The Neurodiverging podcast is an invaluable resource for parents of neurodivergent children, providing insights and understanding that can be difficult to find elsewhere. Hosted by Danielle, this podcast has quickly become a go-to for many individuals seeking support and information on how to navigate the unique challenges of raising neurodivergent children.
One of the best aspects of The Neurodiverging podcast is the range of topics covered. Danielle touches on a variety of subjects related to neurodiversity, such as autism, ADHD, and other developmental differences. She approaches each topic with empathy and depth, creating a space where parents can feel understood and validated in their experiences. Not only does she provide valuable tips and strategies for navigating everyday situations, but she also invites experts and professionals to share their knowledge, further enriching the content. This diverse range of topics ensures that there is something relevant for everyone who tunes in.
Another standout aspect of this podcast is Danielle's ability to create a safe and inclusive environment. As an autistic woman herself, she brings a unique perspective that resonates deeply with her audience. Her personal experiences allow her to offer authentic insights that are relatable to many listeners. This sense of authenticity fosters a strong sense of community among neurodivergent individuals and provides parents with reassurance that they are not alone in their journeys.
While The Neurodiverging podcast offers an abundance of valuable information and support, one potential downside is the frequency of episodes. As a relatively new podcast, episodes are released less frequently than some other shows in this genre. However, it's important to note that quality often trumps quantity when it comes to content creation, and each episode brings forth meaningful discussions that make the wait worthwhile.
In conclusion, The Neurodiverging podcast is a fantastic resource for parents navigating the complexities of raising neurodivergent children. With its diverse range of topics and Danielle's authentic approach as an autistic woman, this podcast offers a sense of community and understanding that is often difficult to find elsewhere. Despite the slightly lower frequency of episodes, the quality and depth of each discussion make it well worth the wait. Whether you're an autistic adult or someone seeking to understand the neurodivergent people in your life, The Neurodiverging podcast is highly recommended.

Today, we're happy to share an episode from Learn with Dr. Emily, where she interviews comedian and ADHDer, Penn Holderness. Enjoy! --- Growing up, Penn Holderness knew he was different than his friends. He had tics. He was called a spazz. He would cry really easily. In basketball practice, he would nearly chew through his shirt if he wasn't running around enough. If he was growing up in the 2020's, he'd be treated for ADHD pretty quickly. But back in the 80's, ADHD information wasn't widespread, and it wasn't until college that he was officially diagnosed. On today's episode, Penn talks about growing up with ADHD, finding his passion for music and performing arts, learning how to accept his limitations and lean into his superpowers, and how he would design a school for ADHD minds. Neurodivergent people must often manually process environmental data, such as sounds or sensory inputs, whereas neurotypical people are able to automate this process. Misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis. Disbelief from doctors and mental health professionals after you explain your symptoms. Being shuffled from one doctor to the next with no help in sight. Millions of neurodiverse women struggle everyday to get support from their healthcare and mental health professionals that actually improves their lives. So many of us are not getting our health needs met, and are falling into more anxiety and depression because of it. What could society do better to help us? Today, I am honored to present interviews with Lauren Melissa @autienelle, Dominica @the_ADHD_dynosaur, and Meg @arfidawareness to discuss their experiences getting help from medical and mental health systems for themselves and their families, what worked and what was a disaster, and what could be done to help neurodiverse people. - Hit the subscribe button to make sure you are notified when there's a new episode: https://mailchi.mp/66e2de2c4b59/signuphere - Check Neurodiverging out on Patreon, and support this podcast: https://www.patreon.com/neurodiverging - See Show Notes for this episode here: https://neurodiverging.com/take-better-care-neurodiverse-women/ - Find Neurodiverging on Bookshop here: https://bookshop.org/shop/neurodiverging
