It is also Ask You Anything Wednesday which gives you a chance to win Def Leppard tickets. (13:46-1:18:54) Jen introduces today's Twitter poll.  What Phillies player have you been most disappointed in this season? Your options are JT Realmuto, Corey Knebel, Jeurys Familia and Nick Castellanos.  The early leader is JT Realmuto (I'm sure last night didn't help him).  The crew gives their thoughts before Tyrone heads to the phones to kick off Ask You Anything Wednesday.  Tyrone also asks the question; if a co-worker baked you a cake or pie and brought it to you at work, what would you do (if you are not single)? He also gets into some GOAT rapper talk. (1:18:57-1:28:16) Jen dives into some interesting stories outside the world of sports on “What's Brewin With Jen” to include a mint condition Back To The Future VHS selling for $75K and a $110K Disney Parks package. (1:28:19-1:45:38) Tyrone heads back to the phones to talk more top 5.  As it looks like the Phillies are going to lose to the Marlins, Garrett Stubbs hits a walk-off three run bomb to win it.  The reaction of Tyrone, Jen and Tom is awesome! (1:45:41-2:01:14) Hall of Fame Baseball writer for The Athletic Jayson Stark joins the show to share his Top 5 MLB players of all-time as well as Phillies.  He also talks about the bullpen struggles and believes JT Realmuto is playing too many games. The Brewers survived a three-game set in Philly by the skin of their teeth with a 1-0 victory on Sunday Night Baseball thanks to the best start of the year by Eric Lauer. It may have been the start of the year in the National League to this point. Lauer tossed six shutout innings with a new career-high 13 strikeouts - tying Teddy Higuera's team record for strikeouts by a lefty in a game. Despite his dominant outing, he left with a no decision. When he exited the contest, the game was still scoreless as the Brewers could not figure out Aaron Nola for the Phillies. They did figure out old friend Corey Knebel in the 9th to push across the game's only run thanks to some aggressive baserunning from Jace Peterson and a situational sac fly from Christian Yelich. There are some mind-blowing numbers from the offense's cold start, so Dom (@Dom_Cotroneo) breaks it all down and ponders if there is a strategy to help the Brewers moving forward with the bats... (45:30) Why does Kenley Jansen belong in the tiers above? Why it might be best to get Kenley and avoid Jordan Romano, Will Smith, and Giovanny Gallegos (54:00) Should we just avoid the pitchers in the tier above to take Craig Kimbrel? (58:00) Why is Corey Knebel not as enticing as he was at the ADP before he signed with Philadelphia? Why is Mark Melanconis being drafted way too high? Is Camilo Doval actually the closer in San Francisco? (1:09) Should we be OK strategizing to plan and handcuff saves? Can we safely roster players who are not “primary closers”? --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/eric-samulski/support

This week, what we're throwing down on the Table is a fantastic discussion and interview with Rachel Donner from the Locked on Flyers and Locked on NHL podcasts about whether or not this Flyers team and organization can fix the current downslide. We are all seeing the issues on the ice, but can anything be done about it? We got into it this week with Rachel! But first, Major League Baseball is heading for a lockout, and the Phillies now have themselves a new closer and reliever in the bullpen in Corey Knebel. (approx. 9:15)We then discussed Erik's experience at the Sixers game this past weekend when Joel Embiid made his return to the starting lineup, and how there's too much being placed on Embiid's and Tyrese Maxey's plate. (approx. 19:30)From there, we dove into some Eagles talk, but specifically about DeVonta Smith and how the Eagles have underutilized his playmaking talent and ability. (approx. 32:45)We also went into dreamland by talking about our biggest "what ifs" in recent Philly sports history that has been on our minds. (approx. 42:10)What we threw down on the Table was a great discussion with Rachel Donner from Locked on Flyers about whether or not we'll see any resurrection from this Flyers team that started the season strong, but now cannot score to save their lives. Chuck Fletcher's recent enraging comments during his presser, and generating balance between the penalty kill and power play. Is Joel Farabee starting to rebound, and will this team start consistently scoring in the future? All of this and much more during our discussion with Rachel!
