In this episode, the gang dips into the mailbag to Create-A-Pitcher, offer some thoughts on Colt Emerson and Cole Young, and whether Luke Raley could outhit Rob Refsnyder against lefties just laying bunts down. The M's are undefeated since the last pod, and the piggyback seems to be working. We talk about Julio's hot start at the plate, and his potentially declining defense.Link to our Discord: https://discord.gg/XEHGvnaxBuy Mikey a hot and sexy pedal hehe: Electronic Audio Experiments Dude Incredible V2 Guitar Effects Pedal | Reverb

Are you ready to separate small-sample noise from actual long-horizon dynasty value? We are cutting through the hype to break down the crucial contender-versus-rebuilder forks that will define your season across Fantrax, Sleeper, and NFBC leagues. We dive deep into the underlying metrics of major market movers, debated players, and rising pipeline talent. As we noted during the show regarding the current landscape: "Unless the return is so overwhelming that you don't have to quote-unquote 'ask the experts,' just keep Judge. It ain't that complicated."The Kyle Tucker Reality Check: Despite landing a massive $240M contract with the Dodgers, his xwOBA is stuck in the 64th percentile. Are they getting their money's worth, or should dynasty managers view this as a mundane plateau? The Justin Wrobleski "Ocean's 11" Warning: Do not get fooled by an ERA starting with a two and a handful of wins on a powerhouse Dodgers team. His horrific 4.85 xFIP and a baseline 4.8 K/9 are a major red flag. Our advice? Run and hide. Move him now before the floor drops. The Colt Emerson Shiny New Toy Trap: Don't get blinded by a 20-year-old reaching the big leagues. His production mirrors Cole Young and J.P. Crawford—elite for real-life Seattle defense, but a fantasy profile that fields better than it hits.Gavin Sheets is on a Heater: He's crushing the ball with 7 homers over three weeks for San Diego, but his underlying bat speed and EV metrics are identical to his last five seasons. Enjoy the run, but do not chase it as a long-term investment asset.Kyle Tucker & Aaron Judge: Roster building windows and why you shouldn't Galaxy Brain yourself into trading away cornerstone bats for pennies on the dollar.Eury Pérez: Why his 117 Stuff+ on a newly adopted 2-seamer sinker makes him an elite buy-low target for rebuilders despite ugly surface numbers.Michael Soroka & Ryne Nelson: How to leverage their dominant May stats to acquire cheap, highly productive depth for a championship run.Mason Miller: The absolute necessity of trading away volatile elite closers if your roster is in a full rebuild window. The Long Game Prospect Stashes: Deep-dive evaluations on under-the-radar targets breaking the models, including Kane Kepley (Cubs), Yasser Mercedes (Twins), Nick Becker (Mariners), and Nolan Perry (Blue Jays).

Munetaka Murakami is the biggest sell high of the fantasy baseball season so far, and Joe Bond and Corey Pieper both agree you should be moving him right now for legitimate top-tier talent before the league figures out how to pitch to him. On the waiver wire add side, AJ Applegarth and Joe run through Nolan Arenado, Cole Young, Moises Ballesteros, JR Ritchie, Chase Dollander, Foster Griffin, and Spencer Arrighetti. AJ was skeptical on Arenado while Joe and Corey are riding the hot bat, and Dollander gets the strongest endorsement of the group despite sitting at just 46% rostership. Jarren Duran is the rage drop of the week, with Joe keeping him for now but benching him in every league — Corey and Joe went deep on why he simply cannot be started right now despite the massive upside. Also on the drop list: Luis Castillo, Giancarlo Stanton, and Eugenio Suarez. Rankings risers this week include Mike Trout, Randy Arozarena, Josh Jung, Jose Soriano, Nolan McLean, Bryan Baker, and Louie Varland. Falling down the board: Jarren Duran, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Rafael Devers, Devin Williams, Aaron Nola, Salvador Perez, and Logan Gilbert. Corey leads the buy low and sell high segment. Buy low targets are Ketel Marte, Freddie Freeman, and Matthew Boyd — all three have strong underlying numbers that do not match their surface stats. The sell highs are JJ Wetherholt, Mickey Moniak, and Murakami, with Joe and Corey both making the case that Murakami hype is at its peak and you can flip him for serious value right now. RUNDOWN Mitch and Scott kick off Episode 380 bouncing from NFL Draft randomness to a suddenly red-hot Mariners team, while laying out a packed show of Seahawks, Mariners, and Kraken breakdowns. Along the way, Mitch zeroes in on John Schneider's shift from "fancy" to predictable—and why that might actually be the secret sauce behind Seattle's recent success. Seahawks flips four picks into eight and checks most of its boxes, but the first-round running back raises eyebrows—was it smart roster building or a forced move? Seahawks No-Table dig into Schneider's "fairways and greens" approach, question the risk in the backfield, and spotlight key additions like Bud Clark while hinting that help at edge rusher is still coming. A sweep in St. Louis flips the vibe fast—suddenly the bats are alive, the lineup is producing, and Seattle looks like a real contender again. Mariners No-Table break down the surge from the big hitters, the rise of Cole Young as a legit everyday piece, and why this stretch could be the turning point—if they keep stacking wins against weaker opponents. The Kraken's late-season free-fall gets real—what looked like a playoff team turns out to be smoke, mirrors, and unsustainable luck. Kraken No-Table dig into a fragile roster, mixed messaging from leadership, and a franchise stuck between rebuilding and pretending it's close—setting up a pivotal, "prolific" offseason that could finally define a direction. Ian teases some impending NBA news and then gets to the NFL Draft. We walk through the crazy Saturday the Seahawks had on Saturday. Hugh Millen, Hardcore Football! Hugh was out in Seattle this weekend for the draft and tells Ian how much he loves watching it all. As always, Hugh gives us a full breakdown of what he sees in the Seahawks' draft acquisitions. Hugh continues on with Ian to discuss specifics on Julian Neal, who wowed everyone on his draft day. Hugh thinks he's "Witherspoon Junior" and can't wait to see it. Also, he thinks NFL draft grades at this point are trash. Tim Booth broke the story today that NBA expansion news will likely go beyond this summer. We're gonna have to wait a little longer. Ian provides the details. Mollywhop Monday! Chris Crawford and Nathan Bishop join us to break down the sweep we saw this weekend - why do they always succeed over weekends? What a vintage weekend it was. While it's exciting what they did, there are still some misses we're seeing. How do they fix it? They also discuss the right fits for the lineup and who should be where. Where is Cal Raleigh right now? Josh Naylor is warming up, and we didn't see that taking too long - he's on the right path. Chris and Nathan hang with Ian to tell us how much love we should be giving to Cole Young right now. The team is actually graduating a positional player to more value than we've seen them do in the past. Finally, who is the next to come up from the minors? And, of course, some predictions. We listen back to Jadarian Price as he spoke with Ian and Hugh after beings selected in the first round to the Seahawks. Checking in on the Texts and Talkbacks! Crosstalk with Softy!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
