We give predictions for Cleveland Browns vs Pittsburgh Steelers. Don't miss this episode of the SECRETS Behind the Beef, where we reveal the secrets behind the drama between the two stars of the Cleveland NFL sports scene. Tune in to find out what's really going on! Myles Garrett said Friday that he was "disappointed" and "a little bit confused" by comments from fellow defensive end Jadeveon Clowney that prompted the Cleveland Browns to send Clowney home before Friday's practice. "I knew he was frustrated. We've all been frustrated; we're not winning," Garrett said. "I wish we could've talked about this man-to-man. ... I wish he would have handled it a little bit differently." On Thursday, Clowney told Cleveland.com that he was "95 percent sure" he would not be re-signing with the Browns, in large part because he believes the team has favored Garrett over him. Clowney did not play on the opening series the next weekend on "Monday Night Football" against the Cincinnati Bengals, although he entered the game on Cincinnati's second possession. Garrett said he didn't even realize Clowney was refusing to play on first or second down against Baltimore until the next week. "I assumed he was hurt," Garrett said. "I just assumed something was holding him back." Clowney has had a disappointing second season for the 7-9 Browns, who were eliminated from the AFC playoff picture two weeks ago. After racking up nine sacks with the Browns last season, Clowney has only two sacks this year. He also sat four games with ankle and concussion injuries. Clowney is a free agent again this offseason, having signed back-to-back one-year deals with the Browns. Garrett, meanwhile, has a team-high 15 sacks, fourth-most in the NFL, and was named to a fourth Pro Bowl. Garrett also has faced the highest double-team rate (31.3%) of any edge rusher in the league this season. Despite that, he's second among edge rushers in pass rush win rate (27.8%); Clowney's pass rush win rate is just 16.5%. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Recap of the Browns vs. Bengals game. Ja'Marr Chase and Joe Burrow both played important roles in the final outcome. Tune in to find out what was the turning point of the game was and how the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Cleveland Browns in the battle for Ohio. Keep your eye out for my more Cleveland Browns analysis tomorrow from 11 am- 1:00 pm on The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show. in the upcoming season! Joe Burrow finally figured out how to win the Battle of Ohio. With their 23-10 victory over the Browns, the Bengals effectively snuffed out the Browns flickering playoff hopes -- although at 5-8, they haven't been mathematically eliminated yet. The Bengals, in winning their fifth straight game, improved to 9-4 and snapped a five-game losing streak to the Browns. They had also lost eight of their last nine to the Browns, and Burrow couldn't get the Browns' monkey off his back. He's 3-0 against the Chiefs but couldn't get past Myles Garrett and Browns. That all changed on Sunday, despite the fact Burrow was without three of his top weapons in tight end Hayden Hurst, Tee Higgins (hamstring) and Tyler Boyd (finger). But Ja'Marr Chase, who sat out the 32-13 Browns victory on Halloween night, caught 10 of 15 targets for 119 yards and a touchdown. Burrow went 18 of 33 for 239 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT for an 85.3 rating. Deshaun Watson, in only his second game back after 700 days off, went 26 of 42 for 276 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT for a 79.1 rating. Nick Chubb rushed 14 times for only 34 yards. The Browns next opponent, the Ravens, beat the Steelers to improve to 9-4 and maintain their edge in the AFC North, but Lamar Jackson (knee) might still rest next Saturday. Trailing 23-10, Watson was intercepted by safety Jessie Bates III on a pass intended for Donovan Peoples-Jones with 13:39 left in the game and the Bengals in field goal territory. But after they moved to the Browns 31, the Browns got an interception of their own keep themselves in the game. Jadeveon Clowney tipped the pass and Deion Jones picked it off. Unfortunately for the Browns, they were unable to cash in on the opportunity. They marched to the Bengals' 6, but Watson threw three straight incompletions, including one to Amari Cooper out of the back of the end zone, and one to Donovan Peoples-Jones at the left corner when Cam Taylor-Britt broke up the pass. The Bengals extended their lead to 20-3 on a flea-flicker that caught the Browns defense off guard. Burrow handed the ball to Joe Mixon, who flipped it back to Burrow, who found receiver Trenton Irwin wide open over the middle of the field for a 45-yard touchdown. Safeties Grant Delpit and most other Browns bit on the run, and Irwin had no defender within 15 yards of him. But the Browns answered the flea flicker with a touchdown of their own — a 13-yarder by David Njoku, who dove for the pylon. The drive ended with three straight completions to Njoku, who had missed three of the last four games with injuries. It marked Watson's first touchdown pass. Learn more about your ad choices. When he takes the field on Sunday, Watson will have gone 700 days since he last played in a regular-season game. (Expect to hear that number a lot on Sunday). Watson was a full participant in the offseason program, training camp, and has a full week of practice under his belt, but there is no way of knowing how much rust he has and how long it will take him to get into a rhythm. One thing working in Watson and the Browns favor is that Houston's defense is not good, so he should be able to get in enough throws to be comfortable enough going into the next two games, which are key division tilts against the Cincinnati Bengals (+2) Given how poorly Houston is against the run, a nice game plan that features just enough passes from Watson to get him in a groove combined with a proactive running game that reaches into Cleveland's depth to keep Chubb fresh should be on order for Sunday. It's the Browns, there must be some cause for concern?: It really doesn't matter who they play, the Browns defense struggles to keep anyone in check when they are running with the football. That could be a problem against Houston rookie running back Dameon Pierce, who has rushed for 788 yards on the season. However, Pierce is in a bit of a slump as he has gained a total of 16 rushing yards over the past two games. Nothing puts a hop in a running back's step quite like playing the Browns, so Cleveland will have to keep an eye on Pierce to make sure he does not rediscover the mojo that saw him rush for 670 yards during a seven-game stretch earlier this season. A healthy secondary: Cleveland received some good news on Friday as cornerback Greg Newsome II is expected to play after missing two games with a concussion, and fellow cornerback Denzel Ward is also on schedule to play after dealing with a tight hamstring in practice. That gives the Browns their top trio of Ward, Newsome and rookie Martin Emerson Jr. – who had himself quite a game last week against Tampa Bay – back on the field together with an opportunity to get in some work as they prepare for next week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Game Notes The Browns remain among the league leaders in rushing as they are No. 2 with 18 rushing touchdowns, No. 5 with 1,698 rushing yards, No. 5 with 101 rushing first downs and No. 3 with 56 runs of 10-plus yards. Cleveland wide receiver Amari Cooper is tied for fourth in the league with seven receiving touchdowns. Cleveland running back Nick Chubb is one rushing touchdown away from setting a career high with 13. Chubb is also 164 rushing yards away from becoming the fourth running back in franchise history to rush for at least 6,000 career yards. Houston is minus-2 in turnovers the past three games and have lost the turnover battle in five of their past six losses. Cleveland defense end Jadeveon Clowney , Houston's No. 1 selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, will play against the Texans for the first time in Houston. A Final Quote Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski on expectations for quarterback Deshaun Watson's impact on the offense (quote via a team-provided transcript): “For this football team, for Deshaun and for the offense, they need to focus on playing good football this week. The big picture of what that means and that type of thing, I don't think our guys are worried about that. We have to worry about our preparation this week and make sure that we have a good plan for Houston. We are excited that Deshaun is able to play for us. We are excited that he is back out there. The guys have enjoyed, like we mentioned, back in the room the last few weeks. Having him out on the field will bring an element to our offense that is different, but how different I think remains to be seen.” Those are just a few things to keep an eye on; now it is time to have your say. What Will The Browns Offensive Identity Be When Deshaun Watson Returns?

In this video, Garrett Bush of The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show and Jeff Loyd of the Locked on Browns Podcast be discuss what the Browns identity on offence should be when Deshaun Watson returns. Deshaun Watson is set to return to the NFL this season, and with that comes the question of what the Browns identity on offence should be. With Jacoby Brissett at the helm, the offence has been run predominantly through the air. However, with Watson back in the fold, the Browns will likely look to use him more in the passing game. In this video, we'll discuss what the Browns identity on offence should be when Deshaun Watson returns, and what that might mean for the team moving forward. When the 2022 season started, the ceiling for the Browns (3-6) was to hand off a playoff contending team to Watson in Week 13. But something closer to the basement has unfolded for a variety of reasons. The only thing that matters now is reality for the franchise. The brutal truth is Watson's return from an 11-game suspension is a starting point. It's an opportunity to put a team on the field around him and then accurately judge what pieces Watson can elevate, versus the positions the front office and coaching staff will need to revamp in the offseason. The fact remains that this no longer looks like a team that can be fixed by simply plugging Watson into a regular-season NFL game for the first time in 23 months. There are too many problems to be solved, ranging from coaching to talent to injuries. Adding a patience problem on top of all that isn't going to help anyone. Not Watson. Not head coach Kevin Stefanski. Not general manager Andrew Berry. And certainly not all of the Browns fans who are looking at the quarterback change as some kind of cure-all for this troubling and lethargic start.Of course, that's not what many Browns fans want to hear. There is a segment that wants to believe that splitting the next two games against the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and then forking over a 4-7 team to Watson in Week 13 sets up Cleveland for a transformational run down the stretch. That finishing flourish under Watson would have to assume the defense could suddenly stop opposing run games or that Watson shows no lag from his layoff. When completely healthy, Cleveland has some of that talent. More additions can be made this offseason. Not to mention whatever moves are necessary to shore up the run defense and the languishing of the defensive scheme that seems to be an extension of coordinator Joe Woods. But what has to be understood is that Watson isn't going to answer whether Jadeveon Clowney is a viable defensive piece beyond 2022. Watson isn't going to solve the deficit at defensive tackle. He can't make the offensive line healthier or add depth where it matters most. What Watson can do is the only things fans should expect him to do for the final six games of 2022. Play clean and mistake-free. Protect the football from turnovers. Develop a rhythm with Stefanski. Stay healthy and seek out answers about which skill position players fit his game the best. If he can do all of those things, it will be precisely what Cleveland needs from this brief window that is ultimately setting up 2023. Learn more about your ad choices. 'It's a commitment thing': John Johnson III believes Browns defense needs full dedication BEREA − It's a motto that is linked to a completely different NFL franchise. However, Browns safety John Johnson III believes there's something to be said about the Raiders' "Commitment to excellence" mantra. Specifically, Johnson believes there's something the Browns defense can take from the first word of that motto to change the trajectory of what has been one of the league's worst defenses statistically. "Yeah, it's a commitment thing," Johnson said Wednesday. "When practice is over and our day is done, you can't just run out of the building and forget about your job. I think we need everyone in this building to really be a 100% in on the task at hand. Right now I think we're at a place where that's not the case. So whatever we gotta do to get as many guys, if not everyone in on the same page I think that's what it is. Because that's the only way things are going to change." The Browns defense is currently tied for 23rd in the league, allowing 361.3 yards a game, entering Sunday's game at Baltimore. They're tied for 30th in points allowed at 27.2 points a game. The pass defense, which had been better against Pittsburgh and Atlanta, even the Los Angeles Chargers, allowed Patriots rookie Bailey Zappe to throw for 309 yards in just his second start. The Browns are 19th in pass defense with 229.8 yards a game. The run defense, which was better against New England after being gashed by the Falcons and Chargers, is 24th at 131.5 yards per game. That's where the talk about commitment comes into play. Specifically, it's where the talk about a commitment to accountability to finally change those statistics. Johnson isn't the first one to speak on the commitment subject since the Browns dropped their third consecutive game last Sunday to the New England Patriots. He's just the most established player on the defense, at least in terms of years in the league, to bring it up. Linebacker Sione Takitaki spoke along a similar vein on Monday, a day after the Patriots loss. The message was one formulated by the leadership group among the Browns players shortly after the game. Both Johnson and Takitaki are among the handful of Browns defenders who have at least four years in the league. The former is in his fifth season in the NFL, and second in Cleveland, and the latter is in his fourth season after being drafted in the third round in 2019 by the Browns. Outside of nine-year pro Jadeveon Clowney and seventh-year pro Myles Garrett, there's few more experienced that those two on the defense. Now, it's about that message getting through across the defense in time for Sunday's game. That change starts with the preparation each player puts in during a given week. The Browns' work day generally starts before 8 a.m. and last until at least 5 p.m., between on-field and off-the-field work. What players like Johnson believe is that's not enough time dedicated to the work. As with anything someone may want to master, there's work away from the organized training that is necessary. Among the ideas has been film study away from the facility, extra time dedicated to looking not just at the opponent, but at themselves. It's all about figuring out ways to show up on Sunday, specifically this Sunday against the Ravens, ready to play at their highest level. #Browns #ClevelandBrowns #NFL #NFLWeek7 #BaltimoreRavens #Ravens Learn more about your ad choices. Kosko gives his Highest and Lowest grades for NFL Week 5 vs. The Chargers. The Browns had trouble containing the Chargers' ground game during Sunday's 30-28 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. On 19 snaps, defensive end Isaac Rochell led the unit in overall defensive grading with an overall 85.4 rating, according to Pro Football Focus. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney led the unit with 78.3 rush-defense grading on 52 snaps, while linebacker Jacob Phillips led the way with a 83.0 tackle-rating. Here's how the rest of the defense graded: (PFF grades every player on every play and uses a scale of 0-100, with higher grades indicating better play. PFF has explained its grades this way: 100-90 elite; 89-85 Pro Bowler; 84-70 starter; 69-60 backup; 59-0 replaceable. Browns quarterback Jacoby Brissett played a hard-fought, valiant game, but was picked off in the end zone with 2:44 remaining and the Browns trailing 30-28. On third and 7 from the 9, Brissett rolled right and fired for Amari Cooper in the back of the end zone. Instead, he was picked off by safety Alohi Gilman, who returned the ball to the Chargers 17. Justin Herbert completed a 19-yard pass to Mike Williams to the Chargers' 37. But the defense forced the Chargers to give the ball up on downs at their 45 when M.J. Emerson broke up a pass on fourth and 1 to Mike Williams. It was an enormous play for Emerson and a curious call by Chargers coach Brandon Staley to give the Browns field position and a shot to win with 1:14 to play and no timeouts left. But against the Browns, they ran 34 times for 238 yards and two touchdowns, an average of 7.0 per carry.
