The SEC is historically labeled as one of the most prominent conferences in college football. The East and West divisions of the SEC have proven to be more even and fairly matched than the East and West divisions of the B1G. The BIG 12 has proven itself as a top-tier conference in CBB. It's fair to say that the majority of teams making up the BIG 12 will be contenders come March: Kansas, Kansas State, Texas, TCU, and Iowa State have made impacts in their own right to be in the conversation amongst the best. The Georgia Bulldogs outplayed the TCU Horned frogs winning their second Natty in a row, 65-7. The Horned Frogs didn't show up. The BCS has taken a back seat since the CFP has been introduced, but the truth is, BCS bowls outside of the CFP still exist, only now they're considered part of the New Years Six. Starting with the Orange Bowl, the Vols best the Clemson Tigers, 31-14. Up next in the Sugar Bowl, Bryce Young and Alabama smoked Kansas State, 45-20. For the Cotton Bowl, Tulane beats USC in a nail-biter, and in the Rose Bowl Penn State beats Utah, 35-21. The Fiesta Bowl ends in heartbreak for the Michigan Wolverines after the TCU Horned frogs win the Fiesta Bowl, 51-45. And finally in the Peach Bowl, UGA wins 42-41 against OSU after Noah Ruggles misses the winning FG as time expires. Newcomer Connor Matlock joins the GCP as the crew discusses the bowl games we've seen so far. We're balls deep into bowl season, and we couldn't be happier. In light of these bowl games, the transfer portal is more active than ever. Several transfers have been confirmed, while many players have entered the portal without a confirmed destination. The panel makes the interesting comparison between the transfer portal (CFB) to free agency (NFL). Juwan Howard makes headlines again after he was caught on camera attempting to fight a referee while shooing his own players away after they attempted to control him. Tom Izzo also gets a tech during the Spartans' latest contest against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. The important aspect to note here is that Coach Izzo was sporting an elf sweater.
