Our guest in this episode is Debra Eckerling, a joyful goal strategist, award-winning author, and mastermind behind the DEB Method for simplified goal setting. Deb's mission is to make goal pursuit contagious and fun, inspiring everyone to move toward what truly lights them up by connecting their goals to genuine passion. In her lively chat with host Jürgen Strauss, Deb shares her contagious enthusiasm for creating an authentic roadmap to success—one that begins with self-awareness, celebrates every win, and leans into the magic of community.Key points discussed include:* Building Goals on Authentic Passion: Deb emphasizes that meaningful goals must stem from self-discovery, not “shoulds”—what excites you is what sustains you!* Celebrating Wins to Fuel Motivation: She encourages daily recognition of even small achievements, using a “win list” to keep momentum sparkly and strong.* Harnessing Community & Boundaries: Deb champions networking as a source of mutual delight and support, while also gracefully setting boundaries to stay mission-aligned.This episode is a delightful boost for anyone craving more joy, clarity, and connection on their goal-getting journey!Listen to the podcast to find out more.Show Notes From This Episode with Debra Eckerling, The DEB MethodIgniting Joyful Goal Setting: The Deb Eckerling ApproachToday, I'm delighted to dive into a radiant conversation with Debra Eckerling, goal strategist, workshop leader, and author on a mission to make goal setting as joyful and contagious as laughter. From the get-go, Deb's energy simply bubbles over, transforming what many might consider a dry subject into a dynamic, celebratory experience. It's this passion that underpins her signature DEB Method—a method rooted in simplicity, authenticity, and genuine joy.Deb believes that setting and getting goals shouldn't feel like another chore on the to-do list. Instead, it ought to invigorate us, spark creativity, and become a party everyone wants to attend. By infusing goal setting with enthusiasm and a sense of celebration, Deb empowers others to find delight and meaning in each step toward their dreams. The Foundation of Authentic Goals: Knowing What You WantOne of Deb's core beliefs is that successful goal setting starts with true self-awareness. She observes that all too often, people pursue goals that aren't genuinely theirs—falling into the “shoulds” handed down by others or dictated by circumstance. As she wisely puts it: “You can't get what you want unless you know what that is.” This insight, though deceptively simple, lies at the heart of her philosophy.Deb shares how, both in her own journey and in her coaching and workshops, she's seen people transform simply by reconnecting with what brings them joy. She encourages us to pause, reflect, and ask ourselves not what others expect us to do, but what genuinely lights us up from within. This intentional approach lays the groundwork for goals that are rooted in authenticity—goals that inspire commitment and create lasting fulfillment.Transforming Obligations into OpportunitiesWhat about those times when you're stuck in a job or obligation that isn't your passion? Deb offers a gentle, practical perspective. Not everyone can immediately leap away from the day-to-day things that don't light them up, and she's quick to acknowledge the realities—bills, families, and the necessities of life. But even within these constraints, there's space for joy.Deb proposes finding “a hit of joy” on the side, whether that's a creative project, a side hustle, or simply an activity that brings happiness. By letting these joyful pursuits fuel your spirit, you bring lightness into all areas of your life. Sometimes, these passion projects might even become a pathway to something bigger, but at the very least, they help make the less exciting responsibilities a bit more palatable.Building Your North Star: The DEB Method UnpackedAt the center of Deb's approach is her namesake DEB Method—Determine your mission, Explore your options, Brainstorm your path. The process begins with self-exploration, inviting you to visualize the life you want and craft both current and future bios, shaping your direction with clarity and intention. As Deb illustrates, this isn't just about dreamy thinking—it's about building a foundation, a “North Star,” that keeps your actions anchored and purposeful. The next steps encourage curiosity and creativity: exploring your options and then brainstorming the actionable steps to get there. By breaking down even big, ambitious goals into tangible, joyful pieces, Deb removes the intimidation and opens the door to real progress. It's a framework that honors both vision and practicality, always guided by what lights you up.Boundaries and Saying Yes to YourselfOf course, following your true path also means learning to say “no”—sometimes a gentle “not now”—to opportunities that don't align with your goals or mission. Deb's approach to boundaries is compassionate and generous: every “no” to something that isn't a fit is a “yes” to yourself and an invitation for someone else to shine in that space. She offers practical scripts and encouragement to help you navigate these choices without guilt or fear of missing out. By trusting your North Star, you make space for the opportunities that truly resonate, while giving others the gift of stepping into their own “yes.” It's about honoring yourself and your journey—without closing doors or burning bridges.Celebrating Wins and Fueling MotivationDeb is a champion of celebration, weaving it into every step of the goal-getting journey. She reminds us that too often, we get caught up in the slog of progress, forgetting to honor the moments of achievement along the way. Whether it's a tiny step forward or a major milestone, celebrating wins infuses you with the motivation to keep going. Her suggestion to keep a daily “win list” is deceptively powerful. Writing down one to three things you accomplished each day—even if it's just “I made it through”—builds an archive of positivity and progress. When doubt or fatigue creeps in, that list becomes a wellspring of encouragement, a reminder that you are, indeed, moving forward. From Passion to Action: Embracing Community and Moving ForwardFinally, no one achieves their dreams in isolation. Deb celebrates the magic of community—whether it's through goal groups, masterminds, or informal support networks. Sharing your wins, articulating your needs, and enthusiastically supporting others build an environment where success is magnetic and contagious. In Deb's world, action is iterative, fueled by passion and uplifted by others. She urges us to gift ourselves the time to discover what makes us unique, turn that spark into practical steps, and seek out the company of those who will cheer us on. After all, we are all part of a bigger ecosystem of possibility—and when we help one another rise, everyone wins. Conclusion: Your Invitation to Celebrate and ActDebra Eckerling's approach to goal setting is a vibrant invitation: bring more joy, authenticity, and connection into your journey. Start your own win list today. Write down those small victories. Reflect on what truly lights you up. And remember, whether you're taking your very first step or well on your way, celebrating your wins and building supportive connections will propel you forward. Let's make goal setting a party we all want to attend—one filled with laughter, passion, and purpose. Your goals are yours to discover and achieve. Keep moving, keep celebrating, and let your light shine! The Buzz - Our Innovation RoundHere are Deb's answers to the questions of our innovation round. Listen to the conversation to get the full scoop.* No. 1 thing to be more innovative – Listen to your inner voice because you already know the answers—you just need to ask yourself the right questions.* Best thing for new ideas – Engage in activities like cooking or having conversations, as they allow your mind to wander and help generate creative ideas.* Favourite resource – Tap into your community and network, asking questions and allowing others the opportunity to help you as a shared gift.* Keep project/client on track – Set realistic deadlines while respecting your own calendar, making appointments with yourself and treating them as commitments just like those with others.* Differentiate – Reflect through journaling or ask others what makes you unique, then fully own and enthusiastically lean into that quality.ActionDeb encourages you to start a daily win list. Each day, take a minute to write down one, two, or three things you accomplished or that went well—then refer back to your list whenever you need motivation or a reminder of your progress.Reach OutYou can reach out and thank Deb by connecting with her on social media at @thedebmethod everywhere, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Matt Venturi, Founder and CEO of ClearingBid, Inc., is changing that. With decades of Wall Street experience, he saw firsthand how outdated systems and entrenched practices created barriers for smaller investors. Now, he's pioneering a platform that levels the playing field, allowing everyone to participate in IPOs through their brokers, breaking down long-standing financial barriers."What we're really doing is allowing everybody to come in at that IPO price and be able to have their order seen and recognized," Matt explained. Traditionally, Wall Street has prioritized its biggest institutional clients, giving them first access to newly issued stock at a discounted price, while retail investors are left to buy shares in the secondary market at inflated prices. ClearingBid is disrupting this system by introducing transparency, connectivity, and inclusion—core values that drive the company's mission. For companies going public, ClearingBid offers a revolutionary approach to capital raising. Rather than relying solely on institutional investors, companies can now cast a wider net, tapping into affinity investor groups and everyday market participants. This shift not only democratizes access but also builds a more engaged and loyal shareholder base. Matt pointed to Reddit's IPO as a cautionary tale: "Only 7% of that offering ended up going to Reddit users—93% went to the big institutions. Those who wanted in on the IPO were left buying shares later at higher prices."Beyond its innovation in IPOs, ClearingBid is proving the power of regulated investment crowdfunding. The company raised $5 million from 3,900 investors in a campaign that far exceeded expectations. "At first, I wasn't sure it was the right approach for us, but it turned out to be an incredibly positive experience," Matt shared. "Our investors aren't just backers—they're evangelists. They believe in our mission and help us spread the word."With the success of its crowdfunding campaign and its game-changing IPO platform, ClearingBid is poised to shake up Wall Street. By opening access to IPOs for all investors, Matt Venturi isn't just leading a company—he's leading a movement.tl;dr:* Matt Venturi is revolutionizing the IPO market by making it accessible to retail investors through ClearingBid.* Traditional IPOs favor institutional investors, but ClearingBid aims to create a more inclusive and transparent system.* Matt raised $5 million via regulated investment crowdfunding, demonstrating the power of affinity investors.* His superpower, passion and conviction, fuels his ability to challenge industry norms and drive meaningful change.* Entrepreneurs can learn from Matt's success by mastering fundamentals, rallying support, and leading with enthusiasm. How to Develop Passion and Conviction As a SuperpowerMatt Venturi's superpower is passion and conviction. Throughout his career, from Wall Street to entrepreneurship, he has harnessed these qualities to push forward transformative change in the financial industry. "You have to be passionate about what you do," Matt said. "When you're speaking to something that you truly believe in, that conviction gives you the confidence to go toe-to-toe with the best in the industry."One of the most compelling stories that illustrates Matt's passion occurred as he worked to launch ClearingBid. Many skeptics doubted whether he could challenge Wall Street's entrenched system of IPO allocations, questioning if a more inclusive approach could truly work. But instead of backing down, he leaned into his conviction, tirelessly advocating for a system that allows retail investors to participate in IPOs at the same terms as institutional players. His relentless drive led to a $5 million crowdfunding raise and the launch of a platform poised to redefine capital markets. For those looking to develop passion and conviction as strengths, Matt offers key insights:* Master the Fundamentals – A strong foundation in your field provides the confidence to take bold steps.* Surround Yourself with Supporters – Find a team and a community that believes in your mission.* Be a Cheerleader – Lead with enthusiasm, especially in tough times.* Welcome Skepticism – Use criticism as fuel to refine and strengthen your approach.* Celebrate Wins, Learn from Setbacks – Resilience is essential for maintaining conviction over the long haul.By following Matt Venturi's example and advice, you can make passion and conviction a skill. With practice and effort, you could make it a superpower that enables you to do more good in the world.Remember, however, that research into success suggests that building on your own superpowers is more important than creating new ones or overcoming weaknesses. You do you!Guest ProfileMatt Venturi (he/him):Founder & CEO, ClearingBid, Inc.About ClearingBid, Inc.: ClearingBid is the world's first and only IPO network. Part 3: The Confidence Equation: Building Resilience and Owning Your WinsThis episode explores how to recognize your achievements, combat imposter syndrome, and step into opportunities with confidence. It's about resilience and learning to see yourself as a leader, even when doubt creeps in.Key TakeawaysImposter Syndrome Isn't Truth: Doubts often stem from self-imposed narratives, not reality. Recognizing this is the first step in overcoming them.Celebrate Every Win: Whether big or small, recognizing your achievements helps build confidence and momentum in your career.Zoom Out for Perspective: When doubt creeps in, take a moment to reflect on past accomplishments and remind yourself of the impact you've made. The Power of Community: Surrounding yourself with a supportive team and leaning into professional networks can be a game changer for growth and resilience. You're Not Alone: The challenges you face are shared by many in higher ed, and acknowledging this can be a powerful motivator to keep going.Episode SummaryHow Do You Step Up When You Don't Feel Ready? Erin shares her experience transitioning from a graduate assistant role to a full-time leadership position in higher ed during the uncertainty of the pandemic. Despite imposter syndrome, she embraced the challenge by asking questions, leveraging relationships, and trusting her ability to learn on the job. Shelby reflects on taking initiative early in her career, highlighting a guest sourcing project that became her first major leadership moment. Both emphasize that "ready" is a moving target, and growth often happens when you take a leap of faith. How Do You Handle Imposter Syndrome? Erin explains how imposter syndrome stems from internal narratives and emphasizes the importance of reframing these doubts. Celebrating every win, big or small, helps shift focus from what you lack to what you've accomplished. Shelby adds that unrealistic expectations often fuel self-doubt, and balancing ambition with self-compassion is critical. Both agree that silencing imposter syndrome requires acknowledging your progress and embracing your humanity. Why Is It Hard to Celebrate Wins in Higher Ed? The fast-paced nature of higher ed marketing often makes it difficult to pause and reflect on successes. Shelby shares her experience managing a live podcasting project during the AMA conference, highlighting how quickly her team shifted focus to upcoming projects without celebrating the milestone. Erin points out that the long lead times in higher ed campaigns often delay the gratification of seeing results. Both stress the importance of taking time to reflect on wins, especially in a team-oriented industry. How Do You Stay Grounded When Doubts Arise? Shelby shares her strategy of “zooming out,” taking time to reflect on her broader impact and revisiting personal tokens of encouragement like notes from students she's taught. Erin emphasizes the importance of surrounding yourself with a supportive team and community. Together, they remind listeners that no one is immune to self-doubt, but with the right mindset and support, it's possible to move past it and thrive.A Note from the Hosts Erin and Shelby wrap up the series with heartfelt gratitude for the Enrollify community, celebrating the role of higher ed professionals in creating a vibrant, supportive network. Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started.  Lesley Logan 0:46  Hi, Be It babe. How are you? It's our last Friday of October. Oh my gosh, here we are. That means there's, like, what? Eight Fridays left of this year? Can you? Ah, it's going too fast. It's going too fast. So let's get into it. We got a few wins from Sonia Ahmed and I want to just like this will be the wins for today, because this girl has been consistently kicking some ass, and I don't know that I'm doing the order that her wins happened, but she also made a very big move this year. She's an agency member some of my eLevate grads, and I think celebrating her at this time is a really good thing. And then we'll do one of my wins, I remember we like to share your win. So Sonia said I've put a challenging month behind me. Through those challenges, I found some clarity on how I want to take my business forward. You know when you've heard it 20 times, well, I feel like I've just started to finally things into action. Thanks to talks with LL and charging my worth for the new part of my business and I feel good about it. I wrote my first article with the support of from the amazing Roxy and Rachel Piper. Roxy Menzies was on the pod, by the way, and she's a coach inside agency so is Rachel Piper, had a fabulous Thai massage with a girlfriend today, followed by a coffee catch up, spending quality time with close friends during the week despite a very busy schedule. Another win from Sonia. This is from the summer. Presented at the OPC summer camp workshop, exhilarating, petrifying and so much fun all at once. Loved it. Completely big admin steps towards moving across the seas, including booking our one way tickets. We accepted an offer on our home, daughter has only one exam left out of 25, went on for the most fabulous trip to Croatia with my closest girlfriends in an absolute blast. I can do hard stuff all my own and I'm able to achieve what I've put my mind to. I grew up looking to others to lead the way, not believing myself. I'm finally seeing that I am capable and can be the leader of my own path. I mean, Sonia, I think you just wrote the mantra for today and we have one more from her. So here we go. I'm not even sure how to sum this up, but I wanted to make a point of turning it into my wins. Thursday was my last day for my business operating in the UK. It hasn't quite hit me yet. I'm used to being busy and filling my days with clients or anything relating to my biz, so next week will feel strange, but I also feel I also welcome this new chapter, and it is a much needed break from my teaching. As the final days with my clients went by, I have my heartfelt thank yous and a few little gifts along the way from people. The best part is what clients wrote in their cards. It was so special to me and means more than any material thing anyone could give me. However, I will thoroughly enjoy the vintage moet from my poshest client. It made me realize how much we impact people's lives, how our time, expertise and energy has such a positive effect. So they can do better, live more, be happier, feel good, and they know they need it in their lives to maintain that feeling, has given me a fresh perspective, and now I cannot wait to start my new life in Australia. I don't doubt there will be many wobbles along the way, but I trust that anything worth doing isn't easy, will take time to build trust in peoples again, but I know now, thanks to all of you, that I can do it. So thanks agency family for being so goddamn awesome for doing what you do. Lesley Logan 3:53  So you guys, I don't know if you have a big move happening this year or next year, or maybe just like a big life change, but I hope that Sonia's wins really help give you in some inspiration that you can do hard things, and there are scary things, but also you're going to be able to do it. And she's showing these as wins. And I think what if we all celebrated some of the things we're scared of a little bit more, the things that like, oh, I'm really scared about this. I'm going to celebrate this as a win. I am facing something I'm scared of. So thank you, Sonia, and we can't even wait to start hearing your wins out of Australia. Lesley Logan 4:28  All right, now for one of my wins, I said it last week that randomly, I think intentionality is going to be the theme of the month for my wins, but I am really proud in celebrating how intentional I am being for the sixth deck, uh, flash cards, so it's the accessories deck. I've been really nervous for this deck. I've been, you know, not stalling, because I'm still on track to do it. Although there was a time when we thought I could do two decks a year, that stat stopped after the Cadillac deck. So that was three decks ago. But been a little nervous, because this deck has a lot of different things in it, and it's not exercises I do all the time, and part of me wanted to procrastinate on this deck a little bit longer, and we scheduled the photo shoot, and I was going to be gone for three weeks of the six weeks before the shoot, and that could be really scary. It's like, am I gonna be ready? And I'm not talking photo shoot ready, like how I look. I'm talking about the strength in stamina and stability to do the exercise that's ready, because these exercises are really difficult to do, and you need to be ready for them to take a photo shoot in them, and so but what I'm really proud of is I made a list of all the exercises for this deck that I could do while I was on my retreat, and while I was in Thailand, while I was on a plane, even, like, what could I do so I could keep those in my body, so that when I got back, I could focus on the other exercises that I couldn't do when I was on the road, the ones where the accessories weren't always an option, and I'm just celebrating that I did it. I did it. I did what I said I was gonna do. I did the best I could. Was it perfect? No, but I did it. And I'm really celebrating how proud I am about the intentionality I have about this final deck. It's a beast, it's unique, it's different, and I can't wait to see it come to fruition. That'll be a year from now, but maybe not a full year from now, but it feels like it'll be about at least nine months from now. So if you have something you're working on, and you're in the middle and you're in process, and you're being intentional, you want to celebrate that, because you don't want to wait until the thing is over to celebrate all the efforting you did to get there, just like Sonia. So what I, don't you love how thing works out? Just works out. So you guys, what are you going to celebrate in your life? We want to know. Send in to the Be It pod so that we can celebrate you. You'll hear it on a podcast, and who knows, it might be on a day that you need to hear it. Lesley Logan 6:51  All right, here is your mantra. There is something in this world that only I can do. That is why I'm here. There is something in this world that only I can do and that is why I'm here. There is something this world that only I can do, and that is why I'm here. All right, my amazing listener, you are freaking awesome. I adore you. And until next time, Be It Till You See It. Lesley Logan 7:16  That's all I got for this episode of the Be It Till You See It Podcast. In this episode of Coach2Scale, Matt interviews Mike Sadler, the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Americas at SimilarWeb. They discuss common myths in sales leadership, such as the misconception that cold calling is dead and the importance of having a system and process in place. Mike emphasizes the significance of direct communication, gaining buy-in from the team, and spending time with high-potential team members. He also shares his experiences with mentorship, the impact of coaching, and lessons learned from both successful and challenging situations.  Takeaways: Communication is Key: Ensure constant and clear communication with your team, as a lack of communication often leads to misunderstandings and assumptions of the worst.Personalized Coaching: Spend time with your team members, breaking down their performance step-by-step, and provide tailored coaching to help them improve their skills.Focus on Buy-in: Achieving team buy-in is crucial for the success of any project. Ensure that all team members understand and are aligned with the direction and goals of the team.Adapt and Implement Systems: Leaders and managers should have a system or process in place that can be tailored and personalized by team members to suit their strengths and styles.Direct Approach: When facing issues like lack of motivation or performance, address the situation directly and honestly. This can help uncover the root causes and foster trust.Mentor and Learn:*Having a mentor and observing both good and bad practices from other leaders is invaluable. It provides guidance and helps in refining your leadership approach.Celebrate Wins, Own Failures: Always celebrate the achievements of the team and take responsibility for failures. This builds trust and morale within the team.Quote of the Show:“The best salespeople I know, the best sales professionals I work with, they have a system, a process in place because it's a control, it's a baseline. It's something that you can measure from and figure out how to get better.” - Mike SadlerLinks:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelwsadler/ Website: https://www.similarweb.com/corp/contact-us/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=li Link to Ted Lasso video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S16b-x5mRA Link to Pavillion https://www.joinpavilion.com/  Pavilion is fueled by an international community of sales, marketing, success, and RevOps leaders from the world's fastest growing companies. Ways to Tune In:Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0Yb1wPzUxyrfR0Dx35ym1A Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/coach2scale-how-modern-leaders-build-a-coaching-culture/id1699901434 Google Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy50cmFuc2lzdG9yLmZtL2NvYWNoMnNjYWxlLWhvdy1tb2Rlcm4tbGVhZGVycy1idWlsZC1hLWNvYWNoaW5nLWN1bHR1cmU Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/fd188af6-7c17-4b2e-a0b2-196ecd6fdf77 Podchaser: https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/coach2scale-how-modern-leaders-5419703 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Coach2Scale CoachEm™ is the first Coaching Execution Platform that integrates deep learning technology to proactively analyze patterns, highlight the "why" behind the data with root causes, and identify the actions that will ultimately improve business results going forward.  These practical coaching recommendations for managers will help their teams drive more deals, bigger deals, faster deals and loyal customers. In this captivating installment of Shark Theory, host Baylor Barbee offers a retrospective look at his experience at the third annual Republic Title golf classic, delivering life lessons gleaned from the greens. The episode is imbued with strategic insights and personal growth narrative, drawing parallels between golf and life's essential strategies. Dive into this episode as Baylor traverses the course, not only unpacking the techniques of golf but also uncovering the profound teachings that apply to the broader game of life. Baylor reflects on the importance of having a strategy for winning, both in golf and in life, emphasizing that excelling does not always demand understanding every nuance but instead requires effective management skills.  Additionally, Baylor shares insights into the incremental nature of growth, noting how advancing from a novice to an expert involves increasingly challenging and slower progress, a metaphor resonating well with those climbing their own professional and personal mountains. Key Takeaways: Strategizing is crucial for success, whether in a friendly game of golf or pursuing life goals. Developing a plan is often better than freestyling your way through challenges. Mastery requires not only knowledge of mechanics but more importantly, excellent management of circumstances and resources. Growth is often incremental; the closer you get to being the best, the harder and more time-consuming it is to progress further. Building genuine connections with people who seek to help you without expecting anything in return is invaluable. Celebrating personal growth and progress, regardless of the standing or outcome, is essential for recognizing one's achievements and effort. Notable Quotes: "Don't just freestyle life, right?" "What's more important in life, business and leadership, is how you manage things." "Growth is not exponential. The better you get, the harder it becomes and the more practice it takes to move up just a little bit." "The litmus test of character is like, does this person have my best interest at heart, even if there's nothing I can do for them now in return?" "If you're growing, celebrate the wins, celebrate the growth."

Tune in for practical tips and advice to help you stay on track with your finances and reach your goals. Hosting Today: Hey, I'm Ashley Patrick, a personal finance expert and founder of Budgets Made Easy. I help busy moms create systems to save money and pay off debt so they can reach their big dreams faster and easier. I was able to pay off $45,000 in just 17 months including $25,000 in student loans in just 10 months. I'm a Master Financial Coach and have a bachelor's degree in psychology and will help you get to the root of your money problems. Since my journey started I have been featured on Fox Business, Yahoo! Finance, Food Network, USA TODAY, MSN, CNBC, NerdWallet, and many others. “So, I want you to check in with your spending. Make sure your money is going where you want it to go. It's hard to reach those financial goals if it's not right, like you need it to go to your goals. So, if it's going to fast food, if it's going to Amazon, and if you're not actually looking at the numbers, you're not going to estimate it in a realistic manner if you're just doing it in your head. So, you need to actually check in with your spending, track your spending, see where your money is going so that you can correct it and send it to where you actually want it to go.” - Ashley Patrick Do you need time, space, and accountability to take action on the things you KNOW you should be doing, such as budgeting so you can actually pay off debt, save money, make a meal plan, and all the other things that keep falling off your to-do list? Would you thrive in a supportive community of other busy moms who understand what you're going through and are working to achieve similar financial goals? She critiques the coaching industry's focus on self-promotion over client outcomes and calls for a shift toward value delivery and client growth. Kimberly discusses the pitfalls of egoic goals and the importance of humility and supporting others' successes. She also touches on the challenges women face in the industry and the balance between financial success and service. The episode concludes with a call to spread positivity and connect through social media for a greater impact. Enjoy, sovereigns! As a photographer myself, trying to make a living at this, I don't want to sit here and advertise the people who are, in my mind, disrespecting the industry and themselves, more importantly, with their lower pricing." - Bonnie"I really try to keep my eye on is like, yes, this website doesn't have 3000 photographers, like I would love for it to have, but we have a little over 1100 right now and every single week we're adding more. And those are all little mini wins in and of themselves." - Bonnie"I think a lot of it stems from this kind of antique idea that the men go to work and they make the money and the women stay at home and are doing what I see as one of the hardest, loneliest jobs in the world of being a stay at home parent and they don't make money from that." - BonnieConnect with Bonniehttps://www.happilyeverphoto.comhttps://facebook.com/happilyeverphotohttps://instagram.com/happilyeverphotocompany

hi hi hi! in this episode, we dissect the different ways that we've celebrated accomplishments as children of immigrants versus some of the culture shocks we've faced when other groups celebrate. whether it's putting the cap and gown on our immigrant parents when we graduate or buying them a house with our big boy jobs, it's just interesting to see the stark disparity in celebration. even with all these wins, it still doesn't feel like we get acknowledged and appreciated for our hard work as children of immigrants because success was always expected. buckle up because we got a lot to talk about in this one. keep tabs on us: our instagram: https://www.instagram.com/difficultish/ mohuya's instagram: https://www.instagram.com/labyrinthave/ mashnun's instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mashnunmunir/ --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/difficultish/support
