In addition, he has published extensively on Dante's reception in the fourteenth and twentieth centuries, on medieval Italian culture and literature (in particular, Cavalcanti, Petrarch, and Boccaccio), on modern Italian literature and culture, on Pasolini, on Italian cinema, and on Italo-Polish cultural relations. In this episode, we talk about Dante's Divine Comedy. We start by discussing the original title. We talk about the progression through hell, purgatory, and paradise. We discuss the roles of Virgil and Beatrice. We talk about the place of Dante in the history of Western literature. Finally, we discuss why an atheist would like The Divine Comedy.--A HUGE THANK YOU TO MY PATRONS/SUPPORTERS: PER HELGE LARSEN, BERNARDO SEIXAS, ADAM KESSEL, MATTHEW WHITINGBIRD, ARNAUD WOLFF, TIM HOLLOSY, HENRIK AHLENIUS, ROBERT WINDHAGER, RUI INACIO, ZOOP, MARCO NEVES, COLIN HOLBROOK, PHIL KAVANAGH, SAMUEL ANDREEFF, FRANCIS FORDE, TIAGO NUNES, FERGAL CUSSEN, HAL HERZOG, NUNO MACHADO, JONATHAN LEIBRANT, JOÃO LINHARES, STANTON T, SAMUEL CORREA, ERIK HAINES, MARK SMITH, JOÃO EIRA, TOM HUMMEL, SARDUS FRANCE, DAVID SLOAN WILSON, YACILA DEZA-ARAUJO, ROMAIN ROCH, YANICK PUNTER, CHARLOTTE BLEASE, NICOLE BARBARO, ADAM HUNT, PAWEL OSTASZEWSKI, NELLEKE BAK, GUY MADISON, GARY G HELLMANN, SAIMA AFZAL, ADRIAN JAEGGI, PAULO TOLENTINO, JOÃO BARBOSA, JULIAN PRICE, HEDIN BRØNNER, FRANCA BORTOLOTTI, GABRIEL PONS CORTÈS, URSULA LITZCKE, SCOTT, ZACHARY FISH, TIM DUFFY, SUNNY SMITH, JON WISMAN, WILLIAM BUCKNER, LUKE GLOWACKI, GEORGIOS THEOPHANOUS, CHRIS WILLIAMSON, PETER WOLOSZYN, DAVID WILLIAMS, DIOGO COSTA, ALEX CHAU, CORALIE CHEVALLIER, BANGALORE ATHEISTS, LARRY D. Ti sei mai chiesto come è nata la lingua italiana? Come Nasce l'Italiano? Città come Napoli (Neapolis, "città nuova" in greco), Siracusa e Taranto erano città greche. I Primi Documenti in Volgare Italiano (IX – XII secolo) Il Placito Capuano (960 d.C.)

Learn Italian with LearnAmo - Impariamo l'italiano insieme!

✓Lui/Egli è arrivato in ritardo. Come Complemento Oggetto Ho visto lui ieri sera. ✓Ho visto egli ieri sera. ✗ (SBAGLIATO!) ✗ (SBAGLIATO!) Dopo il Verbo Essere per Identificare Qualcuno Sei tu? No, sono lui! ✓Sei tu? No, sono egli! ✗ (SBAGLIATO!)
