My Father's House is a Spirit-Filled, Family Church in Fort Wayne, IN. This podcast provides teaching, instruction, encouragement, and correction for life based on the Word of God.
There is a dominion that is on us. It is the government of the Lord Jesus Christ. Because He rules and reigns in the lives of His children, the power is in each one of us. His government is on your shoulders, which allows you to walk in His dominion and authority.
Last week we dove into the book of Habakkuk to discover that God's love endures when you face trials and injustice. Continue the journey with us as we explore more truths from this book that will help us stand in God's love despite difficult circumstances around us.
As Psalm 136 says of the Lord, “His faithful love endures forever.” His love endures when you face trials & grief. His love endures when you see injustices around you. His love endures when you don't see breakthrough and are confused about where God is in a situation.
Love conquers sin! As Christians, we are exhorted in the Word to put off the “Old Self” on the “New Self”. This new nature is fashioned according to God's blueprint for our lives.
Jesus asked Peter three questions. Were there three different questions OR was it the same question - three times? Why does John report that ". . . Peter was hurt. . ." following the third question? Was he hurt because Jesus asked the same question three times or because of the question, that he was asked the third time? We will explore.
It's time for us to let go of all the fleshly things which we have held firmly to, and truly re-center our hearts on Him. It is time for us to put our trust and confidence in Him and Him alone!
At the center of the Gospel Message is the immense, unfailing, unconditional love of God! Jesus became the sacrifice for us because of His Unfailing Love! He did it by love, through love, and for love.
The book of Leviticus is a "how-to manual" on what God wanted for the children of Israel to learn about faith and obedience to Him. What did that look like and how can we still live in sacrifice to God today?
The choices and decisions that we make in our own personal lives regarding relationships will affect our success and well-being. The all important key will be to ". . . live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord." (I Cor. 7:35)
Jesus equipped His disciples to turn the world upside down by training them to do His works. He even predicted that they would do greater works than He did. As the time of His return gets ever nearer, the urgency of disciple-making has become paramount.

God wants us to walk every day abiding in Him and have His love for the lost. He will turn the hearts of the sons to the fathers, and your private intimacy with the Father will pour out His passion in public. This will bring our prodigal brothers home. Our First Love needs to be Jesus above anyone or anything.
The woman in Luke 8:40- reached out and touched the edge of Jesus' robe with the faith that she would be healed. Jesus saw her when He felt power go out of him, just like He sees you in your condition, and wants to send you out healed to touch a broken world.
God has anointed and appointed you for a special purpose and destiny. You can overcome the challenges that come your way like David and walk into your destiny.
Shame comes from hell and comes in many shapes and forms. Shame and condemnation reminds you of your sin, strangles your destiny, and is a prison that keeps you. The Lord wants to remove shame permanently from your life. The Lord wants to remove shame permanently from your life and set you free.
As followers of Jesus we have been given dynamic, strong and miraculous power. We have been sent out to the world with the same power and authority with which Jesus sent out his disciples in Mark 6:7.
Probably most Christians believe that they should be like Jesus, at least to some extent. However the Bible teaches that Jesus expected his disciples to do the works that he did and to even exceed that by doing greater works than he did. While we are praying and waiting for God to do something like this, he is waiting on us to believe and to step out in faith, and prove Jesus true to his word by doing his works.
Both deep roots and and good fruit point to a healthy productive plant, one that not only survives but thrives through sun and storms. Spiritually we aim for the same, but how you cultivate your field and care for the plants by allowing the work of the Father the guidance of the Holy Spirit will determine the outcome.
Today we live in a world with an unlimited, infinite amount of information at our finger tips. How do YOU determine what is truth or what is a lie, or what is beneficial or what is harmful? We will look at a Biblical account regarding a prophet and prophets that I believe shares some interesting insights to consider AND then share some information contrasting the office of the prophet with the gift of prophecy AND also answer God's question (noted in the title of the message) with God's own answer!
Did you receive something from God—deliverance, healing, blessing? What do you do when it looks like it's slipping through your fingers what do you do when it looks like it's slipping through your fingers, when doubts or fears arise, or when symptoms are returning? How do you fight back? The Scriptures are replete with answers to these questions, but today we will consider only three aspects.
Today we address the tremendous blessing that comes with our covenant partnership with God.
Today we address bringing tithes, offerings, and first fruits gifts to God.
So may we never be arrogant, or look down on another, for each of us is an original… (Galatians 5:26 TPT) As His originals, our assignment is to keep being compassionate to those who still have doubts, to snatch others out of the fire to save them, to be merciful over and over to them, always coupling our mercy with the fear of God. As for our own lives, we must guard our hearts, and keep ourselves free from the pollutions of the flesh. That's what a quick snapshot of “walking by the Spirit”.
Many Christians feel that walking by the Spirit is very difficult. My pastor, Dr. Lester Sumrall used to say, "God cannot bless ignorance. If God's Holy Spirit is to function fully in our lives, we must have an open heart and a consuming desire to know all we can about the nature and role of the Holy Spirit." Even though our flesh (our sin nature) and the Holy Spirit are opposing forces in constant conflict, God initiated powerful strategies to enable us to walk by the Spirit and dominate the sin nature.
It's important for us to build a strong spirit so we choose more often than not, to rely on the Holy Spirit in us. There are several spiritual disciplines found in the Word of God that can help us to build a strong spirit.
Water Baptism is an outward, public display of a person's change on the inside, due to the Holy Spirit bringing conviction of sin, repentance, and forgiveness. By obeying the command to be baptized, we identify with the power of the cross and resurrection, to deliver us completely from the power and authority of sin.
Paul urges us in Galatians 5:16 to, “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” We have a sinful nature that is in conflict with the Spirit. It is important for us as followers of Jesus to understand that the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit and vice versa.
What can save America? People are looking for someone to guide them through the difficulties of life/help them navigate around the rocks in the river called life. What they need though is fathers. That is God's order.
Our message title is taken from James 5:17,18 regarding Elijah, a prophet of God who lived in some very challenging times. Though we read about him in I Kings 19 that "(he) was afraid and ran for his life."; we will look at some events in his life that show an example of a man of great faith JUST LIKE US! Right?? Carrying out John 14:12; right??
Since James, undoubtedly the brother of Jesus and a leader of the church in Jerusalem wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that: "Elijah was a man just like us. . . " (James 5:17 NIV), I would like to take a look at US, by taking just an overview of the life and times of the prophet, Elijah in the message today.
The Holy Spirit plays several roles in our lives that gird us with strength and help us to live in the victorious life that Jesus died to give us. Because He is with me, the impossible becomes possible!
Has your miracle been slow to come? Like Blind Bart you can have your vision restored and receive your miracle. Jesus is waiting for you to call upon Him. Here is His invitation, “…call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” Ps 50:15 ESV
Let's continue to explore together how our faith can overcome and how we can receive the promised result of healing, wellness, and wholeness.
Many have become discouraged and lost hope while trying separately to cope and to overcome the stress of daily life. The life story of one woman in the Bible stands out as a stellar example of emerging in victory over vexation against all the odds.
When it seems like your healing is progressing very slowly (or not at all), it's easy to become discouraged and to give up hope. The Word of God assures us that Jesus carried our sicknesses, diseases, and pain to the cross when He sacrificed His life in atonement for our sins. So what can be done when prolonged illness robs us of our covenant healing? Let's explore together how our faith can overcome and how we can receive the promised result.
The Lord desires that we be “unstuck” from our limited way of thinking so that we can be “transformed by the renewing of our minds” (Romans 12:2).
The Apostle Paul, arguably the greatest Messianic rabbi of the New Testament, eloquently wrote about his relationship with Jesus whom he acknowledges as the Messiah. He stressed the importance of knowing Him and the power of His resurrection, in describing the value of that relationship. The question is, how much do you value your relationship with God through His Son Jesus the Messiah? Are you willing to pay the price of following Him and being changed by Him? In order to truly celebrate in the power of His resurrection, we must also be willing to count the cost.
The early church in the Book of Acts grew rapidly and then multiplied greatly. Thankfully they never forgot the principles Jesus taught them. Consequently, they raised up a continual stream of disciple-making leaders. If they had not, there would be no hope for our generation nor the generation that follows.
In this message, we want to focus on three major aspects of the character of God from which He wants to relate to you personally. Understanding these three aspects will bring stability in your Christian walk, as God relates to you personally in ways that will keep you on the right path.
Guest minister Michael Livengood speaks at My Father's House church in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
When the road ahead is bumpy, we learn to walk by faith and not by sight. It looks like the season ahead is bumpy, but we don't have to walk alone. Like Enoch of old we can learn to walk with God and march into victory!
Growing up is not easy. In fact some people never seem to grow up and nothing is worse than aging without maturing. We are exhorted in the Word, that we should desire the pure milk of the Word, so that we can grow up (1 Peter 2:2). Today we will look at three categories of Christians, designated by John the apostle, according to their maturity levels.
From earliest times in the Bible, men and women who faced great challenges prayed and fasted. In New Testament times the Apostle Paul noted that he was "in fastings often". They knew the power of prayer and the secrets of fasting. Victories in life often don't come easy. Connecting with our heavenly Father in concerted prayer was never more needed than in our time. Today we review in depth what Jesus said and taught about prayer and fasting.
In this evening session, Pastor Emilio continues his teaching on the subject of reaching your family and nation.
Today, Pst Emilio Alonso from Matanzas, Cuba illustrates how any nation can be saved, if we will turn our families toward the Father's heart.
Your testimony is unique —there's only one you! Someone's salvation is awaiting your testimony.
He (Jesus) said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” It seems like a simple enough vision, but no one to our knowledge asked Him how He would accomplish that. Apparently, they just took the first step and asked questions later. In the end, He instructed them to make disciples of all nations, an instruction we take to be ours as well. Like those early disciples, it's left to us to take that same first step and then learn the rest as we go. Welcome to a great adventure
A redemption testimony of God's glory in taking someone from darkness to light. Tonya Schnitz shares her personal story and how God has moved powerfully in her life. True transformation is what Jesus is all about.
The Word of God speaks really clearly about how to treat your body, the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Believers must decide for themselves how that applies. Thankfully the Word has a lot to say regarding immunity and it's availability to followers of Christ. He is our Rock of salvation, healing and deliverance, just as He was for the Old Covenant Israelis in the desert.
Discernment, Diet, and Disciplines. To make disciples, we must help believers move from being carnal to being spiritual, and raise the whole church from immaturity to maturity. We need healthy churches, not just places of worship. Today's message is on one facet of church health, disciplines. Structuring and organizing for a healthy and vibrant church body is vital. Our mandate is to make disciples of nations and mature laborers for the greatest harvest of souls in history.
