Today's Promise: 2 Corinthians 9:8 God's grace is His unmerited favor and blessing. There is nothing you can do to earn His grace. Every blessing you experience demonstrates God's grace in your life. God pours out His grace on you because He loves you. He also gives His grace for a purpose. So many people need grace. They don't need condemnation or criticism. They just need grace. Today, allow His grace to flow through you to everyone you meet.
Our lesson today is out of Psalm 23. Jim Martin shares a comforting message about the grace of God from this familiar passage. No matter what you are going through, knowing that God is pursuing you with His overflowing grace is good news for us all.

We love second chances—but what about God? Does he give second chances? In this message from the opening chapters of Zechariah we hear the good news of God’s promise to give something better than a second chance. Outline Context: no king and no temple (1:1) ‘Return to the LORD' (1:2-6) Four Scenes of Overflowing Grace (1:7-2:13) God's borderless city!
Overflow means to flow over the brim. In ancient Hebrew it literally means a river breaking over its banks and flooding the surrounding lands. When we consider overflow there is one fundamental question we must answer and that is "Is God's desire lack, insufficiency, scarcity Or is His will abundance, bountifulness and plenty"?
The Bible is clear, no one is saved by their own goodness or works, but one can only be saved by God's grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, alone. But if someone would think that they are beyond saving, because they have just lived too bad of a life, then this passages demonstrates the hope that anyone has who trusts in Christ Jesus. Because the truth of the matter is, God saves even the worst of sinners. And not only does He save sinners who trust in Christ alone for their salvation, but then he calls them into His service, to be an instrument of His glory. This was true of the Apostle Paul and it is true of us, who trust in Christ. And now that we are called into the service of our King, that service includes preaching and defending the Gospel. The Gospel of the person and work of Jesus Christ. The Gospel that was shared with us, that we would know our need of salvation and turn to Jesus alone to be saved, and so come to know God's mercy and overflowing grace. That Gospel is the message we have been entrusted with to proclaim and defend.

Our intern, Charles Argroves, brings the word of God today from 1 Timothy 1. He talks about the overflowing grace of God, from the life of Paul, and from his personal testimony on how God saved him.
Chapter 1 is all about Paul's CHARGE to Timothy and the people of God to protect the gospel from the distortions of false teachers which cause division and pride. We are charged to not only to celebrate the gospel, but so work it into our personal lives and churches that we overflow with praise as Paul did, due to God's grace overflowing in his life. This morning we look at 3 elements of the CHARGE. How to guard, be thankful, and fight.
Crouching Sin, Overflowing Grace Genesis 4:1-16 Pastor Woojin Lee
1 Timothy 1:12-20 English Standard Version (ESV)Christ Jesus Came to Save Sinners12 I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, 13 though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, 14 and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 15 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. 16 But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. 17 To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.18 This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 holding faith and a good conscience. By rejecting this, some have made shipwreck of their faith, 20 among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.English Standard Version (ESV)The Holy Bible, English Standard Version.
