Fast food, gas station food, streaming wars and baseball — this episode of the podcast covers a little bit of everything. Chris and Craig sit down for a wide-ranging conversation that starts with one of the most talked-about fast food chains in America: In-N-Out Burger.Craig recently visited one of the newer In-N-Out locations in Tennessee as the iconic West Coast chain expands further east. Known for its cult following in California, the restaurant is quickly gaining attention in the South thanks to longtime fans and a wave of California transplants who swear by the brand. But is the hype justified? Craig shares his firsthand experience — from long drive-through lines and packed parking lots to the classic Double-Double burger, fries and shakes. The conversation also dives into what makes In-N-Out unique compared to other fast food chains. Unlike many competitors, the menu is extremely simple: burgers, fries and shakes. No chicken sandwiches, no nuggets and no fish sandwiches. Chris and Craig debate whether that simplicity is part of the brand's success and whether the food actually lives up to its reputation. From there, the discussion turns to another cult-favorite travel stop: Buc-ee's. Known for massive stores, spotless bathrooms, brisket sandwiches and a wall of beef jerky, Buc-ee's has become a destination for road-trippers across the South. With Ohio preparing for its first Buc-ee's location, Chris asks Craig whether the excitement is warranted — and Craig explains why the experience is far more than a typical gas station visit. The episode also touches on how drive-through culture has reshaped the restaurant industry, why some chains are shrinking indoor dining spaces, and how convenience has become a major factor for families on the go.Later in the show, Chris and Craig discuss the World Baseball Classic, the debate over MLB players representing their countries, and what it means for fans who follow players across different teams and nations. They also briefly touch on the ever-changing streaming landscape and how potential mergers between major media companies could reshape the entertainment industry. If you enjoy conversations about food, sports, media and everyday life, this episode is packed with fun takes and honest opinions. This special "Give War a Chance" episode, the second under our joint sponsorship of the Civitas Institute and Ricochet, had some peculiar technical glitches that make it quite odd and somewhat disjointed. Steve cut out halfway through, and getting him back was a great bollix. In any case, we reviewed some key points of the Great Iran War of 2026, along with observations on the Supreme Court's intervention on the side of California parents (we can't believe this was even an issue, but it is), and then after Steve came back, a mad scramble to the finish. We do manage to get in some important cultural notes, such as the new McDonald's 1,000-calorie-plus Big Arch burger, and talking John down from his first ever visit to Buc-ees.
Buc-ee's needs to expand into the DMV ASAP.

The Upduck crew is back with a full recap of Oklahoma Round Two—our second trip south chasing late-season ducks with RedBeards Waterfowl Outfitters. This year looked a lot different than last: warm temps, stale birds, teal chaos, ringneck action, and the kind of hunts that remind you why nothing in waterfowl is guaranteed. We break down all three hunts—from a ringer-loaded opener to a blink-and-you-miss-it teal bomb and a final morning that perfectly captured the grind of late season. Along the way, we dive into dog work, shot decisions, guided hunt expectations, jump shooting, and why sometimes the best part of a hunting trip isn't the bird count. Add in Buc-ee's culture shock, Oklahoma catfish, gas station debates, and post-season reflection, and you've got an episode that's equal parts hunt recap and reality check. If you're missing the blind, battling duck depression, or planning your next out-of-state trip, you'll enjoy this episode. A viral clip from Sandringham has American viewers fixated on an unexpected detail: what appeared to be a Buc-ee's plush toy in the crowd behind Prince William and his children during the Christmas Day church walk. The Texas convenience-store mascot has no UK footprint, making its appearance at a royal moment both baffling and instantly memeable, with speculation over how it ended up so close to the royals. We also revisit claims from Rob Shuter that Prince William objected to King Charles including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie in the Christmas walk, with sources framing the disagreement as a wider clash over judgement and authority.Meanwhile, Kate is being described as an “eternal influencer” after recognition from British Vogue, as commentators point again to the so-called Kate effect on brands.Plus, renewed scrutiny of royal security after an intruder allegedly breached Kensington Palace grounds twice in the days before Christmas and has now pleaded guilty, with former royal protection officials raising questions about why he was able to return. We wrap with honours list headlines including Idris Elba's knighthood and Cynthia Erivo receiving an MBE, a redesigned British passport now bearing King Charles's coat of arms, and a new Amazon Prime Video documentary on the King's environmental work, narrated by Kate Winslet.Palace Intrigue is your daily royal family podcast, diving deep into the modern-day drama, power struggles, and scandals shaping the future of the monarchy.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.

Dolly Parton BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Dolly Parton kicked off 2026 with a heartfelt Instagram post on New Years Eve, wishing fans more blessings than they can count after a tough year marked by her husband Carl Deans passing after nearly 60 years and health woes that sidelined her Las Vegas residency, according to Rolling Stone reports via MyEagleCountry and BuzzCountry. The 79 year old icon highlighted bright spots like her collab with Sabrina Carpenter, a reworked Home Sweet Home alongside Motley Crue, and snagging an honorary Oscar at the Governors Awards, all while pausing songwriting amid grief but staying upbeat.Buzz is building around her bold truck stop empire, Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stops, relaunching the Cornersville flagship spot early summer 2026 with more locations coming, as Fox News detailed alongside her shoutouts to fave Nashville haunts like the Grand Ole Opry where she marked 50 years in 2019, Tootsies Orchid Lounge, and the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. AOL calls it a game changer filling a void for truckers and road trippers, even pitting it against Buc ees heavyweights.Look for her on one of 2026s 100 biggest concert tours per AOL, plus the splashy Dolly The Songteller Hotel opening in Nashville come June, per Fox17s roundup of Middle Tennessee booms. Meanwhile, her Dollywood theme park wraps holiday lights and shuts down January 4 for routine winter maintenance due to cold snapping 22 rides, as Economic Times and Mens Journal note no major drama there. No fresh public appearances or social mentions popped since her NYE glow up, but these ventures cement her empire expanding from stages to highways with lasting biographical punch.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

AI is everywhere in education but what if our fear of it isn't new at all? In this episode, I'm joined by Brett Salakas from down under. He delivers one of the most unexpected AI metaphors you'll ever hear: Frankenstein. This conversation connects AI, educational change, and human fear in a way that will completely shift how you think about innovation in schools. We unpack why every major tech revolution follows the same pattern, why "Luddites" weren't villains, and what educators can learn from a 200-year-old novel about embracing change without losing our humanity. Oh and yes…Buc-ee's, poetry slams, beaver onesies, and brisket sandwiches all make an appearance. If you're wrestling with AI implementation, staff resistance, or your own uncertainty, this episode will give you clarity, perspective, and a few laughs along the way. Buen provecho! RV CONVERSATION OF THE WEEK - The RV Accident That Changed Everything Andy and Joanne Larrimore are longtime RVers who, earlier this year, set out on what was supposed to be their biggest adventure yet. They packed up their Class A, hooked up their toad, and rolled out of southeast Massachusetts bound for Florida. The trip started exactly the way RV dreams are supposed to start, sunshine, family time, and a memorable stop at Disney with loved ones in Orlando. But a couple of weeks in, everything changed. Andy came down with a serious upper respiratory infection. Then word came that Joanne's mom, who was in a nursing home, was not doing well. They made the tough decision to cut the trip short and head back north. Somewhere in South Carolina, the unthinkable happened. Andy blacked out behind the wheel, and their rig crashed. Both Andy and Joanne were med-lifted separately to the hospital. They suffered serious injuries, and the road to recovery has not been easy. Thankfully, they are both doing much better today. And here is the part of their story that really matters, they are not done with the RV lifestyle. The Larrimores have chosen to share what they went through, what they learned, and the lessons that could help every one of us travel safer and smarter. This is a powerful conversation about resilience, preparedness, and why even life-changing setbacks do not have to mean the end of the road. Listen or watch their interview in the podcast players above. This part of the podcast is sponsored by RVOvernights, where you can stay free at farms, wineries, and attractions across the country. RV NEWS OF THE WEEK Forget Candy Bars—This Iowa Mall Vending Machine Dispenses Starlink So we've heard of getting a can of soda or maybe a Snickers bar from a vending machine, but a Starlink system?? Yet that is exactly what happened in Iowa! A self-serve vending machine quietly appeared at a shopping mall's food court in Des Moines. It is designed to dispense a standard Starlink dish and accessories, including mounts and the Wi-Fi router. Word is that more are coming. No More Reservations: Glacier National Park Rethinks Summer Access This is a big story for fans of Glacier National Park… Reservations will NOT be needed at Glacier for the summer of 2026. Why, because the National Parks Service says the system did not work as planned. The reservation system, started four years ago, was supposed to cut down on long afternoon lines by requiring people to register to enter between 7 am and 4 pm. What happened is mid-day traffic was much better, but the early morning crowds trying to beat the registration time became problematic, causing new issues. So now the popular park is doing away with reservations altogether. Trump on the 2026 Park Pass? Lawsuit Says Not So Fast Okay… we try to steer away from politics but this is a story we couldn't ignore. An environmental group is suing to remove President Donald Trump's picture from the 2026 National Park Service's Annual Pass. The 2026 Annual Pass features a picture of President George Washington and President Trump and the number 250 for the country's 250th birthday. The Center for Biological Diversity's lawsuit claims the design violates a law that requires the America the Beautiful pass to feature a photo taken on public lands that won an annual photo contest. The Secretary of the Interior says the photo winner will be on the pass for foreign visitors, while Trump's picture will be on the one for U.S. residents. Stay tuned. Only in Gatlinburg: Black Bear Steals the Show at Christmas Parade Did you hear about what happened as crowds gathered to watch the Gatlinburg Fantasy of Lights 50th Annual Christmas Parade last week? A lone black bear meandered in. The black bear casually cut through the crowds and walked down the parade route for a bit, as stunned onlookers sat along the curb watching in disbelief. Some visitors captured video - after all, this is not something you see every day! Buc-ee's Goes Big Again: 17 New Mega Stops on the Way The ultimate road-trip stop, Buc-ee's, is planning to open 17 new locations across the country over the next few years. In 2026, the gigantic convenience store and fuel stop plans to open locations in Huber Heights, Ohio, San Marcos, Texas, and Goodyear, Arizona. Eight more stops are planned for 2027, five for 2028, and one for 2031. The Texas-based (and Texas-sized!) company is a popular destination for many RVers, and soon there will be even more locations along your route This part of the podcast is sponsored by Wholesale Warranties, where you can get the best deal on extended warranty coverage for your RVs. Is this a fuse or breaker issue? Open to suggestions to fix the problem. RV connected to shore power. ANSWER: This happens a lot with RVs. It's almost always a tripped GFI plug. On the Unity, I believe it's on the side of the passenger pass-through storage area or in the bathroom. Just push in the little recessed switch between the plugs and you'll be good. QUESTION: From Larry: Why are Class B campervans so expensive? The one we want is almost $250,000. I can get a Class A for that, or a luxury fifth wheel and a brand new heavy-duty truck. I don't get it. Campervans are small. ANSWER: You're absolutely right to be scratching your head at those price tags. When you see a campervan that's basically built on a cargo van chassis hitting a quarter million dollars, it feels ridiculous, especially when you could roll into a dealership and drive out with a gorgeous 40-foot Class A motorhome for the same money. Or like you said, snag a top-of-the-line fifth wheel and a fully loaded F-350 and still have cash left over. Here's the deal: you're paying a massive premium for engineering magic in a tiny space. Think about it: those Class B builders are cramming a full bathroom with a real shower, a kitchen with actual counter space, sleeping accommodations, storage, and all your systems (electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling) into what's essentially a walk-in closet on wheels. That level of space efficiency doesn't come cheap. The other factor? Volume. The big RV manufacturers are pumping out hundreds or thousands of Class A motorhomes and fifth wheels every year. They've got economies of scale working for them. Meanwhile, Class B builders are producing these things in much smaller numbers, often with semi-custom features and higher-end components. You're not getting the mass-production discount. Plus, that Mercedes, Ford Transit or RAM ProMaster base chassis aren't exactly cheap to begin with, and then you're adding premium materials because everything has to be lightweight and compact. Those fancy European-style cabinets, that space-saving toilet, that innovative bed system: it all costs more than the standard RV stuff. And let's be honest, there's a lifestyle tax baked in too. Class B campervans became the hot ticket for a certain “van life” demographic who wants to look like they're just driving a cool van while secretly having all the amenities. That "stealth camping" capability and the ability to fit in a regular parking spot? The market will bear a premium price for those benefits. Does it make financial sense?
Bob and Dave make their predictions for Sunday’s Seahawks game against the Colts in this week’s edition of Call It Now. They go around the NFL and talk about some of the league’s top headlines including speculation about Baker Mayfield’s tenure with the Buccaneers, and much more. They discuss the Tampa Bay’s recent fall from grace and debate whether or not it makes the Seahawks loss to the Buc’s look even worse. They talk about Aaron Rodgers’ reaction to Phillip Rivers return to the NFL, Pete Schrager thinking the Raiders have a chance to upset the Eagles this weekend, and more in Sweeping The Dial.
Martin might be in the doghouse, but Uncle Si steals the show when he reveals the playful little ritual he and Christine share that keeps their love alive, even at his age. John-David seems determined to install a fridge in every room of his house—including a few that absolutely should not have one. Phillip finally explains the long-running mystery of why he was banned from the Robertson duck blind 35 years ago and hasn't been invited back since. Si also laughs about the surprisingly simple and honestly kinda weird reason he and Christine struggled to start a family early in their marriage. The boys agree that the baby born in a Buc-ee's parking lot is already off to a legendary start in life. In this week's episode, Lo is joined by actress, singer, producer and Dallas Texas native Hayley Orrantia. They take the Lo Lifers deep into their Texas takeover — from Dallas culture shocks to full-blown southern awakenings. Lo enjoyed his first-ever cattle walk, discovered the chaotic glory of Buc-ee's, and had a spiritual experience with Whataburger (jury's still out). The duo breaks down the unhinged magic of garters and mums, the Texan traditions that left Lo questioning every California school dance he ever attended. They spill on the restaurants that were overhyped, the spots that earned the official Lo Life Stamp of Approval, and Lo's favorite neighborhood in Dallas that low-key feels like its own world.Hayley also dishes on performing at a massive LGBTQ+ gala — yes, 2,000 gays turning up in the middle of conservative Texas — complete with a charity auction, drag-level energy, and enough sequins to blind a longhorn. Then it's time for their new game “Texas or NAH?”, where Lo tests Hayley's Lone Star patriotism and exposes just how seriously Texans take… being Texan. It's an easy, hilarious, comfort-listen with tons of culture, chaos, and cowboy energy. A perfect escape episode.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
