Alejandro Martínez a.k.a. NANO comenzó su actividad en la vida nocturna en el año 1998 como especialista en iluminación automatizada en los club más cotizadas para esa década en Venezuela. En el 2002 , su gran pasión por la música no tardaría en marcar el inició de su profesión como DJ PRODUCER . Dentro de su trayectoria, NANO se ha dedicado a pinchar en varias locaciones y fiestas renombradas, por medio de las cuales ha tenido la oportunidad de compartir personalmente con grandes DJS internacionales, entre ellos, Cedric Gervais, Judge Jules, Henry Cullen y Oscar G, Sergio Fernandez, Chris Soul, Eric Entrena. NANO es un asiduo autodidacta que a raíz del tiempo y la práctica ha logrado la producción de la música electrónica, inclinando su estilo por los géneros del House y Deep House principalmente. Además, que se ha dado a conocer por caracterizar sus Live Set con el uso de un software, Ableton Live. En el año 2006, se integra al Colectivo Fusiblelive.com, que a su vez posee un programa en la radio del Ateneo de Caracas, 100.7 FM. Als solche gehen sie angemessen verspielt und gewitzt zu Werke, was die Musik betrifft. Zuletzt nachzuhören auf ihrer (nach zwei Alben 2021 und 2023) Ende Februar erschienenen EP "Fatamorgana": Zu Bewegung anregende Ohrwürmer wie der Titeltrack oder das nicht minder eingängige "Peaches" versetzen mit ihren Latin-Rhythmen das innere Ohr direkt in den einst von Wham! besungenen "Club Tropicana", während der ein wenig an Milky Chance erinnernde lakonische Gesang genau die richtige Dosis Melancholie beisteuert. "Musik für Momente, in denen Realität und Fantasie ineinander übergehen. Ein Lied, das nach Sommer klingt, nach einem süßen, kurzen Augenblick, den man immer wieder erleben möchte" findet sich hingegen der gelungenen Selbstbeschreibung nach in "Fruit Machine", während der akustische Bonustrack "Dreaming Of Animals Crossing" der Band zufolge "einen kleinen, intimen Vorausblick" darauf gibt, wohin die Reise von Mar Malade in der Zukunft gehen könnte. In der Gegenwart oder besser: ganz jungen Vergangenheit ist beziehungsweise war das Duo gerade auf großer Tour, die am 10. März in Nürnberg begann und nach erfolgreichen Gastspielen in unter anderem Wien, Stuttgart, Amsterdam, Hamburg sowie vielen Auftritten mehr am morgigen Freitag ihren großen Abschluss im Berliner Columbia Theater feiert. Heute Abend stimmen uns Alexander und Michèl nicht nur mit einem kleinen Live-Set auf der Bühne des studioeins schon mal musikalisch darauf ein, sondern geben auch im Interview Einblicke in Gewesenes und noch Kommendes – wie zum Beispiel ihr für September geplantes nächstes Album.
