Today's episode is part 2 of our conversation with Nathaniel Blackburn. If you haven't listened to Part 1 which is conversation 67, I encourage you to check it out as it will give you some important perspective to what will be discussed today. Some of you may remember Nathaniel Blackburn as Nathan from MTV's The Real World: Seattle back in the late 1990's. In the first part of our conversation, Nathaniel detailed how he spiraled into addiction to drugs and alcohol after finding fame in the late ‘90's, and how God miraculously rid him of his desires for substances without treatment, and transformed him in the process. What Nathaniel hadn't understood at that point, was Jesus. We re-join our conversation with Nathaniel Blackburn as he tells us about meeting Jesus, how God called him into ministry, and how we can all find a deeper connection with God that changes everything. To learn more about True North Retreats, please visit truenorthretreats.org.For more conversations or to connect with us, please visit astrongerfaith.org.A Stronger Faith is a crowdfunded, nonprofit organization committed to pointing people toward the truth of the presence of God.If you would like to give and be a part of the fuel for expanding this work please visit astrongerfaith.org/give or text “ASFM” to 53555. Fame at the age of 21 pulled Nathaniel Blackburn into a life that filled all of his sensual and ego-driven desires. And lacking any sort of true understanding of God, it easily lead him toward destruction through addiction and the real possibility of suicide. So how does God pull someone like that into connection with Him and ultimately into a ministry? That's what Nathaniel and I talk about today. At 21 years old and a fourth-year student at Virginia Military Institute, Nathaniel Blackburn found fame when he became a cast member for MTV's The Real World: Seattle in 1998. His celebrity brought temptations that were too great to manage and spiraled him into a life of addiction that cost him everything. In conversation 67, Nathaniel details his long process of true, honest connection with God that has led him from a life of destruction into a life of compassion for others, and ministry as founder of the men's retreat ministry, True North Retreats. To learn more about True North Retreats, please visit truenorthretreats.org.For more conversations or to connect with us, please visit astrongerfaith.org.

This has been the roughest month. But still have gratitude despite it all. The Warriors are one win away from another NBA championship Top 5 NBA Dynasties PGA stars including Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson signing inclusive deals with the Saudis is shining political hypocrisy throughout the country. Move over Real World Seattle, Will Smith's slap got everyone talking about The Oscars this week. Was it staged? Did Chris Rock go too far? Was the bow placement on Amy Schumer's dress to blame?
