On Hacking Humans, Dave Bittner, Joe Carrigan, and Maria Varmazis (also host of N2K's daily space podcast, T-Minus), are once again sharing the latest in social engineering scams, phishing schemes, and criminal exploits that are making headlines to help our audience become aware of what is out there. This week we jump right into stories, Maria shares Apple's new AI feature and how it is unintentionally rewording scam messages to make them appear more legitimate and flagging them as priority notifications, raising concerns about increased susceptibility to scams. Joe has two stories this week, the first focuses on two individuals, including an inmate using a smuggled cellphone, being charged with defrauding a Sarasota woman of $12,000 in a jury duty scam involving spoofed law enforcement identities and Bitcoin transfers, with authorities urging vigilance against such schemes. Joe's second story is on a LinkedIn job interview turned hacking attempt when a technical challenge contained obfuscated code designed to gather crypto wallet information from the user's computer; the scam highlights the importance of carefully reviewing code and using secure environments like virtual machines during such evaluations. Finally Dave has the story on a prolific voice phishing crew manipulating legitimate Apple and Google services to deceive victims, leveraging advanced phishing kits, social engineering tactics, and automated tools like "autodoxers" to target cryptocurrency holders and high-value individuals for significant financial theft. Our catch of the day comes from listener Keefe, who shares a voicemail from one suspicious sounding Walmart voice. Finally - Dave reveals his next adventure at the end of September. And how to size up the lifeboats by your cabin just in case the ship does a Titanic.
Steve spent the weekend in southeast Ohio watching NOFX and other classic punk bands from his glory days. It turns out that even punk festivals are filled with capitalists trying to make more than just a buck. Steve flew Breeze Airlines which is the latest failure in regional airlines out to make your life hell. Govier loves the film Sexy Beast, but Steve loves the banana hammock in the opening even more! Luke wants to share a clip from Pod Save America where you can judge for yourself what has Luke so annoyed. After the clip, Luke & Steve have more to say about the vote shaming that gets turned into a binary argument about third party voters giving their vote to Trump or Biden. Govier gets reminded of what 73's means in the ham radio world, which he has more experience than many who know him may have realized. Then it's time for your emails! And you all had A LOT to say this week which makes Govier very happy. Travis wants to tie a bow on this multi-week confusion about film composers. Then Joe follows through on Govier's request for him to email the show. Joe made up his very own homemade Immaculate Grid which is all the rage online right now. Join in and play in real-time! Then Sean checks in with more commentary on the golf courses are a big waste of space discussion from last week. He also wants to push Luke further on his Woody Allen perspective plus a final thought about Saudi Arabia taking over the PGA Tour. Then Mr. Pink is curious about the current Supreme Court and how he was living under a false pretense. Steve then shares a valuable clip from the podcast known as Amicus With Dahlia Lithwick that coincides with Mr. Pink's email. Then Eric emails about his shame related to a current Kevin Spacey project overseas that he is interested in seeing even though Spacey is canceled. Eric wants to know which person who was canceled didn't deserve it? Does anybody on the show have someone in mind? Finally Dave emails us to make sure we talk about Blair's basement one more time. We love you all! We are very pleased with our little world that together we have formed thanks to this show. This show has little substance to it without you listening and emailing. We close the show with The Decline by NOFX. If any of our nonsense provokes your thoughts, please share them with us at isitsafepod@gmail.com

Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report talks about MSNBC’s disregard of facts to smear Ron DeSantis’ COVID vaccine rollout, J.K. Rowling’s and Winston Churchill’s names being removed from a school, the official ending of Aunt Jemima, and a Ronald Reagan appearance on Johnny Carson that has some great foreign policy advice. First Dave discusses comments by Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski about what a failure Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been at getting the COVID-19 vaccine to the elderly. Facts disagree. A school in England will no longer use J.K. Rowling and Winston Churchill as house names due to Churchill’s purported racism and Rowling’s alleged transphobic remarks. Finally Dave shares some timeless foreign policy advice from Ronald Reagan. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report talks about Joe Biden’s calls for unity and ending political polarization, mainstream media pundits like Nikole Hannah-Jones calling for consequences for Trump supporters, Andrew Cuomo reversing course and wanting to end lockdowns, Chuck Schumer wanting to put Capitol rioters on the no fly list, and the hypocrisy of Democrats on incitement. First Dave discusses the conflict of Joe Biden’s plan for unity, while he advocates for prioritizing POC businesses before those owned by white people. Various pundits have begun to call for deprogramming and consequences for Trump supporters. Forbes magazine has even called for the blacklisting of Trump officials like White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. In a sudden reversal New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is now anti lockdown and advocating to loosen COVID restrictions reopen the economy before the COVID vaccine hits critical mass, a position he previously had claimed was reckless. Finally Dave shares some of the past words of Cory Booker, Maxine Waters and Hillary Clinton who previously justified and encouraged liberals to stop being civil to combat the Trump administration. Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report talks about big tech’s social media ban of Donald Trump and if it will make the current political climate even worse, Joe Biden’s reverse racism plans to prioritize POC businesses before those owned by white people, and more evidence of Trump supporters being kicked off flights for their political views. First Dave discusses the social media purge and Donald Trump being banned from Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Shopify, TikTok, Instagram and more. Is anyone else frightened by how much power these tech giants have to silence and unperson any one of us? Joe Biden has revealed how diversity and inclusion ideas will affect who gets government money to rebuild. Biden just announced a policy promoting discrimination by prioritizing businesses based on the race and gender of their owners. It has also come to light that Kristen Clarke, his pick to lead the DOJ’s civil rights division, held bizarre racist beliefs in college where she wrote about black supremacy. Finally Dave shares some footage of some Trump supporters who were allegedly kicked off a Delta airlines plane in Washington D.C. for supporting Donald Trump after the protest at the Capitol building. Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report discusses more liberal hypocrisy with Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl who voted to ban outdoor dining in LA County over COVID-19 safety concerns, right before she ate outdoors at a restaurant, Time magazine’s hilarious nominee list for Time person of the year, and an article in the Federalist that highlights Joe Biden’s “magical” election performance. In coronavirus news Dave discusses the latest addition in a long line of hypocrite Democrat politicians who advocate for lockdowns and closing restaurants and are then caught doing the COVID dining that we were told was too dangerous to allow. Time magazine has announced it’s list of nominees for person of the year which includes many left wing politicians that have promoted failed policies such as Andrew Cuomo, AOC, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, Gretchen Whitmer, Stacey Abrams, and Elizabeth Warren. The nominee list also features Anthony Fauci, Kamala Harris, and Donald Trump. Finally Dave delves into an article that appeared in the Federalist that shines a light on how strange the election results were for Joe Biden. These kinds of irregularities, if ignored by mainstream media, will only make more people suspect election fraud and that we are witnessing a stolen election. Learn more about your ad choices. Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report discusses how New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham forced grocery store closures are creating food shortages, more evidence of how much of a lying hypocrite Gavin Newsom is, and the newly announced Biden administration picks. Dave first talks about New Mexico where COVID policy dictates that businesses with four or more rapid responses of COVID-19 cases reported within a 14-day period must close for two weeks. This insane policy is only increasing panic buying, empty shelves, stockpiling and longer lines as people have fewer stores to go for grocery shopping and other essentials. While the second wave does it’s damage Lockdown 2 seems to be making things worse. Meanwhile new details of Governor Newsom’s fancy dinner at The French Laundry have emerged showing that the crowd was much bigger than he said and featured a $15k bar bill. This is yet another example of Democratic lockdown hypocrisy where the COVID rules only apply to regular people. Finally Dave gives his thoughts on the predictable Democratic party politicians and career bureaucrats that are being picked for the Joe Biden Cabinet and the Biden administration. Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report talks about new voter fraud allegations from Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, lockdown 2, and Justin Trudeau’s seizing on the opportunity for the Great Reset. Dave first goes over the latest election fraud allegations made to Maria Bartiromo. Rudy Giuliani claims that certain states will be forced to overturn their election results. Sidney Powell not only claimed that Smartmatic was designed to be able to cheat in elections, but that one of Smartmatic’s board, Peter Neffenger, is also in Joe Biden’s transition team. Finally Dave discusses Justin Trudeau’s most recent comments that suggest he sees the pandemic as an excellent opportunity to have a Great Reset and push a Davos-inspired progressive agenda. This week we have a special guest! Well not like super special, or above average really...but if you live in Espanola, he's kind of a big deal. Dave and Tanner go way back to the club they both co founded, "Men Who Can't Pronounce Names Properly Anonymous". The cat is out of the bag as Nick accidently reveals his top Porn Hub category. Jay nails punchline after punchline and never falls flat, unlike Russell Wilson after the failed Deejay Dallas Block! Am I right!? Jay is cancelled now...listen to find out why! Ty isn't prepared, but wrote most of the docs. Ty is modest. This week the fellas analyze the latest NFL news and take bets on when Antonio Brown does something stupid; who is starting on the revolving carousel of Seattle backs and how wrong Jay was about Justin Herbert. In our Bachelor segment, the boys all give a rose to a player that has exceeded their expectations. Like a modern retelling of Laney Boggs in "She's All That". Alas, what we giveith we also takeith away by taking back a rose from a player than has disappointed and isn't deserving of our love...Like Taylor Vaughan in "She's All That".Finally Dave's portion of the episode, Dynasty Buy and Sell. Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report discusses voting for Trump, an optimistic coronavirus update that you won’t hear on mainstream media, and the revelations from Mark Zuckerberg’s Senate testimony concerning Big Tech’s protections under Section 230. Dave shares his feelings on voting for Trump for the first time, what caused him to change his mind, and what the president said in response. Next up, Dave discusses what you won’t see on the news: an optimism-filled COVID update. While it is true that cases have been rising, what has gone underreported is that COVID deaths have been plummeting. Finally Dave talks about Anna Makanju, who leads efforts to ensure election integrity on Facebook. What Zuckerberg was made aware of by Sen. John Thune was that Anna Makanju had previously been the special policy adviser for Europe and Eurasia to former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden. As if we needed more proof of blatant media bias in the run-up to the 2020 election. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report discusses the Justice Department’s (DOJ’s) antitrust lawsuit against tech behemoth Google, Kemi Badenoch’s speech at the House of Commons denouncing critical race theory, and the rantings of Keith Olberman. First off Dave gives his thoughts on the different political perspectives one could have over the Google antitrust investigation and the accusations that it uses its power to preserve it’s monopoly. Strict libertarians may be against any government interference in the free market, but has Big Tech become too powerful to be left alone? Meanwhile across the pond Equalities Minister, conservative party member and Nigerian immigrant Kemi Badenoch delivered a scathing speech denouncing Black Lives Matter and critical race theory (CRT). She lambasted the idea that contested political ideas like “white privilege in the UK” are being taught in UK schools. Finally Dave does his best impression of the hysterical Keith Olberman ranting about the “Worst Person In The World”, Donald Trump. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report discusses the stupidest question he heard during the Amy Coney Barrett hearings, a black Trump supporter who was removed from a Southwest Airlines flight, and Margaret Thatcher’s ability to see into the future. First Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett was asked some pretty strange questions from people like Sen. Cory Booker, but Dave feels that the worst was asked by Sen. Mazie Hirono. Meanwhile a video filmed by KrisAnne Hall of Philip Ndifon, a black Trump supporter who was wearing a “Black Voices for Trump” hat and a “Trump 2020” mask was removed from a Southwest Airlines flight for having his mask down while eating nuts, which doesn’t appear to violate Southwest’s mask policy. Finally Dave shares a video of the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Margaret Thatcher whose critique of the leftists in the Labour Party seems especially accurate with the current Democratic Party being pushed in the direction of people like AOC and Ilhan Omar. Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report discusses the LGBT for Trump supporters he met, the Amy Coney Barrett hearing, and how L.A. Laker Fans celebrate after their team won the NBA Finals. While the media continues to pretend that Donald Trump refuses to denounce white supremacy, there are many people not buying the pushing of the "Trump is a racist" narrative. Dave describes the many Trump supporters he met this past weekend at a Trump rally In Beverly Hills. He met all the people the media pretends don’t exist like Latinos for Trump, gays for Trump and more. Dave also gives his reaction to the Amy Coney Barrett hearings to fill the Supreme Court vacancy left by Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Finally Dave gives his thoughts on the Los Angeles Lakers winning the NBA playoffs and the riots outside the Staples Center that followed that will definitely not be considered a super spreader event by anyone in the media. Meanwhile White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany is grilled over Trump not denouncing white supremacy or the Proud Boys in a way that pleased the media, to which she reads a long list of quotes where he did just that. Dave gives his thoughts on the media's pushing of the "Trump is a racist" narrative, no matter how much proof to the contrary there is. Meanwhile In 1984 Newspeak news the Associated Press Stylebook issued guidance to use the word "unrest" instead of “riot”.
