Most ladies tend to throw scissors on the first round, so choosing rock can increase your odds at winning when your challenger is a woman. Fill your vocabulary with more two and three-letter words. Make the letter “s” your best friend. Also, be sure to analyze the board carefully before making your move. -Don't be too picky at the beginning of the game. The sooner you start buying properties, the better. It's better to buy as many orange and red spaces as possible because they're the most landed-on. -One of the most important things is having no strategy at all! Believe it or not, it's way better to concentrate all your energy on individual moves. -Don't forget that you can always block incoming balls with your own ball. This trick comes in handy when you know you can't possibly dodge the ball coming your way. When you're the last person left on the court representing your team, or there's just a ton of attacks coming right at you, kneel down and hold your ball in front of you like a shield. -If you wanna win, you actually need to find out exactly how bad you are. The easiest way to do that is to just throw three darts aiming at 20 and see where they end up. Then, simply measure the distance between each of them and the 20. And here's where the math comes in. Once you've got both measurements, calculate their average by adding them together and dividing the result by two. If you're accurate within 5mm, you should aim for a treble 20. If your result is within 25mm of accuracy, it's better to aim for a treble 19. And finally, if you've found out that you're accurate only within 60mm, try to stick to a large spot around the center to the lower-left of the bullseye. Common Mistakes When Setting BoundariesI'm not trying to judge you or how you set boundaries. I'm just trying to share some of the common pitfalls that I've noticed parents often make when trying to set boundaries. Usually, the only reason I would call it a "mistake" is that it doesn't create the results that they are looking for. MISTAKE:Setting boundaries to control your teen.SECRET TIP:Shift your focus from your teen (something outside of your control) to what you can control, how you will respond.MISTAKE:Setting boundaries to get your teen to change or do something different.SECRET TIP:Again, this is focused on changing your teen or getting them to do something different, both outside of your control. It's better to focus on what YOU CAN CONTROL, you and how you will think, feel, and act.MISTAKE:Trying to be "COOL" and setting no boundaries.SECRET TIP:Don't worry about being cool. Sometimes your teen will not like your boundaries, and that's okay!MISTAKE:Making boundaries super complicated.SECRET TIP:The best boundaries are simple and clear.MISTAKE:Setting boundaries without even attempting to get your teen's input or getting them on board.SECRET TIP:When possible give your teen a voice. Give them the opportunity to chime in and help make the boundaries even better.MISTAKE:Setting boundaries out of anger and/or fear.SECRET TIP:Fear and anger rarely help you be the parent of your dreams.
