Dave and Dal talk about this early retirement for him, and also a look at where NASCAR is heading with guys retiring earlier and earlier. Dave talks about why he thinks this is happening, and Dal shares why he thinks this could hurt NASCAR. Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and New England win their fourth title. A crazy entertaining football game, but not entertaining enough to make Dave enjoy it. In this episode Dave shares his frustrations with this entire football season. Dave is upset with Pete Carroll letting New England win, and takes some time in this episode to vent his frustrations. Dave is a bit confused on how twitter works exactly and shares how he claims he started a hash tag that became and nationwide trending topic. Major Leagues Baseball's new commissioner Robert Manfred was on the job only a few hours and he was already making some waves in the MLB community. In an recent interview with fox sports and Ken Rosenthal Manfred addressed his comments about being open to banning the shift in baseball and this has Dave a bit upset. In this episode we talk about the possible changes and how it could effect the game. One scenario with the pitch clock we address is when there is a no hitter on the line, does the pitcher still have to maintain the clock? If the shift is ever banned how would they determine where they can and can't stand? Are outfielders not allowed to go further in the outfield if a power hitter is at the plate? Also Manfred has mentioned a big focus of his will be appealing to the younger generation and getting them more involved, will this change when the World Series is aired? Last Sunday was one of the craziest playoff weekends in NFL history. The Seattle Seahawks had an unprecedented comeback against the Green Bay Packers, leaving Packer fans feeling so very sick. Dave and Dal talk about the comeback and some of the plays that led to the Seattle win. Dal here, and what a time I had in Green Bay, Wisconsin at Lambeau field! I do want to thank my wife, friends, family, and co-wokers who helped make this happen, it was a blast. In this episode Dave and I talk about my trip up to Lambeau that I made with my brother. From freezing temps, cheese curds, fun fans, and a catch that wasn't I will take you through the awesome sporting event that is a game at Lambeau field. This being my first ever NFL playoff game, for it to be at Lambeau is so special and a trip I will never forget. The fans were great and the tail gaiting is a blast. If you ever make it up to Lambeau definitely go early and take in all the sights, sounds, tastes, and smells. Nestled in this small town of Green Bay is a storied and highly successful NFL Franchise. Amidst a charming classic Americana neighborhood stands this great stadium and the people that make up the town represent that classic small town feel. One thing I noted on the trip is that no matter where you are in the United States, a small town maintains its feel in many places across America. It's friendly, welcoming, down to earth residents reflect the heart of so many small towns many of us have grown up in and traveled to. In a way the Green Bay Packers' success almost represents the genuine people of Green Bay, I think this town is very deserving of 13 world championships (including 4 super bowl wins). In contrast these two teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers, couldn't be more different. One a small town, the other one of the largest cities in the United States. One having an owner outspoken by no one, the other not even having an owner but a board with a president that few people can name (and a team owned by that fans). One is all razzle-dazzle, the other honest and down to earth. But when they came together on this cold January day, they produced the greatest sporting event of this young calendar year of 2015.   Obviously I would have loved walking away with a Cowboy victory. I can't imagine there would have been many Tony Romo jokes as my brother and I headed back to the car parked in a yard of a Lambeau field neighbor. But isn't that what makes sports what it is? The ups and downs, the wins and losses? These losses make the wins that much greater. The losses ultimately are what make being a fan worth it. But I imagine the disappointment that a fan feels, pales in comparison to what the players feel. In the end we remember it is just a game. We remember what is important in life. For me, relationships are important, our relationship with Jesus, and with family and friends are what I strive to put first and so often fail at. And I am so thankful for the forgiveness and grace others have shown to me in my life. Going on this trip made me realize how sports really brings so many people together. In the airport you are talking to strangers, you start up conversations where you normally wouldn't. You talk with those who cheer for you team and you talk with those who don't. You high five people you don't even know, and share in exciting moments. Looking back at the trip it really is convicting, what if we were as communal with people in sports as were in our jobs, with our families, or going to the grocery store? Sharing, loving, laughing, and even hurting with each other. So maybe sports can teach us more than we think? Thanks for reading and thanks for listening! Earlier this week Dave and Dal got together to talk about Baltimore Ravens Coach John Harbaugh's comments saying Joe Flacco is the BEST Quarterback in the NFL. Dave and Dal go through the NFL and decide which QB's they would rather have than Joe Flacco. Let's just say there are plenty of QB's they would rather have than Flacco. Dave and Dal almost had to eat some crow after the Ravens, Patriots game today. However the Patriots were able to win again and they are off the AFC Championship. None the less Joe Flacco certainly has an impressive resume, but would you rather have him for your franchise QB than other QB's in the NFL? Let us know what you think! 

The 2015 Major Leauge Baseball Hall of Fame class has been selected! Craig Biggio, Randy Johnson, John Smoltz, and Pedro Martinez make up one the largest MLB Hall of Fame classes in recent years. Dave shares his reaction to this class and also takes a look at some of the players who were not selected this year, but may be in the future. Dave takes a look at who will be eligible for the 2016 class, and shares some thoughts on who might make it next year into the Hall of Fame. Thanks for listening!   

Eight teams remain in the NFL Playoffs, Cowboys vs. Packers, Ravens vs. Patriots, Seahawks vs. Panthers, and Colts vs. Broncos. With a great wildcard weekend in the NFL Dave and Dal look back at their picks, one going 3-1 the other 1-3. The Panthers continue their hot streak. Joe Flacco and the Ravens continue their playoff success while the Bengals playoff woes continue. Tony Romo gets his second ever playoff win in dramatic fashion. The Steelers go down without their great rusher Le'Veon Bell. Dave and Dal go through the upcoming divisional round games and put in their picks for the weekend. Also Dal is getting to go to Green Bay to watch his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys as they look to take Ice Bowl part 2 in Lambeau Field. The last game of wildcard weekend in the NFL was undoubtedly the wildest. The Dallas Cowboys defeat the Detroit Lions and advance to the divisional playoff round against the Green Bay Packers. They do so by some terrific efficient play behind Tony Romo. This game featured Jason Garrett going for it on 4th down twice?! Terrance Williams coming back to life, Jason Witten with huge a 4th down conversion, rookie Defensive End Demarcus Lawrence having the best and worst moments of his career, and some confusing officiating by the referees. Obviously Dal is excited. Dave and Dal walk through the game looking at some of the biggest plays of the game. Dave thinks Jason Garrett fired up the laptop on the sidelines to get some tips from Dave on a previous episode.
