Following Jesus isn't a negotiation. We don't get to set the terms, hold onto certain parts of our lives or simply swap a few habits. Jesus came for our hearts, and His invitation is to surrender everything. In this message from Matthew 22, we're reminded that the question isn't just what we believe about Jesus, but whether He is truly Lord of our lives. When we stop playing games, stop negotiating and give it all back to Him, that's where true life is found.

What happens when religion gets in the way of redemption?  In Matthew 21:23–22:14, Jesus confronts the religious leaders through three powerful parables that expose the difference between simply looking religious and truly surrendering to Him. We see that salvation cannot be earned through good works or religious activity.  The invitation to the Kingdom is extended to everyone, but we must respond with repentance, faith, and surrender to Jesus.

What does it really mean to be great in the Kingdom of God? In Matthew 20, Jesus completely redefines greatness. While the world measures success by position, possessions and power, Jesus shows us a different way. True greatness begins by bending our knee to Him, enduring pain with perseverance, living under godly authority and humbling ourselves to serve others. This message challenges us to examine what is truly first in our lives and reminds us that proximity to Jesus, not what we produce, determines Kingdom success. Following Jesus does not promise a life of comfort, but He faithfully walks with us through the pain and uses it to shape us. Jesus Himself is our ultimate example. He did not come to be served, but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many. In His Kingdom, greatness is not found by climbing over others to reach the top. It is found by lowering ourselves so we can lift others up.

What if the greatest obstacle to experiencing God's grace isn't your past, but your sense of entitlement? In Matthew 20, Jesus tells the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard, revealing a powerful truth about the Kingdom of God. Salvation is never something we earn through our efforts. It is a gift freely given because of the generosity of our Heavenly Father. Whether you've followed Jesus for decades or surrendered your life to Him today, every believer stands on the same foundation of grace. In Matthew 14, the lives of John the Baptist and Herod reveal a powerful contrast between fearing God and fearing people. What happens when evil and good seem to grow side by side in the world? What do you do when your faith is strong, but your circumstances make you question everything? Jesus heals, but He also calls us to go. In this message from Matthew 9 and 10, we see Jesus open blind eyes, heal the hurting, and remind us that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. But the miracle is not the end of the story, it is the beginning of the mission. The same Jesus who rescues us also sends us. The harvest is plentiful, the laborers are few, and faith was never meant to stay comfortable. Following Jesus means moving from being rescued to becoming part of the rescue team. Pray boldly. Choose faith over fear. If the tomb is empty, anything is possible. Jesus didn't come for the perfect. He came for the broken. In Matthew 9:9–13, Jesus calls Matthew, a hated tax collector, and everything changes. This message reminds us that no one is too far gone, no sin is too great, and Jesus is still the friend of sinners. Your past doesn't disqualify you. It's the very place Jesus meets you.

This Easter, we celebrate the greatest miracle of all — forgiveness of sin through Jesus. In Matthew 9, a group of friends does whatever it takes to get a hurting man to Jesus, believing He can change everything. What the man needed most wasn't physical healing — it was forgiveness. Jesus shows us that our greatest need is not self-improvement but a Savior. Because of His life, death and resurrection, we are forgiven, free from shame and made new. There is more grace in Jesus than sin in us. If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, today could be your day. And if you have trusted Him but never been baptized, today is your day to take that step.

Storms are inevitable, but fear doesn't have to be. In Matthew 8, Jesus reminds us that following Him will cost us everything — but He is faithful through it all. Even when life feels uncertain, overwhelming or out of control, we can trust that God is still sovereign and still good. The same Jesus who calmed the wind and the waves is able to bring peace to the storms we face today. God never wastes a hurt. 

Do you need a miracle? In Matthew 8, Jesus meets people in their deepest places of need and demonstrates His authority over sickness, brokenness and darkness. Through these encounters, we see that faith is not about having all the answers— it's about trusting the One who does. No matter what you are facing, Jesus invites you to come to Him with humility, bold faith and full surrender. He is still the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace and the One who makes all things new. If the tomb is empty, anything is possible.

In Matthew 7, Jesus brings the Sermon on the Mount to a powerful close by confronting one of the most important questions a person can ask: How do you know if you're saved?  This message is a clear call to reject false assurance, religious performance and self-righteousness, and instead put your full trust in Jesus. Salvation is not built on what we do for God, but on what Christ has already done for us. This sermon invites us to stop building on the sinking sand of this world and stand firmly on the unshakable rock of the gospel.

What did Jesus really mean when He said, “Judge not”? In Matthew 7, Jesus confronts the judgmental spirit that so easily takes root in our hearts and calls His followers to something better—a life marked by grace, humility, and discernment. In this message, we explore the difference between being judgmental and exercising biblical discernment, why dealing with the “log” in our own eye matters before pointing out the “speck” in someone else's, and how the grace of God transforms the way we see people. Ultimately, Jesus invites us to stop living as critics and start living as people shaped by grace. Through prayer, humility, and surrender to Christ, we can step off the broad road of pride and onto the narrow way that leads to life.

In Matthew 6, Jesus warns us to beware of practicing our righteousness to be seen by others, reminding us that with God it's not just what we do—it's why we do it.  Giving, praying, and fasting can either be acts of worship or subtle performances for applause, and while we all know we must repent of our wretchedness, Jesus confronts us with the deeper need to repent of religious righteousness rooted in image instead of intimacy. When the Father is our audience, generosity reorders our hearts, prayer becomes communion instead of performance, fasting trains us to say no to our flesh and yes to Jesus, and the true reward isn't recognition—it's Him. 

What if your biggest struggle isn't your behavior but your heart? In this message from Matthew 5, Jesus raises the bar from external rule-following to heart-level transformation. Anger, lust, divorce, retaliation, enemy love—He exposes what's underneath it all and shows us that righteousness isn't earned, it's received. The gospel doesn't shame us into trying harder; it gives us a new heart and compels us to live differently because Christ first loved us. Are you trying to justify yourself or are you resting in the justification of Jesus?

When are people watching your life the most? Not when everything is going well—but when you walk through difficulty with a peace that doesn't make sense. In Matthew 5:13–20, Jesus reminds us that we are not just saved by grace—we are sent with purpose. You are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world. Our lives should push back darkness and point people to Christ. So the question is: are you shining… or just sitting in the shaker?

Are you pursuing happiness—or the kind of blessing that can't be shaken? In this opening message of Matthew: Mountain to Mountain, Jesus ascends the mountain—not to give a new law, but to announce a blessing that changes everything. Through the Beatitudes, we discover that “blessed” doesn't mean comfortable, successful, or problem-free—it means anchored in the gospel, filled with a joy that circumstances can't steal. Jesus invites us to stop chasing temporary happiness and instead receive the eternal blessing that comes from knowing Him. Are you living your best life—or the blessed life only Jesus can give?

What if following Jesus isn't about learning more—but about leaving what's comfortable? Jesus begins His public ministry not from a place of striving, but from the Father's approval—and then He immediately goes to work. In Matthew 4, we see Jesus fulfill ancient prophecy, bring light into darkness, proclaim that the kingdom of heaven is here now, and call ordinary, unlikely people to join Him on a rescue mission for the world. This message challenges us to stop delaying the kingdom, to embody it by pushing back darkness with light, and to respond to Jesus' simple but costly invitation: “Follow Me.” From fishermen dropping their nets to crowds bringing their brokenness to Jesus, we're reminded that discipleship is not a spectator sport—it's a life of obedience, community, and mission.
