This week on the MalloryBros. podcast the Bros are back to start the new year off VIRTUALLY as Terrell's son has come down with a small sickness. Nonetheless, the Bros kick it off with a Weekend Recap to recap how they brought in the New Year together with their fiancé's, free of the kids. Next the Bros talk about Streaming and its future with Hip Hop as in recent hears it's been a platform within the community. Next the Bros talk about the Awards Season starting up with Critics Choice awards. They discuss some winners and moments and muddle over what exactly we can expect this Awards season. Chaim Bloom follows with insight on the Cardinals' offseason strategy, roster decisions, and long-term vision, including the situation surrounding Nolan Arenado. As the 2025 NFL regular season reaches its final weekend, Missing the Point breaks down Week 18 of the NFL season, the finalized playoff picture, and the quarterbacks who defined the year. Hosted by Dave Clarke and Bob Kelly, this episode delivers a full NFL playoff preview along with in-depth 2025 NFL quarterback power rankings based on what actually happened on the field. This is not a preseason projection episode. This is about who earned it. Dave and Bob analyze the top teams heading into the postseason, including the New England Patriots, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, and Philadelphia Eagles. They break down matchups, seeding implications, and which teams look built to survive January football. A major focus of the episode is the 2025 NFL quarterback power rankings, where Dave and Bob rank quarterbacks based on full-season performance, not reputation. They evaluate efficiency, consistency, decision-making, durability, supporting cast impact, and how much each quarterback elevated his team. Quarterbacks discussed include Drake Maye of the Patriots, Caleb Williams of the Bears, Josh Allen of the Bills, Lamar Jackson of the Ravens, Brock Purdy of the 49ers, Matthew Stafford of the Rams, Jalen Hurts of the Eagles, Bo Nix of the Broncos, Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars, and Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs. Dave explains why some quarterbacks who entered the season with MVP expectations failed to meet the moment, while others quietly established themselves as legitimate franchise leaders. Bob adds context around coaching stability, offensive scheme, and how late-season performance often tells the real story heading into the playoffs. The episode also previews Wild Card Weekend, discussing which teams are dangerous lower seeds, which favorites feel vulnerable, and which quarterbacks are under the most pressure once the postseason begins. The conversation highlights how Week 18 results, recent trends, and injury context shape expectations far more than early-season narratives. Key topics covered in this episode include: NFL Week 18 playoff seeding scenarios 2025 NFL playoff preview and Wild Card matchups Full NFL quarterback power rankings Patriots and Bears postseason expectations Which quarterbacks can win playoff games Teams built for January football Late-season trends that matter in the playoffs If you’re searching for NFL Week 18 analysis, 2025 NFL playoff preview, NFL quarterback rankings, Patriots playoff breakdown, Bears postseason outlook, or who the best quarterbacks in the NFL were this season, this episode delivers detailed, opinion-driven analysis without hot takes or manufactured controversy. MNF Recap NFL Playoff Picture and Giants Lamar Jackson?
The Rams lost to the Falcons last night and it did alter the path for the Seahawks as they can now only get the 1 or 5 seed in the NFC, the 6th is off the board, so thank you Atlanta! That means, the playoff path either runs through Seattle or starts in Tampa Bay or Carolina, which seems like a better option that Philly or Chicago! :30- Sam Darnold isn't playing as well as he did in the first half of the season and that's the bigger concern for Hugh Millen, not the turnovers. The offense was humming for awhile and the Darnold to JSN connection had everyone talking, but it's fallen off in the second half of the season. We don't need Darnold to carry the team to the Super Bowl on his back, but we do need him to play better to get there. :45- It's our final show of 2025- do we believe in New year's resolutions? The Seahawks got win #13 in Carolina yesterday and we bring in the experts to help us dive into it all!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We are starting off with GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) live from Charlotte. The Seahawks offense struggled in the first half yesterday, but things came together in the 2nd half as the team picked up it's 13th win on the road against the Panthers. Is the offense more concerning or is the defense more impressive? Is Zach Charbonnet wrestling the starting job away from Ken Walker? :30- A lot shook out in week 17, so grab your cold turkey sandwich, we're checking the board of scores! :45- Coach Bucky is here! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It's time to MMQB with HUGH MILLEN How did Hugh feel about the Seahawks getting their 13th win on the road against Carolina? We have to start with the defense. Was there anything in particular that Mike MacDonald and the defense did to confuse the Panthers? It was another game with some Darnold turnovers, has Hugh's level of concern increased? How would Hugh grade Sam for the season, on yesterday's performance and who gets a lower grade? :30- We are back with Hugh for more MMQB- Is AJ Barner Mr Reliable? JSN keeps finding a way…. Now, about that facemask penalty! :45- Next up, the Seahawks face the 49ers- how dangerous is this San Francisco team? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Coach MIKE HOLMGREN joins the program as we get his thoughts on the win over the Panthers and the upcoming game with the 49ers on Saturday. How is Coach feeling about Sam Darnold right now? Is Charbonnet primed to take Ken Walker's starting spot? :30- We are back with Coach & Hugh for more MMQB What does Coach think about this 49ers/Seahawks matchup on Saturday? Who has the advantage- the offensive or the defensive guru? :45- We close out the show with one last thing for Coach! Could turnovers be the reason the Seahawks don't win the Super Bowl? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Headlines and the good, the bad and the ugly. It doesn't matter how you win in the NFL, they all count the same, but yesterday's win sits on the shoulder's of the Seahawks defense after they bailed Sam Darnold out repeatedly. Should we be concerned about Sam Darnold's turnovers as we head into the final week of the regular season and the playoffs? The first half of yesterday's game was ugly offensively, but they figured it out in the 2nd half yet again, meanwhile the defense continues to dominate. :30- Should Kyle Shanahan win Coach of the year? Even we have to admit that what he's done with this 49er team this year is impressive. Purdy has been good and McCaffrey has been healthy and the niners keep find a way to win with those two. :45- We always here from Seahawks head coach Mike MacDonald after a game and today is no different! What did Coach have to say about the win and the turnover concern? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The NFL Playoff Picture is coming into full view but teams really muddy-ed the waters with the results of week 16 across the NFL. The Jacksonville Jaguars dropped their statement win of the season on the Denver Broncos and now about 5 different teams can win the AFC's #1 seed. Trevor Lawrence and Co showed they are a legit Super Bowl contending team. The New England Patriots rallied behind Drake Maye and knocked off the Baltimore Ravens to stay a game ahead of the Bills in the AFC East. The Pittsburgh Steelers held on to win a whacky game in Detroit, earning our Hemingway moniker but today DK Metcalf found out that he will be suspended for the final two games of the 2025 NFL season. The Chargers, Texans and Bills all won over teams already eliminated so they could keep pace in the playoff race. And in the NFC, the Eagles took care of the Commanders on Saturday afternoon to feel better about their chances in the playoffs. The Bears had a miraculous comeback against the Packers to further solidify their claim to the NFC North throne. And the fellas breakdown the wild NFC South, a division that both teams, the Panthers and Buccaneers, both seemingly don't want to win.
