The Lured Up Crew is back together in person!  Adam drove 6 hours from New Hampshire to New Jersey for Community Day! The three of us put in a solid 7 hour grind session hitting 6 Lugia raids and catching 22 Shiny Bulbasaur between us. We plopped a microphone on a table and discussed our take on Community Day #3. Nothing says "fun kids cartoon" quite like a creepy magician who hypnotizes kids and lures them out to the woods, but that is what we get in Episode 40, March of the Exeggutor Squad! Due to Episode 35 (The Legend of Miniryu) being banned in the America, we completely miss Ash and the crew arriving at the Safari Zone and catching tons of Pokemon!  This leaves a MASSIVE plot hole in the storyline, as the Pokemon caught in the Safari Zone will be referenced down the road. That being said, The Bridge Bike Gang brings us classic action, suspense and emotion.  We learn the backstory behind Jesse and James, and it is just as awesome as you would hope. It has only been a few days since we recorded Lured Up Episode 5, but the world of Pokémon GO has stayed VERY busy.  19 new Raid Bosses have made their way to the meta, including Golem, Metapod, and Sableye!  We discuss the interesting roster choices, and how this shakeup will affect future gameplay. New shiny 3D models were found for the Gastly family line, leading us to believe that new shiny Pokémon may be a focus for Niantic.  2 more physical events were announced and are happening this week in Korea and Japan, and we dream about getting a Safari Zone event in New York City. “Mystery at the Lighthouse” proves to be the most unique episode of the Pokemon Anime so far.  Episode 13 takes an interesting approach to applying mechanics from the video games to the adventures of Ash and crew.  In yet another hiccup in the journey to Vermillion city, we see a new side of Ash, along with some interesting storytelling, in an episode that just doesn’t seem to fit in the current story arc.  Melissa and Ken share their feedback on the episode, as well as make sense of the new stylings to the show’s structure. Josh and Jason are joined by a very special guest - Seth Hay! Seth is the web designed responsible for making ToysForGames.com, and was invited on the show to talk about the launch of the website, the release of Dark Pit and everything else inbetween.   This week, the Toys For Games ‘Cast was severely lacking news from Skylanders SuperChargers and substantial news from Disney Infinity, although they were able to discuss the recently released story trailer for LEGO Dimensions. The conversation picks up once they get to amiibo, where the releases of Palutena and Dark Pit are discussed, as well as the Chibi-Robo packaging and the rumored-but-pretty-much-confirmed special amiibo pre-order event being held at GameStop on August 8. The possibility of a 3-pack of the retro characters Duck Hunt, Game & Watch and ROB being sold exclusively at GameStop was talked about as well. The results from the #CommunityQuestion was broken down, and of course, plenty of emails were read and responded to.
