Traumatized by the service industry, two former co workers (Max Messier Richter & Dan Cotter) reminisce over the war stories and horrors of kitchens they've worked in. From drug ridden dishwashers to mentally ill line cooks and everyone and thing in between Rags To Dishes dives deep into the shadows of the culinary/service industry
The Rags To Dishes podcast is both distressing and disheartening. As a listener, I found it frustrating to not even be mentioned as a potential candidate for the best waitress award. However, despite this disappointment, I still thoroughly enjoyed the podcast. The hosts have a great dynamic and their honest, breezy, and fun conversations make the time fly by. The stories they share from their experiences in the restaurant industry are both vivid and relatable. Even though I may not understand the basketball references, I appreciate their ability to paint a true picture of the Wild West of the restaurant industry.
The best aspect of The Rags To Dishes podcast is its ability to capture the essence of working in a kitchen or restaurant. For anyone who has ever had experience in this field, it is easy to identify with the characters described by Max and Dan. Their stories bring back memories and provide a peek behind the curtain for those who haven't worked in a kitchen before. The mix of memories and anecdotes shared by these two gentlemen is both hilarious and entertaining.
Unfortunately, one of the worst aspects of this podcast is that it may not appeal to listeners who do not have any experience or interest in the restaurant industry. The constant references to specific positions and situations within kitchens may leave some listeners feeling left out or uninterested. Additionally, if you don't enjoy raunchy or explicit content, this podcast may not be for you as it does delve into such topics at times.
In conclusion, despite some drawbacks, The Rags To Dishes podcast is highly recommended for anyone with experience in the restaurant or kitchen industry. It provides an entertaining outlet for relatable stories and allows listeners to reminisce or gain insight into life behind-the-scenes. Max and Dan's repartee keeps things light-hearted and enjoyable throughout each episode. Here's to many more episodes filled with funny memories and storytelling!

Some tough goes of it at certain places forcing her to quit or leave and the experiences of dealing with those issues and finding a way to leave and say "Fuck it im not happy here so im not working here" Not all dark and deep as Guin also brings a very joyous charm to the usual witty banter of the R2D podcast crew as Max learns what gatekeeping is as well as other goofs along the way

The crew talks Ogies Trailer Park, and how the toxicity of late night service industry work can result in bad choices and mental heath in the somewhat beautifully disgusting culture of bars. Sammi talks of her time in the industry as a shot girl and then later a delivery driver for JRs. A brutal discussion over the greatest shortstop of alltime as well as plenty of Long Island fireworks to go along in this action packed episode revealing the legend of Samantha Jones
