“Fearless” brings an ugly reality to light with today's discussion. The public beef between Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe reflects the consequence of sports television's embrace of “tha culture.” That's short for hip-hop culture: the art, style of dress, and mindset associated with popular commercial rap music. “Tha culture” foments violence, chaos, petty beefs, the prioritization of emotion over logic, and the justification of an immoral pursuit of money, power, and fame. Six years ago, Fox Sports 1 executive Jamie Horowitz, Skip Bayless, and Shannon Sharpe dove headfirst into “tha culture” with their debate show “Undisputed.” Horowitz paid rapper Lil Wayne to befriend Bayless and create a theme song for the show. Horowitz envisioned “Undisputed” as the synagogue for the marriage of sports and hip-hop. Since then, DJ Khaled's “All I Do Is Win” is now what Queen's “We Will Rock You” was in the 1980s and '90s. The change in genre provoked a cultural shift that has impacted everything around sports, including the broadcasters. Jason brings in “Fearless” soldier Royce White to discuss this influence and the embarrassing reactions to Skip Bayless' harmless tweet. “Fearless” contributor Steve Kim later joins the conversation with some advice to the offended. “At the end of the day, if you let Skip Bayless bother you that much — to perturb you to that level in your mind — then you are weak-minded.” Plus, Garrett Bush, co-host of “The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show,” went viral for expressing what he felt was being ignored by the mainstream media coverage of Damar Hamlin. In his emotional take, he accuses the NFL of making unfair contracts with its players. Jason disagrees and invites Garrett Bush to “Fearless” to hear him out. We want to hear from the Fearless Army!! Deshaun Watson gave Browns fans a sneak preview of the future Sunday against the Commanders, and the future looks bright. On a sunny, 62-degree day at FedEx Field, Watson threw three touchdown passes in the second half to secure a 24-10 victory over the Commanders and improve the Browns to 7-9. Both quarterbacks struggled in the first half. Watson went 3-of-8 for 23 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions for a 45.8 rating. Wentz went 6-of-10 for 62 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions for a 38.3 rating. Watson was also sacked four times, and Wentz once. The Commanders, who needed a victory to maintain a realistic shot at the playoffs, dropped to 7-8-1.Nick Chubb was dominant on the ground for the Browns but that's it. Literally it. He had two touchdown passes to Amari Cooper (3-of-4 targets for 105 yards, 2 TDs) and one to Donovan Peoples-Jones (1-of-3 targets, 13 yards, 1 TD). Watson finished 9 of 18 for 169 yards, three TDs, and a 122.5 rating. Next, The Browns close out their season Saturday or Sunday in Pittsburgh. Deshaun Watson has finally made his home debut for the Cleveland Browns in an AFC North clash with the Baltimore Ravens. Defense dominated the story early, as neither team found the end zone in the first 30 minutes of action. The second half wasn't much better, but the Browns did take home the dub. Cade York kicked two field goals while Justin Tucker missed an easy one to allow the Browns to take a 6-3 lead into the halftime locker room. Nick Chubb & Kareem Hunt were both held in check in the first half by a ferocious Ravens defense. Watson completed 13/18 passes for 105 yards in the half. He outgained Ravens QB Tyler Huntley. Recap of the Browns vs. Bengals game. Ja'Marr Chase and Joe Burrow both played important roles in the final outcome. Tune in to find out what was the turning point of the game was and how the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Cleveland Browns in the battle for Ohio. Keep your eye out for my more Cleveland Browns analysis tomorrow from 11 am- 1:00 pm on The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show. in the upcoming season!Joe Burrow finally figured out how to win the Battle of Ohio. With their 23-10 victory over the Browns, the Bengals effectively snuffed out the Browns flickering playoff hopes -- although at 5-8, they haven't been mathematically eliminated yet. The Bengals, in winning their fifth straight game, improved to 9-4 and snapped a five-game losing streak to the Browns. They had also lost eight of their last nine to the Browns, and Burrow couldn't get the Browns' monkey off his back. He's 3-0 against the Chiefs but couldn't get past Myles Garrett and Browns. That all changed on Sunday, despite the fact Burrow was without three of his top weapons in tight end Hayden Hurst, Tee Higgins (hamstring) and Tyler Boyd (finger). But Ja'Marr Chase, who sat out the 32-13 Browns victory on Halloween night, caught 10 of 15 targets for 119 yards and a touchdown.Burrow went 18 of 33 for 239 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT for an 85.3 rating.Deshaun Watson, in only his second game back after 700 days off, went 26 of 42 for 276 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT for a 79.1 rating. Nick Chubb rushed 14 times for only 34 yards. The Browns next opponent, the Ravens, beat the Steelers to improve to 9-4 and maintain their edge in the AFC North, but Lamar Jackson (knee) might still rest next Saturday.Trailing 23-10, Watson was intercepted by safety Jessie Bates III on a pass intended for Donovan Peoples-Jones with 13:39 left in the game and the Bengals in field goal territory. But after they moved to the Browns 31, the Browns got an interception of their own keep themselves in the game. Jadeveon Clowney tipped the pass and Deion Jones picked it off. Unfortunately for the Browns, they were unable to cash in on the opportunity. They marched to the Bengals' 6, but Watson threw three straight incompletions, including one to Amari Cooper out of the back of the end zone, and one to Donovan Peoples-Jones at the left corner when Cam Taylor-Britt broke up the pass. The Bengals extended their lead to 20-3 on a flea-flicker that caught the Browns defense off guard. Burrow handed the ball to Joe Mixon, who flipped it back to Burrow, who found receiver Trenton Irwin wide open over the middle of the field for a 45-yard touchdown. Safeties Grant Delpit and most other Browns bit on the run, and Irwin had no defender within 15 yards of him. But the Browns answered the flea flicker with a touchdown of their own — a 13-yarder by David Njoku, who dove for the pylon. The drive ended with three straight completions to Njoku, who had missed three of the last four games with injuries. It marked Watson's first touchdown pass. Learn more about your ad choices. In this episode Garrett Bush of The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show, Jeff Lloyd of The Locked On Browns Podcast, and John Kosko of PFF take a look at the Browns vs Buccaneers game and find out which Browns player had an off the chart PFF grade. Did Myles Garrett or Amari Cooper have a great game? Find out in this episode of the Locked On Browns Podcast!Jacoby Brissett wasn't seeking sympathy and he didn't want any ceremonial sendoff. After all, he's not leaving. The Browns gave him one anyway. Nick Chubb scored on a 3-yard touchdown run with 19 seconds left in overtime and Cleveland rallied Sunday to stun Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-17 in Brissett's final start before Deshaun Watson returns from his 11-game suspension.Afterward, the Browns gave Brissett a game ball before the popular 29-year-old channeled Brady, his former teammate in New England. “I mean this in no disrespect," Brissett said when asked how he felt after the comeback win. "But in the words of Tom Brady, that was (expletive) awesome. That was (expletive) awesome.” Chubb powered through a pile of bodies at the goal line as the Browns (4-7) sent Brissett off with a win as they transition to Watson, who was banned by the NFL for sexual misconduct allegations. He'll start next week in Houston, which traded him to Cleveland in March. So this was a special one for Brissett, who has been invaluable to the Browns during another turbulent season. “I'm obviously grateful for this opportunity and grateful for those men in that room,” said Brissett, who also threw a key block on receiver Anthony Schwartz's 31-yard TD run. “This was a great game to kind of end it on, but we have to stack them.”Chubb's short TD was set up when Brissett c onnected on a 45-yard pass to wide receiver Amari Cooper, who found himself wide open when Bucs cornerback Carlton Davis III slipped and fell near midfield. The Browns forced OT on tight end David Njoku's remarkable, one-handed TD catch with 32 seconds left in regulation. Njoku extended his left arm to haul in Brissett's 12-yard scoring strike in the back of the end zone. “I threw it, and I thought I threw it too high and I was about to start crying,” Brissett said. “I saw him pull it down, and I was like, ‘I could have ran up and kissed him.' Clearly I didn't.” Brady threw two touchdown passes, but couldn't get anything going in the 10-minute OT as the Bucs (5-6) were unable to keep their momentum going following a bye.“Seventeen points isn't going to do it,” Brady said. "It's been the same thing all year. We're not scoring enough points. Every play is an individual win or loss, and we're losing too many. There were too many plays where we were not on the right page, and we've got to correct that.” Led by All-Pro end Myles Garrett, who had 1 1/2 sacks, the Browns held Tampa Bay without a point on its final seven possessions.Garrett played the final minutes of regulation and OT in extreme pain after aggravating a shoulder injury sustained in a car crash. “It hurt really bad," said Garrett, who intends to put off surgery until after the season. “I thought I had broken something.” Brady completed 29 of 43 passes for 246 yards and was sacked three times.Brissett went 23 of 37 for 210 yards with one TD and an interception. Chubb finished with 116 yards on 26 carries.Brady opened the second half by completing his first six passes, including a 28-yarder to Mike Evans, who became the first Tampa Bay player to reach 10,000 yards receiving. The Buccaneers took a 17-10 lead when Brady connected with rookie Ko Kieft on a 5-yard scoring pass. Njoku extended his left arm to haul in Brissett's 12-yard scoring strike in the back of the end zone. Brady completed 29 of 43 passes for 246 yards and was sacked four times.Brissett, who began his career as one of Brady's backups in New England, went 23 of 37 for 210 yards. Chubb finished with 116 yards on 26 carries. The Buccaneers took a 17-10 lead when Brady connected with rookie Ko Kieft on a 5-yard scoring pass. In this video Garrett Bush of the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show and Jeff Lloyd of the Locked On Browns Podcast discuss the current state of the Cleveland Browns and their starting quarterback, Jacoby Brissett. You might be surprised to know just how good Jacoby Brissett has been since joining the Browns in December. Tune in to find out why I think he's been so successful and whether or not the Browns can keep this up. If you're a Browns fan, this is a must-watch video!Jacoby Brissett has Taken Flawed Browns Team as Far as He's Capable. Cleveland Browns quarterback Jacoby Brissett lit up the stat sheet with 324 yards passing and three touchdowns, but the team still fell short. It's an indictment of the defense and special teams, but it shows the limitations of a Brissett-led offense. Jacoby Brissett completed 68.2 percent of his passes, threw for 324 yards and three touchdowns and it wasn't enough to defeat the Buffalo Bills.. He did everything he could to help the Browns win this game and it wasn't enough to win, which is every bit an indictment of the current team in addition to illustrating what the Browns are still missing at the quarterback position.Brissett has overperformed expectations and negated any further conversations about acquiring another veteran quarterback. He's been valuable in a leadership role and excelled enough that Deshaun Watson was an after thought for most of his suspension, which was critical on a number of fronts. But baked into some of the success Brissett is having is the fact that defenses are allowing it by focusing all of their attention on stopping the bigger threat in running back Nick Chubb. Brissett threw for 324 yards and Chubb rushed for just 19 yards. Chubb chipped in 48 receiving yards, which was a pleasant surprise. The Browns had seven offensive drives that produced a combined three points. They were bookended by the first drive of the game which scored a touchdown, a Browns staple, and the last two drives that resulted in touchdowns when the Browns attempted to engineer a comeback. Brissett isn't the major reason the Browns didn't capitalize on those seven drives. He would've had another touchdown pass had either tight end Harrison Bryant or Pharaoh Brown been able to come down with back to back passes that hit them in the hands. The botched snap fumble had more to with Hjalte Froholdt playing at center in place of Ethan Pocic, who left the game with a knee injury. Brissett had nothing to do with the blocked field goal but he was involved in the drive that necessitated the attempt. The problem is that they struggle with consistency. Too much needs to go right with Brissett in order for them to succeed. A holding penalty, false start or sack too often ends an offensive drive for the Browns. Brissett was sharp in this game, but teams count on the fact that he's going to miss a few shots like the one to Bryant where he had a chance to catch a touchdown in the back of the end zone but couldn't get the second foot down as a result of a high throw caused by pressure.Brissett has done everything the Browns have asked. He is the quarterback that was in place as Amari Cooper proved to be the number one receiver the team has needed for years, saw David Njoku become a franchise tight end the Browns have desperately needed him to become and helped Donovan Peoples-Jones take the next step in his development, which may lead to a contract extension of his own. Brissett deserves credit for putting the offense in the position that Watson doesn't need to work miracles in order to succeed. If it's feasible Brissett can stay on as the backup for the Browns, that could be a move that is not only good karma for the Browns, but could a good will gesture that means something to the rest of the locker room. Nevertheless, Brissett is a backup for a reason. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

In this video, Garrett Bush of The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show and Jeff Loyd of the Locked on Browns Podcast be discuss what the Browns identity on offence should be when Deshaun Watson returns. Deshaun Watson is set to return to the NFL this season, and with that comes the question of what the Browns identity on offence should be. With Jacoby Brissett at the helm, the offence has been run predominantly through the air. However, with Watson back in the fold, the Browns will likely look to use him more in the passing game. In this video, we'll discuss what the Browns identity on offence should be when Deshaun Watson returns, and what that might mean for the team moving forward. When the 2022 season started, the ceiling for the Browns (3-6) was to hand off a playoff contending team to Watson in Week 13. But something closer to the basement has unfolded for a variety of reasons. The only thing that matters now is reality for the franchise. The brutal truth is Watson's return from an 11-game suspension is a starting point. It's an opportunity to put a team on the field around him and then accurately judge what pieces Watson can elevate, versus the positions the front office and coaching staff will need to revamp in the offseason. The fact remains that this no longer looks like a team that can be fixed by simply plugging Watson into a regular-season NFL game for the first time in 23 months. There are too many problems to be solved, ranging from coaching to talent to injuries.Adding a patience problem on top of all that isn't going to help anyone. Not Watson. Not head coach Kevin Stefanski. Not general manager Andrew Berry. And certainly not all of the Browns fans who are looking at the quarterback change as some kind of cure-all for this troubling and lethargic start.Of course, that's not what many Browns fans want to hear. There is a segment that wants to believe that splitting the next two games against the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and then forking over a 4-7 team to Watson in Week 13 sets up Cleveland for a transformational run down the stretch. That finishing flourish under Watson would have to assume the defense could suddenly stop opposing run games or that Watson shows no lag from his layoff. When completely healthy, Cleveland has some of that talent. More additions can be made this offseason. Not to mention whatever moves are necessary to shore up the run defense and the languishing of the defensive scheme that seems to be an extension of coordinator Joe Woods. But what has to be understood is that Watson isn't going to answer whether Jadeveon Clowney is a viable defensive piece beyond 2022. Watson isn't going to solve the deficit at defensive tackle. He can't make the offensive line healthier or add depth where it matters most. What Watson can do is the only things fans should expect him to do for the final six games of 2022. Play clean and mistake-free. Protect the football from turnovers. Develop a rhythm with Stefanski. Stay healthy and seek out answers about which skill position players fit his game the best. If he can do all of those things, it will be precisely what Cleveland needs from this brief window that is ultimately setting up 2023. Learn more about your ad choices. Browns blown out 39-17 by Dolphins to fall 3-6 and hurt playoff hopes with Deshaun Watson returning to practice this week. The Browns headed into the Dolphins game on Sunday knowing they'd need every victory they could possibly get to hand over a contender to Deshaun Watson, who returns to the practice field this week. It's finally time to blow up this roster and staff! In this episode Garrett Bush of the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show gives instant reaction the Browns vs. Dolphins matchup. For years the Cleveland browns have been one of the worst teams in the NFL. But this off season the Browns acquired Deshaun Watson and things seemed to be changing! The dolphins are definitely a very tough team, but the Browns organization needs to do a lot of soul searching to examine if Stefanski and Andrew Barry are the answer in Cleveland. But they were unable to build on the euphoria and hope from their 32-13 victory over the Bengals on Monday night football that improved them to 3-5 before their bye. Instead, they were blown out 39-17 by the Dolphins on Sunday to fall to 3-6 and put themselves in dire straits for making the playoffs. They remain in third place in the AFC North behind the Ravens (6-3) and Bengals (5-4), who were both on a bye. The Dolphins won their fourth straight to improve to 7-3. Jacoby Brissett now has two more starts before Watson takes over Dec. 4 in Houston with six games remaining. The Browns will likely need to win both of them to remain in the playoff conversation with a 5-6 mark for when their elite passer returns. It certainly won't be easy with Josh Allen and Tom Brady up next. The Browns travel to Buffalo on Sunday to face the Bills, and then host the Bucs, who evened their record at 5-5 with a victory over the Seahawks. The Browns came into the game knowing that they'd need to slow Miami's No. 2-ranked passing attack, led by Tua Tagovailoa and speedy receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Not only could they not do that, they had no answer for the Dolphins running game, which was 29th in the NFL heading in with only 86.9 yards per game. The Dolphins outrushed the Browns 195 to 112 and piled up 491 yards of offense to the Browns' 297. Brissett finished the day 22 of 35 passing for 212 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. He finished with an 89.2 rating and was sacked three times. With the Dolphins' brilliant new head coach Mike McDaniel -- the former Browns receivers coach — calling plays, Miami gashed the Browns on the ground with the one-two punch of Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson, who rushed for 65 and 119 yards, respectively, and averaged 8.1 and 7.0. Hill caught five passes for only 44 yards, but one was a TD catch. Waddle caught four passes for 66 yards. When the Dolphins weren't running all over the Browns, they were attacking the middle of the field, which they knew McDaniel would do. They were just powerless to stop it. Garrett Bush of The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show and Jeff Lloyd of The Locked on Browns Podcast give their Browns vs. Ravens Predictions. They also ask how Can The Browns Defense Slow Down Lamar Jackson? The Cleveland Browns are aiming to arrest a three-game slide as they travel to Maryland and face the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in Week 7. The Browns have lost their last three contests and hope to win against their division rival to move up in the AFC North. Here are our Browns Week 7 predictions as they take on the Ravens. The Browns' disappointing season reached a new low last week when they were defeated 38-15 by the New England Patriots headed by rookie backup QB Bailey Zappe. Given how bad the Browns' defense has been this season, it's difficult to imagine them doing any better here against Lamar Jackson. Remember that even if newly acquired Deion Jones makes his debut, Cleveland has allowed an average of 399 total yards (fifth-worst) and 30.3 points (third-worst) over the previous three games. On the other side of the field, the Ravens have occasionally looked impressive this season. However, they have yet to win back-to-back games. They were defeated in Week 6 by the New York Giants in a game where Baltimore produced 406 total yards to their opponent's 238. With all these in mind, here are our four bold predictions for the Browns in their Week 7 game against the Ravens.Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has been outstanding this season. So far, he leads the Ravens in both passing and running yards. Jackson currently has 1,277 yards throwing, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also has a completion rate of 62 percent. His best game was in Week 2 when he threw for 318 yards and had a 72 percent completion rate.In this game, Jackson will face a Browns pass defense that isn't great by any stretch. In fact, they have allowed 240 air yards a game this season. Even with guys like Denzel Ward and Grant Delpit, this secondary has just struggled big time. As such, Jackson has the potential to have a spectacular performance in this game. We expect him to pepper this Browns secondary non-stop and go upwards of 250+ passing yards. Browns DE Myles Garrett has an injured shoulder, but he still intends to play this week after exiting the game early last Sunday. Of course, his presence will be crucial for the Browns, who need to find any way to stifle Jackson. Garrett is obviously among the best pass rushers in the game, and he is coming off a game where he sacked Zappe twice. Despite his hurting shoulder, he should play here and still be a scary presence on defense. We have him meeting and greeting Jackson at least once in this game.Browns WR Amari Cooper has played in all six Browns games so far. He currently averages double-digit targets to go along with a touchdown in four of those contests. Cooper has a 28 percent target share and a 37 percent air yard share. That's a lot of weekly volume, and he's a favorite red-zone and end-zone target for Jacoby Brissett. Browns RB Nick Chubb is the driving force behind the Browns' offense. To illustrate, he has rushed for 649 yards and seven touchdowns on 110 attempts. He had been fairly consistent on the year, though he had his worst outing last week. He finished with only 56 yards and zero touchdowns against a determined Patriots ground defense. That won't change in Week 7, where the Browns need as much offense as they can get. It has been a few weeks since he has reached the 100-yard threshold, but we can imagine him doing that here against the Ravens. Take note that the Ravens have given up the second-most yards to wide receivers so far this season. That should have Cooper salivating. We also have him recording his fifth touchdown of the season. With all these in mind, here are our four bold predictions for the Browns in their Week 7 game against the Ravens. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has been outstanding this season. So far, he leads the Ravens in both passing and running yards. Jackson currently has 1,277 yards throwing, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also has a completion rate of 62 percent. His best game was in Week 2 when he threw for 318 yards and had a 72 percent completion rate. In this game, Jackson will face a Browns pass defense that isn't great by any stretch. We have him meeting and greeting Jackson at least once in this game. Browns WR Amari Cooper has played in all six Browns games so far. Garrett Bush of The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show and Locked On Browns Podcast joins Kevin Oestreicher of The Locked On Ravens to Preview The NFL Week 7 Matchup between the Browns vs. Ravens. Will Jacoby Brissett Rebound Against The Ravens? The Cleveland Browns visit the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7 of the 2022 NFL Season. The Cleveland Browns just lost to the New England Patriots in a game that was closer than the final score indicated. The Ravens just lost another game when they lead in the fourth quarter with the Giants coming back to win. This should be an interesting game with both teams needing to rebound. Let's take a look at the odds and make some picks and predictions for this game! In this video, we preview the Browns vs. Ravens game and ask the question: will Jacoby Brissett rebound against the Ravens? On today's Locked On Browns podcast, we discuss the Browns vs. Ravens game and ask the question: will Jacoby Brissett rebound against the Ravens? Many Browns fans are wondering if Brissett can succeed against a Ravens defense that has traditionally been very stingy against the Browns. Tune in to find out!The Baltimore Ravens are 6.5-point home favorites and are also at -280 on the money line. The over/under is also at 46.5. Baltimore being the favorites here and by that much makes a lot of sense because they have all the talent of a very good team, but just haven't been able to close out the games that they've lost. The over/under also makes sense because the Ravens have a very good offense and Cleveland can score as well, but they're just inconsistent. This spread could move, but it seems like it'll stay around this number.Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens PredictionThe pick: Baltimore -6.5The Cleveland Browns seem like they might be reeling and on a downward spiral. Baltimore has proven to collapse in the second half of games, but it seems like the Browns might be struggling way more. The Browns have one of the best running games in the league, with them averaging 172 yards on the ground, but for whatever reason they have gone away from that dominant running attack in recent weeks. The biggest example of this was last week when the Browns just had 70 yards on the ground. The tandem of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt is one of the best in the whole league and for the Browns to have any chance in this game they need to establish the run and not rely on Jacoby Brissett as the bulk of their offense. The Baltimore Ravens have been a team that's had a roller coaster of a season up to this point. The games they've lost were lost in the second half after each team came back in the fourth quarter. The key for the Ravens in this game is what their defense can do because they have not been great this year, especially against the pass. The biggest difference here might be the fact that the Ravens have Lamar Jackson and the Browns don't. That's reason enough to like this bet too. Learn more about your ad choices. The Cleveland Browns lost their week match-up to the New England Patriots by a score of 34-16. In this video, we take a look at all 3 phases of the game and how they stunk. From the first quarter to the fourth, the Browns offense was nonexistent, and the defense gave up 34 points. The running game was nonexistent, and the Browns were forced to pass the ball almost every time. The special teams were also horrible, allowing two returns for touchdowns. It's the ultimate Cleveland sports show as we give our immediate reaction to the NFL Browns vs. Patriots game! We talk about all the key match-ups and give our predictions for the game. Let's hope we're right and the Browns can pull out the win!Garrett Bush of the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show and the Locked on Browns Podcast gives his reaction the Browns vs. Patriots Game. G.Bush believes that Browns Defensive Coordinator Joe Woods needs to relinquished of his duties. The offense was trash as well against the Patriots. Jacoby Brissett throws 2 INTs and loses fumble, defense horrible as Browns lose 38-15 to Patriots and fall to 2-4.Browns quarterback Jacoby Brissett headed into the Patriots game Sunday vowing to be better after throwing late interceptions in back-to-back losses to the Falcons and Chargers.Instead, he threw two interceptions — including one on the second play of the game — and lost a fumble when the ball slipped out of his hand late in the game en route to a 38-15 loss to the Patriots (3-3) at FirstEnergy Stadium. When Brissett wasn't busy turning the ball over, the defense was blowing coverages against Bailey Zappe, a third-string, fourth-round quarterback starting his second NFL game.LinkedInLinkedIn Jobs helps you find the candidates you want to talk to, faster. Are the Cleveland Browns coaching staff on the hot seat? It sure looks that way after another loss, this time to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In this episode of the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show, host Garrett Bush takes a look at the latest news and rumors surrounding the Cleveland Browns coaching staff. The Cleveland Browns were the latest team to get “Zapped” by the New England Patriots and rookie quarterback Bailey Zappe, who now owns a 2-0 record as a starter to begin his NFL career. The Patriots beat the Browns 38-15 in Cleveland due to a highly efficient performance from Zappe and a dominant effort from New England's defense. Offensive spotlight: Zappe went 24-of-34 for 309 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Based on PFF's first review, he got rid of the ball at an average 2.61-second clip. He didn't make any big-time throws but also wasn't marked with any turnover-worthy plays. The Patriots made effective use of play action, as Zappe went 6-of-7 for 144 yards and a touchdown with a play fake. Zappe was also penalized for delay of game and intentional grounding, so it wasn't all positives from the rookie, but it was still an impressive display in just his second career start.Defensive spotlight: Browns edge defender Myles Garrett was battling through injuries during the game but finished with two sacks, including a strip sack, and three hurries. He finished the game with a game-high 24-percent pass-rush win rate.Rookie spotlight: Patriots rookie wide receiver Tyquan Thornton saw extended playing time with Nelson Agholor (hamstring) inactive and Kendrick Bourne (toe) banged up. He caught four passes for 37 yards with his first career receiving touchdown and also carried the ball twice for 17 yards with his first rushing touchdown. He forced one missed tackle as a receiver. New England has been impressed with Thornton in practice, and his development is showing on the game field.Offensive line spotlight: Patriots right tackle Isaiah Wynn is having a rough go in a contract year. He moved from left to right tackle this offseason and was spelled by Marcus Cannon for a stretch in the third consecutive game after allowing a sack and hurry in addition to being charged with a false start. There weren't many positives for Cleveland in this game, but its offensive line only allowed 10 total pressures on first review. Browns right guard Wyatt Teller left the game with a calf injury and didn't return, so that's a situation to monitor. Cleveland fans have gone through a rollercoaster of emotions in the span of 16 hours coming off of the Guardians stunning victory and the Browns frustrating loss. Garrett Bush of the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show and Jeff Lloyd of the Locked On Browns Podcast was joined Locked On Patriots Podcast to preview the Week 6 Matchup between the Browns vs. Patriots The New England Patriots shut out the NFL's No. 1 scoring offense in Week 5 with a 29-0 win over the Detroit Lions. Will they carry that momentum into Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Browns in Cleveland?History is in the Patriots' favor. They have won four consecutive games and eight of the last nine versus the Browns. Cleveland's only win during that span was a 2010 matchup highlighted by running back Peyton Hillis racking up 184 yards and two touchdowns. Despite the Browns' lack of recent success against the Patriots, oddsmakers have made Cleveland a slight favorite to win Sunday. Here are the opening betting lines for this game, via DraftKings Sportsbook:Spread: Patriots +3 (-115), Browns -3 (-105)Moneyline: Patriots +130, Lions -150Over/Under: Over 42.5 points (-110), Under 42.5 points (-110)The Patriots are 7-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last nine games versus the Browns, and they are 17-3 straight up in their last 20 matchups with AFC North opponents. The Browns also are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games.Sunday's game could come down to Cleveland's ability to stop the run. The Browns are giving up 5.3 yards per carry, which is the third-most in the league. The Patriots likely will give running back Rhamondre Stevenson plenty of carries against this Browns defense, especially after he ran for a career-high 161 yards against the Lions last week. The Patriots also should be plenty familiar with Browns quarterback Jacoby Brissett's strengths and weaknesses. New England drafted Brissett in 2016 and he played in three games for them that season.New England isn't a lock to win Sunday by any means. But with a strong run game and a veteran defense, the Patriots should at least be favorites in this game. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Garrett Bush of the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show and Jeff Lloyd of the Locked On Browns Podcast was joined by Browns Legend D'Qwell Jackson to talk about the impact of newly acquired Deion Jones. D'Qwell also previews NFL Week 6 matchup between the Cleveland Browns vs. New England Patriots. The Browns had a changing of the guard of sorts at middle linebacker on Wednesday, with newcomer Deion Jones practicing with the team for the first time, and Anthony Walker Jr. returning to the building and watching for awhile from the sidelines on crutches and in a full left-leg brace. The Browns have sorely missed Walker, who suffered a season-ending torn quad tendon against the Steelers in Week 3 and recently underwent surgery. They're hoping that Jones, the 2017 Pro Bowler acquired in a trade with the Falcons immediately after the Browns surrendered 238 yards rushing in their 30-28 loss to the Chargers, will ease the loss, both from an on- and off-the-field standpoint. Jones is even up for wearing the green sticker and calling defensive plays on the field right away if called upon.“I've done it, so yeah, I could do it,” he said. “It's just a matter of applying yourself, studying, making sure you know everything.”Coach Kevin Stefanski acknowledged there's some carryover with what Jones did in Atlanta, but the Browns need to see how quickly he picks things up.“Deion is a very smart football player, very intelligent,” he said. “Has been in a similar system so we'll see how much he can catch up. We just really got to meeting with him (Tuesday) so it is crash course when you acquire a player midseason. We will see what he can handle.”The change of scenery was welcome for Jones, who had his $8.55 million contract restructured in the offseason to lower his cap hit to about $1.3 million. The Browns owe him $760,000 in base salary with bonuses that max out at $1.6 million this year.“Everyone likes a fresh start, real clean slate, no expectations, just come in and learn and play stress-free,” he said.Despite the Browns' loss in Atlanta, Jones has liked what he's seen from this defense.“It's a tough team that plays hard,” he said. “Just one or two plays away from a win sometimes and that's just this league, you know? One or two plays away, a total of six points (for the three losses).”His first game back will be against the Patriots, whom he lost to as a rookie in the Super Bowl, 34-28. The Patriots are coming off a 29-0 rout of the Lions in which they rushed for 176 yards, 161 by Rhamondre Stevenson.“We know the run game, just basically everything,” Jones said. “Just being locked in and moving forward. You can't make a lot of mistakes with the Patriots.”Jones is even up for wearing the green sticker and calling defensive plays on the field right away if called upon.“I've done it, so yeah, I could do it,” he said.
