Welcome to the season finale! This episode has been a long time coming and we are sure excited about it. Before we go on break for the holidays we wanted to get a panel together to discuss the common saying “Guys and girls can't just be friends” and see if there was any truth to it.  So OBVIOUSLY Alessandra had to invite all of her guy friends onto the show to get to the bottom of it :)  The episode has a grand total of 4 guests, lots of opinions, and many laughs.  Additionally, we found case study research to add a little scientific flavor to the conversation. Join  Maggie and Alessandra for our season finale as they interview Dominic, Nick, Evan, and Mathias about their experiences with friendships, having healthy relationships with the opposite gender, and answering the question “Can guys and girls be just friends?”We'll be back after the Holidays for our next season! Are YOU friends with your babysitter? Alessandra is, so she had her on the show. Turns out she's a big fan of podcasts so she fits right in. Welcome Raelene!! She grew up a couple of houses down from Alessandra and was entrusted with babysitting duties from a young age. The age gap makes for some fun perspectives, and apparently Alessandra's mom had way more of an impact on each of the girl's lives than she ever intended. There's some good wisdom about relationships, childhood, and God in this episode. We're totally doing this again. 

The friends-to-lovers trope is one that Maggie is particularly fond of, and Alessandra not so much.  They frequently discuss their differing views and thought it might be good to put the conversation into an episode for the rest of the world to experience. The beginning of the episode includes another “Bad Advice” segment, where the girls decide whether having hotter friends makes someone more friend-worthy. While recounting their own experiences of the friends-to-lovers trope, they learn a lot about each other and where their feelings for the trope might have stemmed from. Welcome friends! We have Madelyn Frost Arts back on the show this week because we simply cannot get enough of her. Today's episode starts out with our “UpDATE” segment, where the girls give the rundown on what's new with their online dating lives and Madelyn gives a brief overview of her Bumble excursions. We have a new segment, “Bad Advice,” where the girls talk about bad advice they've seen on the internet trying to be passed off as good advice. And, in the 3rd and final part of the show, Madelyn gives some background and insight into the characters of her webcomic. Specifically, the relationship of the hero and his mother (Spoilers!!). Our dating lives are turning out WAY different than we expected, we HARDCORE over analyze toxic memes, and we absolutely LOVE talking about boundaries between children and their parents! Buckle up and get ready!!! 

Madelyn is Alessandra's art friend (she made the Podcast cover art!) and she is the special guest today on the show. Tune in as we pick her brain about art, scripts, inspiration, surviving your twenties, boundaries, and a whole lot more! The girls are in celebration mode as Madelyn's webcomic (go check out CRUCIBLE!!) has just been released for the world to finally see. Dominic and Natalie have collectively seen the entirety of the show “Avatar: The Last Airbender” more than 20 times. They claim this show has been a key factor in their friendship development. Alessandra's brother Dominic is filling in for Maggie this week, and he is officially the first guest on the Pages podcast! He has become quite famous this season and we know you are all dying to meet him. This week's topic is about being friends with your siblings and the road it takes to get there. Alessandra and Dominic would know a thing or two about that, as they are both on the same level of weirdness and vibe quite easily. They spend the episode recounting their childhood years and what it took for them to truly grow as friends while being related to each other. Alessandra interviews Dominic and he gives some good advice for anyone who has the desire to grow a relationship with their siblings. 

Woe is me! Friendships are hard in general, but do you find your childhood friendships particularly stressful? What's up with that? This episode is a quick therapy session with Maggie and Alessandra where they discuss the struggles of maintaining relationships with childhood friends in college and how to establish proper boundaries with them. No one likes to find themselves in an uncomfortable situation, and that is exactly what we try to avoid. 

Social media is a controversial topic. In this episode, Alessandra and Maggie discuss their experiences and opinions about online friends.  Are you really friends with someone if you only know them online? Is that a good thing? Is it bad? Tune in to hear some fun stories as the girls talk about how social media has affected their relationships when meeting new people.  

Double trouble! In this episode, we analyze two myths in one go! They both have to do with the expectations of best friends and what is reasonable. (Spoiler! Lots of it really goes back to your personal responsibility). But wait! Shouldn't it be reasonable to have expectations for your best friends? Well, technically yes... and no. Not that we would know anything about having a significant other these days, but we sure do have an opinion on them! But what, you may ask, could be more romantic than falling in love with your best friend? Maggie and Alessandra dive into this myth that "best friends are forever" and come to some pretty interesting conclusions. They give their opinions and fears about a concept like this being a culturally normal mindset, especially when it comes to young people just trying to survive high school. 

The first myth we tackle is "everyone should have a best friend." But doesn't everyone have one? Why would that be a bad thing? Would that not be rather hypocritical considering Alessandra and Maggie are in fact "best friends"? Alessandra and Maggie give their opinion and insight on this hot topic.
