Today, on Notable Leaders' Radio, I speak with Tony Crescenzo, CEO of Intelligent Waves & Founder of Peak Neuro, LLC. He highlights his compelling journey from a resilient upbringing and military service to pioneering leadership insights and transformative healing with brain-training technology. In today's episode, we discuss: Remember the importance of "always do the right thing." Tony's grandfather's timeless advice served as his moral compass, guiding him through every personal and business decision. He discovered that by valuing integrity, you foster trust and build a strong, lasting reputation. See adversity as an opportunity to grow and learn. Tony's time in the military, especially the hurdles he faced as his military career came to a close, reminds us how much reputation truly matters. Welcome setbacks as moments to build character and become someone others truly respect and trust. To ease conflicts, try to understand the root of fear rather than just anger. Through his journey with anger, he learned that anger is really fear turned upside down. Embracing this awareness enabled him to transition from fear/anger to compassion and a deeper understanding of himself and others in times of challenge. Consider responding to anger with empathy—it can be a beautiful way to strengthen both your work and personal relationships. Prioritize your sleep and mental health with effective strategies. For instance, Tony saw wonderful improvements in his sleep, memory, and mood by using brainwave entrainment. Taking some proactive steps to care for yourself—such as getting good rest and keeping your mind clear—can truly make a significant difference in your happiness and productivity. Adopt the idea of "generals eat last" as your leadership guiding principle. As Tony beautifully shared, inspiring leaders always put their teams first, creating a warm environment full of trust and stability. When you focus on serving and supporting others, it gently builds loyalty and can significantly lift your team's performance. Embracing this approach can truly make your leadership journey more rewarding and fulfilling! Be open to new modalities of healing. Tony lived with PTSD for 30 years. He believed his anger and stress from his time in the military were a part of him and his life now. It wasn't until he stumbled across a new assistive technology that he learned that was not the case. It is also inspired the creation of PeakNeuro, an AI-enabled platform that uses acoustic audio-entrainment to help veterans and leaders regulate stress, get better sleep, and improve human performance overall through cognitive resilience. Is anger and or stress driving your life? If yes, check out PeakNeuro. It may be just the help you have been looking for. Send us a textTony Crescenzo, Marine Corps veteran and CEO of Intelligent Waves and Peak NeuroWhat if healing trauma didn't require endless therapy sessions or medication? Tony Crescenzo, Marine Corps veteran and CEO of Intelligent Waves and Peak Neuro, reveals a groundbreaking approach that's changing lives. After eight years in the Marines and time working undercover for Naval Investigative Service, Crescenzo battled PTSD for decades. "I was one of those veterans who goes from zero to FU in about 10 seconds," he admits with candid honesty. His journey from combat to corporate America ultimately led him to discover neuroacoustic brainwave entrainment—a technology that would transform not only his life but the lives of countless veterans, first responders, and elite athletes. The science is fascinating yet approachable. Unlike traditional psychotherapy that requires verbally processing trauma, this technology uses specific sound frequencies to entrain the brain into beneficial states. The prefrontal cortex quiets down, rumination stops, and the body processes trauma somatically rather than narratively. "You may observe the event that caused your trauma like watching a movie, but the emotion dissolves. Your body essentially digests it," Crescenzo explains. The results speak volumes. A Navy SEAL with 21 traumatic brain injuries went from three hours of fragmented sleep to six uninterrupted hours in just 30 days. Headaches disappeared, brain fog lifted, and EEG measurements showed actual neurological restructuring. Perhaps most remarkably, users don't become dependent on the technology—the brain undergoes permanent trait-level changes, eliminating the need for ongoing medication or therapy.Ready to experience this transformation yourself? The Peak Neuro app offers free trials with exercises for sleep, stress reduction, and cognitive enhancement. As Crescenzo powerfully reminds us: "If you're struggling, don't struggle alone. Whatever happened is over and your body's here, but your mind is there. Bring your mind with you and we can help you do that." Episode #124 of the Internal Comms Podcast is a joint interview with returning guest Steve Crescenzo and his business partner and wife Cindy. Together, with host Katie Macaulay, they put the world – and words – of corporate communications to rights. It's frank. It's funny. And it's full of fantastic, practical advice to help your content cut through. Together, they tackle the big IC challenges, from measurement to pushing reluctant leaders beyond ‘Well, these people will listen to me because of my job title.' Plus: the value of ‘why', the most popular question in a company-wide town hall, the smart, no-nonsense advice for creating content people want to read and how long an online article should be. But first, they banish some bad writing habits, starting with your very first sentence… If you're bored of clichés or joyless jargon, this one is for you. Garth Heckman The David Alliance TDAgiantSlayer@Gmail.com "We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another,” Luciano de Crescenzo, I would add - we will only fly as high to God as possible by which we can fly together each with our own wing and arm in arm with the other person. You don't get married for a Good Time, you get married for a long time. You don't get married to have kids, you get married to learn how not to be a kid, act like a kid, pout like a kid, complain like a kid, You don't raise kids, they raise you. For example, in a marriage, we seem to assume that just because two people get married they must love each other. In reality, people do not get married because of love but in order to learn how to love. To have love in a marriage requires that the couple have intimacy and to have intimacy the two people must psychologically and spiritually grow up and quit being children. Most couples getting married today are doing so while still in states of emotional dependency, which means the marriage is based on neurotic need and not love. To have love and intimacy in a marriage requires that both people first must become adults. * The same principles that sustain our relationship with Jesus also sustain a thriving marriage. --- ## 1. **Covenant, Not Convenience** * *Christ:* Luke 22:20 — sealed in His blood. * *Marriage:* Malachi 2:14 — a covenant before God. **Teaching Point:** Both require lifelong, unwavering faithfulness. **Discussion:** What are practical ways we can treat marriage as a covenant instead of a contract? --- ## 2. **Sacrificial Love** * *Christ:* Ephesians 5:25 — gave Himself up. * *Marriage:* Philippians 2:3–4 — putting spouse's needs first. **Teaching Point:** Real love is costly and others-focused. **Exercise:** Each spouse lists one practical sacrifice they can make this week for the other. --- ## 3. **Daily Connection** * *Christ:* John 15:4 — abiding daily. * *Marriage:* Requires intentional daily investment. **Teaching Point:** Distance grows when we neglect connection. **Reflection:** What “daily rhythms” can keep our relationship strong?

How many battles are you fighting without even being aware you're in the arena? It might seem like everything is “fine”. Sure, you had struggles, some hard times and bad luck, and things that didn't quite go your way. Many people have a story or two about the time they got fucked over BECAUSE they were doing the right thing. That boomerang can spin around and hit you when you least expect it, like it did for Tony Crescenzo.Tony grew up in a family of mechanics. Really, all the men in his family were mechanics, except for one grandfather who retired relatively young and bought a farm. They all lived in that same South Philadelphia neighborhood where the Rocky Balboa character trained for his fights with Apollo Creed. So young Tony worked Saturdays as a mechanic and Sundays on his grandfather's farm, learning the value of good, honest work.Tony's parents divorced. His mother remarried to a Navy officer and they moved to Hawaii. His stepfather's friend was an old-school Marine whose John Wayne-esque tales of service and heroism inspired young Tony to join the Marines. That's where he learned priceless lessons about teamwork, being part of something greater than yourself, and the importance of service. That's until he was assigned to NIS (which is what it was before NCIS), working in criminal investigations to bring down a paycheck scam. As the only witness for the upcoming court-martial of the accused, he soon found himself being court-martialed – and convicted – for a plethora of exaggerated charges, one of which was that he was UA (think AWOL) even though he was on an approved leave! So much for Semper Fi, right? Well, not exactly. Tony did get the conviction reversed, along with a commendation for his service and $20 for his trouble. But he decided to pivot to the private sector, working for, leading, and owning various companies and becoming a sort of “Clint Eastwood” of corporate restructuring. The thing is, his penchant for fighting was affecting every aspect of his life. Both his first and his second wives were used to Tony waking them up in the middle of the night screaming in his sleep. In his own words, he was was one of those people who goes from zero to fuck you in 10 seconds. So things weren't “fine”. It's a four-letter word. And then everything changed when he mis-Googled directions to the CIA.In a moment, when we meet Tony, he is going to give us a master class in accountability, vulnerability, and leadership including the power of meditation and an innovative method he is bringing to market for treating PTSD. As you listen, reflect on the fact that PTSD is not limited to those who have seen death and destruction on the battlefield. It comes in many different forms from triggers you might not even know.Tony's hype song is “Summer Wind” by Frank Sinatra. Crescenzo Notarile and Paris Chong discuss his work shooting nudes, with Paris acknowledging the potential for perversity and intrigue associated with the genre. Crescenzo emphasizes that all great artists start with nudes to study form, beauty, lines, and geometry, citing Picasso, Rembrandt, and Caravaggio as examples. He shares his own influences in nude photography, including Bill Brandt, Joel Peter Witkin, Helmut Newton, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Irving Penn. Crescenzo highlights the challenge of evoking emotion and avoiding cliché or vulgarity in nude photography, and mentions his own nude book and his use of infrared film to create a unique aesthetic. He also acknowledges the common observation that male photographers often shoot more female nudes than male nudes, offering reasons such as the perceived difference in beauty between the male and female form, as well as the difficulty in finding male models willing to pose nude.Show Clip from The Paris Chong Show with Crescenzo Notarilehttps://youtu.be/_vFzSFYdQLohttps://www.theparischongshow.com

17 dicembre Italiano in Podcast. Lauren's story of winning Unbound and having one of the most successful years the sport of gravel has ever seen is as impressive as it is improbable. Her comeback from a TBI is a journey through uncharted territory. Over the span of about a half dozen years, she went from being a professional road cyclist to a (very) traumatic brain injury to an intense recovery period to then earning a Masters in Public Health to next pivot to a career as a professional cyclist once again -- see, that's not the standard! But it sure is working for Lauren, so why mess with a good thing?! Even if you've never tried to paint, sing, dance, tell a story, read or write a poem, this easy-to-use guide will show you how to discover the richest relationship experience possible through simple ways of acknowledging the creative spirit that is in all of us, even in those with Alzheimer's or Dementia. If you are thinking, my loved one (or I) can't do this, consider the possibility before closing the door to what can be an experience like no other. By letting go of traditional means of interacting, you will discover unconventional ways to spend time with this person in your life through creative yet dignified shared experiences. Ep 226 - Tom Crescenzo by Bee, Chic and Chris
Chondra and Misha sit down with wonderfully talented musician and mama Tivoli Crescenzo to talk about joining her brother's high school drum line as a middle schooler, creating core memories with your kids, her best friend Casey and sibling (un)rivalry. Join the Wives as they ask a million questions about living life in the Rain Shadow of the Pacific Northwest and beg Tivoli to build them a treehouse village in her backyard.
