Two decades ago two young men disappeared in Naples under mysterious circumstances. Terrance Williams and Felipe Santos were both last seen with the same Collier County Sheriff's deputy, Steven Calkins. They were both men of color in their 20s. And they were both last seen in Deputy Calkins' patrol car. Deputy Calkins was fired after his story changed when questioned. He denied wrongdoing. He's the only person of interest in the cases, but law enforcement never found evidence against him.
In this special Every Voice Every Vote series episode of the Jimmy Bonds Podcast, we sit down with Terrance Williams, an educator with a passion for uplifting the next generation. Mr. Williams shares his inspiring journey into teaching, what motivated him to become an educator, and the challenges he has faced along the way. We dive into the critical issue of the lack of Black male educators in the system, the stigmas often associated with education, and the solutions that can create a more equitable future for all students. Mr. Williams also highlights how voting directly impacts the education curriculum and why it's vital to introduce children to the importance of voting and civic engagement at an early age. Join us as we explore the intersection of education, community, and civic responsibility — because every voice matters, and every vote counts. Stay Up!! Don't Sleep On Your Dreams! #EveryVoiceEveryVote #EducationMatters #CivicEngagement #BlackEducators #IlladelphiaRadioTV
Terrance Williams, a 27-year-old father of four, disappeared in Naples, Florida, on January 12, 2004, after his car broke down and he was last seen with Collier County Sheriff's Deputy Steven Calkins. Calkins claimed to have dropped Williams off at a Circle K, but no evidence supports this, and similar discrepancies arose when Calkins was connected to the disappearance of Felipe Santos, an undocumented immigrant, three months earlier under nearly identical circumstances. Both men were last seen alive in Calkins' custody, and despite failed polygraph tests and inconsistent statements, no criminal charges have been filed against him. Terrance's mother, Marcia Williams, has fought tirelessly to keep the case in the public eye, but nearly two decades later, both cases remain unsolved. Despite ongoing investigations and renewed interest, neither man has been found, leaving their families seeking justice and closure.Kyron Horman, a seven-year-old boy from Portland, Oregon, disappeared on June 4, 2010, after being dropped off at Skyline Elementary School by his stepmother, Terri Horman, for a science fair. Despite an extensive search—the largest in Oregon's history—no trace of Kyron was ever found. Suspicion quickly fell on Terri after inconsistencies in her story and reports of a previous murder-for-hire plot against Kyron's father surfaced. Though Terri has consistently denied involvement, many still believe she holds the key to the mystery. The case remains unsolved, with law enforcement continuing to treat it as active. Kyron's disappearance remains one of the most baffling and heartbreaking missing-person cases in the U.S., leaving his family and the public searching for answers over a decade later.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Keys on the ground, a jacket, and a recording device. After Felipe Santos and Terrance Williams vanished in Naples, Florida, investigators turned their attention to the last person both men were known to have contact with and that was Collier County Deputy Steve Calkins. When Calkins sat down to talk, his stories about his interactions with the missing men left more questions than answers. As the years passed, other officers came forward and spoke about their experiences with Corporal Calkins. Felipe Santos and Terrance Williams remain missing. If you have any information about the disappearances of Felipe Santos or Terance Williams, please contact the Collier County Sheriff's Office at 239-252-9300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. There is $200,000 reward for information. Sponsor: Greenlight Start putting your kids on the right financial path. A white Cadillac, Circle K, and two internal investigations. In the fall of 2003, 23-year-old, Felipe Santos disappeared after a minor traffic accident in Naples, Florida. Three months later, 27-year-old Terrance Williams also vanished, leaving behind the white Cadillac he had just bought. There was only one connection between the two men, they had last been seen with Collier County Deputy Steven Calkins. Sponsors: Greenlight Start putting your kids on the right financial path. Basketball After TCU Starts at 1:00 Gee golly willickers that was a lot of turnovers. Michigan's team of point guards has none, unless you want to call Danny Wolf the point. Weird game where they turned the ball over 16 times, most of those steals, and still led at the half because when they do get a shot it's always at the rim or an open look from three. How to get Goldin involved? He's not really into the game, not just on his teammates not seeing him, but it's that as well. Walters is the most efficient offensive player in CBB but he's playing the same position as Wolf. Trying to figure out how the lineup shakes out because we're not going to have an eleven-man rotation all year. [The rest of the writeup and the player after THE JUMP] 2. Big Ten Basketball Preview: The Bottom Nine to Kenpom Starts at 29:14 Washington: Great Osobor was a great portal pickup but they can't keep C Franck Kepnang healthy. Rice transfer Mekhi Mason and NoDak transfer Tyree Ihenacho are uptransfers who had high usage at the 3 and 2, Butler transfer DJ Davis doesn't really do to for us either. Injuries already. Predicted finish: 18th. USC: They got Terrance Williams and they're all Terrance Williamses: 6'7” guys who can shoot save for “PG” Desmond Claude. Already injured. Projected finish: 16th. Minnesota: Speaking of injuries already; Year 4 for Johnson is another Year Zero after the guy they spent on in the portal got hurt. Seth likes (and pronounces) Lu'Cye Patterson at PG, and we all respect Dawson Garcia, but with their only other returner being carried off the court it could be rough. Predicted finish: 17th. Nebrasketball: Welcome to The Great Mid: Every basketball team from here on save Purdue is ranked closely together. Close loss to St Mary's in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Injury to stretch 5 Rienk Mast really hurts them. We like Brice Williams and Juwan Gary, think Rollie Worster from Utah is a decent PG, but lost too much to make the tournament. Predicted finish: 15th. Rutgers: This is where I'm mad about the Kenpom format. Two top-5 freshmen join a very good backcourt of Williams and Derkack, but the loss of their center looms large. Problem is spacing. Predicted finish: 5th. Northwestern: Respectable loss at Dayton (71-66) and nonrespectable OT win vs #324 Eastern Illinois. No more Boo, and you can't make Ty Berry into that guy. Matthew Nicholson is a truck driver, Brooks Barnhizer has a bad stache, Nick Martinelli will have to drive the team. True freshman PG? Ew. Predicted finish: 12th. Iowa: Payton Sandfort is going to have to shoot, and shoot he shall. Josh Dix is going to have to take on a lot more usage unless Brock Harding can learn to score. Will be bad on defense but mid their way to wins with Owen Freeman the latest yucky C. Predicted finish: 13th. Michigan State: What are they doing in this section? It's a very Izzo team, with no idea what they're doing at C because nobody gets developed, and nobody making threes. But they do have athletes and Izzo will make them play defense. Frankie Fidler from Neb-Omaha was the top transfer in the conference, Jaden Akins and Jeremy Fears have talent. They'll be…MSU. Predicted finish: 5th, deservedly 8th. Maryland: I don't know any of these guys –Brian. Julian Reese at center you know. They're heavily reliant on a #12 overall Derik Queen, a one-and-done at the wing, but that's working so far, got a 4-point loss to Marquette out of him. Ja'Kobi Gillespie and Selton Miguel are a decent backcourt. Very mid. Predicted finish: 11th. 3. Big Ten Basketball Preview: The Top Nine to Kenpom Starts at 1:01:27 Penn State Way high at #34 due to a win over (very bad, no PG) Virginia Tech. Ace Baldwin is the latest PG who carries them, though there's some upside in Tennessee transfer Freddie Dilione. Predicted finish: 14th. Oregon is also rated too highly. Altman gets the kinds of guys who get rated for NBA purposes but makes decent teams out of them. C Nate Bittle and SF TJ Bamba are good enough to carry them, got an efficient PF from Stanford and upgraded PG Jackson Shelstad to a sophomore, so they're mid. Predicted finish: 10th. Indiana got some decent portal pickups but let's say it again: no shooting! We like former 5-star Stanford transfer Kanaan Carlyle and PG Myles Rice from P12, Oumar Ballo is 5-star from Zona to rim protect. So athletic, so little shooting. Predicted finish: 9th. Michigan 6th. Wisconsin: Back to being extremely Wisconsin including a 103-88 win vs Zona that featured a parade of whistles. Steven Crowl is now a point center extraordinaire, Nolan Winter is the next 6'11” shooter and rebounder, John Blackwell, Max Klesmit, and former CSU guard John Tonje can all play but not well enough to go to the NBA. PG Camren Hunter injury could set them back. Predicted finish: 4th. Ohio State: Led the year off with a win over Texas and a closs loss at A&M. Kept Bruce Thornton out of the draft and got back Meechie Johnson from a two-year lease to South Carolina. Added bigs from UK and Duke so maybe they can defense their way through the season. Predicted finish: 7th. Illinois: Only returning starter is burlyguard Ty Rodgers but they picked up two internationals who are Working Out: see threeing the hell out of Bama in a surprising road win. Ivisic is a 5-star little bro of the UK/Arkansas one, Kasparas Jakucionis is a lottery pick, Evansville transfer ben Humrichous is a stretch 4 with range, and backup PG from Zona Kylan Boswell and L'vile transfer Tre White have evident talent. Upgraded to predicted finish: 2nd. UCLA: Have a loss to New Mexico (not too bad and UCLA shot 5/23). Might be a defensive nightmare. Got Eric Dailey who we wanted, also Tyler Bilodeau, an Iggy like PF. Skyy Clark is not a good basketball player but Mick Cronin manages to win in ways Brian hates. Predicted finish: 3rd. Purdue: Matt Painter is the best coach in CBB. Braden Smith it turns out is much better than “guy who lobs it to Edey.” They found three more huge centers, though none are 7'4”, and the new freshman Gicarri Harris fits right in, looks like a find. Fletcher Loyer and Trey Kaufman-Renn round out the most complete roster in the league. Predicted finish: distant 1st. 4. Hot Takes and Around the Big Ten with Jamie Mac Starts at 1:36:13 Guys I want to get this out: you know the scores. Northwestern shot themselves in the foot, MSU has no pass rush, Purdue is dead as a door nail, Washington-UCLA is how we learned UCLA lost their 4th eligible year of a starting quarterback to being the holder in 2021. Today's episode is called Strange Things are afoot at the Circle K. Unlike a regular episode, Patreon allows us to venture out of the Pacific Northwest. And in this case, I will be taking us to Naples, Florida, where 20 years ago, within just a couple months of each other, two men in Naples, Florida disappeared. They didn't have a ton in common except for both being young, hard working fathers. Another thing they have in common? The last time either of them was seen alive, they were being placed in the back of the same police officer's vehicle. Today I'll be telling the stories of Terrance Williams and Felipe Santos, and the last man seen interacting with them, Cpl. Steven Calkins. The 15 members of the Baltimore City Council do not elect the council's leader from among themselves like most legislative bodies. Instead, city directly elect the president of the City Council. Several candidates are vying for the role in the 2024 election. In the Democratic primary, where the winner is almost assured of winning the seat, incumbent Council President Nick Mosby faces two formidable challenges; Shannon Sneed, who represented East Baltimore on the council from 2016 to 2020, and Zeke Cohen, who has represented Southeast Baltimore's 1st District since 2016. During his time on the council, Cohen pushed for trauma-informed care and tighter rules on lobbying in the city. Now is running for Council president. What are his priorities, if elected? Two decades ago two young men disappeared in Naples under mysterious circumstances. Terrance Williams and Felipe Santos were both last seen with the same Collier County Sheriff's deputy, Steven Calkins. They were both men of color in their 20s. And they were both last seen in Deputy Calkins' patrol car. Deputy Calkins was fired after his story changed when questioned. He denied wrongdoing. He's the only person of interest in the cases, but law enforcement never found evidence against him. This week, on Friday, Jan. 12, it will be 20 years since Terrance went missing.

This is one of the most baffling stories we have ever covered. Terrance Williams and Felipe Santos were two young men who vanished into thin air under eerily similar circumstances. In January of 2004, Terrance vanished after he was last seen getting into the backseat of Sheriff's Deputy Steven Calkins' car, who initially said he had no recollection of the event. Later, his memory would return and he said he'd only given Terrance a ride to work at a nearby Circle K. This story left so many questions unanswered: Terrance did not work at the Circle K, so why would he have told the deputy that? And where had he gone after the Circle K? This case would become even more baffling when it was connected to the disappearance of a man named Felipe Santos, who had gone missing a few months before Terrance after last being seen in Deputy Calkins' squad car. At that time, Calkins had said he'd only given Felipe a ride.... to a nearby Circle K. Welcome to the seventh episode of P.S.A, the Mental Health Podcast where we deep dive into the intersections between mental health, society, and technology. This episode features our special guest, Terrance Williams, founder of Meta Wellness, a cutting-edge company utilizing Virtual Reality (VR) to revolutionize mental health therapy. Join your host Izzy, who deftly combines humor and insights, while unpacking this profound topic. In this episode, Izzy steers the conversation with her usual charm and wit, making several humorous references to iRobot, and other scenarios where AI takes over the world, teasingly questioning if our VR endeavors might head us towards a similar path. Together, Izzy and Terrance demystify complex concepts and their impacts on mental health, including AI, Virtual Reality, and social media, all the while ensuring a light-hearted atmosphere reminiscent of a happy hour. Following an intriguing discussion about the growing popularity of TikTok videos featuring people living in vans, and Izzy's ran following the success of Musiq Soulchild's return on "See the Thing Is" Podcast with Bridget Kelly and Mandii B, Terrance shares the inspirations behind Meta Wellness. He delves into his decision-making process and his personal journey that led to the creation of VR simulations for mental health professionals, all triggered by his commitment to men's mental health advocacy. Further into the episode, we explore recent research illustrating how VR exposure therapy has proven effective in treating PTSD, anxiety disorders, and chronic pain. We also challenge societal norms around men's mental health, focusing on the pressures and expectations faced by men and how this impacts their decision-making processes. This episode also engages with the potential negatives of VR, including addiction, escapism, how the future will mirror the hit tv show "Futurama", and its impact on mental health. Terrance answers the tough questions, candidly discussing the potential pitfalls of VR, including whether it's possible to garner genuine compassion and facilitate forgiveness through this digital medium. Despite the challenges, Terrance remains hopeful, believing that VR can play a revolutionary role in the mental health industry. He shares his experiences from Meta Wellness, highlighting success stories where VR has significantly impacted mental health treatment. Amidst the in-depth discussions, we have moments of fun as Izzy introduces a game segment: "Reality or Virtual Reality?" where Terrance has to determine if various scenarios are reality or the product of VR simulation, adding a playful element to the conversation. Our episode closes with Terrance offering valuable advice for those seeking to make better decisions for their mental health, especially in this age where social media and online platforms can be a double-edged sword. He also compares men buying blue checks on social media is equivalent to women wearing makeup and lashes
In the fall of 2003, Felipe Santos, a 23-year-old undocumented migrant worker from Mexico went missing after a minor fender bender in Naples, Florida. Three months later, 27-year-old Terrance Williams disappeared from the same stretch of road. Both were men of color and both were last sighted in the back of a police car, driven by the same white Sheriff's deputy. Today, we bring you the first episode of "The Last Ride," an investigative series exploring why, nearly 20 years later, these disappearances remain unsolved.

Men's Basketball vs Vanderbilt starts at 1:00 Three minutes of describing how ludicrous it would have to be to lose a game up 8 with 1:34 left, and Brian just saying "Yeah" for those entire three minutes. Michigan is the 336th luckiest team in D-I basketball! There's no way this all happens again next year... right? Dug was pretty good in this game but he's still a freshman point guard making some freshman mistakes, his decision making will improve next year. Would Joey Baker have been a better in-bounder? Youssef Khayat looked like a positive work in progress. [The rest of the writeup and the player after THE JUMP] 2. Men's Basketball Next Year starts at 21:17 They probably get Hunter Dickinson back for another season, he's probably going to get paid more at Michigan than he would anywhere else. Jett Howard is no longer listed in the lottery. Maybe he sticks around another year to help his dad out. There's a chance Kobe Bufkin comes back, but he has a tough choice to make. Michigan may be able to make it a financially viable enough reason to stay another year. We've seen freshman to sophomore leaps be huge before at point guard, hopefully Dug McDaniel can be the next one to do it. Haven't really heard about any names in the portal yet besides B.J. Mack. 3. Hot Takes and Hockey vs Minnesota starts at 44:53 Takes hotter than everybody's scalp when Terrance Williams was bringing the ball out at the end of the basketball game. Losing to a 16-seed - bad? We agree it's bad. Michigan looked like the better team in two out of three periods against the #1 team in the country in an away environment on Olympic ice - felt like the final exam. In this same tournament, Michigan played a couple stinkers against Wisconsin, so we've seen them at their best and their worst. Could Michigan win a seven-game series against Minnesota? We don't hate Michigan's chances against any team in the NCAA tournament. The announcers did not understand how offsides work... This was recorded before the selection show but Michigan is the 3rd #1 seed in Allentown, Pennsylvania against Colgate (Penn State and Michigan Tech are also in Allentown). The one thing you want to avoid in the tournament is a really good goalie. 4. Gimmicky Top Five starts at 1:26:41 Things that faded late. In honor of... yeah. Seth comes out of the gate swinging hard. Should Tom Bombadil have been included in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy? Click here to learn every theory about Tom Bombadil. FIX YOUR NET, MINNESOTA. Men's Basketball vs Indiana starts at 1:00 Yay, let's talk about basketball (the apathy is settling in). How bad is the Big Ten? If Michigan makes that basket at the buzzer then they would be sitting alone at second place in the Big Ten. It's a disappointing year but you're not going to do anything with Juwan. Keep Jett around one more year by raising his allowance to the largest allowance ever? Hunter Dickinson has gone from borderline All-American to not even All-Big Ten. Not getting much of anything out of Terrance Williams. Pick and roll defense needs a lot of improvement. [The rest of the writeup and the player after THE JUMP] 2. Men's Basketball vs Nebraska starts at 30:23 Do you remember more about this game or about the Nebraska football game? Brian wants to just have the same point guard for two years in a row... but he'll take Keisei Tominaga. David talks Brian into pulling tractors with Blake Corum. What were we talking about again? Oh yeah Nebraska sports. Jett Howard got 14 3-pointers off - Nebraska is not good at three point defense. 3. Hot Takes & Hockey vs Michigan State starts at 44:55 Takes hotter than Jagger Joshua on a hot mic. Seth forgot to mention on his hot take that Mike Hart doesn't lose to Michigan State and that drives them completely insane. Michigan retains The Iron D for the 6th year in a row. It's silly that you could win three of the four games in the series but lose The Battle in the D and lose The Iron D. Michigan gets major penalties and ejections in the first game and then misses out on a major penalty in the second game. Jay Keranen really stepped up this weekend. Michigan nearly has home ice locked down in the Big Ten Tournament. 4. Gimmicky Top Five Things That Are Not Michigan State's Fault starts at 1:18:27 Michigan State's empty trophy cabinets are not Michigan State's fault, according to Michigan State. In January of 2004, 27-year-old Terrance Williams disappeared in the early morning hours. His mother soon found out that he was last seen getting into the back of a police cruiser in Naples, Florida. The deputy reported that he'd dropped Terrance off at a nearby gas station. It wasn't long before Terrance's mother found that her son wasn't the last young man seen in the police car belonging to the same deputy: Steven Calkins. Three months prior, 23-year-old Felipe Santos disappeared after getting into Calkins' service vehicle following a minor car accident. Calkins said that he'd also dropped Felipe off at a nearby gas station. There was no video footage and no witnesses to corroborate Calkins' story. Neither man has been seen since. Was this just a coincidence and was Calkins just the unluckiest man in the world? Or, more likely, was Calkins responsible for the disappearances, and likely murders, of Terrance and Felipe?
