In this episode, we're joined by Madhav Bhandari, VP Marketing at Storylane, the demo automation platform helping B2B teams show their product before prospects ever talk to sales. Storylane is a profitable, fully remote SaaS with 50 employees, and a clear path toward $20M+. Madhav shares how Storylane broke out of the “race to average” in an insanely crowded martech and sales tech market, not by spending more, but by building a repeatable system for pattern interruption. We unpack how they used unconventional SEO, brand plays, and GTM experiments to grow brand searches from 1,500 to 12,000 per month, drive massive inbound, and turn marketing into a true growth engine. We spoke with Madhav about why great products aren't enough anymore, how to become the first vendor prospects discover, and how to build a marketing portfolio that consistently produces breakout ideas instead of chasing one-hit wonders. Here are some of the key questions we address: Why visibility, not budget, is the real advantage in crowded SaaS markets What pattern interruption actually means and how to systematize it How Storylane grew brand searches 8x and created an unfair inbound advantage Why traditional SEO and blog strategies are too slow, and what replaced them How to build a marketing portfolio instead of chasing viral one-offs Where pattern interruption should live and why leadership must own it
Kicking off 2026, let's cut through the noise and focus on what actually matters: edtech tools that can genuinely move the needle for educators. Rather than chasing trends or shiny new platforms, this episode is about intentional, practical technology use that supports feedback, collaboration, creativity, engagement, organization, and student voice.#EdTech Thought: Shrinking the Engagement GapThe episode tackles the growing disconnect between students' highly interactive digital lives outside of school and the passive digital experiences they often encounter in classrooms.Chris challenges the idea that more screen time equals more engagement and introduces the 80/20 Producer Strategy:For every 80% of the time students spend consuming informationEnsure at least 20% is spent creating something with value beyond the gradebookThe core message:Engagement in 2026 isn't about flashy tools. It's about student agency. When students create, design, build, and solve real problems, the engagement gap begins to close.Six Tools to Level Up in 2026#1 Mote — Rethinking FeedbackFeedback is essential but time-consuming. Mote allows educators to leave quick voice comments directly inside Google Docs, Slides, and LMS platforms. Why it matters:Faster than typingMore personal and humanAccessible through audio + transcriptionLevel-Up Question:Where in your workflow could your voice be more effective than your keyboard?#2 FigJam — Making Thinking VisibleFigJam is a collaborative digital whiteboard that turns learning into an active, visible process.Use it to:Brainstorm and organize ideasCapture student thinking in real timeSupport collaboration for both synchronous and asynchronous workLevel-Up Question:How often do students visually share their thinking before submitting a final product?#3 Canva — Creativity That CommunicatesCanva has evolved into a full creation and communication platform, allowing students to demonstrate learning visually and professionally.Classroom possibilities include:Infographics and explainer visualsDigital portfoliosEthical media creation and storytellingLevel-Up Question:Are students creating content — or just consuming it?#4 Curipod, Pear Deck & Nearpod — Real-Time EngagementThese tools transform traditional presentations into interactive learning experiences through polls, questions, and formative checks. Why they work:Immediate insight into student understandingNo extra gradingIncreased accountability without pressureLevel-Up Question:How often do you
Var det mote i steinalderen? Korleis skifta moten gjennom dei ulike periodane i gammal tid? Innspela i Fana 10. desember 2025.

As we near the end of the Trinity season our thoughts move to the end of the world in our worship services, and the confidence that the Christian has to stand before the Judge of the world on that day. We can only stand with confidence if we stand on Jesus because of His blood and His perfect life. Nothing else in this life can offer the sinner what is needed to be confident of forgiveness, and eternal life. The English hymnwriter, Edward Mote, puts this to words in this hymn. The chorus is based on Jesus' words in Matthew 7:24-27: “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” In addition to this verse, Mote also weaves in thoughts from other Bible verses that point to Jesus as our Confidence on the Last Day. These verses include: Romans 3:23-26 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Hebrews 6:19-20 - This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 - Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Philippians 3:8-9 - Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; What a comfort it is to know that the life and death of Jesus is our reason we can have confidence on the last day! May the LORD bless your worship this weekend!

Subscribe today for access to our full catalog of bonus episodes, including 2+ new episodes every month! www.patreon.com/boysbiblestudy We kick off football season with a review of a new film by prolific Christian director Jason Campbell. WE BELIEVE, which even features a cameo by former Superman actor Dean Cain, takes an impressionistic look at a real high school football community in St. Mary's, West Virginia, centering on the inspirational story of coach Jodi Mote. Grounded in fact, the film makes odd leaps into seemingly fictional storylines about St. Mary's students, an attempt to introduce conflict while staying inoffensive to the community. That tension becomes the film's biggest weakness. WE BELIEVE was cowritten by Campbell, Jodi Mote, and his wife Brandy, so the Motes clearly have a personal stake in telling the story of Jodi's sudden stroke, which left him unable to coach the St. Mary's Blue Devils during a crucial season. He was temporarily replaced by Bill Hanlin, a local legend remembered for coaching an undefeated season in 1963. The film's action drifts between Mote's recovery (as his team and special ed students miss him), Hanlin instilling Christian values in the Blue Devils, and contrived side plots: a Danish freshman exchange student turned field-goal kicker, and a troubled teen named Trey whose broken home pushes him into drinking and sexual temptation. The Danish subplot is especially bizarre, since actor Addison Dattilo, tattooed and visibly closer to 28 than 14, plays the role with the vibe of a California surfer instead of a homesick exchange student. In general, it is disappointing that the only conflicts (underage drinking, divorce, high school politics) are fictionalized; meanwhile the true story is flattened. The film would be far more compelling if it explored Mote's actual challenges. What did loneliness and frustration feel like for a devout Christian man whose body had failed him? To admit weakness, however, would cut against the film's purpose: flattering its collaborators. More celebrated for her dark, satirical short stories, Flannery O'Connor nevertheless burst on the literary scene in 1952 in her mid-twenties with her debut novel, Wise Blood. The story of a would-be preacher resistant to God's grace, the plot features some of the most bizarre and twisted left turns in American literature: self-blindings with lye, underaged ingenues named Sabbath, stolen mummies and gorilla suits, and enough vehicular homicides and car wreckage to make one renew one's AAA membership. For most readers, Hazel Motes's struggle to reconcile divine providence with the desire for free will is a tough conservative theology lesson to swallow. In this episode we explore how O'Connor employed the trope of the grotesque in Southern fiction to make her dogmatic point, asking whether the sheer weirdness of her characters distracts from her message.
In this episode, I chat with multidisciplinary artist Ellen Mote, whose creative journey spans continents, mediums, and deeply personal themes. From growing up in Lagos, Nigeria to building a successful jewelry business and returning to painting after motherhood, Ellen's story is one of resilience, reinvention, and reclaiming permission to create without limits. We explore: The limiting beliefs Ellen overcame to pursue her art Her transition from metalsmithing to large-scale abstract painting How her paintings of the female form reflect identity, motherhood, and imperfection The power of narrative in marketing art—and the moment she realized her story mattered How she uses tools like a creative “bingo card” to stay focused and inspired This conversation is for any artist questioning their path or struggling to fit into one box. Ellen shows us how embracing multidimensional creativity—and telling the truth behind your work—can lead to the most authentic and fulfilling art practice. Welcome to Parsha and Prose, where Rabbi Shlomo Gemara and I weave the Torah's timeless wisdom with the insights of great literature. This week, we're diving into the double Torah portion Acharei Mot-Kedoshim (Leviticus 16:1–20:27), which grapples with the aftermath of Nadav and Avihu's deaths, the Yom Kippur atonement rituals, and a call to holiness through ethical and ritual laws. Through the lens of J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye, we explore how Holden Caulfield's restless quest for authenticity and his struggle with a “phony” world mirrors the Torah's demand for genuine connection to God and others. Just as Acharei Mot seeks purification after loss and Kedoshim urges us to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18), Holden's yearning to protect innocence and find truth reflects a search for meaning in a fractured society. Join us as we uncover how these texts challenge us to confront our flaws, embrace sincerity, and build a life of purpose amidst chaos.

Erin Mote, CEO of InnovateEDU, joins Mike Palmer to discuss the future of education and the role of AI in shaping learning. Erin shares her insights on the importance of AI literacy, the need for ethical AI development, and the challenges and opportunities facing education in the age of AI. She emphasizes the importance of preparing students for a rapidly changing world and highlights the need for collaboration between K-12, higher education, and the workforce. Key Takeaways: AI is transforming the education landscape. Educators need to embrace AI and prepare students for an AI-powered world. AI literacy is essential for all students. Schools need to incorporate AI education into their curricula to ensure students have the skills and knowledge to navigate an AI-driven society.
In this episode, we look at Jesus' parable about the mote and the beam and what we can learn from it for our own lives and walks of faith. We look at what exactly the mote and the beam are, what they symbolize, the differences between them and what the result of having them and looking for them are. We can't look for motes in the eyes of others while we ignore the beam in our own, we need to cast it out and let the Holy Spirit move freely in our life!

Initially, Jasmine's interest in marine science was sparked by her family's fishing background, particularly her grandmother and father's love for fishing. This early exposure to the ocean and fishing instilled a curiosity in Jasmine about marine life and led her to attend a marine science summer camp in high school. The pivotal moment in Jasmine's career journey was when she discovered at the summer camp that studying fish could be a viable career option. This realization opened up a new path for her, leading her to pursue marine biology in college. Jasmine's academic journey took her to the College of Charleston, where she had the opportunity to conduct research on sharks, skates, and rays. Her experience at a small liberal arts college allowed her to build close relationships with professors and engage in hands-on research projects. Transitioning to graduate school at Florida State University, Jasmine focused on studying smalltooth sawfish, an endangered species. Despite challenges in adapting to the larger university environment and the city of Tallahassee, Jasmine's passion for marine conservation and policy drove her to excel in her research and academic pursuits. After completing her master's degree, Jasmine joined the Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, where she played a key role in developing a program to broaden participation in marine science. Her experience at Mote highlighted the importance of mentorship and support for underrepresented groups in the field. The founding of Minorities in Shark Science (MISS) in June 2020 was a response to the racial injustices and incidents of discrimination that gained widespread attention, particularly in the Black birder community. Inspired by the need for diversity and inclusion in marine science, Jasmine leveraged her personal experiences and challenges to create a platform that supports gender minorities of color in shark science. Jasmine's journey from academia to leading MISS exemplifies how individual experiences, challenges, and a commitment to equity and diversity can drive career paths and advocacy efforts in marine science and conservation. Her transition from a research-focused role to a leadership position in a non-profit organization reflects her dedication to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for underrepresented groups in the field.
Gordon Mote, a piano player and musician who was blind from birth, shares with us the discovery of his astounding musical abilities at the age of three to being one of the first in the U.S. to enter the public school system as a blind student and overcoming all the unique challenges that would ultimately shape him into the musical legend he is today. With two Grammy Award nominations, twenty-one Academy of Country Music Award nominations, and three-time recipient of the Academy of Country Music Keyboard/Piano Player of the Year, Gordon has collaborated with renowned artists, including Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Martina McBride, Bob Seger, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, Josh Turner, Darius Rucker, The Gaither Vocal Band, The Martins, Triumphant Quartet, and Alison Krauss. Despite his numerous accolades, Gordon shows no signs of slowing down from using his gifts to the fullest and also reflects on how his own faith and support from others have helped him along the way. Quotes “There I was, just a little bitty three year old, sitting on the piano, barely big enough to reach the keys, and I was playing ‘Jesus Loves Me' with both hands. That's how you know it's a God thing—it's just a miracle. It's one of those things that God does that's totally unexplainable, and yet, He can do all the things. His ways are not our ways.” - Gordon Mote “Pretty much every day of my life, my morning routine is to get my cup of coffee, get in my office, and just start my day in the Word—trying to be open-minded, open hearted…just hear what God is saying to me.” - Gordon Mote “When you have the hope of Christ in your life, you're able to live that and share that with others—now more than ever.” - Gordon Mote “People say they love you all the time, but I don't know of anyone who proved it any more than Jesus did on the cross. So I'm very grateful for that and grateful that He allows me to share the gospel in all the ways that He does.” - Gordon Mote Guest's Links Gordon Mote's website Gordon Mote's Facebook Gordon Mote's Instagram Gordon Mote's Twitter Resources Mentioned in This Episode Alabama School for the Blind Jacksonville State University Belmont University Lee Greenwood Tanya Tucker Trisha Yearwood Alan Jackson Josh Turner Darius Rucker Brad Paisley James Taylor Lionel Richie Bob Seger Alabama George Strait Steven Curtis Chapman Chris Tomlin Matthew West Connect with Sally Lloyd-Jones Jesus Storybook Bible Facebook Jesus Storybook Bible Instagram Sally's website Sally's Facebook Sally's Instagram *Episode produced by Four Eyes Media*
