Mike emphasizes the significance of direct communication, gaining buy-in from the team, and spending time with high-potential team members. He also shares his experiences with mentorship, the impact of coaching, and lessons learned from both successful and challenging situations. Ensure that all team members understand and are aligned with the direction and goals of the team.Adapt and Implement Systems: Leaders and managers should have a system or process in place that can be tailored and personalized by team members to suit their strengths and styles.Direct Approach: When facing issues like lack of motivation or performance, address the situation directly and honestly. This can help uncover the root causes and foster trust.Mentor and Learn:*Having a mentor and observing both good and bad practices from other leaders is invaluable. It provides guidance and helps in refining your leadership approach.Celebrate Wins, Own Failures: Always celebrate the achievements of the team and take responsibility for failures. This builds trust and morale within the team.Quote of the Show:“The best salespeople I know, the best sales professionals I work with, they have a system, a process in place because it's a control, it's a baseline. It's something that you can measure from and figure out how to get better.” - Mike SadlerLinks:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelwsadler/ Website: https://www.similarweb.com/corp/contact-us/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=li Link to Ted Lasso video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S16b-x5mRA Link to Pavillion https://www.joinpavilion.com/ Pavilion is fueled by an international community of sales, marketing, success, and RevOps leaders from the world's fastest growing companies. Mike Sadler is a believer - both in God, and the power of God's Word, the Bible. When he reads it, he prays, and believes that God will reveal to and in him what He wants for Mike's life...and Mike believes that is available to every Christian. His is a walk of faith, and he gets excited when he sees how the Lord touches those that hear his program.

Mike Sadler is a dynamo of God's joy and passion for the Gospel. And it is that very Gospel message that drives him beyond his job for the State of Florida - to involvement in radio ministry in his off-time in Central Florida. Currently on the Shepherd stations in Ocala and Gainesville, and another station in Perry, FL, Mike is seeing results in this radio ministry, evidenced by the changed lives of his listeners - which include a young woman in area prison who listened and responded to the Lord.

In today’s discussion we are joined by the beautiful, loving, gracious Mrs. Karen Sadler. Karen is the leader of the Michael Sadler Foundation and beloved mother of my friend and teammate, Mike Sadler. Mike’s extraordinary life was abruptly halted when he died in a tragic car accident in Wisconsin on July 23, 2016. At the time, he was volunteering at a kicking camp to mentor young players. His commitment to helping others, contributing to community and embracing his love of family, friends, and society was constant. He lived his life with impeccable character. Only after his death did we realize the tens of thousands of lives he affected because of his integrity and the way he chose to live life. Michael earned unparalleled recognition in academics and athletics. At MSU he earned a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a master's degree in Public Policy. He was an All-American as well as the first-ever, four-time Academic All American in MSU history. Michael was a member of the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Class of 2014 and a William V. Campbell trophy finalist. He was awarded the Big Ten Conference Medal of Honor in 2014 for outstanding athletic and academic achievement. Awards that Mike received are now being renamed in his honor. Michael was proud to be a Spartan and was excited to be entering Stanford Law School. We will be hearing from Karen today to give her a platform that will raise the awareness and reach of Mike’s foundation, and to get a better feel into who Mike was and the impact he made on so many of us, and still does to this day. Please take a listen to what Karen shared with me in our conversation on the Podcast above, and check out the organization’s WEBSITE (MICHAELSADLERORGANIZATION.ORG) and TWITTER (@SADLER_3) for information to how you can help this amazing effort. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
