man who validates Him, and Jesus also validates the only True God. (John 17:3)Scripture Ref.John 5:37-47; The WitnessDeuteronomy 32:30, Matthews 18:30, Philippians 2:6,
"If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true." ~ JesusIf the Son of God; the Way, the Truth and the Life makes this statement about Himself, then we must ask ourselves Who or What are we allowing to be our witness, proclaiming who we are? Our humanity isn't a reliable witness because we tend to lean on our own understanding and from a vantage point that is deficient in the full truth. Scripture Ref. John 5:31-38, The WitnessProverbs 27:2, Don't let your lips praise youMatthews 12:34, Abundant heartProverbs 3:5-6, Leaning on own understandingHebrews 4:15, Tempted in all points1 Corinthians 15:14, If Christ didn't rise from the grave.
"It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord..."Through these verses in John, 22-30, we can see the relationship between the Father and the Son. From it we can hear Jesus calling us to a 'like' relationship. Jesus did and said what He saw the Father do and say, and It's this type of relationship that He wants us to operate under. To live, move and have our being as one with Him and the Father. It's time for us to Represent and Keep it Real by living in this oneness with Jesus by knowing the authority He has given to every believer, to say what we heard or hear (by the Holy Spirit) Him say and do what we have seen or see (by the Holy Spirit) our Jesus do or did.Scripture Ref.Proverbs 10:1, How foolish son affects motherMatthews 3:17, My Son in whom I'm well pleasedJohn 17:3, Eternal lifeJohn 9:23, Blind but now I seeMatthews 27:23-33, Coming out the gravesRevelations 20:11-15, White throne of Judgement1 Corinthians 11:31-32, Judging ourselvesIsaiah 53:7-9, Jesus was oppressedJohn 13:33-35, To love one anotherRevelations 2:17, Ear to hearMLK Quote: "Eleven o'clock on Sunday morning is, if not, the most segregated hour in Christian America"Romans 8:29, Conformed to image of ChristJohn 15:2, Purging for more fruit
While walking our faith journey, we can come across or appear to be judgmental. Some accusations may be valid but there are times when it's not. But to a caring, loving Christian who desires to see life produce life, sometimes these false accusations can leave us wondering "Is it okay to judge our brother or sister?" Especially if they quote scriptures that says, "Don't judge..." Through Christ, our example, and the Holy Spirit, our teacher, we pray that you will know the difference between Righteous Judgement and Unrighteous Judgement.Scripture Ref.Matthews 7: 1-2, JudgementJohn 5:22, JudgementRevelations 20:11-15, White Throne of JudgementProverbs 27:17, Iron sharpen ironMatthews 18:15-17, Offense against brothersJohn 3:18, World condemned alreadyMatthews 7:3-5, Mote on eyeMatthews 7:2, What measure you meteGalatians 2:11-14, Paul correction to PeterJohn 17:21, All be one

In this episode I talk about the process of change. What we think we need to do vs what we actually need to do. I give examples of areas of big changes is my own life and the steps needed to get those big results. Listen in! I would love a review!
