Already some big news following the Day of Reckoning: Anthony Joshua will square off with Francis Ngannou. Is there more left in Wilder's tank? Will Zhang retire Wilder? Where do we rate Parker with this win? Ryan G opts out of a Haney fight in favor of the more lucrative (but easier) fight with Rolly Romero. Barroso bounces back; Beterbiev and Callum Smith prepare to do the thing; Inoue goes undisputed again, but a solemn reminder of the dangers of boxing in the comain; ProBoxTV starts the year; Tenshin returns.
Our conversation with Tenshin Reb Anderson, one of the most prominent contemporary Zen Buddhist teachers and scholars, author, dharma leader and former abbot, included a deep dive into the belief and practice of Buddhism, with a focus on the wisdom in it for us all, along with your questions and comments.

Welcome back to The Soft Focus Podcast. On today's show, Corinne is interviewing Tenshin Fletcher of the Yokoji Zen Mountain Center in Mountain Center, CA. Tenshin is the director and abbot of the fully accredited Zen Center, training individuals interested in continuing the practice. Part of his role as abbot is hosting regular dharma talks, many of which are cataloged on their free, monthly podcast: Yokoji Zen Dharma Talks. Cette semaine dans ABDR, on debriefe évidemment l'évènement de kick de l'année, la victoire de Tenshin et son impact sur l'avenir du kickboxing Japonais.
This week Silas and Christian and joined by Spenser to recap the kickboxing card headlined by the super-fight between Tenshin Nasukawa and Takeru Segawa, as well as the absurdly violent UFC fight night card in Austin, Texas, headlined by Calvin Kattar vs Josh Emmet.
Long ago we said if Tenshin Vs Takeru were to ever happen we would hop back on these microphones and talk about it. Well it happened so here we are. In this episode we go over how hard it was to actually find a way to watch Tenshin Vs Takeru. Then we move a long to recapping the big fight and how it made us feel afterward, we also covered UFC Austin Kattar Vs Emmett, UFC 275, how much we've been enjoying boxing and a potential third Pereira Vs Adesanya matchup and much more. Thank you guys for rocking with us throughout the years. I hope you all enjoy the episode! Cette semaine dans Au Bord Du Ring, on débriefe le K'Festa et le Rise et on discute de l'avenir du kickboxing avec Romain.
Don't call it a comeback (no don't, really) as I was on holiday NOT hiatus, I am not going to 'do a Togashi' on you faithful listeners. We are back to regularly scheduled programming, with a look at ONE: X and Tenshin's final bout for RISE. It's a mainly kickboxing centered episode, but has some small MMA and Muay Thai discussion too (hence the 'Sorta') Be sure to give this a five-star rating and a thumbs up if your preferred podcast platform allows you to, as that will help make the show more visible to others. In this talk on the second day of the passing of Baigaku Junyu Osho (Maezumi Roshi's Brother), Tenshin Roshi discusses this benefactor's massive contributions to Zen Buddhism in the West, his unflagging support of Yokoji Zen Mountain Center throughout the years, and perhaps most importantly what it means to step up and live an enlightened life. How will you do it? Will you do it? Are you willing to be a target? Who among us will take this forward and make sure it never dies, this practice, this life, this enlightenment of ours? Are you ready? Listen to the Abbot of Zen Mountain Center as he reflects on the meaning of practice, the history of Yokoji, and more from the Rohatsu Sesshin of 2021.

Tenshin Nasukawa is a Japanese kickboxer and is currently making headlines this week as Floyd Mayweather's newest opponent. While Japanese fans will be watching their boy Tenshin do what he does best, it has been reported although not confirmed that Floyd may be exploring uncharted territory. While several experts, as well as regular joes online, doubt it, rumor has it that Floyd may be trying MMA. Whether this is true or not, this is going to be a fight for the ages. Literally, the two have an age difference of twenty-one years. But what makes that fight especially interesting is that Tenshin is a relative unknown. When the fight was first announced, many people from around the world were asking who Tenshin Nasukawa was, with several news publications referring to him in the headlines as an actual mystery man. If you're one of those people typing his name into Google for the first time, you'll be happy to know that Mr. Mayweather has his work cut out for him, Since the age of five, Tenshin has been cleaning up in martial arts, practically wiping the floor with fighters from around the world and since 2014 he has dominated the kickboxing ring. With a current record of 27 and 0, this kid has little stopped him from being one of the deadliest fighters in the history of his sport. That is if Floyd puts a hurting on him come fight night this New Year's Eve. To get into the spirit of good ol' prize fighting, we decided to do some research into this young twenty-year-olds beginnings. And to think he was kicking in the ring before he even graduated high school.
On November 4th, 2018, just out of the blue, it was announced that Floyd Mayweather would be coming out of retirement but as a mixed-martial artist. But this is not a Rocky Balboa story of the underdog getting his one and only shot in the ring. Tenshin Nasukawa is known as a force to be reckoned with in his home country. After defeating Japan's Rizin Bantamweight Champ by unanimous decision, Tenshin is currently sitting as the Featherweight World Champ.
Andrew & Christian are joined MyMMANews' and Broadened Horizin host Drake Riggs to discuss all things RIZIN 24. Going through the show by weight class, they discuss who looked good in their fights, who did not, the FOTY candidate between Yusuke Yachi vs. Juri Ohara, what is next for Yachi, the BAFFLING split decisions that impacted some fights, SUDARIO VS DYLAN JAMES, and what can be next for Tenshin. Emotions. We all have them and, strangely, rarely want to admit their influence. When we re-acquaint ourselves with our emotional lives, then we gain untold mastery over the challenges of work and service. We also gain mastery over our service game - after all, service is an absolute economy of emotional exchange.Firstly, admit you have them all the time and that they determine basically all your decisions and behaviors. This might be unappealing since we can probably trace emotions back to every problem we've faced in our lives. But they are also a powerful ally and information source.Learn how mindfulness, self-development, and our success at doing almost anything is a matter of emotional mastery. And this doesn't mean learning to feel our preferred emotions, but having the capacity for the uncomfortable ones. This episode looks at powerful techniques for observing where and how emotions are actually happening and how to support ourselves like a friend would (rather than an adversary).Speaking of emotional mastery, that is a HUGE part of the new meditation and mindfulness membership program that I've been developing with Tenshin - as any mindfulness program worth its salt would prioritize. Andrew & Christian are joined MMA writer Drake Riggs to talk about the upcoming RIZIN 24 show from the Saitama Super Arena on 9/27. Then a discussion is held about what RIZIN can do to strengthen it's international relations with it's international fans. After all the fights are discussed from the kickboxing matches, to the crazy Sudario/James double debut HW match, the implications that could happen if Shoji beats Kai, Tenshin on NYE show, and more. Buddha activity is accepting that this conversation may never end, the conversation with evil. It isn’t just accepting it. It’s accepting working with it, it’s accepting responding to it appropriately.
Letting go – real letting go – is letting go that doesn’t abandon the pain. It’s being there completely with it and, through that complete compassion with it, pain is released, without being abandoned, or exiled or tampered with. Compassion respects pain, right now, the way it is. It lets it be. It doesn’t touch … Audio dharma by Tenshin Reb Anderson (2019/06/22) Read More »
