Lured Up Podcast 347Live Streamed on - 5/22/25Publish Date - 5/27/25We are officially on the Road to GO Fest and while event news is steadily flowing in, the event calendar continues to be packed week in, week out. We have events filling the weeks, multiple events over the weekend, and longer, overarching Research that has been carrying the narrative for a few weeks. There is officially no calm before the storm. We start out with a weekly recap of gameplay including Crown Clash:Taken Over, Shadow Regigigas Raid Day, and the kick off of Final Strike: GO Battle Week. There has been plenty to do and Trainers have been given a diverse menu of gameplay options to choose from. This week brought us some really great quality of life items. First, the RSVP Planner is now live and is a great coordination tool for both in-person and remote Raids. We encourage everyone to give it a shot, simply because the only way this tool will be successful is if people are using it. We think this could make a big difference on the ground during events like Community Days. Next was the GO Fest: Jersey City Premier Access, which came and went in less than a day. Those that were able to snag it got some of the best deals ever on in-game consumables along with some great Jersey City perks like lockers and private bathrooms. The event calendar is continuing to be packed with things to do, including some Summer Merriment companion events that will be happening over the IRL GO Fest weekends. THree weeks of diverse event gameplay and new GMAX Battles will keep EVERYONE super busy and out on the gameboard. Definitely no calm before the storm here. Finally we take a look at the Save the Dates for next season and the incredible Road Trip Event that is coming to Europe. We will need to follow along with our English friends from the Incensed! Podcast to share in the fun, as the Pokémon GO Truck travels across Europe bringing a mini-Safari style event in tow. Lured Up Podcast 346: Potty TrainingLive Streamed on - 5/7/2025Publish Date - 5/9/2025The news that Adam has been dreading was finally announced. Remote Max Battles will soon be a thing, at the seemingly last bastion of IRL group gameplay is under attack. There are emotions and sentiments covering the spectrum of reasoning from hyper excitement, to fears and uncertainty. Time will tell what the real world impact of this week's news will be, but in any case, this is a spicy one.We start off with our weekly recap of gameplay covering the Growing Up event and how egg events can take the wind out of wild encounter sails. It almost seemed that if you weren't laser focused on hatching Mime Jr, that there wasn't too much going on. Luckily, Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day brought the Community Out to chase a regional, giving new Trainers a taste of the Australian Pokémon. This weekend will be a triple threat, with the start of Crown Clash which overlaps with DMAX Suicune Max Battle Weekend AND Pawmi Community Day. There will be plenty of gameplay to be had, and Trainers that stack their items and prioritize their time in-game will surely benefit. Community Day is the perfect environment to play with a group, stack up consumables like Lucky Eggs, Incense, and Star Pieces, and if you're lucky, be on a gameboard that is Lured Up. Best of luck to the Trainers that will be out there looking to maximize the stacked events.May is absolutely stacked as we won't be getting any slowdown before GO Fest. The calender is filled with events throughout the week and weekends for the entire month. We break down the latest event announcements, and start to get hyped for GMAX Machamp, which will be a major draw for most IRL communities. That is however, if they don't decide to stay home to play. With this week's shift to support remote gameplay, major concerns have been voiced by some, while others are celebrating. It is too early to know what impact this decision will really have on the game, as Community Ambassadors and Leaders are feeling the squeeze of a new potential threat. We air out our perspectives and both hope that IRL Communities will rally to keep the spirit of the game alive and outside where it belongs.Growing UpMega Kangaskhan Raid DayMax Battle Weekend: Dynamax SuicunePawmi Community DayCrown ClashMax Battle Day: GMAX MachampFinal Strike: GO Battle WeekCommunity Day Classic: MachopUpdates to Shadow Raids & Max BattlesStay up to date by adding our Google Calendar to your account!LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com    Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639 Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork HostsKen PescatoreAdam TuttleWriter and ProducerKen PescatoreExecutive Producer XanderShow music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾http://instagram.com/GameChopshttp://twitter.com/GameChopshttp://soundcloud.com/GameChopshttp://facebook.com/GameChopshttp://youtube.com/GameChopshttp://www.gamechops.comIntro MusicLake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix) TetracaseGameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/https://soundcloud.com/tetracase https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0Break MusicNational ParkMikel & GameChopsGameChops - Poké & Chillhttp://smarturl.it/pokechillhttps://twitter.com/mikel_beatsOutro MusicVast Poni CanyonCG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix)GameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/ http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beatshttps://soundcloud.com/glitchxcityPokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2025 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 345: An Applin A Day…Live Streamed on - 4/30/2025Publish Date - 5/3/2025We usually see a calm before the storm in terms of the few weeks leading up- to a GO Fest, however this May is stacked and the events do not relent. With a double stacked Vanillite Community Day and DMAX Entei Max Battle Weekend, the pacing continues to keep our calendars packed. Five more events will hit the game in the next 2 weeks, and that isn't including any of the Weekday hourly events. With a mix of Battle Days, Community Days, and longer events, we will be hard pressed to find time to capture it all. We wonder if this pacing is becoming a play when you can loop rather than play everything. The volume is giving many Trainers a challenge to keep up.The GO Pass will continue to be tested in certain parts of the world while the Power Up Ticket will be made available for everyone to purchase. We bring up the topic of wanting a catch all monthly investment in PGO that would power gameplay for the entire month. It feels like the month long tickets we currently have are more additive than a replacement for current spending. What if you could pay $50 a month and get a recurring weekly drop of items that would meet your gameplay needs? No matter how you look at it, Pokémon GO has become a demanding hobby if you want to stay ahead of the curve. DMAX EnteiSweet DiscoveriesVanillite Community DayGrowing UpMega Kangaskhan Raid DayMax Battle Weekend: Dynamax SuicunePawmi Community DayCrown ClashCrown Clash: Taken OverRegigigas Shadow Raid DayGO PassPower Up TicketLuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com    Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639 Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork HostsKen PescatoreAdam TuttleWriter and ProducerKen PescatoreExecutive Producer XanderShow music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾http://instagram.com/GameChopshttp://twitter.com/GameChopshttp://soundcloud.com/GameChopshttp://facebook.com/GameChopshttp://youtube.com/GameChopshttp://www.gamechops.comIntro MusicLake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix) TetracaseGameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/https://soundcloud.com/tetracase https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0Break MusicNational ParkMikel & GameChopsGameChops - Poké & Chillhttp://smarturl.it/pokechillhttps://twitter.com/mikel_beatsOutro MusicVast Poni CanyonCG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix)GameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/ http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beatshttps://soundcloud.com/glitchxcityPokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2025 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc.Lured Up and the Pokémon Professor Network are not affiliated with Niantic Inc., The Pokémon Company, Game Freak or Nintendo.#pokemon #pokemongo #podcast

Lured Up Podcast 344Live Streamed on - 4/23/25Publish Date - 4/25/25The last week of gameplay had some ups and downs! The Horizons Event was a ton of fun, combining a great encounter pool with fun costumed Pokémon. The Shiny chase kept Trainers engaged in the wild, while some focused on hatching Tinkatink from 7 km eggs. The positive sentiment around the Horizons Event was dulled a bit however, by a GMAX Snorlax Max Battle Day that had significant issues during the catch phase. With wonky throw physics and catch circle, Trainers had a lot of Snorlax run on them, and it felt pretty bad.Adam is clearly excited over Sweet Discoveries, which for him may as well just be a Delibird event. It's really all about the Apples, which bring in a new mechanic and evolution currency. Early feedback is that apples in the wild are exceptionally rare, so Mossy Lures are definitely the play for those on the Applin grind. This could be a really cool mechanic that could be repurposed a few different ways to improve on immersion and maybe even some persistent gameplay between Trainers. There are plenty of events already announced leading into May, and the advanced notice is definitely welcomed. With the high demands that this game makes on Trainer's schedules, knowing what is coming up is very important to prioritizing gameplay time. Growing Up, Crown Clash, and DMAX Suicune are all on the table for May, and we are sure there is even more in store. Our open discussion this week is once again about Wayfarer, with the Global Challenge coming to an early end, it really seems like Niantic Spatial is ready for the split. With reviewers outpacing the nominations, there was a pretty significant breakdown in the process. Wayfinders were faced with long load times and plenty of refreshing to get reviews to populate. Ending the challenge early left some in a position to not hit their goals (even though the reward thresholds were lowered). We did see some great transparency from Tintino, but this left the forums in a state that was rocky at best.Pokémon Horizons EventGMAX SnorlaxDMAX EnteiSweet DiscoveriesGrowing UpCrown ClashMax Battle Weekend: Dynamax SuicuneWayfarer Challenge Ends EarlyWayfarer WebsiteReviewing WayspotsWayfarer Community ForumsNiantic Helpshift WayfarerWayfarer on XStay up to date by adding our Google Calendar to your account!LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com    Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639 Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork HostsKen PescatoreAdam TuttleWriter and ProducerKen PescatoreExecutive Producer XanderShow music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾http://instagram.com/GameChopshttp://twitter.com/GameChopshttp://soundcloud.com/GameChopshttp://facebook.com/GameChopshttp://youtube.com/GameChopshttp://www.gamechops.comIntro MusicLake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix) TetracaseGameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/https://soundcloud.com/tetracase https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0Break MusicNational ParkMikel & GameChopsGameChops - Poké & Chillhttp://smarturl.it/pokechillhttps://twitter.com/mikel_beatsOutro MusicVast Poni CanyonCG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix)GameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/ http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beatshttps://soundcloud.com/glitchxcityPokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2025 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc.Lured Up and the Pokémon Professor Network are not affiliated with Niantic Inc., The Pokémon Company, Game Freak or Nintendo.#pokemon #pokemongo #podcast

Lured Up Podcast 343Live Streamed on - 4/16/25Publish Date - 4/18/25It has been a week of ups and downs in the Pokémon GO Community, as major news has come out of the Wayfarer camp. With only 2 days notice, Niantic Spatial has officially spun off, and Ingress is no longer connected to the Wayfarer system. This could have a huge impact on the future of the Pokémon GO gameboard, as PGO Trainers have relied on Ingress Agents to be the watchdogs of the map for years. Only time will tell how this will turn out.We start off with a recap of the last week of gameplay including Spring Into Spring, Sparring Partners Raid Day, and the launch of the Horizons Event. Combinations of mechanics, old and new Pokémon, and new Shinies have given us plenty to engage with. Surprisingly, Sparring Parters Raid Day went over well with many Trainers tracking down Mega Heracross, while the egg locked Tinkatink has those on the single incubator grind sweating a bit.Niantic has done a great job with giving us advanced notice on events, as GMAX Snorlax, DMAX Entei, Sweet Discoveries, Vanillite Community Day and Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day are coming our way fast. Plenty of gameplay, plenty of tickets. The $2 ticket doesn't seem all that bad on its own, but when there are 4-6, $2 tickets a month, things really start to add up. With Max Battle and Raid Day tickets coming in at $5 a ticket, our wallets continue to be opened week after week. With all that is going on with Wayfarer, we wonder if some Trainers will enjoy the bliss of not really being aware of the news, while others will take a proactive approach to keeping the map updated and accurate. Hopefully we see a strong group of PGO Wayfinders step up in order to compensate for the loss of Ingress players, especially in the reviewing process, as things with the PGO map may come to a screeching halt without them. Sparring Partners Raid DayPokémon Horizons EventGMAX SnorlaxDMAX EnteiSweet DiscoveriesStamp RallyMega Kangaskhan Raid DayNiantic SpatialWayfarer DiscussionGlobal Wayfarer ChallengeLuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com    Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639 Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork HostsKen PescatoreAdam TuttleWriter and ProducerKen PescatoreExecutive Producer XanderShow music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾http://instagram.com/GameChopshttp://twitter.com/GameChopshttp://soundcloud.com/GameChopshttp://facebook.com/GameChopshttp://youtube.com/GameChopshttp://www.gamechops.comIntro MusicLake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix) TetracaseGameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/https://soundcloud.com/tetracase https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0Break MusicNational ParkMikel & GameChopsGameChops - Poké & Chillhttp://smarturl.it/pokechillhttps://twitter.com/mikel_beatsOutro MusicVast Poni CanyonCG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix)GameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/ http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beatshttps://soundcloud.com/glitchxcityPokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2025 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc.Lured Up and the Pokémon Professor Network are not affiliated with Niantic Inc., The Pokémon Company, Game Freak or Nintendo.#pokemon #pokemongo #podcast

Lured Up Podcast 342: Last Week, This Week, Next WeekLive Streamed on - 4/2/2025We are working out an updated format to the show this week, starting off with our news segment called, “Last Week, This Week, Next Week”, where we recap the last week of gameplay, discuss the current events, and prep for what's to come. The event sand news cycle can be overwhelming in Pokémon GO, so while we will always touch on news as it is released, we will be closing our timeline of coverage to make each episode a bit more relevant to the week of its release. We recap our experiences with the Bug Out and Fuzzy Buddy Research Day, as well as both of our lack of Shinies from the makeup Catch Mastery research. One thing that has been keeping the momentum of the game moving along nicely is the consistent release of new Pokémon, forms, or Shinies. It seemed like we had a few months of limited new releases, so it is nice to see Might & Mastery coming through with some fresh content. The big topic of the week is a look into Niantic's current monetization strategy, with the release of the Powered Up Ticket, GO Pass, and Reward Road this month. Could this change the spending habits of Trainers? We discuss whether or not this may make you spend more or less, and if having free to play options is enough to keep the FOMO away. In the end, our gameplay experience may improve because of it, but we may have to pay the price of admission.Bug OutFuzzy BuddyStunning StylesTyrogue Hatch DaySpring Into SpringMega AudinoGMAX SnorlaxPower Up TicketGO PassGO Pass RewardsReward RoadLuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com    Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639 Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork HostsKen PescatoreAdam TuttleWriter and ProducerKen PescatoreExecutive Producer XanderShow music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾http://instagram.com/GameChopshttp://twitter.com/GameChopshttp://soundcloud.com/GameChopshttp://facebook.com/GameChopshttp://youtube.com/GameChopshttp://www.gamechops.comIntro MusicLake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix) TetracaseGameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/https://soundcloud.com/tetracase https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0Break MusicNational ParkMikel & GameChopsGameChops - Poké & Chillhttp://smarturl.it/pokechillhttps://twitter.com/mikel_beatsOutro MusicVast Poni CanyonCG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix)GameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/ http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beatshttps://soundcloud.com/glitchxcityPokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2025 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 341We haven't dug into the news in a few weeks so on this episode we build out the calendar into April and prep for some pretty great event lineups. The game has really hit a stride in providing event and gameplay loops across their different mechanics. The April calendar is as packed as any previous month we have seen, and the onslaught of events doesn't seem to be slowing down at all. With GO Fest right around the corner, we might be expecting the calm before the storm, but if April is any indication of the event pacing, we may not see a break in the action at all. A plethora of different events closed out March and will welcome us into April. With Sizzlepede releasing with the Bug Out and both Mega Audino and GMAX Snorlax on the horizon, we are getting plenty of debuts to serve as the carrot at the end of the stick.Circling back on the Niantic/Scopely conversation, we attended another meeting with Niantic to ask more questions about the deal. The amount of uncertainty and emotion is at an all time high. With feelings spanning the entire spectrum of thought, some Trainers remain concerned with cautious optimism, while others think this will spell out the demise of Pokémon GO as we know it. While our perspective is definitely to be optimistic while calling it like we see it, we had some of our concerns and doubts eased a bit after meeting with Niantic for a Q&A session to discuss the transition.I was able to meet with Michael Steranka the Senior Product Director on Pokémon GO and Mark Van Lommel, Niantic's Director of Communications, Games and Influencer Relations. Our 30 minute Zoom call was a no-nonsense information fest, where a small group of Pokémon GO creators from around the world could communicate directly with Niantic to have their questions answered. On this episode we will go through in detail some of the key questions that were asked, and Niantic's detailed and confidence inspired responses. Time will absolutely tell what the future holds for Pokémon GO, but for now we were able to address some of the topics that matter most to Trainers. From Niantic's core values of exercise, exploration and real world social interaction to the reputation that Scopely games have over their monetization practices, Niantic was fully transparent and didn't shy away from answering every question. By the time episode 341 drops, we will have a second meeting with Niantic, where we hope to have even more questions answered! This week we are joined by the incredible JT Valor to dive into the GO Fest news and discuss what makes for a fun large scale IRL event. We have plenty to unpack as JT is one of the most traveled and hands on Trainers in the content scene. We begin by strolling down memory lane to when we first met JT back at Chicago GO Fest 2018. With the game and content scene still being so young, it was clear that JT's priorities lied within the Shiny Grind. We discuss how his play style influences his content, and what it takes to prepare for all day grinds to capture the spirit of the event. Having experienced IRL events on multiple continents, JT has a unique perspective on what makes for a fun and engaging Park Gameplay experience. We talk about how while NYC may have had the weakest Park Experience, it had the best City Experience. This dynamic isn't only challenging for the Trainer to navigate, but also defines the gameplay trajectory at the event.Being a self made creator with no ties to the developer, JT's connection to the game comes from pure enjoyment. Lured Up Podcast 338Livestreamed on - 2/28/2025Publish Date - 3/1/2025What an interesting week it has been! After the shocking news last week about Niantic's rumored 3.5 Billion Dollar Sale of their gaming division to Scopely, the Community has seemed to let it all go in trade for hype about GO Tour! We aren't sure if this is good or bad, but we should all stay alert as if it does happen, it may come out of nowhere. It's been a long drive on the Road To Unova this week as we started working our way through the Tour Pass. We discuss if the Battle Pass format is a slippery slope or if it is a welcomed addition to the game. From issues with the UI to unengaging tasks, it really is all about the rewards, which so far have been pretty awesome, so long as you shelled out $20 for the Tour Pass Deluxe.Black and White Kyurem will have new Adventure Effects with unique benefits. From making GO Plus catches easier to keeping jumpy Pokémon standing still during the catch sequence, these two new effects should see significant usage from Trainers during Unova Tour. With Dual Destiny coming to a close after Unova Tour Global, Might & Mastery will be here before you know it. With Kubfu and Urshifu leading the charge, it appears to be another Season of non-stop events, although the Raid lineups seem to be less than stellar. Combined with the March Content Update, there is no signs of Niantic slowing down as we will have things to do every weekend, making the game-life balance a tough juggling act.Once we get through the March Update, we talk about the first new event of the Season, Powerful Potential, which brings with it an $8 event ticket, in a very transactional feeling encounter with a second Kubfu. Is Niantic training us to be ready for aggressive monetization from Scopely? We may never know, but what is clear, is that PGO has really been asking for more time and money than it has in the past.Road to Unova: bit.ly/LU335RoadToUnova TourPass: bit.ly/LU333TourPass Unova Tour Global: bit.ly/LU330UnovaGlobalKyurem Adventure Effects: https://bit.ly/LU338AdventureEffects Might & Mastery: https://bit.ly/LU338MightMasteryMarch Content Update: https://bit.ly/LU338March Powerful Potential: https://bit.ly/LU338PowerfulPotential LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com    Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639 Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork HostsKen PescatoreAdam TuttleWriter and ProducerKen PescatoreExecutive Producer XanderShow music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾http://instagram.com/GameChopshttp://twitter.com/GameChopshttp://soundcloud.com/GameChopshttp://facebook.com/GameChopshttp://youtube.com/GameChopshttp://www.gamechops.comIntro MusicLake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix) TetracaseGameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/https://soundcloud.com/tetracase https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0Break MusicNational ParkMikel & GameChopsGameChops - Poké & Chillhttp://smarturl.it/pokechillhttps://twitter.com/mikel_beatsOutro MusicVast Poni CanyonCG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix)GameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/ http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beatshttps://soundcloud.com/glitchxcityPokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc.Lured Up and the Pokémon Professor Network are not affiliated with Niantic Inc., The Pokémon Company, Game Freak or Nintendo.#pokemon #pokemongo #podcast

Lured Up Podcast 337: Not Like ThatIn one of the most shocking bits of news to ever come out on Pokémon GO, Bloomberg has reported that Niantic is nearing a deal to sell their games division to Scopely, a Saudi Arabian Publishing house, backed by a Saudi sovereign fund. The article cites no confirmed sources and is as vague as it gets outside of the price tag of 3.5 Billion dollars. There is so much to unpack. We start off with our weekly recap including Hoopa Unbound Raid Day and Scattered To The Winds. Ken played IRL while Adam played remote, which brought some balance to the world, although Adam felt a bit icky having to pay to play. The Shiny Scatterbug chase has reignited friends lists and people are finally opening their gifts! We skim through some newly released event details for Unova Tour as well as the announcement of Totodile Community Day Classic. It's wild to think that Unova Tour info is somewhat of an afterthought in this week's news cycle. Not surprisingly, the event will be split into Black and White Special Research paths, and will feature new music from Junichi Masuda.Digging into the Scopely news we would be remiss if we didn't reiterate that the article does not cite any source. We look to GO Hub who shares some background on the rumored buyer as well as some hot takes on what their community is like. It appears that Scopely games are notorious for being exceptionally micro transaction heavy, with an ad-forward model. This is something that all PGO Trainers should be nervous about. So what can we do? Not much. We know from experience that Niantic doesn't comment on anything, let alone rumors of this magnitude. It will be a difficult task to not think the worst, or to not lose motivation to play. Some online have been calling for Niantic to sell PGO for years, but after looking at Scopely's reputation, they may have got it all wrong. This is just the tip of the iceberg for this conversation, but we don't even know the next time we may get an update on it.Hoopa Unbound Raid Day: https://bit.ly/LU335Hoopa Scattered To The Winds: https://bit.ly/LU335Scattered New Unova Tour Info: https://bit.ly/LU337Unova Totodile Community Day Classic: https://bit.ly/LU337Totodile Niantic deal with Scopely: https://yhoo.it/40Yy58c Scopely: https://bit.ly/LU337Scopely GO Hub Scopely: https://bit.ly/LU337GOHub Monopoly GO Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monopoly_GO/Marvel Strike Force Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelStrikeForce/Star Trek Fleet Command Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/startrekfleetcommand/ Pokemon GO Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/ JRE Reaction: https://bit.ly/LU337JRE Mystic7 Reaction: https://bit.ly/LU337Mystic7 LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com    Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639 Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork HostsKen PescatoreAdam TuttleWriter and ProducerKen PescatoreExecutive Producer XanderShow music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative CommonsIntro MusicLake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix) TetracaseGameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/https://soundcloud.com/tetracase https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0Break MusicNational ParkMikel & GameChopsGameChops - Poké & Chillhttp://smarturl.it/pokechillhttps://twitter.com/mikel_beatsOutro MusicVast Poni CanyonCG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix)GameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/ http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beatshttps://soundcloud.com/glitchxcityPokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc.Lured Up and the Pokémon Professor Network are not affiliated with Niantic Inc., The Pokémon Company, Game Freak or Nintendo.#pokemon #pokemongo #podcast

Lured Up Podcast 336 Record Date - 2/12/25 Publish Date - 2/14/25   Happy Valentine's Day! We love all of you for the incredible support you have given us over the years! We hope you have an awesome day!   Plenty to recap this week as we are coming out of the Strong Yet Small event, Community Day weekend, and the start of the Beloved Buddies. With what seems less like filler events, this last week has brought us new Pokémon, Shinies, and move sets. The calendar doesn't show any signs of slowing down, as this weekend brings us Hoopa Unbound Raid Day.    We put together a little Raid Guide and Battle Party for Hoopa and encourage all Trainers to prepare 1 or 2 Battle Parties in advance. With the ability to dui, you will want to make sure you maximize your time in the Raid to get the highest damage output possible. It's not often that Bug Pokémon take the stage, but Hoopa will be taking double super effective damage from them this weekend!   The latest Save the Date blog has the community talking as it is becoming harder and harder to maintain a healthy game-life balance. Should it be left to Niantic to manage our priorities, or does the onus fall on the Trainer to decide how they spend their time. It's a great topic and one that we feel will continue to be a part of the zeitgeist for the foreseeable future.   This month is still packed with events as we have Scattered To The Winds, the Road to Unova, and of course Unova Tour IRL and GLobal closing out the month. Is it even possible for the average Trainer to keep up with the schedule, or should they not even be concerned with playing every event? The FOMO is real, and it may be time for many Trainers to make decisions about their priorities.   In closing we briefly discuss Fuecoco COmmunity Day which will be the first of the next season. GO Tour: Unova will feature some Notable Trainers that you can meet and hang out with. Finally, a unique partnership between PGO and Major League Baseball will have baseball fans whipping their phones out at Stadiums across the United States.   Keep Training, Trainers!   Strong Yet Small - https://bit.ly/LU335StrongYetSmall Community Day - https://bit.ly/LU335CommunityDay  Beloved Buddies - https://bit.ly/LU335BelovedBuddies  Hoopa Unbound Raid Day - https://bit.ly/LU335Hoopa  Hoopa Counters GOHub - https://bit.ly/LU336HoopaGOHub  Hoopa Counters Pokébattler - https://bit.ly/LU336HoopaPokebattler  Scattered To The Winds - https://bit.ly/LU335Scattered  Save The Dates - https://bit.ly/LU336SaveTheDates  Fuecoco Community Day - https://bit.ly/LU336Fuecoco  GO Tour Notable Trainers - https://bit.ly/LU336Notable  PGOxMLB - https://bit.ly/LU336MLB    LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Xander   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 335: The Big Game Record Date - 2/5/2025 Publish Date - 2/7/2025   There is an insane amount of news to cover this week, and we jump straight into it. The Lunar New Year event, Legendary Flight, and GMAX Kingler Max Battle Day all happened in the last few days. Niantic is keeping their foot on the gas and we are here for it. We work our way through February's slate of event, starting with Strong Yet Small and taking it all the way through to GO Tour: Unova,   We have a combination of event styles this month, with new Pokémon and new Shinies coming our way. We make sure to mention that we have yet another Pokémon being released that is not available in the wild. Could this be an intentional trend or does Niantic have something in mind? We aren't sure of much, but we know that scarcity is an issue in the game, especially when Pokémon are gated behind eggs or Raids.   The month is overflowing with events as we prep for GO Tour Season. The event in LA is still a go, but sadly we won't be traveling to it. The return of both Hoopa Unbound and Incarnate Forme Enamorus, the Raiders out there will be super happy. With Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day and DMAX Articuno Max Monday, it has been a wonderland of gameplay options and pretty solid rewards. We kick things off with a recap of our last week of gameplay, from Fashion Week: Taken Over to the current Steeled Resolve. While the calendar is packed with events, that doesn't mean it is packed with excitement. Carbink… Again!   As January comes to a close, we still have more events to keep us busy. The Lunar New Year Event is on its way and it really doesn't seem to offer much outside of the increased Lucky odds. With a spawn pool that is old and common, this event may be best enjoyed by two Trainers sitting across from each other while knocking out 100 trades over dinner. Ralts Community Day Classic is also this weekend, which means another opportunity to check in at an Ambassador Event or spend a few bucks on some Research.   The big news of the week is the Road to Unova event which is a full month away! The event's massive blog is loaded with details on everything you can do while working on your Tour Pass progress. Lured Up Podcast 333 Record Date - 1/15/2025 Publish Date - 1/17/2025   There are some serious ups and downs to navigate this week, including a very divisive decision by Niantic! We begin with our recap of the last week of gameplay including Fashion Week and Taken Over. With the Giovanni Loop beginning to feel a bit tired, some Trainers will simply get to it when they get to it. Others love the increased TGR action, and the additional gameplay that a Takeover brings. Mega Gallade was last weekend and while Ken was able to Raid heavy in Red Bank, Adam was able to squeeze one in thanks to Mama Tuttle and a few Remote Raiders!   Shadow Ho-Oh is coming this weekend and if that wasn't big enough news, Niantic has decided to allow Remote Raiders to join in on Shadow Raids. Some on X are calling this a massive win for the Community, while others are calling it a desperate cash grab. We express some real world concerts like IRL Communities losing a few participants and some Trainers looking to do the entire event remote. We will have to follow this topic to see how many Remote Raiders join in the fray. Hopefully IRL Communities won't see too much attrition!   GO Fest dates and locations have been announced and it is coming to Dirty Jersey! Jersey City will host the US GO Fest this year and we couldn't be more excited. We take a peak at Liberty State Park, which is our guess of venue, and inappropriately speculate on how this may work. Will we see a City Experience that stretches into NYC? We have so many questions!   January isn't ready to go quietly into the night, as there are still a handful of events to come during the month's second half.  Steeled Resolve, Lunar New Year, DMAX Legendary Birds, and Gigantamax Kingler are all on their way in the next two weeks. We talk about the slow rollout of new Pokémon, and how lately, they all seem to be behind eggs or Raids. The only thing we know for sure is that January is going to keep us VERY busy, and we didn't even mention Community Day Classic!   Finally we talk about the Tour Pass and how this could shape the direction for monetization in Pokémon GO. With a free version available to everyone, we should all be excited for additional gameplay loops and of course the rewards. 2 different paid options be available, and all we can do is hope that the rewards will make it all worth it!   Fashion Week: https://bit.ly/LU333FashionWeek  Taken Over: https://bit.ly/LU333TakenOver  Mega Gallade Raid Day: https://bit.ly/LU331Gallade  Shadow Ho-Oh: https://bit.ly/LU333ShadowHoOh  Remote Shadow Raids: https://bit.ly/LU333RemoteRaid  GO Fest Dates: https://bit.ly/LU333GOFestDates  Jersey City, NJ: https://bit.ly/LU333JerseyCity  DMAX Raids: https://bit.ly/LU333DMAXBirds  Steeled Resolve: https://bit.ly/LU333SteeledResolve  Lunar New Year: https://bit.ly/LU333LunarNewYear  GMAX Kingler: https://bit.ly/LU333GMAXKingler  Rose Bowl: https://bit.ly/LU333RoseBowl  Tour Pass: https://bit.ly/LU333TourPass  Android Devices: https://bit.ly/LU333Android  LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Xander   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 332 Record Date - 12/30/24 Publish Date - 1/3/25   2024 is a wrap and this has been an incredible year of Pokémon GO. We saw a slate of new mechanics and features along with an absolutely packed calendar of events. The development of the Community Ambassador program has brought players back outside. Was 2024 the perfect setup for the next 5 years of Pokémon GO? We think so!   We break down the close of the 2024 calendar with a recap of the last week of gameplay. With the events filling every week and weekend of the month, we dig into what makes an event feel worth it, and what could make it feel like filler. With the game asking more and more of its players, are we seeing Trainers decide to opt out of specific events, or does FOMO still have a solid grip on the player base.    As we roll into January, the stage is already set. With the quick New Years event and Charged Embers Hatch Day leading right into Fidough Fetch and Sprigatito Community Day. Combined with Max Mondays, Spotlight Hour and Raid Hour, hardcore Trainers will have their mettle tested if they want to be the best. We just aren't sure if Trainers are ready for that degree of commitment, when the game is continuously asking them for more time over more days.   We take a stroll down memory lane and look back at the different Seasons of 2024. It started with Timeless Travels and  has since brought us a constant flow of new features, Pokémon, events and mechanics. The GO Fest window was absolutely nuts this year, with Global being only one week after NYC. Since then, Wild Area and the release of DMAX/GMAX has fundamentally changed the way we all play. One thing is for certain, playing this game outside and with a group has never been better nor more accessible. Wild Area was definitely the closest to 2016 that this game has felt, and that is VERY promising for the future.   Elekid & Magby Hatch Day: https://bit.ly/LU331ChargedEmbers  New Years: https://bit.ly/LU331NewYears  January Content Update: https://bit.ly/LU331January  Fidough Fetch: https://bit.ly/LU331FidoughFetch  Sprigatito Community Day: https://bit.ly/LU331Sprigatito  Mega Gallade Raid Day: https://bit.ly/LU331Gallade  eMILY: https://bit.ly/LU332eMILy  Timeless Travels: https://bit.ly/LU332TimelessTralvels  Worlds of Wonder: https://bit.ly/LU332WorldsOfWonder  Shared Skies: https://bit.ly/LU332SharedSkies  Max Out: https://bit.ly/LU332MaxOut  Dual Destiny: https://bit.ly/LU332DualDestiny  LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Xander   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. The pace of the game has been steadfast with no change in pace or signs of slowing down.   The January Content Update has been detailed and the pressure will remain on the engaged Trainer. There may even be a time where some of us will have to decide between playing an event and other life responsibilities. The game is becoming harder and harder to achieve a game/life balance, which during the Holiday Season could put a strain on the home life.   We detail the flurry of events that have already been announced in the days and weeks after Christmas. An Elekid & Magby Hatch Day will close out the month before the New Years Event and the January slate begins to unfold. Three events have already been detailed including Sprigatito Community Day, Fidough Fetch, and Mega Gallade Raid Day. The first month of the year will maintain its place in the difficult game/life balance discussion.   Holiday Part One: https://bit.ly/LU331Holiday1 Holiday Part Two: https://bit.ly/LU331Holiday2  Community Day: https://bit.ly/LU331CommunityDay  Elekid & Magby Hatch Day: https://bit.ly/LU331ChargedEmbers  January Content Update: https://bit.ly/LU331January  New Years: https://bit.ly/LU331NewYears  Eggspedition Access: https://bit.ly/LU331Eggspedition  Sprigatito Community Day: https://bit.ly/LU331Sprigatito  Fidough Fetch: https://bit.ly/LU331FidoughFetch  Mega Gallade Raid Day: https://bit.ly/LU331Gallade  LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Xander   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. The Max Battle System fundamentally changed the daily routines of countless Trainers, with deeper levels of engagement and strategy trickling their way into different mechanics like defending Gyms, trading, and walking Routes. Hats off to MAX OUT!   Dual Destiny is our next Season and it is hitting the ground running in December with a packed slate of content. We revisit the conversation of how demanding this game has become on our calendars, with more and more destination in game events. Pair that with nearly all events having a ticketed component, FOMO is sure to make an appearance at some point this Season.   December weekends are packed with small window events while over arching events span the weekdays. Trainers will have something to do every single weekend in December. Maintaining a game/life balance will be tested this month, and it will be a challenge for some to stave off the burnout. Is there ever a point where too much in game content is too much? We aren't sure but if there is a month to help us find out it will be this December.   Details on the Unova Tour have dropped which opens the door for a great conversation. We dig into how IRL Communities have more events than ever to build upon for their locals, and how even if a Community wants to host 3 events a YEAR, they have good reason to do so. We are confident that the Max Out Season was a catalyst for getting back to in-person play, and the future is bright for those Trainers that are willing to embrace it and get outside to play.   LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Xander   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 329 Record Date - 11/20/24 Publish Date - 11/22/24   Wild Area Global is almost here and we have plenty to unpack and dig into. Hopefully everyone in your community has done plenty of Drilbur in preparation of GMAX Toxtricity, and is managing their Max Particles correctly to balance powering one or two of them up. We will get you prepped and ready to go for Wild Area Global, and will touch on some of the issues that Trainers are facing this week.    Into the wild put Toxel behind 10km eggs but the Community seems pretty chill about it, knowing that Toxtricity is just on the horizon. An issue with the event's Raid ticket however, has Trainers calling Niantic out for some misleading advertising. With a quiet update to the blog, Niantic has flipped on how bonus Raid passes were to be included with the ticket, causing some unrest in the Community. With their credibility being under a microscope, future events that include bonus Raid passes may require some additional explaining on what exactly is included.   We had a few quality of life updates this week starting with increased Pokémon and item storage, which is always welcomed before a major event. Pair that with a Black Friday PokéCoin sale, and Trainers have some pretty good incentive to spend up before the weekend. The big news of the week however was the addition of Raid Attendance being visible from the Friends List, with the ability to jump directly into a Remote Raid without an invite. (NOTE - Since the time of this recording we have learned that this is a temporary test that is scheduled to end after the Wild Area Global event).   WIth the Max Out Season coming to a close, it is fair to say that this has been one of the most action packed Seasons to date. With new visuals, mechanics, and ways to play the game, it has been moving at a fast pace since its first day. The Max Out finale will keep the pressure on, bringing new Pokémon, but also additional tickets to purchase, which also puts the pressure on Trainer's wallets.   Simply Groundbreaking: https://bit.ly/LU327Groundbreaking  Into The Wild: https://bit.ly/LU328IntoTheWild  Niantic Boo Boo: https://bit.ly/LU329BooBoo  Wild Area Global: https://bit.ly/LU329Global  Increased Storage: https://bit.ly/LU329Storage  Black Friday Sale: https://bit.ly/LU329BlackFriday  Raid Attendance QoL: https://bit.ly/LU329RaidAttendance  Trainers Love It: https://bit.ly/LU329FleeceKing  Trainers Hate It: https://bit.ly/LU329MrAvalanche  Max Out Finale: https://bit.ly/LU329Finale  LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Xander   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 328 Record Date - 11/13/24 Publish Date - 11/15/24   We are only a few weeks away from the conclusion of the Max Out Season, and with a barrage of events behind us, there is still plenty to look forward to. We begin with a recap of the Harvest Festival, Mankey Community Day, and the amazing Food Drives that were part of the event. We also saw the first Community Ambassador Check-In Timed Research which further incentivizes Trainers to visit or create their own Ambassador led events.   Simply Groundbreaking is up next and Dynamax Drilbur is coming along with it. Even as a One-Star Max Battle, this Pokémon will have a profound impact on the PvE meta as Dynamax Excadrill is the lead counter against the Wild Area's premier boss, Toxtricity! It should be a priority for all Trainers to play during next week's Max Monday, to stock up on Drilbur and Candy XL. You will want to go into the Wild Area prepped and ready to go!   The Into the Wild event will be our last before the Wild Area, and will keep us very busy as we await the global event. Meetups have been popping up everywhere, including in Rochester, New Hampshire. Anyone in that area is urged to come out to meet Adam and the Tri-City Pokémon Campfire Group for a day of grinding and even a giveaway for a GO Plus+!   The most interesting news of the week comes from just outside of Albany, NY, where local officials are looking to put an end to organized Pokémon GO events in a public park. Even local news stations have picked up the story, and it could have a profound impact on the local Pokémon GO Community. After receiving so many messages about it, I was able to connect with Spencer, the Community lead and creator of a petition to keep Pokémon GO in Crossings Park. Lured Up Podcast 327 Record Date - 11/6/24 Publish Date - 11/8/24   The second half of the Halloween Event is behind us and it closed out strong with GMAX Gengar. We discuss how the nerfs impacted the community, and whether or not we think they should stick around. Our experiences with Gengar were expectedly different, however Adam shares some glimmers of hope that he has stumbled on in his area.   Next Season's Save the Date is here and is packed with events, including our two-day Community Day yearly wrap up. We should all feel confident that additional events are still to be announced, but we would be remiss if we didn't discuss just how full the calendar has become. It isn't just events, but limited timed events like Spotlight Hours and Raid Days. The calendar is packed with them, creating a very destination event style gameplay loop.  We dig in to what the packed calendar means for casuals and core Trainers, and how FOMO is bound to make a strong return next Season. We are eager to hear your feedback on how you feel having events happening every weekend, 3 times during the week, and overarching throughout the month. One thing is for certain, there is no shortage of gameplay to experience.   As we prepare for the Wild Area in a few weeks, we still need to get through Mankey Community Day, which will also be doubling as a holiday food drive. Lured Up Podcast 326 Record Date - 10/30/24 Publish Date - 11/1/24   It's been a big week in Pokémon GO with the release of Gigantamax Pokémon causing quite the stir. The Community sentiment over the mechanic is split, and it seems like community size plays a very important role. We start with a recap and work our way through the news, but the looming GMAX conversation is heard throughout the episode.   November is already here and we have our final month of Max Out in front of us. We will be having a very Raid heavy November as we work towards the Wild Area. With the return of many familiar Legendaries and a packed Raid Hour lineup, we will be very busy. The start of the month brings us GO Battle Weekend into the Harvest Festival. Could this be the calm before the storm?   The big news is the community sentiment over the release of GMAX> With large communities of 30+ having amazing activations, while others, are so down on the mechanic that they don't even try. We have plenty to say on the topic, including an interesting take from Adam.   We also announce our social experiment, the New Hampshire Rural Community Project. GMAX Raids have simultaneously renewed the spirits of many IRL communities while also drawing the ire of some Trainers online. The game has changed, the map has changed, and the way we interact with other Trainers around us has changed. GMAX is here and we are all for it.   We start with a recap of last week's gameplay including Magnetic Study, Yamask Research Day, and the kickoff of the Halloween Event. Niantic has been keeping their foot on the throttle all Season and it doesn't appear it will let up anytime soon. You can even find more to do at Walmarts this week as they are Niantic's newest sponsor. Lured Up Podcast 324 Record Date - 10/16/24 Publish Date - 10/18/24   Niantic is making it harder and harder to talk about topics other than the news! October has been a non-stop barrage of events, updates, and content from Niantic, with Trainers barely having a moment to catch their breath. We run through our gameplay from the last week including GIovanni, Mega Mawile, and the current Magnetic Study. It has been a busy week to say the least. Yamask Research Day is this weekend and only adds to the back to back nature of events this month. It makes for the perfect primer for Part 1 of the Halloween Event which lands next week. Morepeko is absolutely making things interesting as is the event and its multiple ways to engage with it. Those chasing Morpeko will need to grind some GBL while those not looking to dig in too deep will stick to the Timed Research. We also can't forget about Spiritomb, who will be in Field Research making for a fun grind.   The big news of the week was the announcement of Gigantamax, and the upcoming events to support it. It looks like we will be seeing the Kanto Starters Gigantamax Forms in November, with a very interesting new way to lobby up. With up to 40 Trainers taking on a Gigantamax Pokémon at the same time, it will be interesting to see how many Communities can fill a lobby and get through the coordination needed to plan a large scale Gigantamax Battle. Let's also not forget that we are still seeing plenty of Power Spots at home based businesses, which makes you wonder if Gigantamax locations will be curated or random.   An unexpected update hit the news feed of Trainers in the Seattle and Bellevue Washington area, notifying them that the Pokémon Playgrounds AR Experience was available to them at select Gyms and Stops. We look back to 2017 when Niantic first mentioned Playground, which makes it running live in 2024 even more awesome. We dig in to how the Lightship VPS may play an intrical role in Playground, and how it could shape the way we interact with the game at IRL events.   Taken Over: https://bit.ly/LU322TakenOver  Mega Mawile Raid Day: https://bit.ly/LU322MegaMawile  Magnetic Study: https://bit.ly/LU323MagneticStudy  Yamask Research Day: https://bit.ly/LU324Yamask Halloween Part 1: https://bit.ly/LU323Halloween1  Raid Updates: https://bit.ly/LU324RaidUpdate  Festival of Lights: https://bit.ly/LU324Lights  Gigantamax: https://bit.ly/LU324Gigantamax  GMAX Video: https://bit.ly/LU324GMAXVideo  Wild Area: https://bit.ly/LU324WildArea  Positive Play Guide: https://bit.ly/LU324PositivePlay  JRE: https://x.com/NianticLabs/status/1844427508818772124  Pokémon Playground 2017: https://bit.ly/LU324Playground2017  Pokémon Playground 2024: https://bit.ly/LU324Playground2024  Lightship VPS: https://bit.ly/LU324VPS  LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Xander   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 323 Record Date - 10/9/2024 Publish Date - 10/11/2024   Welcome to another fun loving and good for you episode of the Lured Up Podcast! October has been a workout for sure as Trainers are navigating a sea of events, new mechanics, and social awkwardness! We start things off with a recap of the Galarian Expedition event and prep to take down Giovanni this week. With the Taken Over portion of the event spicing things up on the Rocket department, this week brings unique grinding opportunities as well as support for Pve and PvP though the Pokémon that are available.   Mega Mawile Raid Day is this weekend and we put together a little Raid Guide and Battle Party thanks to help from Pokémon GO Hub and Pokebattler. With Mega Mawile being fairly easy to defeat, it presents the chance to use some fun and unique Pokémon, as we see in each of our Battle Parties. Whether you are free to play or a paid player, Raid Day always delivers a ton of great gameplay and in person fun for Communities. We will see a few days of vanilla spawns before the Magnetic Study Event goes live. THis event has rotating bonuses and TImed Research, allowing for Trainers to find a time to play that works best for their style and needs. Or, if you are like us, a nice varied gameplay experience that can be enjoyed over the entire arc of the short event. Make sure to earn some Magnetic Lures from Showcases to help out your Community!   Details for Part 1 of the Halloween Event have been detailed and it looks like a banger! With a little bit of everything, we will see new Pokémon, new PvP mechanics, and a new Dynamax Boss all in the same week. We still have some time before the event goes live, so we will revisit it in more detail next week!   FInally we wrap up with a conversation driven by a JRESeawolf Tweet that highlights the tendency for some Battlers online to take an ill-informed stance about Niantic as a developer and how that impacts different systems of the game. While we have fun and make some gross generalizations, it doesn't take much time on Twitter to realize that it can sometimes feel like Battlers vs the world. Check out our thoughts and share your own to keep the conversation going! Lured Up Podcast 322 Record Date - 10/2/24 Publish Date - 10/6/24   While we are used to Niantic's insane event pacing, it is always a good thing when there is excitement from week to week. The events lately have been bringing a lot of value to Trainers by offering a variety of things to do. Raid hours have been drawing good crowds for weeks and the events have been motivating people to get outside.   The Wild Area has been detailed and this looks to be a new staple ingredient in Niantic's IRL event roster. With the theme of focusing on specific Pokémon types, if opens the door for recurring events with rotating types. A two day global event also makes this exciting for Trainers that don't plan on attending the in person event. Plenty to do, new Pokémon, new Shinies, new excitement.   Zamazenta is replacing its partner Zacian in 5 Star Raids this week. Paired with Falinks Max Battles, there are plenty of reasons to get outside with a group to play. With the difficulty that Falinks is bringing, some Trainers are surprised and turned off. It opens up a discussion of how this game calls for in person group play as an integral part of a successful experience.   Giovanni is also heading back, this time with Shadow Heatran. The ability to TM away Frustration comes at a good time as things are still being shaken out from the PvE updates. Paired with the next PokéCoin Bounty and Mega Mawile Raid Day, this October is shaping up to be packed, and we don't even know what the Halloween Event will bring us!   Legendary Heroes: https://bit.ly/LU321LegendaryHeroes  Galarian Expedition: https://bit.ly/LU321GalarianExpedition More Max Battles: https://bit.ly/LU321MaxGalar  Wild Area: https://bit.ly/LU319WildArea  Wild Area Japan: https://bit.ly/LU322WildAreaJapan  Wild Area Global: https://bit.ly/LU322WildAreaGlobal  Zamazenta Battle Party: https://bit.ly/LU322Zamazenta  Dynamax Falinks Battle Party: https://bit.ly/LU322DMaxFalinks  Taken Over: https://bit.ly/LU322TakenOver  PokéCoin Bounty Part 2: https://bit.ly/LU322PokeCoin2  Mega Mawile Raid Day: https://bit.ly/LU322MegaMawile  LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Paul Bhatt   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 321 Record Date - 9/24/24 Publish Date - 9/27/24   We have plenty to discuss this week as the hits just keep on coming. Niantic is keeping their foot on the gas pedal with Max Out, as new events, Pokémon and Shinies are inbound to the game this month.   We begin with a recap of our last week of gameplay including the Psychic Spectacular and Dynamax Beldum Raids. We loved seeing a fleshed out and diverse event that provides a bit of gameplay for many different disciplines of Trainers. The focus this week however is on DMax Beldum, which while not too tough a boss in the end, definitely took a lot of Trainers by surprise in their first few battles. This makes DMax even more promising as a vessel to release new and exciting content to the game.   Oranguru and Passimian Research Day delivered as expected with simple tasks and plenty of Shinies. Having events like this that support free to play players and the most hardcore at the same time is no simple feat. In the end, these types of events just work out well for everyone that plays them. We also have news of the Galar Starters coming as Max Battles along with Falinx, which will keep that DMax Train chugging along.   Plenty of miscellaneous news this week including Sewaddle Community Day, new TCG inspired Stickers, Campfire on browser, and sharing items in Party Play. This season is absolutely jammed with content and October looks to keep it going.    Baltimore Regionals were this last weekend and many notable Battlers have spoken up about the state of PvP negatively impacting the event. When Niantic makes a known issue as resolved, yet it rears its head on the world stage, it is never a good look. We hope that in the end all of the battles played were decided fairly.   Between Legendary Heroes and Galarian Expedition, we have Zacian and Zamazenta returning, but this time with their Shiny forms. We have a strong feeling that Raids will be popping off for the next two weeks. Lured Up Podcast 320 Record Date - 9/11/24 Publish Date - 9/15/24   Lane from Good Morning Johto joins us again as Adam wraps up his move!   Dynamax Battles are here and the game has officially changed! Now that we have had some time to experience the Max Out Season, Niantic is really shaking things up. We will recap our experiences with GO All Out and our super early feedback on the GO Big event.    Falinks Raid Day gave us some fun free to play and high value paid gameplay. September is absolutely packed with events and there is something to do every single weekend! Our Communities experienced Falinks very different from eachother, which shows that not every event needs to be for everyone.   Power Spots have absolutely caused a stir in the Wayfarer Community as Wayfinders react to having their finely curated gameboard covered in POI that seem to break every rule in the Wayfarer rulebook. It poses many questions like where did Power Spots come from, did they have any vetting at all, and should they follow Wayfarer criteria? The Wayfinders are charged up and with very good reason.   The Psychic Spectacular is back and will be the first, post DMax launch event to release a new DMax Pokemon. Putting aside the logistics of Power Spots, Beldum will surely be a VERY popular Pokémon to grind in Max Battles.   We wrap up with a discussion about the ongoing balancing changes to PvE. With video showing Kyogre spamming Thunder 7 times in a row, things are getting a bit wild in Raids. We will need to see how things shake out over time, because people are already feeling the resource squeeze when they need to revive 3 lobbies worth of Pokémon per Raid! Lured Up Podcast 319 Record Date - 9/4/2024 Publish Date - 9/8/2024   Adam is still in the process of moving so Lane from Good Morning Johto is filling in! Make sure you connect with Lane everywhere you can! https://pokemonprofessor.com/good-morning-johto    September brings an absolute boatload of new information and game mechanics as we usher in the Max Out Season. Even being a few days into the Season, plus a bunch of event blog posts, many Trainers are still scratching their heads to try and understand how everything works. With Max Battles coming very soon, we have a limited amount of time to figure out and speculate on how things will shake out. What we do know, is that a new way to play Pokémon GO is here, and we will all need to adjust and adapt.    Getting back to the news, Niantic announced a new IRL event called the Wild Area that will be coming to Japan. Corresponding to the gameplay of Sword and Shield, it is the perfect time and name for a new IRL event. Time will tell if this event will slide into the annual rotation like GO Fest and GO Tour. Interestingly enough, we also have Safari Zones and City Safari events returning, which means that Trainers all around the world will have opportunities to play in large scale IRL events.    The September Content Update brings a blend of old and new, as we see the return of Zacian, but this time with its Shiny Form available. Dynamax Pokémon will dominate the month and perhaps the Season, with Spotlights and Raid Hours rounding out the usual weekly gameplay loops.    Even with the Dynamax Mechanic being introduced, September is packed with events like Ponyta Community Day and Falinks Raid Day. Even if Trainers are hesitant to engage with the new Dynamax Mechanic, they can always fall back on some old and faithful events.    September Content Update: https://bit.ly/LU319September Wild Area: https://bit.ly/LU319WildArea Ponyta Community Day: https://bit.ly/LU319Ponyta GO All Out: https://bit.ly/LU319GOAllOut  GO Big: https://bit.ly/LU319GOBig GO Hub Dynamax Guide: https://bit.ly/LU319GOHubDynamax  Falinks Raid Day: https://bit.ly/LU319Falinks PokéCoin Bounty: https://bit.ly/LU319PokeCoinBounty  LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Paul Bhatt   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Thousands of you were able to get your Costumed Pikachu and we were so excited to meet so many new Trainers. Thank you again for EVERYTHING!   To start we break down our experience with the Worlds Events and Twitch Drop Timed Research, which kept many Trainers busy all week. It was a ton of fun to watch Worlds and interact with it through Twitch and PGO gameplay. This was a huge win all around in terms of experience and immersion.   Beldum Community Day Classic was a fan favorite and brought plenty of Trainers outside. With Trainers prepping for Mega Metagross, incredible PvP and PVE gameplay, as well as the incoming Dynamax update, Metagross will be a MAJOR player on many teams.   Triumph Together is the new event this week and we see a bunch of GLobal Team Challenges which will let us know how hardcore or casual our friends list is. With various challenges rotating through each team's theme, this is looking to be a great event with some unique gameplay.   The big news of the week is the Morpeko mechanic update and the teasing of Dynamax Pokémon. With Shared Skies coming to a close, we are all confident that next season will be all about Dynamazing and Galar, which is something we have been waiting on! We discuss how the length of Adventure Week may have overstayed its welcome! That being said, there was definitely some ups and downs in the event, with Shadow Lugia Raids being broken in the earliest timezones, resulting in a Shadow Lugia that couldn't be defeated. Poor, poor, New Zealand.   The Worlds Event is up next and there is a ton to do, both in game an out. Trainers can earn up to 3 Timed Researches by watching Twitch Streams of the event over the weekend. We break it all down and let you know how to get the most out of the event, while supporting the stream and co-streamers at the same time! You will also be shocked to hear that Adam actually likes Scuba Pikachu!   Beldum Community Day is this weekend and you should play. Enough said.   For the Raiders this week we put together a little Raid Guide and Battle Party for Mega Kangaskhan. This is an important Raid Boss not only because it is a cool Mega, but because it is a regional! You will not want to miss out on this one as it only comes around every so often! You only need one other Trainer (with leveled counters) to take it out, so use up those Daily free passes!   Finally we revisit Wayfarer Abuse, and how there has been a string of new screenshots showing absolutely out of control POI clusters. We discuss how this happens and how damaging it is to the map and gameboard. Lured Up Podcast 316 Record Date - 8/8/2024 Publish Date - 8/11/2024   If battling Team GO Rocket is your thing then you have been lucky all week. With Adventure Week being Taken Over by Team GO Rocket, this week was packed with new Shadows and the chase for Giovanni and his Shadow Cresselia. The big news of the week however, warns you not to do too many Team GO Rocket encounters as it could get you banned. We dive in headfirst and talk about how this ban is not too difficult to trigger if you are spending a day grinding the event.   Mega Rayquaza came back in non-Elite Raids and it ended up being a successful day of gaming for many. With a Raid Hour format and Elite Raid style scheduling, it turned out to be an all new type of Raid Event. Time will tell if this will become the new normal, but it definitely felt great to have some scheduled and dedicated Raid windows.   Beldum Community Day Classic has been announced and this Pokémon will absolutely bring Trainers out to play. With Mega Metagross on the horizon, plus excellent use in PvP and PvE, this is a chance for different disciplines of Trainers to come together for a Community Day experience.    We wrap up with a conversation about some typos in Niantic Tweets, which when corrected, become easy bait for the Twitter mob to gobble up. Over the last few weeks we have seen a ton of activity come from from Niantic Support, retracting and clarifying many bits of communication along with explaining gameplay issues. Sometimes, it would be better to NOT hear from Niantic.   Adventure Week: https://pokemongolive.com/en/post/adventure-week-2024/  Adventure Week, Taken Over: https://bit.ly/LU315Takeover Rocket Bans: https://bit.ly/LU316Bans  Mega Rayquaza Update: https://bit.ly/LU315Rayquaza  August Content Update: https://bit.ly/LU316August  Worlds Event: https://bit.ly/LU316Worlds Beldum Community Day Classic: https://bit.ly/LU316Beldum Shiny Shadow Archen Take 1: https://bit.ly/LU316ShinyArchen  Shiny Shadow Archen Take 2: https://bit.ly/LU316NotShinyArchen  British Shadow Shiny Archen Take 3: https://bit.ly/LU316BritishShinyArchen  Save the Dates: https://bit.ly/LU316SaveTheDates    LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Paul Bhatt   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 315 Record Date - 7/31/2024 Publish Date - 8/2/2024   With Mega Lucario Raid Day behind us, the Ultra Unlocks and GO Fest Season is officially behind us. We had an exceptionally busy June and July leading up to the big events, but now August looks to be a time that we can all breathe and chill out a bit. We start off the episode sharing our experiences with both Strength of Steel and Mega Lucario, as our luck was drastically different from one another.   We discussed last week how Adventure Week looked kind of weak, but that was before we had the announcement for the Team GO Rocket takeover that was coming along for the ride. Shadow Cresselia makes its debut and Shadow Lugia returns along with a slew of new Shadow Pokémon and the ability to TM away Frustration. Between Lucario and a ton of Shadows, both Battlers and Raiders will have plenty to work through.   The big news of the week however is Niantic flipping on how they are handling the Mega Rayquaza make good event. With an announcement that no Trainer saw coming, Niantic has dropped the Elite Raid format and have moved to a Raid Hour format, allowing up to 20 remote Raids on the day. PLENTY to unpack here, so strap in and get good!   Ultra Unlock 2 - Strength of Steel: https://bit.ly/LU313StrengthOfSteel  Ultra Unlock 3 - Mega Lucario Raid Day: https://bit.ly/LU313MLucario  Niantic Support Mega Lucario: https://bit.ly/LU315SupportMegaLucario  Adventure Week: https://pokemongolive.com/en/post/adventure-week-2024/  Adventure Week, Taken Over: https://bit.ly/LU315Takeover Mega Rayquaza Update: https://bit.ly/LU315Rayquaza  Mega Ray Announcement: https://bit.ly/LU315MegaRayAnnouncement  Poke The Bear: https://bit.ly/LU315PokeTheBear    LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Paul Bhatt   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 314 Record Date - 7/24/24 Publish Date - 7/28/28   August content may have been announced to minimal fanfare, but July is closing out strong with the remaining Ultra Unlock events! Strength of Steel has us chasing down Togedamaru as we prep to Raid our fannies off for Mega Lucario. August looks to be the calm after the storm as we see a lot of repeat Pokémon returning to raids and an Adventure Week that seems a bit lighter than usual.   Safari Zones have been announced in Indonesia and South Korea, which makes us all want to be world travelers to take part. With both a City Safari and a Safari Zone being announced, it will be interesting to see how the Safari branded events return to the states. With Philadelphia being such an incredible memory, we can only hope that we see another US city get the Safari treatment soon.   As we work through August we see that Popplio Community Day and Adventure Week have been detailed so far, however it appears that August may be the time to take a breather and back off the grind a bit. Time will tell to see if the month ends up performing better IRL than it does on paper.    FInally we peak into some issues that the game is been having by jumping over to the Niantic Support Twitter account. When digging a bit further we see that the Known Issues page is no more, and the Twitter account becoming more active. Could this be the new normal? While a very outdated GBL Known Issues page still exists, 2023 World Champ AXN filmed a very pointed video, asking for Niantic to work on GBL ahead of Worlds next month. While we thought things had improved, AXN shared a Tweek during our livestream that tells a different story.   Ultra Unlock 1 - Better Together: https://bit.ly/LU313BetterTogether  Grow Together Ticket: https://bit.ly/LU313GrowTogether  Tynamo Community Day: https://bit.ly/LU311Tynamo  Ultra Unlock 2 - Strength of Steel: https://bit.ly/LU313StrengthOfSteel  Ultra Unlock 3 - Mega Lucario Raid Day: https://bit.ly/LU313MLucario  Mega Lucario Battle Party: https://bit.ly/LU314MLucario  Safari IRL Events: https://bit.ly/LU314SafariEvents  Adventure Week: https://pokemongolive.com/en/post/adventure-week-2024/  Popplio Community Day: https://bit.ly/LU314Popplio  Mega Rayquaza Elite Raid Make Up: https://bit.ly/LU313MRayquazaMakeUp AXN on GBL: https://bit.ly/LU314AXN  Niantic Support Check In: https://bit.ly/LU314NianticSupport  Niantic Help Center: https://bit.ly/LU314HelpCenter  LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Paul Bhatt   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. We start by recapping our GO Fest: Global experiences and how coming right out of NYC has been a bit much on our bodies and wallets. Those that were at GO Fest: NYC the previous week are most likely still sunburned and sore. Our eyes however must stay looking forward as there is another full slate of content coming to Pokémon GO.   The stage is set for the 3 Ultra Unlocks, and they couldn't be more diverse. The first unlock brings us a new Pokémon line, the second unlock brings us a new Shiny, and the third unlock brings us a new Mega. Let the hype train begin!   Mega Rayquaza's make good event has been scheduled and it comes with minimal fanfare. The reaction to the event is mixed, with online communities still pushing for the removal of the mechanic altogether, while IRL communities are already planning their next meetup.   GO Fest Global: https://bit.ly/LU313Global  Fusing Necrozma: https://bit.ly/LU313Fusion  Ultra Unlock Timeline: https://bit.ly/LU313Unlocks  Ultra Unlock 1 - Better Together: https://bit.ly/LU313BetterTogether  Grow Together Ticket: https://bit.ly/LU313GrowTogether  Ultra Unlock 2 - Strength of Steel: https://bit.ly/LU313StrengthOfSteel  Ultra Unlock 3 - Mega Lucario Raid Day: https://bit.ly/LU313MLucario  Tynamo Community Day: https://bit.ly/LU311Tynamo  Mega Rayquaza Elite Raid Make Up: https://bit.ly/LU313MRayquazaMakeUp  Hardcore Raiders Banned: https://bit.ly/LU313HardcoreBanned    LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Paul Bhatt   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 311 Record Date - 6/27/2024 Publish Date - 6/30/2024   Another news bomb went off this week as Trainers prep for GO Fest: NYC. We have our July Content Update as well as a few events worth of details to run through, which means this episode is rapid fire with news and updates. We begin with a recap of Scorching Steps and how no matter how you shake it, egg events are not something that many Trainers look forward to. Even with Shiny Larvesta hatching out of 2, 5, and 10km eggs, the sparkles were dry for many.   Our July Content Update is heavily weighted on GO Fest happenings, including GO Fest: Global and a three part Ultra Unlock. We run through everything we know so far this month on other events, including Aquatic Paradise and the return of Ultra Beasts. Niantic is keeping their foot on the gas without letting up for GO Fest, as we have a ton of events happening before and after NYC. Not sure we want a break in the action, but if we did, Niantic isn't giving it to us.   Niantic is partnering with Play! Pokémon to launch in person PVP at local game stores. Starting July 1st, we will be able to see events on the Campfire map, continuing with the hopes of bridging the gap between Play! Pokémon and Niantic. Here's to hoping that local game stores embrace PGO and promote events along with the TCG and other non-Pokémon franchises.   Finally we talk GO Fest and our New York State of Grind 2 happening on Saturday afternoon. We will be at the Notable Trainer Meet & Greet each day from 10am-12pm, and hope you can join us at 1pm on Saturday as we trek from Randall's Island to Nintendo NYC! Lured Up Podcast 310 Record Date - 6/20/2024 Publish Date - 6/23/2024   June is definitely not the calm before the GO Fest storm as we have had non stop events like Spelunker's Cove and Scorching Steps. We take a look at what makes these events tick and how we can tell the difference between a filler event and an event that actually has substance. The 8th Anniversary Event looks to be a much needed step in the right direction, bringing a comprehensive lineup of bonuses and features. One thing that has been missing from our game screens lately, is new Pokémon in the wild.   Mega Rayquaza is coming back at the end of the month and the Community is still salty about Elite Raids. While the majority on social are clambering against the Elite Raid decision, in-person communities are already planning to have an amazing day of Raiding with their Communities. The differences between actual IRL Communities and those that virtue signal for them on Twitter is more clear than ever. While Elite Raids are far from being universally loved, it still asks the question of how do you make this game difficult and how can you keep things exclusive?   Michael Steranka sat with Tom Phillips of Eurogamer and discussed some of the most relevant topics in the Community zeitgeist. While it was refreshing to hear questions being asked that matter to the Community, Steranka did often play the PR card and didn't divulge much, leading to an overall feeling of, “We are working on it”, as a response to every question that was asked. Niantic has asked us to have faith in the process before, but this time the Community is more demanding than ever.   Finally we wrap things up with a Raid Guide and Battle Party for Mega Rayquaza! Ice is all you need to worry about here and it will make sense to support that with a Mega of your own. We look to both GO Hub and Pokébattler for tips on what to bring. Lured Up Podcast 309 Record Date - 6/13/24 Publish Date - 6/19/24 This month is moving fast and we have a ton of events to get through before GO Fest NYC. This week brought us Slumbering Sands and Goomy Community Day, but then landed us directly into Spelunker's Cove. The second half of the month will also be busy with Scorching Steps and Cyndaquil Community Day Classic. It would be impossible to forget about Mega Rayquaza coming to Elite Raids, which will close things out for June with a bang. The Wayfarer Community has taken the front row on social media this week as a Trainer's posting of their suspension. In typical fashion, some Trainers on Twitter rushed to their support, looking for a small opportunity for them to champion for the Trainer they think was incorrectly suspended as well as being able to bad mouth Niantic. While all the mud was flying on social, the Trainer in question posted screenshots with Niantic Aaron, which inadvertently proved that the OP was suspended with proper reasoning. Right about then was when some of the loudest Trainers on Twitter fell silent. Lured Up Podcast 308 Record Date - 6/5/2024 Publish Date - 6/9/2024   We are back in the saddle and ready to ride! We are excited to be back to our weekly schedule and pumping out podcasts! Thanks to everyone for baring with us as Ken finished his move!   The motherload of info dropped this past week with Shared Skies being announced as the 15th Season of Pokémon GO. We have plenty to dig through as we have our June content update as well as details on the first few events of the season. We begin with a recap of the first event of the month, Stadium Sights. While we enjoyed this event, we weren't able to capture a Shiny Emolga. Add another chase to our running list.   Save the dates have been released for this season's Community Days, and we have Goomy and Cyndaquil on the schedule for June. While May saw a ton of XP events, it looks like June will be all about the Stardust. This month will absolutely keep us busy as we ramp up to GO Fest. Make sure you stay tuned for our GO Fest announcements coming soon!   Up next on the calendar is Slumbering Sands, which brings us new costume Pokémon and a new Shiny! Timed Research will be delivered thanks to the GO Plus+ which is reminiscent of the Sleeping Snorlax event from a year ago. We also have a $2 Timed Research, which we both agree is a fair price when you factor in the gameplay experience, items, and rewards.    Looking ahead we have Scorching Steps, which while an Egg Event, seems to be making it a bit easier to deal with. There are a spread of chase Pokémon available during this event, including Shiny Larvesta which will show up in 2km, 5km, and 10km eggs, as well as Turtanator, which can be chased via Field Research. All in all, we are pretty hyped for this event, and think it will be a nice lead in to the return of Mega Rayquaza.   There were a few tidbits of miscellaneous news to cover including winning a personalized PokéStop at GO Fest: Madrid, the GBL Season update, and Trainer losing their account to a hacker. We knew comparisons would be made to FleeceKing and the Community won't let us forget.   Mega Rayquaza is the big topic of the week as we discuss the ups and downs that come with an Elite Raid release. Lured Up Podcast 306 Stream Date - 5/8/24 Publish Date - 5/12/24   As we approach the final weeks of The Season of Wonder, we discuss the overall flow and cohesion of the Season. Most notably, the Rediscover Campaign has reached its finale with the release of the improved AR experience. All of the new releases that we have seen this season are still sitting in the shadow of GO Fest, which won't even happen until next Season.   Rivals week brought us a divers encounter pool and some motivation to knock out some GBL sets. It's always nice to when GBL events roll around because it really brings the best and worst of the community out, and it is always entertaining.    Flock Together Research Day brings a nice pool of Flying Type Pokémon and the inevitable Shiny Hunt. This event looks to be a promising update to the now recurring Research Day. Catching Wonders is up next after a small stretch of vanilla spawns. The announcement of Bounsweet and Spanish language support round out our new of the week.   We wrap things up with a discussion about the new PokéCoin Paid Research that brings back a poor return along with a terrible condition… that you must have 3 or less Field Research in your stack when the day turns over. Lured Up Podcast 305 Stream Date - 4/23/2024 Publish Date - 4/26/2024   When the Rediscover GO trailer dropped the Community was hyped and social was filled with speculation and hope of how the game would be updated. The Rediscover Yourself campaign was first up, and we are sad to say that it was one of Niantic's biggest misses to date. This isn't poor servers or a latency filled experience, but rather a slew of unpopular decisions that Niantic has made to advance their new Avatar update. We will take a dive down the Community rabbit hole at the end of the episode.   We start things off with a recap of our Bellsprout Community Day experiences, and how triple Stardust is always a popular bonus. Our first gameplay story of the week is about how Sustainability Week has changed over the years, and unfortunately not for the better. We look back to 2021 when the event actually had a real world component to it by partnering with non profits to promote cleaning up the environment. Each year since then the event has lost some of its magic, culminating in this year's event, which seems to be falling flat. Being overshadowed by the Rediscover Kanto spawns didn't help things either.   Cleffa Hatch Day will be rounding out the month taking place during the final weekend of April. The big story of the week takes us back to the Community reaction to the Rediscover Yourself update. From missing genders, to clipping assets, to a very strange art style, there isn't much if anything that is getting high praises this week. While inclusivity may have been the goal of this update, it may have backfired.   We look to a pair of articles from GO Hub that cut to the chase and identify many of the issues that the Community has with the update. The site also touches on the sensitive nature and purpose of the update outside of simply an avatar graphical update. The backlash online has been significant, and Niantic has been getting dragged on this one, with a lot of toxic energy fueling some pretty negative stuff. To be plain, this week has been a disaster.   We want to be clear that we really believed in this update, and see the importance of greater options when it comes to character creation. We also identify however, that the execution of the update completely replacing the existing Avatar aesthetic rather than simply being in addition to it, has us all scratching our heads as to why this Niantic handled it like this. There are other important things to discuss as well regarding the sale of digital goods and how purchased items may not look or fit the avatar in the same way that originally influenced the purchase. There is a lot to unpack here.   Bellsprout Community Day - https://bit.ly/LU304Bellsprout  Sustainability Week 2021 - https://bit.ly/LU305Sustainability2021  Sustainability Week 2022 - https://bit.ly/LU305Sustainability2022 Sustainability Week 2023 - https://bit.ly/LU305Sustainability2023  Sustainability Week 2024 - https://bit.ly/LU305Sustainability2024  Cleffa Hatch Day - https://bit.ly/LU305Cleffa Rediscover GO - https://bit.ly/LU305RediscoverGO  GO Hub's Hot Take - https://bit.ly/LU305GOHubAvatar  GO Hub's Follow Up - https://bit.ly/LU305AvatarFeedback  Rediscover Kanto - https://bit.ly/LU305RediscoverKanto  Turkey Play Store - https://bit.ly/LU305Turkey    LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Paul Bhatt   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 304 Streamed Live - 4/9/24 Audio/VoD - 4/13/24 This was a massive week for both events and announcements! We begin today's episode with a recap of our last week of gameplay including Sizable Surprises and Bagon Community Day. Wh will have a few days of vanilla spawns before we hit the Bug Out and the debut of Mega Heracross. We will get you prepped and ready to get through the first half of April. Niantic struggled with the timing of the announcement, but Bellsprout will be the April's Community Day Pokémon. While maybe not every Trainer's favorite pick, the fact that Victreebel will learn Magical Leaf is pretty fitting for the 4/20 event date. We open a discussion about the level cap and how it has been nearly 4 years since the GO Beyond update. It surely seems as if Niantic has been throwing a lot of XP our way, which may mean a level cap increase is imminent. We riff on if an increase is due, and the impact it could have on both new and veteran Trainers. After being teased during the Ultra Beast Incursion in Los Angeles back in 2022, Necrozma has been announced to debut at Pokémon GO Fest 2024. While it may create more questions than it answers, this announcement is pretty exciting and just gave us something to set our Raiding sights on in NYC. We close things out with a Mega Heracross Raid Guide and Battle Party. With Mega Heracross getting a Raid Day and entering the Mega Raid rotation, you are going to want to get a few hundred Mega Energy to place a few Heracross into your Mega Rotation. Being double weak to flying, it is time to bring out those Mega Rayquaza that you worked so hard for last year! Lured Up Podcast 302 Video Streamed Live - 3/27/2024 Audio Podcast Published - 3/29/2024   We had plenty happening on and off the screen this week! We have plenty to unpack and plenty to compare opinions over! We begin with a recap of Weather Week and our current feelings on Verdant Wonders. Is Zarude the new Galarian Mr. Mime? With a $7.99 Ticket and a boring task progression, Zarude may take the cake as the most overpriced ticket when you combine it with the Wonder Ticket and other one offs that are constantly being hurled our way.   The April Content Update is here and there is plenty to dig into. Next month will bring us a new Mega, first time Shiny Legendaries, and a spattering of events to keep every type of Trainer engaged. How happy they will be is a different story, as Some Trainers are starting to feel the burn of the same old, same old for the last 7 years.   As we peek into our early April Events like Sizeable Surprises and Bagon Community Day Classic, we can both agree that the month will be starting off strong. With Bagon having the ability to help new Trainers hit their Dragon-Type medal and end-game Trainers hunt for the perfect Mega ready Salamence.   After touching on a few International tidbits of news, we dig into the big topic of the week. PGO Twitter's Super-Villian, MasterWarlord01 has struck again. We look back on the FleeceKing situation and how it created a lot more concerns than just those regarding security. With many Trainer's feeling like chopped liver about Fleece's special treatment, we try to look at it objectively, to validate their feelings, but counterpoint for Niantic. With MasterWarlord01 striking again, it is a mystery as to what will happen and if Niantic will make a statement.   Verdant Wonders - https://bit.ly/LU302VerdantWonders Taken Over - https://bit.ly/LU302TakenOver Poor APAC - https://bit.ly/LU302ZoeAPAC  April Content Update - https://bit.ly/LU302April  Bagon CDC - https://bit.ly/LU302BagonCDC Sizeable Surprises - https://bit.ly/LU302Sizeable Ph. Thank you for your patience!   There is plenty to catch up on including our GO Tour gameplay, Research Day, and thoughts on the Horizon event. Niantic definitely has no interest in slowing things down post GO Tour as March is looking strong and packed with  events. While we work through the Horizons tie-in event, we can prep for Weather Week and the return of the Primals. Plenty to be excited for and lots of decisions to make regarding how to approach prepping for the things.   The Wonder Ticket has been causing quite a stir as Niantic is continuing to test out different monetization styles as we shift to a ticket based gameplay pattern. While we aren't talking big bucks, there seems to be a shift in what we are spending our money on, even if we are still spending the same amount. The question is whether or not the consumables that can be earned through ticketed events can provide the same results as spending for them a la carte.   Pikachu PH. Lured Up Podcast 299 Record Date - 2/6/2024 Publish Date - 2/9/2024   Lunar New Year is here and at the time of this recording, are still working our way through the Global Challenge. Writing this description after the goal has been met and the bonuses not being well received, let's enjoy our blissful ignorance in not yet hearing Twitter's cries about it. Chansey Community Day was a fan favorite and great time!   This weekend brings us Hisuian Decidueye Raid Day which also falls on Super Bowl Sunday here in the USA. Mix this with Enamorus on Valentine's Day and Twitter may have a melt down! With previous Hisuian Raid Days going well, even with the Super Bowl, we don't think Decidueye will perform any different.   The Carnival of Love is up next and you will want to make sure you get your Heart Trim Furfrou and Heart Pattern Spinda. You will only have a few days to grind and then you may have to wait an entire year for another chance.    We save the dates for next Season's Community Days and notable events. We speculate on whether or not we will see the, “every-other month” Starter trend continue. April is looking to be a busy month, and we even get a 4/20 Community Day.   Lunar New Year - https://bit.ly/LU298Lunar  RaspberryWeiner - https://bit.ly/LU299Meme  Chansey Community Day - https://bit.ly/LU299Chansey Timeless Travels - https://bit.ly/LU299TimelessTravels Hisuian Decidueye - https://bit.ly/Lu298Decidueye  Carnival of Love - https://bit.ly/LU299Carnival  Enamorus Elite Raids - https://bit.ly/LU299Enamorus Save The Date - https://bit.ly/LU299SaveTheDate  Spacial Rend - https://bit.ly/LU299SpacialRend  LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Paul Bhatt   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. Lured Up Podcast 298 Record Date - 1/30/24 Publish Date - 2/2/24   Taken Treasures was a ton of fun and was the perfect close to January. As we close out the month, we need to get ready to grind because February will be an onslaught of events. Pacing has been over the top every month for the last few years and the barrage of events will continue into 2024.   We start with a runthrough of the February Content Update from the Official Pokémon GO Twitter account. While the final Eggs-pedition Access of the Season offers a web store twist, Lunar New Year is looking to be a winner of an event. We will have Chansey Community Day this weekend, but we will be able to enjoy a few days of Vanilla Spawns before the release of Drampa on 2/5.   The Road to Sinnoh will be our precursor to the Global Sinnoh Tour, with the return of Global Challenges. The blog leaves a lot of information out as we will need to play through the event to unlock the different encounters. While some roads lead to Sinnoh, others lead to nowhere. Another 1,000+ trip Route was just removed from the game for inaccessibility. We have no idea why this continues to happen, but it's a real bummer.   The big news of the day was a wild tweet from FleeceKing that has rocked Twitter. The reactions to it have been wild, and we are watching the madness unfold in real time during the recording of this episode. It's been a bizarre day in the Twitter Community, and we are here for it.   Taken Treasures - https://bit.ly/LU297TakenTreasures February Content Update - https://bit.ly/LU298February  Eggs-pedition Access - https://bit.ly/LU298Eggspedition  Lunar New Year - https://bit.ly/LU298Lunar  Hisuian Decidueye - https://bit.ly/Lu298Decidueye  Road To Sinnoh - https://bit.ly/LU298RoadToSinnoh  Route Removed - https://bit.ly/LU298Routes Fleeceking Drama - https://bit.ly/LU298FleeceKing  LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Paul Bhatt   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc. 297. Both Can Exist

Lured Up Podcast 297 Record Date - 1/16/2024 Publish Date - 1/20/2024   We have a nice combination of news and commentary this week as the both the blogs and social media have been on fire. We start with a recap of the last week of gameplay including Dazzling Dream and its questionable choice of a Hatch Collection Challenge. The Community was very upset about this being time gated, as well as the target hatches being in 7k eggs.    Adventure Effects are proving to be more polarizing than we originally thought. Once the initial excitement settled down, the social media sentiment took a major turn. It opened up the conversation of if the Effects were worth the investment, with many thinking the return just isn't worth it. This is mainly influenced by only looking at the rewards and not the experience, a divide that is becoming more and more common in non-casual circles.   Annihilape will be here next week and it looks to be an exciting addition to a Battler's arsenal. With relevance in all three leagues, you are going to want to catch multiple specs of this one! We look at GO Hub's analysis of what you should expect heading into Raging Battles and GO Battle Week.    Taken Treasures will close out the month and is another two for one event as it is paired with a Team GO Rocket Takeover. Solid bonuses and Raid bosses will make this a good time, while the Battlers will finally have another chance to TM away Frustration.    We close the show with another heated debate from social media. A growing belief that ALL paid Research in Pokémon GO should be Special Research. We take a look at the reasons behind the feeling, and how both Paid Timed and Special Research can exist at the same time. Once again, we see the experience of the event being lost in the shuffle, as many are simply looking at the rewards as if they were making a direct transaction. Let us know your thoughts on the matter!   Dazzling Dream - https://bit.ly/LU297DazzlingDream  Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Day - https://bit.ly/LU296HisuianTyphlosion Adventure Effects - https://bit.ly/LU297AdventureEffects Poke The Bewear - https://bit.ly/LU297PokeTheBewear  GO Hub's take on Adventure Effects - https://bit.ly/LU297GOHubAE  Raging Battles - https://bit.ly/LU296RagingBattles  Annihilape Analysis - https://bit.ly/LU297Annihilape  Taken Treasures - https://bit.ly/LU297TakenTreasures  PokéJungle on Paid Timed Research - https://bit.ly/LU297PokeJungle  Joe Merrick on Paid Timed Research - https://bit.ly/LU297JoeMerrick    LuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com     Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639    Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!   Support the show by bookmarking and shopping at TCGPlayer.com using this link - https://bit.ly/TCGPlayerAffiliate    https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork    Hosts Ken Pescatore Adam Tuttle   Writer and Producer Ken Pescatore   Executive Producer  Paul Bhatt   Show music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons   ▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾ http://instagram.com/GameChops http://twitter.com/GameChops http://soundcloud.com/GameChops http://facebook.com/GameChops http://youtube.com/GameChops http://www.gamechops.com   Intro Music Lake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix)  Tetracase GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/ https://soundcloud.com/tetracase  https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0   Break Music National Park Mikel & GameChops GameChops - Poké & Chill http://smarturl.it/pokechill https://twitter.com/mikel_beats   Outro Music Vast Poni Canyon CG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix) GameChops - Ultraball http://gamechops.com/ultraball/  http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beats https://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity Pokémon And All Respective Names are Trademark and © of Nintendo 1996-2024 Pokémon GO is Trademark and © of Niantic, Inc.
