Many teams in real estate are struggling with how to grow without overspending on leads or losing control of profitability. At the same time, leaders are facing shifting interest rates, limited inventory, and the challenge of keeping agents productive in a competitive market. On this episode of the GRIT podcast, Brian Charlesworth sits down with Robert Conway from the Jeremy Orton Group in Idaho. Robert leads both operations and sales, giving him a unique view of how to scale while keeping systems and people aligned. Robert shares how he approached cutting lead costs, building a referral-based business, and using Sisu's predictive models to forecast closings with precision. He explains why accountability is central to the culture of their team. “Accountability is the highest form of love,” he says. Welcome to the Dashboard Diaries a special four-part mini-series brought to you by the AnchorED City Podcast. During this four-part mini-series we will connect with Anchorage's soul through her history, stories, and people by connecting to four places along the road from our drive across this vast land of ours. Graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska in 2002, Chuma began his “jump” into BASE with a solid skydiving career beginning at the age of 16 in Caldwell, Idaho. In 2007, after completing over 700 skydives, Chuma made the move to Twin Falls, ID where he now runs a very successful BASE Jumping School – Inter-Demented BASE. Chuma's impressive athletic background in gymnastics, skiing, and pole-vaulting has provided him with the necessary skill set and physical fitness to successfully perform complicated aerial maneuvers in BASE Jumping. He has become well known for his originality and style within this arena and is responsible for several world recognized BASE Jumping tricks, as well as pioneering many unpacked jumps and refining the “game over”. Chuma is responsible for making the “tweener,” named by Chuma, famous amongst jumpers by successfully performing this trick off multiple BASE exits. Chuma's background in gymnastics gives him a unique kinesthetic awareness that sets him apart from other BASE jumpers, when it comes to tricks, solid exits and landings. In 2009, Chuma and his former business partners developed the world's first commercial Tandem Base Jumping operation. During the experimental phase, Chuma personally performed many test jumps with experienced BASE jumpers acting as passengers. Since 2009, he has completed over 500 tandem BASE jumps without incident, and currently holds the record for the most tandem BASE jumps completed. Recently, he has completed a tandem jump off all four objects in the word BASE. It is believed that he is the first and only person in the world to have done this. His company, Tandem BASE LLC, has performed tandem BASE jumps at bridge day in Fayetteville, West Virginia for the past 4 years. Chuma was the first person in the world to complete a tandem BASE jump from the Menara KL Tower, and the Wisma Sanyan in Malaysia, 2013. In 2014, Chuma became the first person to perform a tandem BASE jump in Zakynthos, Greece at Shipwreck beach, and later that year in Arco, Italy at Monte' Brento. Later in 2014, Chuma finished in the top 16 at the Red Bull Aces Wingsuit race, an event where the world's best wingsuit athletes completed in a slalom course held in place by helicopters. In 2015, Chuma performed the first quadriplegic tandem BASE jump with passenger Pete Bonser. The following year, Chuma took the first person with cerebral palsy, Marlena Katene, on a jump from the KL tower in Malaysia. One of his favorite achievements includes taking 102 year old Dorothy Cluster on a tandem BASE jump from the Perrine Bridge in June 2013. Being able to travel the world, meeting like-minded people, and BASE jumping in incredible places is Chuma's biggest joy. Currently, Chuma is moving towards a career in television and film, and has made several television appearances in the past 4 years including: the Travel Channel's Ride-iculous, Trip Flip, and MSNBC's Caught on Camera. He is currently working with producers and colleagues on a documentary that highlights the type of lifestyle he enjoys – being a professional “fun maker”. Despite this very impressive professional history, Sean remains grounded and humble regarding his achievements and always stresses the importance of planning, experience and guidance in all areas of BASE jumping.

State officials even developed a hiking trail, the Poke Hollow Trail, that recalls an encounter with the beast in the 1970s. The story was popularized by folklorist and West Virginia Senator David “Bugs” Stover, who often recounts it on summer evenings at the park campground. The legend dates back to 1942, when 19-year-old Big Jim McMoore was target shooting in the hollow near Polk Gap. That's when he spotted a hairy monster with glowing red eyes, perched high in the trees. The creature, nearly 12 feet tall, jumped down and chased Big Jim through the trees to the edge of the woods, where he sought safety inside his cabin. So if you're hiking in the woods near Twin Falls and hear a crashing through the trees, keep an eye out for the monster! Our first stop is a hearty breakfast at The Egg and I, followed by a visit to the impressive Hoover Dam, capturing the essence of American engineering and natural beauty. Our travels then take us through the picturesque landscapes of Arizona, where we marvel at the Horseshoe Bend and explore the Navajo Arts and Crafts at the Cameron Trading Post. The vast red rock formations of Monument Valley leave a lasting impression, and we savor the tranquility of our remote Airbnb stays. As we journey through Utah, the green scenery of Monticello and the unique rock formations captivate us. In Salt Lake City, we are pleasantly surprised by the vibrant, inclusive atmosphere, visiting charming bookshops and enjoying local delicacies. The Bonneville Salt Flats and the quirky Shoshone Falls in Idaho add a sense of wonder to our trip, culminating in a memorable dining experience in Nampa.
Welcome to the daily304 – your window into Wonderful, Almost Heaven, West Virginia. Today is Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024. Marshall's film degree program creates opportunities for a Fairmont resident as the city pitches in on her capstone project…Cool off at the new splash pad at Twin Falls Resort…and Barnwood Living offers chic tiny cabins for rent in Almost Heaven…on today's daily304. #1 – From TIMES WV – Firefighters from the Fairmont Fire Department waited for their cue outside the Marion County Courthouse. On Trinity Rollins' orders, they unleashed a jet of water into the air and the droplets splashed down on students from Shawna Santee's 5th Street Center for Dance. Rollins, 21, used the power of movie magic to recreate one of her younger experiences in Fairmont. Her professor told students to write what they know. So Rollins wrote about one memorable performance from 2021 when her dance class performed in the rain after a city parade was canceled. The short film, “It's Only a Parade,” was part of Rollins' capstone project at Marshall University in which she had to pitch, plan and script a film project. Rollins put her production together at the same time more opportunities for video and film production are beginning to pop up in West Virginia. Tax incentives for film production have returned at the state level. At the same time, Marshall launched the state's first bachelor's degree program in filmmaking in the fall. The Lily Pad Splash Park has several water features including a dump cylinder that drops hundreds of gallons of water every five minutes, water blasters, water cannons, sprinklers, splashing frogs, and an aqua table. Splash park users can also enjoy a lounge area and a small refreshment and retail area that sells a variety of frozen treats, drinks, snacks, logo apparel and beach towels. The splash pad was part of a $4 million bond project that included rebuilding the Twin Falls Resort Pro Shop, which opened in the spring of 2023. Additional ongoing projects at Twin Falls include adding a climbing wall and relocating the parks' nature center. The Falls Trail is also receiving a boardwalk and trail enhancements. Bowe is the host of the hit TV show “Barnwood Builders,” where he and his crew preserve and repurpose historic log homes. His latest project is the perfect combination of old materials used in a new style–log cabin tiny homes. “We get at least 500 people from out of state that come to the store every month,” Bowe says. Now those visitors can stay in a cabin Bowe and the builders constructed just for them. Over the last year and a half, he and the crew have been hard at work building tiny cabins behind their store. The Spa City Cottage and the Big Draft Timberframe are available for rent via Airbnb. And the Dry Creek Cabin will be ready for visitors this fall. The cabins are equipped with modern amenities and make a great place to stay for visitors exploring the Greenbrier Valley. Check out wvtourism.com to learn more about the region. And check out some “must-see” blooms and waterfalls this spring in Almost Heaven…on today's daily304. #1 – From WOWK-TV – The inspiring story found within “October Sky,” based on the book by West Virginia's Homer Hickam and set in the Mountain State, inspired Amazon founder Jeff Bezos to create the aerospace company, Blue Origin. In 2000, Amazon founder Bezos founded a new company: Blue Origin. The company is most well-known nowadays for taking celebrities up into space, including “Star Trek” legend William Shatner, and “Good Morning America” host and former NFL player Michael Strahan. According to the novel “The Space Barons: Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and the Quest to Colonize the Cosmos” by Christian Davenport, Bezos was partially inspired to create the aerospace company after seeing the 1999 film, “October Sky.” The film is based on “Rocket Boys,” Hickam's memoir that details his youth in 1950s rural West Virginia where he and a few friends take up rocketry after being inspired by the launch of Sputnik 1. Greg Snow was raised in Twin Falls, ID. He grew up in sports; baseball, basketball, and football. He got a job at the stockyards and that was when he first became interested in cattle. He found out there were full time cowboy jobs from Kurt Marcus articles in the western horseman and he has had the “cowboy bug” ever since. After high school, he turned down a few football scholarships and instead bought a cheap used saddle, a rope and a snaffle bit. The rest is history. He's worked on ranches in a few different states and is a well-known name in the ranching world. I had a lot of fun visiting with him and I hope you enjoy his story. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/cowboy-stories/support

This was another name that I was familiar with, so it was pretty cool to meet the man in charge. This meeting was heavily themed around tracking results for some different keywords that the Thrivetime business coaching program was helping this client to rank for. Like the others, this meeting ended up with some performance tweaks to be made to the client's website that will nearly guarantee the client's business to show up higher for the keywords that he wants to show up for in Google. At this point, a couple in yellow shirts come in. They're from a company that has gone through a tremendous amount of growth since starting to work with Clay and the crew: Tip Top K9. Clay offered to let me bounce a few questions off of them after the meeting. Once they finished up, Tip Top K9 founder Ryan Wimpey came over to where I was waiting so I recorded a few questions that I asked him. I'm going to transcribe this conversation to text, so I'll keep it fairly abbreviated for the sake of our collective sanities. Tyler (Just Tulsa): So, the first time I had ever heard of Tip Top K9 was back around September in one of the Thrivetime business conferences. How long have you all been working with the Thrivetime business coaching program? In a world dominated by convention, Miles Daisher stands out. Raised in an adventurous Air Force family, he never settled for a regular 9 to 5. Instead, Miles pursued his passion for skydiving and BASE jumping, amassing over 10,000 skydives, 7,000 BASE jumps, and breaking records, including 63 BASE jumps in 24 hours in 2017. He's an innovator in the sport and a member of the prestigious Red Bull Air Force. While he's a thrill-seeker, Miles is also a dedicated father and husband based in Twin Falls, Idaho, where he mentors upcoming BASE jumpers.SHOW NOTES The Beginning of the JourneyHow Skydiving Saved Miles' SoulMaking His First BASE Jump (head down)Remembering mentor Frank GambalieJoining the Red Bull Air ForceDoing Stunts with Tom CruiseA Gnarly BASE JumpMiles' BASE Jump PreparationWalking Away from a Jump Low Pull off the Perrine Bridge Expectations from Red BullThe Key to Longevity63 BASE Jumps in 24 HoursMEDIA LINKS FROM THIS EPISODEShane McConkey | Trailer Shane McConkey | Documentary Miles Above | Red Bull SeriesBehind the Scenes: Mission Impossible Dead ReckoningHelmet Cam POV - Jumping In the Gaylord National HotelOutside POV - Jumping In the Gaylord National HotelBASE Jump: The Lost City of PetraJOIN OUR COMMUNITYLove the show?
