Outdoor Life has been publishing hunting, fishing, and conservation stories since 1898. Its flagship podcast brings deep-dive journalism to the issues that are most important to sportsmen and women. Hosted and produced by the editors with field reporting from our best contributors, the show airs weekly.
The Outdoor Life Podcast is a delightful addition to the world of outdoor and conservation podcasts. As someone who has been a long-time fan of Outdoor Life magazine, I was initially surprised when they ventured into podcasting. However, after giving it a listen, I can confidently say that I am glad they did.
One of the best aspects of The Outdoor Life Podcast is the in-depth and personal stories that are shared. Just like in their magazine, the hosts tackle a wide range of outdoor topics, including hunting, fishing, camping, and conservation. The episodes are well-researched and offer unique insights from experts in the field. Whether they are discussing new gear for anglers or profiling successful conservation projects, there is always something interesting to learn.
The hosts of The Outdoor Life Podcast have a knack for bringing these stories to life through audio format. Their storytelling abilities make you feel like you are right there with them on their outdoor adventures. They have an engaging and conversational tone that keeps listeners hooked from start to finish. Additionally, the production quality is top-notch, with clear audio and smooth editing that adds to the overall listening experience.
However, no podcast is without its flaws. One aspect that some listeners might find disappointing about The Outdoor Life Podcast is its frequency of releases. While each episode is packed with valuable information and entertainment, the release schedule can be inconsistent at times. This might leave fans eagerly waiting for new episodes only to find gaps between releases.
In conclusion, The Outdoor Life Podcast delivers an excellent blend of insight and perspective on various conservation topics in a way that translates well into an audio format. Despite a few inconsistencies in their release schedule, this podcast remains highly recommended for anyone interested in outdoor activities or environmental issues. It offers both educational value and entertainment for listeners who enjoy learning more about nature and our role in preserving it.

At this point in the deer season, all serious whitetail hunters have two important questions to answer: When will that target buck move? And where will he go? To answer these questions, we can use recent and historic trail camera data plus traditional woodsmanship skills and good old hunter's intuition. But it also helps to have an understanding of the bigger picture. And for that, you can't beat GPS collar data from Dr. Bronson Strickland. Strickland is a co-director of the Mississippi State University Deer Lab, and a certified wildlife biologist. Through the Deer Lab, he conducts research that's important for deer science but also has management and hunting implications. This episode is brought to you by Moultrie.
