FF: Forget About Price - Look at Value There is a big difference between money and currency. While people were fascinated by alchemy, you cannot turn lead into gold. That is one of the reasons that gold is money. Since you can't just make more of it, it cannot be inflated like currency. We go over the market caps of different investments and how they relate to each other. We also talk about IPO's, risk, and price expectations. Since the dollar can be inflated, it may be better to measure the cost of things in something that the government cannot just make more of, like gold. In the end, it isn't the price of something, it's about the value. Silver, Taxes, and Unconstitutional Laws The price of a McDonald's Big Mac meal was 35 cents in 1964 with the dime and quarter that still had silver in it. Today, the same amount of silver will buy you the same meal, even though it's more than $10. We talk about how you can use silver in your portfolio.   Property taxes increases are still a hot-button topic here in Ohio, where more and more people are getting involved and signing the petition to get an amendment on the ballot to end property taxes statewide. A recent poll shows that 61% of voters would vote for this. If it passes here in Ohio, there are other states that will be looking at getting rid of property taxes also.
