Hack the Movies is the "#1 Movie Review Podcast Filmed at an Abandoned Video Store" ...as voted on by Tony (from Hack the Movies.) If you liked Cinemassacre's Rental Reviews, you'll like 'Talking About Tapes'. That's our Monday retro review, pulled from our collection of VHS tapes. On Thursday, expect a review on something new or currently streaming. Join our rotating medley of misfits as they showcase their wasted lifetimes (dedicated to movies) for your entertainment.
The Hack The Movies podcast is a mixed bag of entertainment. While the hosts may not always provide deep insight or thought-provoking analysis, there is something oddly captivating about their mediocre banter. Tonyfromhackthemovies, the charming bully of the group, brings a unique energy and can get away with anything, while Newt serves as the funniest guy on the planet. Their conversations are often hilarious and filled with memorable stories.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is its lighthearted and humorous approach to discussing movies. It doesn't take itself too seriously, making it perfect for those looking to have a good time without being overwhelmed by bombastic celebrity guests or over-the-top analysis. The show typically features a new guest for each episode, adding fresh perspectives and keeping things interesting.
While some may criticize the lack of deep insights in their reviews, there are moments where the hosts genuinely offer interesting opinions and insights that stand out from typical movie reviews. This is not an easy feat to achieve in a saturated market, and it adds value to the overall listening experience. Additionally, Tony shines as a great host, and all the co-hosts bring their own unique charm to the show.
On the downside, there are times when the podcast lacks substance or coherent discussions. Some listeners may find themselves craving more depth or thoughtful analysis when it comes to movie discussions. However, for those seeking light-hearted banter and enjoyable conversations about films, this may not be a significant drawback.
In conclusion, The Hack The Movies podcast is an entertaining show that offers a fun take on movies without taking itself too seriously. While it may not always deliver in terms of deep insights or thought-provoking content, its humor and enjoyable conversations make it worth tuning in every week. Whether you're a masochist like me who can't help but listen or someone looking for an amusing film podcast to brighten your day, I recommend giving Hack The Movies a shot.

Todd McFarlane's Spawn was a huge comic and toy line in the 90's. It only made sense that they would make a live action film.
