On today's episode, Jason kicks things off with a deep dive into the Buffalo Bills' beatdown of the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Josh Allen and the Bills are playing like the best team in football overt the past month, but the big story here is what's going on in Kansas City. The Chiefs defense has been leaky for awhile, but now they have a sloppy offense to go along with it; Kansas City is barely a top-5 team in the AFC right now. Later, Jason goes in on what was easily the game of the day between the Cleveland Browns and the Los Angeles Chargers. The Browns seemed to have the game in-hand until head coach Kevin Stefanski decided to take the ball out of Baker Mayfield's hands altogether down the stretch. Is it fair to say that Mayfield doesn't have the trust of his head coach? On the flip side, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is playing like at worst the 2nd best quarterback in the NFL. If we were to handicap the MVP race right now, is there anyone you would take ahead of Herbert? Doubt it. The Minnesota Vikings have now won their first game against the Seattle Seahawks in a packed US Bank Stadium. Will things get easier for them? Heck no! They will now face one of the team's favorite coaches who developed in Minnesota for 14 years, Kevin Stefanski, and his very, very good Cleveland Browns. Baker Mayfield is quite the capable quarterback and with weapons like Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Odell Beckham Jr and some complimentary players behind the 2nd ranked [by DVOA] offensive line, the Vikings defense will be tested once again. Mayfield may not be joystick-type mobile like the last 2 QBs the Vikes faced, but he can move and be dangerous. The defense will be tested. The Vikings' offense is no slouch either, and the combination of Kirk Cousins' outstanding play and Klint Kubiak getting more comfortable calling good and modern games, will have to continue in their growth and success for the Vikings to win. Can they? Dave and Darren who both started blogging on the Purple decades ago will go over a way to possibly start a winning streak, so get ready for the Climbing The Pocket and Daily Norman pregame show! Talking points for the Browns-Vikings preview show:  1) Vikings' front seven has to slow down Browns' two-headed RB monster - Chubb and Hunt. Chips? 2) Vikings O-line needs to play competently against Browns front seven and have a game plan to block Myles Garrett.  3) Cousins needs to continue to play error-free football but also push the ball down the field and Kubiak needs to be less predictable when he calls for running plays and be less conservative in the red zone in the second half (we want TDs, not field goals). Introduction: A tweet from a reader helped host Michael Rand tie all his thoughts together like the rug in The Big Lebowski. The question was about just what went wrong with the Twins' evaluation of pitching in 2021. While the answer is unknown, the fact that Twins evaluators are probably stumped as well leads to an offseason path: If pitching is going to improve, money needs to be spent. If money is going to be spent, the Twins need to find a way to trade Josh Donaldson. It's just that simple, even if trading an expensive mid-30s third baseman entering an offseason where the collective bargaining agreement expires is very complicated. 6:00: Vikings/NFL writer Mark Craig joins for his weekly picks segment and also gives listeners a sneak peek at his Sunday story on Browns coach Kevin Stefanski. Craig is in Cleveland reporting the story on the former Vikings offensive coordinator. 18:00: Jon Marthaler breaks down an important stretch for Minnesota United, which is hanging onto the final playoff spot in Major League Soccer's Western Conference as of Friday. Marthaler and Rand also get into the idea of U.S. soccer legend Landon Donovan being an MLS coach soon. 29:00: NBA vaccination headlines are all about Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins possibly missing home games, but if the whole country was as vaccinated as the NBA we would be in great shape.

The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima
Daryl Ruiter: Vikings are 2 or 3 plays away from 3-0. The way to win for the Browns is to force Kirk Cousins to make a mistake. Defense needs to create turnovers.
